It's a close place to get OK Mexican food. I love the chips and salsa, and they are generous with both! The Margaritas are HUGE! You can get them blended or traditional. They are not too vegetarian friendly. They put re-fried beans in my burrito. The menu said beans, so I didn't think to ask if they were re-fried. But they do have black beans available. The hostess was welcoming, and the buser was super friendly. The server was not as friendly as she could have been. When I asked for suggestions on the menu, there really wasn't anything she seems to really like.

After discovering their sister restaurant in Hartford, my family and I decided to check-out this location. The food... meh. Nothing exceptional and nothing to set it apart from the competition. It lacked a fresh flair and a genuine welcome. I gotta say a complaint. Clean the menus. Who doesn't get turned off by dried salsa on a laminated menu. Yuck! Nothing exceptional for this joint that shares space with a Pick 'N Save. Suggestions to the staff- have some fun! Get to know your patrons. Entice me with your menu. If you don't then there's no reason to come back. Oh, and clean those menus!

I used to be a big fan of Casa Tequila, but lately it has been mediocre. I used to go there with my parents religiously for the Taco Tuesdays special, as well as any other family special occasions. Then they changed the rules on taco Tuesday's, where you now have to buy an alcoholic drink to get the specials....that to me is ridiculous. My husband can't have any alcohol, and I don't drink 90% of the time, so now you are making me buy a drink?? Their customer service and portions have also gone down hill now. It used to be a 5 star for me, but now it's just a mehhh place to be!!! There are many other better places in the area.

The food is decent but the service is exceptional. I've eaten here several times and have never had a bad server. I really enjoy $5 Bloody Mary's on Sunday's. I also appreciate the free bottomless chips and salsa. I would absolutely come back again.

The ground beef in the taco was bland and excessively greasy. My hand was covered as it leaked out the side I was holding. The Chorizo Cheese Dip was sorely lacking on cheese and the potatoes were rock hard, almost like biting into an uncooked potato. It's a good thing I had a Groupon for this meal otherwise I'd be pissed, rather than just annoyed, that I paid for such underwelming food. Needless to say I won't go back.

I normally receive top quality food when ordering carryout from the good folks at Casa Tequila, but for some reason their steak taco dinner left a lot to be desired. The steak was tough and not very moist, maybe they should look at a better cut of meat or another tenderizing technique.

First time here. We were seated outside. Service very slow. Food very avg. disappointed as we expected more based on what others told us.

I love this place for Mexican! And they are open late, they serve food til 11pm during the week. I stopped in late on a Thursday and had a combo platter with Two Tacos and a Chimichango with rice. It included beans, but I just had the rice. The food was very food! Some of the best Mexica I have had. The drinks are great too! A "Medium" is like the biggest drink I have ever seen! I cant even imagine what large would be! Overall, this was a great mexican dining experience and I will def be back!

The food is good, not anything exceptional. Good Mexican food. The place appears clean. Server was not overly friendly, buy good. The food was a little slow getting out to the table, but not too bad. I would recommend this place. Good eats.

Okay, I agree there isn't anything exceptional to set it apart from the competition, but given the options for Mexican in Pewaukee, this may be one of the best north of 94. I had the taco dinner, which I thought was a good amount of food for a decent price. I tried both the chicken and ground beef tacos and would order them again! Since others have posted about it, I will comment that the menu I received was clean and the waitress we had was really nice and fun. She was quick to serve us, but did not rush us when we decided to linger for another drink post-meal. And even though it is next to a grocery store, the inside is decorated nicely. The location is convenient if you're running errands and want to grab lunch. Note they have weeknight specials.. $1 taco Tuesday's and then Thurs is BOGO Mojitos. There are more, but that is all I remember. I'll be back for another special!

Had a great experience. Good food, clean surroundings and the service was great. A great place to go for Mexican.

Not impressed at all, chicken chimichanga was flavorless, the ground beef tostada was so greasy it was running down my fingers, rice lacked flavor, beans had a funny taste. Service was OK however her knowledge of ingredients was answered with "I think".

Great food every time. Always fresh & perfectly balanced margaritas that have plenty of tequila. Tonight had the pollo pablano (chicken breast stuffed with ricotta & spinach covered with a creamy pablano pepper sauce) served with grilled veggies & a potato Pancake. So delicious I couldn't stop eating long enough to snap a picture. Husband loves their chicken fajitas. 9 year old orders vegetarian rellenos every time with a huge taco. Only negative would be location is in a strip mall so patio seating is overlooking a busy parking lot. Otherwise love this place!

Excellent food with service just as good. I've also been to the location in the Town of Hartford and it was equally as good.

We've been there 3 times now and each time it's just ok. Nothing amazing, food is a little bland, drinks are a little watery. It's not where I would go for amazing Mexican.

Great local Mexican place. It is in a strip mall so you have to look for it , but it. Is well worth it. We always have a pitcher of margaritas , no good Mexican dinner is right without them! The menu has all of the Mexican standards so they have pretty much have something for everyone. Service is prompt and friendly. And they have my favorite -fried ice cream!! I want to say they have a kids special but I'm not sure as we have never taken advantage of that. Definitely worth a trip out to pewaukee to come here.

I've been here over a dozen times and if you would have asked me a year ago I would have given it 5 stars. The service is always very good, so are the drinks and table side guacamole but the entrees have really gone down hill. Almost no flavor, very little meat or chicken an the mild salsa tastes like thick ketchup. I don't know if they got a new chef or they just decided to cut corners? I live 2 blocks away so I really wanted it to stay as good as it used to be. I recommend if you sit at the bar on Tuesday you can get a good taco for $1, table side guacamole, and a margarita for an excellent value otherwise don't waste your money on an entree.

Pretty good lunch menu and all the lunch prices include a beverage (non-alcoholic). I usually have the burrito suizo at lunch for ~$8 (with drink). And the burrito is huge. I generally ask for extra chicken and half the time they throw it in for free. Plus you always get the chips and salsa for free even at lunch when you're dining alone. Good deal.

Just ate here and it was outstanding. Great service, ample portions, fresh delicious guacamole, and good prices. Best margarita I've had in years. We'll be back!

OK...so I eat here...like once a week. Sometimes more. I drink here. I'm a lightweight, so one drink goes a LONG way. I love the margaritas. Just enough sweetness to go down easy. Strong enough to give you a wicked headache if you drink too much. If you weigh less than 120 pounds, don't go larger than the medium size. You will pass out. Wednesday nights are BOGO margaritas, so all my co-workers head there after the office closes. I admit, I haven't tried all the food there. I like the specialty items on the menu. Carne asada a la mexicana, tapequiena (sp?). But, once I tried the camarones a la diabla, I was HOOKED. I have not tried anything else there for the last year. The chicken enchiladas are great if you want something simple. I did not care for the fajitas. They were cooked in a sauce that had a smoky BBQ flavor. The wait staff is fantastic. My 3 year old spilled an entire cup of soda and the bus boy was there in a flash to help clean it up. The waiter brought us a new soda almost immediately. The place is PACKED between 6pm and 7pm on Friday and Saturday nights, so don't expect to be seated right away. I hear that kids eat free on Sundays, but I have not confirmed it. I'd take family and friends there any day. Anyone else wanna come??

Love this place. My go to when in a rush. Always seated right away, even at lunch. Great service and yummy food! Guac was ok, not the best that I've had. Outdoor seating is nice when available. Like the reasonable lunch menu

I went here Saturday with a friend. You get a decent amount of food for the price and it's tasty! I got a chimichanga dinner, with which you get: 3 chimichangas (I picked chicken), rice and refried beans. I also got a drink and my entire meal cost about &15.00 (not including tip). I had plenty to take home. It was pretty busy, of course it was a Saturday, but we did get seated right away. There appeared to be some room in the bar to sit as well. The service was really good this night as well!

Had the steak fajitas. Not much flavor and was "soupy". Don't recommend those. Service was good.

5 months pregnant and about a quarter of the way through our dinner I suddenly felt ill and asked our waiter for the check in case we needed to leave abruptly. He replied "I cannot give you your check this early in your dining experience". My husband and I thought he was kidding and he replied "no, I will not give you your check. Casa Tequila policy" and he turned and walked away. What started as decent attention to our table turned into delayed service. When he finally did give us our bill, he came and cleared the table 2 times before he even picked up my card. Not an exaggeration to say it was the rudest service I have ever experienced.

Great place for Mexican. Get over the fact it's between Pick N Save and Wal-Mart - the food is good and the place is cute inside. Has a nice little bar area and they advertise a lot of drink specials. Margaritas are yummy and I'm partial to the Burrito Verde. It's a lot of food and a good price!

We went with 14 other people as a birthday dinner. The menu looked appetizing and the atmosphere was what you would expect from a Mexican style restaurant. The food came and was rather luke warm. Cheese was not melted all the way (You can still see the shreds) and the taco did taste like boiled chicken.....that is it. The rest of the meal was ok. The drink selection was really good and from the response i got from our guests, the margaritas were pretty good. We never communicated that we had wanted our bills separated per guests nor did they offer it to us. bad on both our parts...but...the bill came and we asked if we can have it separated. The waitress told us to just pass the bill around and figure out what each party owed and they would take payment from each person. One member stated that some of us were going to pay by credit card but she said that was ok... I did go up to the waitress, out of customers' view of course, and explained to her that regardless of the lack of communication on both our parts this was not the answer. We were not here do a job their POS system was there to do. In the end, she did take the bill back and came back with separate bills. Waitstaff was very attentive and the drinks were good.

Today I in the area so I thought a steak burrito sounded good. The place clean and nice looking with a cool bar on the side. The bar walls were made to look like an old Mexican town kind of thing. The place was kind of empty at 2:45 pm except for the bar which had three groups of people. The bar tender was struggling with two margaritas which were fish bowls on stems. These were big drinks and I don't drink them but I would get one if I went back. It's in a strip mall in a bigger mall but easy to find. Now the food and I ordered the burrito lunch special which comes with rice and beans. The food over all was OK and nothing out standing. The burrito has steak cut to the size of tick tacks which didn't have the chewy texture I wanted. The rice was plain and the beans were nothing exciting. Over all the food was kind of bland and didn't excite my taste buds. Not very authentic tasting with no cilantro or onion in the mix. I like the more authentic taste in Mexican food. The red salsa/sauce was hot or spicy and came in the tiniest plastic cup which lasted two bites. I did get this as carry out and ate it in the parking lot to fit in my lunch break. The food was Luke warm bordering on room temperature. The cermak food store taco/burrito station taste more authentic to me. I would go back for the bar because some of the daily specials looked good with buy one get one free deals.

I am a fan of guacamole made at your table. The food is pretty average, the restaurant pretty loud thanks to multiple TVs and a central bar. The wait staff was quite attentive, but we were there early. Lots of children.

Very good food and excellent service. If I lived in the area, I'd go to Casa Tequila 10-12 times per year. I had a chicken dish that was cooked to perfection. Great prices too. I miss "Midwest Mexican"!

I really wanted to like this place. We even came three times thinking that it was just a bad night. Unfortunately, none of the three times were good. More of a Chi-Chi's type than the authentic mexican flavor. I know not everybody agrees, and everybody has their own taste. But for me, I am still looking for a good mexican place to dine.

Formerly Su Casa III (same ownership just a name change), the menu is better-than-typical Mexican with several seafood dishes. I visit 1-2 times a month because it's easy in and easy out and priced right. Nice pub tables in the bar area with 3 large plasma t.v.s. Drink specials every night with prompt service and large portions. I stopped in on a Monday night and just ordered nachos and a margarita. The nacho portion was great and without asking the waitress brought out another margarita. The bill came and it was less than $10. I questioned why they charged me less than menu prices and she replied that it was 2-for-1 margarita night and since I was alone I should only be charged for a 1/2 order of nachos even though the platter was heaping.

Mexican Cuisine

If you enjoy Taco Tuesday, then you have officially fallen in love with the Mexican Food. The main grain of Mexican cuisine is maize. Also known as corn, maize is grown for the past 9000 years after the crop was discovered by the people in Mayan civilization. Mexican empire flourished when they started growing beans, tomatoes, chili pepper, sweet potato and cactus. Till this date these ingredients are used in cooking authentic Mexican dishes and drinks.

Great use of spices, fresh chili pepper dishes like fajitas, tortilla chips, corn chips, salsa, chimichangas, burritos, nachos and quesadillas are invented in America. But when you are looking for authentic Mexican food then you must find a restaurant in the city that serves Rajas con Queso, Garbanzo in a Guajillo Chile Sauce, Pork Filled Chiles Rellenos, Chiles en Nogada, Molcajete Salsa, Pico de Gallo and Frijoles de la Olla. An eye-opening fact – Mexican don't like their food hot. They use fresh chili and other spices to create a flavor that lingers in your mouth.

Mexican food is great for those who are Gluten Intolerant as they use Corn instead of wheat in most of their dishes. Also, you can easily find many beans based Mexican dishes. Another dish which didn't get similar glory as tacos or nachos is the Mexican hot chocolate. If you love something hot on a chilly day, then go for Mexican Hot Chocolate. On merry days, you can enjoy the authentic Mexican Drinks like Tequila, Mezcal, Tecuí, Sotol, Bacanora, Charanda, Posh O Pox, Puebla and Pulque. Mexican Cuisine is for people who enjoy strong drinks and hearty meals.
