GREAT PIZZA!! we were staying in Waupaca for 4 days on vacation and out of those 4 days we ate at Wheelhouse for dinner twice. The first night we drove up on our boat, parked outside and got a carry out of a few pizzas to take back home. The wait time was normal for any pizza place (about 40 minutes) and the prices were moderate. Now for the pizza, I loved the thin crunchy crust! The sausage was authentic and the sauce to pizza ratio was perfect! (I hate too much sauce). There is not one bad thing I can say about this pizza!!! Oh and there was just the right amount of grease! :) The second time we went the place was PACKED! We had a party of 13 and had to wait about an hour for a table. That was understandable though because it was the "pizza Buffett night." Totally worth the wait once again! The patio was clean and organized even with the place being so packed. The service was great! Our waitress was on top of everything! The Buffett had many different pizza and bread options. My favorite was of course the pepperoni! But they do have a chicken and bacon pizza that was very good as well!

Best pizza in the Waupaca Area. Not looking for pizza? The menu may be one the best near the lakes. Great atmosphere day or night. Too bad there are no docks, but, that might be its saving grace. If you are in Waupaca, make the short drive out to King, eat some 'Za, take home a few frozen, but before heading back to your car, hit up Scoopers. If you are in King, or on the Chain, make this a stop for at least one meal. Oh, and tell Pete "hi" for me.

If you want a GREAT burger in a vacation area, go to the Wheelhouse in Waupaca, Wi. This is a very active, exciting, energetic restaurant!

I had a pizza and a side salad the other night. The veggies on the pizza weren't fresh and had no taste. Additionally I couldn't even taste the sauce. The side salad was unimpressive as well. I saw a article about the restaurant near the bathroom stating they only used fresh ingredients I don't think that's the case anymore. The people with me said the wings and fettuccine were good though.

Great place to eat. If you are n waupaca you should stop. My family is always on the lakes either fishing, skiing and tubbing, or just to relax.

Not a bad place to eat. Clean and service was decent. We ordered two pizzas and some wings. Food I say was about average. Good mom & pops place to eat. We ended up being sat in a booth near the bar area. With having my family I was not happy because we had to listen to loud guys having a good time. Not exactly family environment.

Ok, it was about time to try the buffet again this past Monday night. Seeing it is now March and the temperature cooled a bit, things inside were much cooler. But not with the crowd. You would have thought it was a summer Monday and all those vacationers were back in town. This night it was a night for the locals and the place was packed at 5pm when they start serving the buffet. Our group sat around at the bar and waited for a table to become available and had a few drinks and great conversation. It took about 45 minutes for the crowd to turn over and we were seated. The pizza was back to its familiar great taste. Pizzas were baked to perfection and had the great thinner crust that I like. The buffet was well supplied with a minimum of 8 pizzas all with different toppings. Glad to see the Wheelhouse is back to normal, which is great.

Being in town for the weekend the Wheel House came recommended to us and it was a great recommendation! Wait staff was quick and helpful and our sandwiches were great! Plus when the bill came it was cheaper than I had guessed in my head!

I usually don't get decent pizza outside of a major city. I didn't expect much as they had a pizza buffet, reminded me of cici's. But I refuse to fight old folks and kids for a slice of pizza, so we ordered 3 pizzas for the table. They were nice and thin, and I was surprised how good the crust was. The place has a ton of WI beer and the only good pizza I have had north of Milwaukee. The best part was that I could actually check my email. The whole area was data signal dead, but I caught up on work while drinking a beer.

Love this place and I find it so awesome that they do not use deep fryers. Their food can have some odd ingredients but it all works together so well! Best food ever and the servers are absolutely wonderful. Clean bathrooms is a plus as well!

Not impressed with the Wheelhouse, the food was good, but certainly not worth the 55 minute wait to get the three sandwiches we ordered. The server told us our orders were being prepared by the same line that was preparing the special that night? So everyone who ordered a sandwich was waiting an hour?? If that is true, you need to fire your kitchen staff. Icing on the cake was when our server brought out one of our orders...took drink orders from two other tables and brought the other food for our group ten minutes later. Never again, there are not a lot of dining options in this area, but I wouldn't recommend this place. If you go, hope you're not hungry.

Cheese Pizza. Salad w/ Creamy Garlic Dressing. Bloody Mary w/ Mudpuppy Porter Chaser (w/ Salad) Spotted Cow Draft (w/ Pizza) You won't be sorry.

Go with the cheese pizza. Cheese pizza in Wisconsin is a no brainer. This is a staple for all family visits to the Chain O Lakes. The nostalgia is as good as the pizza.

If you know the Chain O' Lakes in Waupaca, WI - you know Wheel House. The best pizza around. Thin crust and great flavor. Kids love the plain cheese. Also try the Bomber (sausage sandwich). Atmosphere is the best. Nautical theme. Cool fish tanks stocked with local lake species. Huge outdoor deck with live music. What's not to love?! My family has been going up to Waupaca for more than 40 years and this is a "must do" every time we visit.

Been going to the Wheelhouse since I was 7 yrs old. I'm now 43. My wife and I drive two hrs one way every summer to eat Wheelhouse pizza. Of the hundreds of pizza places I have been to in my life the Wheelhouse has the the best, hands down!! And as others have stated don't forget too visit Scoopers when your done.

For up north their food prices are way overpriced, but their pizza was fantastic and apparently they make almost all their ingredients from scratch.

What a great place to grab some pizza. There is lots of parking. Very fast and friendly service. The place is clean. Pizza tasted great. We also had appetizers of garlic bread with cheese. This was very delicious and came very fast to the table.

My family and I LOVE this place! Fantastic service, awesome (and super fast) bartenders, and a laid back atmosphere. Pizza is usually our first choice, but the sandwiches are great, also. Personal favorites of ours include the Jeff's Loaded Special pizza, the Bomber sandwich, and the rare roast beef sandwich. Great place to have a great bite to eat and connect with friends and loved ones.

The Wheelhouse has really taken their game to the next level the past few years. Great burgers, pizza, fish, and the most awesome chef salad. Recommend Jeff's loaded pizza. Service is usually great, and the staff really hustles. Very affordable and gets busy on weekends. And, don't forget to a stop to Scoopers afterward.

Great pizza, sandwiches, and the best blue cheese salad dressing in the world! The atmosphere is fun, especially when local bands are playing there. I love the outdoor seating that is built to look like you're sitting inside of a boat, and the view of the lake is really nice!

Best food in town, maybe even the state! Excellent pizza, burgers, wings, and sandwiches. Pizza is a thin crust and light in sauce but I will promise you it's the best pizza you'll have! Burgers have great flavor, not just a patty tossed on a bun. The burgers are thick and juicy and available with a variety of toppings (olives, mushrooms, fried onions, cheeses, etc.) A must have on any visit are the wings! Although you may be disappointed not to find traditional hot or BBQ wings, these wings are baked (not fried) and boasting with flavor. Served with blue cheese and hot sauce on the side. The Wheelhouse also offers a variety of sandwiches and mouthwatering specials. I don't think you can go wrong with any of the sandwiches but a few of my favorite are the Bomber (Italian sausage cut in half down the middle smothered in mozzarella), the french dip, and the tuna melt (BEST tuna melt I have ever had!). In addition the the sandwiches, there are also a half a dozen pasta dishes worth trying if you have the time! I would highly recommend visiting the Wheelhouse on your visit to Waupaca. The Wheelhouse offers both inside and outside seating overlooking LimKiln Lake on the Chain O Lakes during the summer months. Boat parking is available at the Waupaca County Park next to the Channel between Columbia and LimKiln Lake. Don't forget to stop at Scoopers for ice cream during the summer! The Wheelhouse is also accessible by snowmobile during the winter months.
