I have been going to this Olive Garden since I have moved to Beckley (about 1 1/2 years). I always sit at the bar and I have noticed that (in the last couple of months) since the new GM, has been there the service and food has improved immensely! Josh at the bar is awe some also!

I ate here with a friend it took a bit for our food to arrive but I would rather wait and have it cooked just right than be served raw chicken. The good was very good. Our server was very attentive if your glass was empty he failed it, if you ran out of salad he brought you more. Great place to eat.

Had a chance to try out this Olive Garden during the afternoon of Thursday, 16 July, 2015, and it was a great experience. The service was excellent and the food was really great as well. I had the Five Cheese Ziti entree and I was very pleased as well my mother and stepfather, you tried the Chicken Alfredo and the tour of Italy respectively. Really couldn't have been much of a better experience. The only reason I gave it four stars instead of five was that it really is pretty expensive. After tipping our waitress, it was $60 for 3 adults to have a heavy lunch/early dinner. Nice for a special occasion definitely.

This place is going downhill fast! Food is ok but service needs work...it took 40 minutes plus to get our soup n breadsticks after we sat down. My friend went back a week later and had just got her food and had to go away from the table, her food was just delivered and she told them. Five minutes later food was gone n table cleared...it was great in the beginning.

Food is typical OG. Service at this store is somewhat slow and lacking. Usually sit at the bar for better service.

If this restaurant is open in six months I'll be surprised. Service was good; however, the food was bland and below par for other Olive Gardens. I won't eat there again. Eat at Padrino's in Beckley it's much better...if you can find a seat.

This Olive Garden is really disorganized, and slow. 5 of us went there for lunch today. It took about 30 minutes to get two glasses of prosecco because even though it is listed on their menu, the waiter had "never served this before" and didn't know how to open it. We received our big bowl of salad and it was barely dressed. My sister ordered a gnocchi soup that arrived at our table with no gnocchi! The waiter informed us that it "wasn't my fault." 4 of us finally got our entrees while my neice had to wait at least 10 more minutes before her meal arrived. We asked for more breadsticks, and the waiter seemed really aggravated with this request. Sadly, we fared better than the couple at the table beside us. They were there well before us but received nothing more than salad and bread. Apparently, they forgot their entrees. They asked to speak to the manager who apologized and promised to get their food but they told him they were too upset to eat at that point. All in all, a frustrating experience at Olive Garden in Beckley today. I suspect the kitchen is poorly organized and needs a better managerial system.

We went in expecting to have a short wait but didn't have to wait at all. However, they were out of the usual salad dressing and didn't even bother to tell us. They just used another. Then I got my entrée and it had the wrong kind of pasta. When I asked the server about it, she insisted that it was right. I felt like I had "stupid" written on my forehead. I understand that they could have of something because it was an hour from closing time but, be honest about it.

Italian Cuisine

The immense popularity of Italian cuisine globally isn't unknown. You can find an Italian Pizzeria around every corner of almost every city in the United States. Not to forget that in every house, people enjoy mac and cheese as comfort food. But it would be wrong to believe that Italian food starts with pizza and ends with good pasta as this Mediterranean country has much more to offer other than these two dishes. In Italian Cuisine, there is a high use of fresh tomatoes, all kinds of herbs, great quality of cheese, all types of meat, seafood and fresh handmade pasta. Many find it hard to believe that Italians have been making noodles long back.

Italian and Greek cuisines are always mistaken to be same, but they are poles apart. The primary difference between the two cuisines is the use of cheese in most of the Italian dishes. Italians love to cultivate their own cheese and process them as per their food requirement. It is believed that some cheese is so expensive that cheese producers secure them in lockers.

If you are bored eating the same old pasta or pizza, you can try some of the authentic Italian dishes like Risotto, Polenta, Ribollita, Lasagna, Fiorentina Steak, Bottarga, Ossobuco, Carbonara, Focaccia, Arancini and Supplì. Another item which Italians love to relish every morning is a good cup of Italian Coffee. Once you taste a freshly brewed cup of Italian Coffee, you might not visit Starbucks ever again. Authentic Italian food is made with heart and soul, so go find a restaurant where you can relish Italian cuisine in your city.
