Having recently moved to the Duluth/Superior area, I was in search of some good asian eats to get me through another sub-zero night. The Golden Inn is a little spot on the superior side of the bay and it is nice and simple. I ordered the Golden Inn Fried Rice, Chicken with Cashews and Sweet & Sour Shrimp. The latter to were okay (basic midwest asian), but the fried rice rocked. It was loaded with yummy goodness and it wasn't too greasy. I will say that the Golden Inn's portions were fairly big and their prices were really reasonable.

This was probably my favorite Chinese restaurant in the twin ports. Some places I liked the food better, but the prices where higher. Here you get good tasting cheap food. It was great for a college kid who wanted to go out but not spend a lot. Another plus is the amount of food you get here. They really heave it on and its all good. I definitely recommend this place and try to visit it every time I am up to visit.

This place has some great food. I've tried many of the Chinese restaurants around Duluth and Superior, but this is probably the best one. My wife and I had the General Tso's chicken, which was delicious. They made it just the way it should be and with very big portions. The staff was friendly. The restaurant was nice and clean and the giant mirror on the ceiling is really cool. I highly recommend this place if you want some good Chinese food.

Hey, their food used to be good. But wait... maybe its only because they reserve the crap food for deliveries (and forget the fried rice). The one star was just earned by them tonight after refusing to deliver to us. They have delivered here before and I have NEVER had a place tell me "Sorry, we are too busy to deliver to you". The last time they were super busy, they charged $5 for delivery... which I understand - however, that fee changes apparently according to how busy they are. Funny, I just ordered from a place that is just as popular and busy and is located FURTHER away than Golden Inn. Same type of business. No complaints from them! Who gets the tip, who gets my money? GOOD SERVICE! Golden Inn lost a good customer tonight.

Are you hungry? Great place to get your fill of flavorful fried rice, spicy protein's and veggies. Customize the degree of spiciness and enjoy your quickly served meal. Customer service is always excellent, and the price can't be beat. You'll need a container for leftovers that will last for a couple meals. My whole family likes the food, which doesn't happen often.

Of all of the styles of restaraunts, Chinese places are the hardest for me to distinguish. Golden Inn is the one that I would always recommend for anyone new to the Twin Ports area. And looking around online, it seems like the majority of people in the area would agree. Recommended for fans of great fried rice and seagull.

Ok so I just ate here and I was skeptical since it is an Asian restaurant and Im from Chicago. Gotta tell u that I was PLEASANTLY surprised. The dish (Happy Family) I had was absolutely delicious. As I mentioned before, I live in Chicago, where we have an authentic Chinatown that I frequent and this food was just as good. The waitress was great too. Very attentive and friendly. I would DEF return if Im here on buz again. Enjoy!

We ate at Golden Inn last night, and it was some of the best Chinese food I've ever had. I have been on a quest to find the perfect fried rice ever since Sheridan Wok closed in Chicago a few years ago. Finally I have found it! Golden Inn's fried rice is the best! There were 6 of us that ate here, so I got to try a lot of the food. Everything was great! I had the chicken with broccoli, fried rice, and egg roll which was fantastic! One of my friends had the lemon chicken, which was also awesome! Chicken subgum was good and the orange chicken was good. Oddly enough, they had cheese curds on the menu as an appetizer so we ordered those too. Those were great as well! If you are going with people who don't enjoy Chinese food, they also have a fairly extensive American menu as well. It has everything from hamburgers to salads to steak sandwiches, pork chops, several types of fish, and baked potatoes as well as a bunch of other stuff I can't remember. There was an entire page of American food. The server was super nice. She made several recommendations. Our food arrived quickly. Oh, and I almost forgot to mention the tea. The tea was great! Normally, tea is tea, right? This tea was super good. We drank 3 pots of it! The restaurant was clean and nice. On the ceiling is this beautiful artwork painted on a mirror. The restroom was clean, too. We will definitely eat here often when we are here. I highly recommend it!

Friendly staff. Food is usually a bit overcooked, under-seasoned, and pretty much lacking in any robust flavor. And, while the portion sizes many be a "great value", as earlier reviewers have stated, prices are a little inflated for a meal that comes up a bit short. I have dined in several times and ordered carry out as well. There are better options in the Twin Ports to take advantage of.

Had the Hunan tofu with veggies dish, spiced medium. Delicious & huge portion that I got 2 more subsequent meals out of. And it cost only about $7.50, hot tea included. Super clean, attractive aquarium & restroom too.

We stopped in and had lunch, this place was right next to the highway. Our meal for two came out to be $20. As stated in previous reviews, the portion sizes were very generous. In addition, the service was fast and friendly. We were thanked by the host and the waitress for stopping in. The food was good but not excellent. We'll return if in the area again.

Large portions, avg cost of meal 9$, free app (wing, egg roll, or chream cheese wanton). Best Chinese in the Duluth/Superior area. Very clean, great service and fast. I could taste the freshness of the ingredients. The pork fried rice is excellent.

Usually very good, very hot food. Fresh and good quality. Very reasonable prices. I order mine without MSG. A few days ago we had lunch for 2 with added veggie roll order for under $16! Worth the trip to supe town.

Chinese Cuisine

The popularity of Chinese food in America can be adjudicated by the appearance of China Town in many major cities in the United State of America. The popular trend of ordering or opting for Chinese take away food isn't unknown in America. Chinese take away food comes to rescue when you're too tired from work or too exhausted to cook. No one can resist the temptation of eating spicy noodles, shrimp, chicken, beef or pork cooked in the sweet and spicy sauce. The cooking method of authentic Chinese food is a lot different compared to what is served in America.

Generally, Chinese use dark meat small bones and organs to cook dishes but this changes when you are eating American-Chinese fusion food prepared using white boneless meat cooked with broccoli, carrots and onions. Back in China, the food is less spicy and oily as they favor steaming and braising method for cooking the most popular dishes. So, if you have a taste for authentic Chinese food, then try finding a real Chinese restaurant in the city. You can also try the most popular fusion Chinese food like Pecking Duck, Chicken Feet, Hot Pot, Shrimp Dumpling Soup, Mapo Tofu, Wontons, Chop Suey, Egg Rolls and not to forget Fortune Cookies.

There are not many restaurants in America serving authentic Chinese food. A little research on Restaurant Listings directory can help you locate the best Chinese restaurants in the city. Chinese cuisine is continuously evolving, and you can find a variety of dishes categorized as the food for lactose intolerant, gluten intolerant, vegan, vegetarian, and diabetic friendly. So, if you have a group of friends with different taste patterns, save the hassle and visit the nearest Chinese restaurant in your city.
