A couple of buddies and I decided to go to the Red Rooster during our lunch breaks. Our dining experience was sub-par to say the least. We sat on the patio and were met by our server 10 minutes later. We ordered our drinks and received them another ten minutes later. Once the server took our order she was nowhere to be found. Other tables were coming and going, and the people that arrived after us were getting their meals before us. An hour passed by before we asked a hostess where our server was. Five minutes later our server came out and we asked what was taking so long for our burgers to be cooked. She went inside to find out. She came back five minutes later to announce that she had forgotten to put our order in (it was understandable, the workload of having 3 tables must be exhausting). She passively asked if their was anything she could do for us, one of us left, and the remaining three just requested to get fed asap. Twenty minutes later our burgers were ready. They weren't bad but weren't anything special. In the end, we spent one hour and forty minutes at Andreas Red Rooster just to grab a quick bite during lunch break on a friday. The service was beyond incompetent and the food was mediocre. When the bill came I was curious to see if the burgers would be, "on the house," as an attempt for them to save face. The burgers were full price, but she did generously take my lemonade off the bill, and offered me a free drink token from the bar (which I declined). After asking around, I have only heard about negative dining experiences at the Red Rooster. I will never go back.

Andreas is fantastic, she couldn't be nicer. The calif chicken pizza is a little hard to eat but she wasn't very nice and accommodating.

The food was good. I had a burger and it was cooked to my liking. I'm interested in tasting other menu options so I will be back.

A few friends and I decided to try a place that was new to us for a fish fry on a Friday night. Andrea's popped up on google so we gave it a shot. Upon first glance we were skeptical of the restaurant purely based off of appearances. When we went in it was busy but not overwhelming. We sat at a table in the bar area and all had drinks and the fish fry. The food was fine and the service was satisfactory. There was nothing particularly special about the restaurant besides the free popcorn they served (I'm a sucker for that kind of stuff). All in all it was fine but I probably won't be back.

Nice mid-west atmosphere, we live less than a mile from the restaurant and today, after moving in 3 months ago finally went there. I can see whay the car park is always full at meal times, a great place to relax and eat comfort food. Great food, very well cooked with fresh ingrediants. You will not be disapointed, we weren't.

OK so it's been a while since my first review that only gave it 2 stars and I have to say the RR has vastly improved since my last review. Let's start with the burgers. I've order the Red Rooster burger and it's both very tasty and massive. A good size beef patty top with bacon (no longer done so it's crunchy), lettuce, pepper jack cheese and piled high with onion strings. Very tasty! FISH FRY: The beer battered fish fry is back! HOORAY!!! Tasty, crunchy. Probably one of the best fish fry in the area....EXCELLENT!

Stopped here to introduce the Rooster to a friend. I have not been here in a while, only because I am now medically retired and don't work nearby anymore. He had an awesome burger, as did I. His comments included wow, great burger and it did not fall apart towards the end as so many others will! I had the Southwest Quesadilla Burger. Very unique and equally delish! An awesome twist. I would add Southwest dipping sauce to the plate to complete it. The Bartender was cute and fun. Place was very clean! Thanks for a great experience!!

My experience was awful. I walker into the restaurant around 2:30 pm. I waited to be seated as the sign requested. I stood there for about 3 minutes before I saw another person. I should have left. A gentleman looked at me and walked by. No smile or acknowledgment was offered. He returned and stood almost across the restaurant and asked me what I needed. I told that I'd like to eat. I guess I was too committed at this point to leave. I sat down at a table and the bartender came over about 30 seconds later. I ordered. About 15 minutes after ordering the waitress told me that my flat bread was made, but didn't have avocado, which "was a big part of the dish" and she wanted to know if I still wanted it. I said just being it out. No surprise.. It was gross. I ate half of it and paid for it. I should have left right away. I won't go back for any reason. I'll just grab a bag of chips from the PDQ next time I'm tempted to waste $13 on absolute garbage. I guess the soda was standard. That's a bonus, I guess.

Kind of a mixed bag. I was mostly satisfied, my brother wasn't real happy with his fish fry. I had the buffalo chicken wrap and seasoned waffle fries, both were really good. The iced tea wasn't the greatest, and our mozzarella in a won ton wrapper was OK, but the marinara sauce was about as bland as it could be. Brother got one good piece of fish and one not so good. He thought the potato pancakes should be thinner, maybe that would make them crisper. Service was excellent, but they have a "Please wait to be seated" sign on the door as you come in. Problem: They're currently hanging a Christmas wreath over it so it's not visible until you leave. Oops. Bottom line-- I would go back.

My wife and I recently settled in the area and were looking for good local food joints. We read all the reviews and felt the Rooster was worth a shot. We were not disappointed. It turned out to be a great place to watch the Badger game and have a delightful lunch. My wife had the prime rib sandwich and I had the club sandwich. My wife selected a side of haystack onion strings and I selected the coleslaw. The bread on both sandwiches was very fresh. The prime rib was a good inch thick, juicy, medium rare, and delectable. The au jus was well seasoned and warm. The ham, turkey, and bacon was also moist, flavorful, and piled respectfully high. Both of us took a half sandwich home. Eating my second half reminded me to write this review....mmmmm...good. The haystack onion strings were crisp and tasty. The coleslaw was some of the best I've had. I'm usually a fan of heavy mayonnaise based coleslaw like KFC or Popeye's. I don't usually care for the vinegar based sauces...too dry. I am really not certain what the base was for the coleslaw and the waitress didn't know either. I wish I knew if I could buy some as it was terrific. I only had one complaint premised on the fact I support Miller products and not Budweiser products. My crisp and cold Miller Light tap beer was served to me in a Budweiser labeled glass, I had to turn the glass sideways in order to cover the logos with my hand...that was a great beer. The ambiance, the service, and the fare made me feel I got my money's worth. If I had my camera I would have taken a picture of me and the Rooster in the parking lot.

The Chipotle Jack burger was great and exactly what I would look for when craving a good burger. Service was quick and pleasant!

They gave me a bloody mary with a very spoiled olive..ruined the drink and they didn't apologize. Also staff and those sitting at the bar gave us the fisheye and made us feel unwelcome.

Had lunch here today with a business associate. We were glad that they asked how we wanted out burgers "done", because there's nothing worse than a dried-out, over-cooked burger. Both burgers were served exactly as ordered and we enjoyed the food, atmosphere and service very much. That said, we'll be back soon!

After having many great experiences in the past...I have to say that our most recent visit was a let down. Mt friend and I had the prime rib special for $19.99 and it was simply awful. The service was mediocre and the food was terrible. The prime rib was obviously incorrectly prepared and likened of shoe leather (I suspect that it was microwaved). The baked potatoes were reheated, the "au jus" was tasteless seemed to be composed of watery beef fat; I couldn't even choke any of my meal down. This visit was pretty much a huge waste of time & money. I am so turned off by the meal we had, that I do not know if we will be back. We have gone there for yrs and normally had great soups, sandwiches & appetizers. I will note also that it used to be a cute/quaint place and it's looking a bit shabby. The table covers were extremely worn. The formerly cute cafe is starting to look more like a truck stop diner. In an upscale market, with ample pricing..i think it might be time to make a few necessary updates.

This place is Mid western cool! Being from the west, I only see cool places like this that often. You have your regulars at the bar and then you have the families in the front and then you have the guys like me eating a great burger (Rooster Burger). Started with the Haystack onion rings. And the beer was ice cold! Service was really good and if I lived here, this would be my place!

Not very good service or portions. We went there for a typical Wisconsin Fish Fry. It was not all you can eat, and the portions were not very large, pretty small actually. I normally can't eat everything that comes on my plate, but i could at this place and for the price it was not worth it. They did have a nice patio area for drinks in the summer, but I definitely would not eat there again.

The tap beer was good and cold and my date said the "girly drinks" were good. The food is OK, I had a stuffed burger that was good. She had a French Dip. The left over fries were good enough to take home. The next day after I reheated my fries I found a WHOLE HAIRNET. This kinda spoiled future visits for me. If they can overlook a HAIRNET what else is going on in the kitchen?

Service was fine, food was good. Husband got the fish fry, I don't even like fish (most of the time) but I thought it was good! I got the prime rib sandwich and sweet potato fries, yum! Can't wait to go back.
