The food was very good. It should be because you build it yourself. The staff explained to my kids and I how to go through the line and pick out of ingredients. They were very helpful.

I would say this place gave me a very mixed feeling when I left. The food tasted pretty good and I liked the build your own dish aspect of it. I also liked the variety of the drinks and sauces optional with my meal. The tricks the chefs performed while cooking my food was the coolest part. The service was pretty good and the people were nice. However, on the downside, the meat was chewy and stringy, The environment was somewhat dirty but not terrible. The worst part as I felt was the price of the food at 14 dollars per plate. My family paid 60 dollars for 4 plates and 4 dinky side salads and ice waters. Only 2 of us got seconds. It's only worth the price if. You have a huge appetite and can eat multiple plates. Overall a cool experience but not a favorite.

I always enjoy Hu Huts and everything they have to offer. This is a relatively new Hu Hut and is up to par with pretty much every other one. It's always fun to create your own stir fry and top it off with tons of different sauce choices! The meat selection is good, I always suggest the sausage, gives a great and unique taste to any stir fry! Always tons of fresh veggies to try mix your dish up! They were swamped tonight and the table service was a tad slow for me. Didn't get a refill at all during our meal but everything else was great! Would come again!

Why does the server always forget my water? It's expensive if you don't have an astronomical appetite...

Host's greeting: "How many?" Host's statement when we walk in with 4 people instead of 4 to the 4-top table:"You said there were 3." "Oops, 4". Slams down menus on table in irritation. Waitresses lecture with a rude demeanor: "Don't order the salad if you don't want it, you wouldn't believe how much salad waste." When further rudeness ensues from waitress, and she says she's not trying to be rude when we ask if our autistic daughter can order off the kid menu and we say no one said she was she rolls her eyes and shakes her head. Last straw. It's as if we are a burden at this restaurant. Good luck.

We came in on the 3rd day it was open. It was great! Everything was clean and the food was so fresh and tasted so very good. Our visits since have been down hill more and more. We have been here on 6 different occasions now and it's gotten really dirty. Menus are sticky, wipe them off! The dishes are dirty with food stuck on them. They need to have a serious clean up. The food doesn't look or taste as fresh and the staff isn't as attentive. Here a tip clean the bathrooms more! They are so gross.

This place has awesome food! Looking online I was a little confused as to if this was a single plate restaurant or all you can eat. While it isn't buffet style it is all you can eat. You grab a bowl, fill it up, give it to the cooks at the grill and you get a cooked plate back Our waitress Rachall was also excellent, very friendly and courteous!

I love everything about this resturant. They have an amazing selection of drinks and food choices. They offer a lot of healthy options which is nice for a change. There cooks are all very nice but there wait staff can be a little rude depending.

What an awesome dining experience! My Granddaughter and I dined here on a Sunday afternoon. We quickly learned the ropes and we each made 3 trips to the stir fry table. We enjoyed everything we tried. I was pleasantly surprised by the tasty egg rolls as you just can't find good egg rolls anymore ;( I brought the Hubs and he loved it just as much as we did. Hu Hot will be part of our monthly rotation.

This location let me like Hu Hot again. It's clean and has well maintained produce and sauces. The server was very accommodating to a gluten free need and the grill was specially cleaned and blocked off to prevent contamination. Excellent! Not all locations do this so it was very pleasing.

This was our first visit to a HuHot, and we will definitely be back for more. The staff was very nice explaining to us how to make the perfect lunch. After 4 trips thru I was stuffed. My wife and I both do not like spicy food, so we tried the "Kids favorite" mixture of Teriyaki and Sweet and Sour. Very flavorful. There was a great selection of meat, fruit, and veggies to make a great stirfry. We will prob never cook stirfry again at home.

Awesome food, good quality. Not really consistent each visit as there are always new faces. Add extra sauce at this location however as they always burn off too much sauce from your bowl by not keeping it from spreading :(

Had a great time there. The food was great. I did however see one of the employes move a tongs from a pork product to a fish this was gross. The restroom was similar. GROSS! The food I ate before seeing this. Over all it was fair.

Ok, my wife and i were passing through town last night and wandered in because it was close to where we were staying. The place was around half full and we were seated promptly. The waitress was great, very friendly and explained everything very well. This is a place where you take a bowl fill it with meat & veg, add sauces of your choice and take it to a Chef for grilling. Everything was great the first time, food was fresh, hot and enjoyable. This place is an all you can eat so I grabbed another bowl and repeated. Took my bowl to one of the chefs(Asian guy wearing big glasses) and was told 'no more ok, last time' I thought that it must be near closing time but looked at my watch and it was only 7:30. I have no idea why this was said to me but it soured the experience so much that I have no intention of returning again. So the summary of this place is, food was nice(it should be, as you choose your own) price was what you would expect for a restaurant like this(mid $30's). Our waitress(Californian girl) was nice. But the rudeness of one of the chefs means i cant recommended this place to anyone.

Girlfriend and I went on 2 separate occasions. First time we went, our waitress was awesome. Was a bit of a wait since we went at lunch time but that was no problem. Its served like a buffet type place where you take a bowl and put your meats, noodles, vegetables, etc. in a bowl, put a few ladles of their many kinds of sauces on top, and stand in line where the cooks will take your bowl and cook it in a hibachi-like style in front of you. I wouldn't say the food is superawesomeamazingohmahgod good, but it's good, though a bit overpriced imo. Both times (with no appetizers) our bill was $35. Granted, you can go up as many times as you want so if you can eat a lot, probably worth the money! Second time we went it was at dinner time, and our waiter was not very good. Never checked in on us once asking if we needed anything or how we were doing, only time we talked to him was when we got there and he took our drinks, then at the end when he took our money. Overall, it's alright I guess. I think you should try it at least once, but honestly I don't see us going back again.

Went on a Friday afternoon and was impressed. I loved the variety and the staff was friendly and helpful. Wife felt it was a little expensive but she didn't eat much so did not get our money off of her. I was very happy with the cost. I will definitely go back soon.

My first visit to the HuHot in Wausau. The food was good, service was terrible. We went on a late Saturday afternoon. The place was not busy, maybe 15 to 20 people there. We sat down and waited to order. It took about 15 minutes for someone to take our order. We ordered 3 soups, only got 2 soups. Nobody was on the restaurant floor working. So when we found someone, that person had to get our waiter. Waited another five minutes for the soup. Probably 20 minutes total. After we got our food, we found we were missing silverware. I had to flag down an employee again to get our waiter to bring us another set of silverware. Another 5 minutes.. Had to flag down another employee twice for our waiter to give us drink refills. 20 minutes. The food was pretty good. We made several dishes, just that after making several spicy dishes, we would like something to drink. I left the waiter a $2.00 tip.. I should have left nothing, but had a guilty conscience.

Chinese Cuisine

The popularity of Chinese food in America can be adjudicated by the appearance of China Town in many major cities in the United State of America. The popular trend of ordering or opting for Chinese take away food isn't unknown in America. Chinese take away food comes to rescue when you're too tired from work or too exhausted to cook. No one can resist the temptation of eating spicy noodles, shrimp, chicken, beef or pork cooked in the sweet and spicy sauce. The cooking method of authentic Chinese food is a lot different compared to what is served in America.

Generally, Chinese use dark meat small bones and organs to cook dishes but this changes when you are eating American-Chinese fusion food prepared using white boneless meat cooked with broccoli, carrots and onions. Back in China, the food is less spicy and oily as they favor steaming and braising method for cooking the most popular dishes. So, if you have a taste for authentic Chinese food, then try finding a real Chinese restaurant in the city. You can also try the most popular fusion Chinese food like Pecking Duck, Chicken Feet, Hot Pot, Shrimp Dumpling Soup, Mapo Tofu, Wontons, Chop Suey, Egg Rolls and not to forget Fortune Cookies.

There are not many restaurants in America serving authentic Chinese food. A little research on Restaurant Listings directory can help you locate the best Chinese restaurants in the city. Chinese cuisine is continuously evolving, and you can find a variety of dishes categorized as the food for lactose intolerant, gluten intolerant, vegan, vegetarian, and diabetic friendly. So, if you have a group of friends with different taste patterns, save the hassle and visit the nearest Chinese restaurant in your city.
