I came back for some take out to bring to my grandma- it's her favorite place in town! I didn't really get it until this visit, the food was great! I decided to try the buffalo chicken wrap, my brother ordered the avocado chicken burrito and my grandmas go to is the fish taco. We also got the delicious chips and guac to share. We were there at dinner time on Saturday and the food was made pretty fast, it was only moderately busy. My wrap was really good with the right amount of spicy buffalo sauce and blue cheese dressing. I like that the wrap was put on the grill to make it hot and crispy. My brothers burrito looked just like my wrap and looked just as tasty and grandma was happy with her fish taco. I'll definitely stop back again.

The staff was kind and the food came quickly, but it was served on a paper plate with a plastic fork. That is just odd for a restaurant. Very expensive for what you get. I got beans and rice- a really simple order. It tasted the same as any canned refried beans. Nothing special at all. My boyfriend got a chicken burrito of some sort. He said it was good, but for over $9, all it came with was the burrito. No side of rice or beans like a traditional Mexican restaurant would have.

We were going to head into subway which is adjoining but stopped and looked at the menue for Enrique's. It looked good with lots of options so we decided to try something new. First off you can tell the owner LOVES and takes pride in what she does and only wants to serve people the best. Her meat is all fresh from the local butcher. She is very accommodating if you are on a special diet. The stuffed cheese and mushroom burger was hands down the best burger I have ever eaten. My friend had the same and agreed. They give you a basket of home made chips which again are the best we have ever had. Our daughters thuroughly enjoyed their food as well. Amazing food, good prices, wonderful service.

Happened upon this place when we arrived in Prescott to kick off a drive down the Mississippi River road. We were headed for subway and found this tucked away behind it. We had the combo with the chicken chili soup and both hard shell and soft shell tacos. Food was very good and we enjoyed the homemade tortilla chips. The staff were very friendly! Would definitely go back if we're in the vicinity.

Sadly, wasn't impressed by this little taco shop I've passed by so many times. Maybe it was an off day like another reviewer experienced. The tortilla chips were greasy with that funny deep fried after taste that comes from the oil not being hot enough. The homemade salsa had a mealy blah taste & consistency that comes from less than ripe tomatoes. One order of the Crispy Chicken Taco and the Shredded Beef Taco later, which there's enough filling for the two 6" soft corn tortillas that were served with each....we decided while the shredded beef was tender & flavorful, it was reminiscent of mom's Sunday pot roast. The breaded and fried chicken went well with the lovely crema served with our second choice.

Absolutely love their tacos. (The homemade hardshell tortillas are to die for) Go there Tuesdays for their cheap taco deal. Also have different types of burgers that I've heard are amazing, as well as wraps, burritos, soup and eggrolls. Overall very good food, but because it is a smaller family business- they don't have the largest staff so service can be slow at times.

Hope it was just a off day the last time I stopped in the food was not that good the taco meat was all greasy and lacked flavor not as I remember it from the previous visits it had been real good so instead of a 1 star for that last visit I'll go 3 star for over all !

We ended a wonderful ride on the upper Mississippi River at Enrique's Taco House. The food was surprisingly authentic and Sunday's six-pack of tacos was extremely economical. Service was exceptional in a quaint, small town way. The hot salsa is homemade and incredible. As we often end motorcycle rides in Prescott, WI this is a place that will be frequented.

Mexican Cuisine

If you enjoy Taco Tuesday, then you have officially fallen in love with the Mexican Food. The main grain of Mexican cuisine is maize. Also known as corn, maize is grown for the past 9000 years after the crop was discovered by the people in Mayan civilization. Mexican empire flourished when they started growing beans, tomatoes, chili pepper, sweet potato and cactus. Till this date these ingredients are used in cooking authentic Mexican dishes and drinks.

Great use of spices, fresh chili pepper dishes like fajitas, tortilla chips, corn chips, salsa, chimichangas, burritos, nachos and quesadillas are invented in America. But when you are looking for authentic Mexican food then you must find a restaurant in the city that serves Rajas con Queso, Garbanzo in a Guajillo Chile Sauce, Pork Filled Chiles Rellenos, Chiles en Nogada, Molcajete Salsa, Pico de Gallo and Frijoles de la Olla. An eye-opening fact – Mexican don't like their food hot. They use fresh chili and other spices to create a flavor that lingers in your mouth.

Mexican food is great for those who are Gluten Intolerant as they use Corn instead of wheat in most of their dishes. Also, you can easily find many beans based Mexican dishes. Another dish which didn't get similar glory as tacos or nachos is the Mexican hot chocolate. If you love something hot on a chilly day, then go for Mexican Hot Chocolate. On merry days, you can enjoy the authentic Mexican Drinks like Tequila, Mezcal, Tecuí, Sotol, Bacanora, Charanda, Posh O Pox, Puebla and Pulque. Mexican Cuisine is for people who enjoy strong drinks and hearty meals.
