still love this place! We travel home to the Northland several times a year and this is on our must do list. Great service, great food, and free wi-fi. This last visit we tried the kids menu and were really pleased. For $3.50 we got basic chicken tenders and fresh cut fries. Nice portion size for the price!

Good burger joint in the Twin Ports. Skip the fries and go with the free kettle chips. Recommended for fans of deep fried cheese and Man vs. Food type challenges.

Some of the best burgers in the twin ports. Many different types that are always awesome. Small bar area but they recently renovated the dining room area to be much bigger and that's nice.

Greasy but good. If you are into monster burgers, this is the place for you. Wouldn't go out of my way to get their burgers. Service a bit slow but OK.

Just off the highway in Superior this restaurant is a nice surprise. The place itself was clean and lots of TVs to watch. I had the Gronk Burger with fries. The burger was amazing and the fresh cut fries came out lava hot. The food was great and I will come back here to give them the full 5 stars but the staff is going to have to pick it up. If you're looking for a place where the staff is incredibly nice and engaging, this isn't the place. They seemed very very scattered and very very unorganized. After waiting for about 5 min to be welcomed at the bar and watch 4 of the staff hustle around like it was the busiest Saturday night ever, I was finally asked "what can I get you". The beer is cold and the food was fresh and hot.

In this typical restaurant you will eat really good burgers. I ate one of the best burger in my life in the restaurant. The atmosphere of the place and the decoration are definitly attractive features. If you are stopping to Superior, you should definitly stop and eat at this nice place.

Good food, great environment, killer staff, and awesome daily specials. You can pretty much hit this place up any day of the week, order only that daily special, and leave having had a good experience and a low priced meal. You can't beat that!

Great food! Great atmosphere! If bread or buns is too much, be sure to ask for a wrap. Beer on tap is super cold, as it should be. Extremely accommodating! We'll be back!

Cool atmosphere! Stopped in on a road trip to Bayfield, WI. Great prices great service! We got wings, a burger and chili cheese dog. Wings not so good. They had no flavor or heat and were overcooked. Burger was good but overcooked. I'm thinking that is just how that particular cook does things but I wouldn't hold it against the place. One of the best chili cheese dogs we have had. Great chili on top. They use fresh bakery buns, fresh meat and good ol fashion WI cheese.

Good atmosphere, good food, and kid friendly. I've driven by over a hundred times and never stopped, and tonight I was glad I did. An extensive menu with a beer list longer than most places, a very relaxed and informal atmosphere, and quick friendly service, It's worth the stop!

Service was friendly and efficient. Burgers were cooked admirably but greasy as hell and not much flavor. Needed a lot of seasoning. Tried it once and will probably avoid in the future.

I came up to Superior to visit family and we went to Gronks and I thought their burgers were wonderful. I can't quite remember the name of the burger that I had but it had a piece of provolone cheese that was battered and deep fried on it and WOW was it good!! The burger was huge, juicy, and had tons of flavor. The fries could use something though. They were not very good. The customer service was great and the atmosphere was warm and comfortable. The prices are very reasonable, too.

After hearing the debate about best Twin Port's burgers my wife and I finally made the extra couple of mile trip out to Gronk's to try their burgers. Well, it was worth the gas, that's for sure. I had the Barnyard Burger (topped with a fried egg, my favorite) and my wife had the Bacon Beer Cheese burger. Both were exceptional (and my wife is determined to figure out their beer and cream cheese combo recipe) and the fresh cut fries were pretty damn tasty as well. Perfect amount of beef to extras, cooked perfectly done but still juicy, and an excellent bun to hold it all together without falling apart. Very friendly staff needs a mention, too. Now, was it better than Anchor Bar? I'd have to say yes. I'd still vote the Anchor best cheap good eats (and drinks) but the all-out burger contest goes to Gronk's.

Gronk's is my favorite establishment in Superior, and aside from the Super 8 Motel, the most frequented. The food is top-notch bar food, better than most, and while the beer selection is basically all Leinie's there's always at least one tap that I like. I find myself in the Twin Ports very, very often for work, and usually I'm hitting town later in the evening and bone-tired. It's a five and a half hour drive from Madison to Superior, taking into account the necessary stop at the Coffee Grounds in Lake Hallie, so usually by the time I pull into the trusty old Super 8 I'm not in the mood to go too far. However, it took me at least two years to figure out that across the parking lot from my hotel was Gronk's - I used to always drive down to the Subway (and memorably, once to Kosta's Gyros). Once I did realize that there was a excellent option within walking distance I haven't found a reason to patronize anywhere else. I've mostly been to Gronk's on weeknights - work trips after all - with a couple of Sunday nights thrown in as well. The bar has never been overly crowded when I've been there, though once every barstool was occupied leading me to pause momentarily. I've always sat at the bar, and while there's tables and even a non-smoking dinner section I'll admit not knowing how to proceed. Luckily there's another section of bar where I could sit down and still see the TV. I've worked my way through most of the darker Leinie's varieties, and I have tried a few that I didn't find to be too bad. I've never been a big fan of the brand, and I can taste SAB-Miller's presence, but I can't say I didn't enjoy the beers I've had here. The food is the real reason that I keep coming back, however. I really like the menu here, though I haven't managed to try many different options. My go-to is always the chicken fajita, which isn't so much a fajita as it is a chicken gyro with fajita ingredients. It's served in a soft pita with a side of salsa. Coupled with an 1888 bock or three, it makes for a pretty good night. The waitstaff are friendly and fast, and the best part is I can walk back to the hotel.

My wife and I travel to Superior alot. We used to try to make it to Gronks whenever we were in town. After our latest trip there, I'm sad to say that we will NEVER GO THERE AGAIN!!! We went to Gronk's last Monday for dinner & left after waiting over 1 1/2 hours to get our food. When it finally came after asking where it was, the food for our table started coming out. Some of our orders were COLD!! When our friend told the wait staff, we received attitude right away! Then our friend tried to talk to the owners and the results were the same. Finally the owners explained that the new renovations had caused problems for them, and that some people didn't mind & some people had a problem with that. With that said He then told us that if we had a problem, then so be it and maybe next time they could do better. I then told him that he had a "great" attitude, so, there would not be a next time. His next words were "Get the F**K out". So we left, never to return again!! Goodbye Gronk's wish you much success with your new business plan!!!
