Some of the best food I've had in Oshkosh. I enjoyed my quiche adding on ham. The potato cheese hash side was amazingly tasty. The quiche was chock full of fresh veggies and had no crust which was a surprise but a pleasant one as it was lighter and the potatoes were filling enough. All together a great meal for a great value.

An awesome cafe in Oshkosh. I went for breakfast. They have an excellent variety of coffee drinks, serving Collectivo Coffee. The cornbread pancakes are outstanding, served with a choice of fruit salad. The staff is very friendly and personable. Their lunch menu looked very good as I saw many health conscious items. I definitely recommend Pilora's Cafe. I'll be back any time I visit Oshkosh.

This place is a great little diner. Not a high-end coffee shop, specifically, but their drip brew is made very well and this morning they had a couple roast options on tap. I asked for the lightest roast they had and it was delicious. I also ordered what may be one of the best Tuna Salad sandwiches I've ever had. I was just driving through and am really glad I found this place

Pilora's is a gem of an establishment on Main that is most certainly worth a stop in if you are in the neighborhood. The focus here is on unique creations using fresh and local ingredients in interesting flavor combinations. The interior is your typical bistro style contemporary layout. Most of my visits here have been for breakfast, and all the selections I have tried have been quite tasty. Standouts include the egg and Feta cheese bagel sandwich (nice to grab on your way to work), the scrumptious cornbread pancakes, and my absolute favorite the bread budding! The pudding is essentially like a french toast casserole of sorts, and with a little caramel and pecans over the top, it is amazing! They also feature Collectivo coffee, which those familiar with the Milwaukee area will immediately recognize. It is a little bitter for my taste, but many people adore it. Lunch wise, I have only tried the Salads, which are a tad pricey for what they are, but are not a bad option for a somewhat healthy lunch. The Athens salad with Feta is my personal fav, followed by the Cashew chicken salad, which has a very interesting contrast of flavors with the dressing they use. I would give this place 4.5 stars if Yelp allowed me a half star option, as the food here has always been great and it is far more unique than your typical Wisconsin breakfast joint serving up omelettes with hashbrowns and toast. Not that there is anything wrong with that, as nobody loves greasy spoon joints as much as I do, but originality and unique flavor profiles score big points with me. Lastly, they do offer take away service if you need quantity of certain items if you are needing to take something for an event, pot luck, etc. This is expensive, but it will save you in a pinch if you are lazy and don't feel like preparing something of your own. Just call them a day or two in advance. I took a tray of bread pudding to one of my marathon cram sessions for my graduate degree and I made some friends among classmates in a big hurry.

We had breakfast here this morning and it was awesome. My husband had the beef hash and I had a scrambled egg/tomato/feta cheese thing on a bagel that was delicious ! The service was excellent and it was all reasonably priced. Here for the fly in, highly recommend this place!

Nice place with some unique items on the menu. Had the quiche with ham. Potatoes are delicious and little cheesy.

Stopped in as we drove through town. Good spot for brunch. I was happy to see they have local-ish roasted coffee and good beer and wine on the menu. The vegetarians in our group were able to find some good options. The waitress clued me in to an off-menu item called the breakfast enchilada which was too big for me to finish but delicious. All of the bakery items looked beautiful.

We tried it based on the high rating. It's always nice to try a new to us restaurant. We tried four different menu items and coffee drinks. Everything was fine to good. We wouldn't go out of our way to come back. Seemed pricey for what we got

Stopped here with my brother for lunch on our way from Green Bay to Madison. Wanted something besides the usual fast food Oshkosh options so based on the good Yelp reviews we stopped here. First the GOOD: -coffee (colectivo) was great -cheesy potato side was good. Basically hash browns cooked with cheese. Good stuff -atmosphere was nice, laid-back, warm and welcoming. -service was fine. No complaints. Everyone seemed nice. Some regulars were at a table next to us and our server was chatting with them a lot The Not So Good: Overall the food and soup was just not that good. Brother had the beer cheese soup and a philly sandwich. I had the wild rice veggie soup and the Eden? Chicken sandwich. Everything and we both agreed just was weird and not good. Hate to say it as I dug the atmosphere and coffee but wouldn't recommend this place.

The food was amazing and unique. And they have Alteras coffee which is the best. There breakfast menu is small but it doesn't need to be big.

The French toast was hands down the best I've ever had. My companions all said the same about their meals. Don't miss an opportunity to eat here.

Love the nontraditional breakfast options. Whenever we came into town we made it a thing to come here often. Love the little cafe vibe and the staff is just so sweet!

Beer Cheese Soup....Awesome! Edens Burger was a pleasant combination of flavors, served with kettle chips. Triple Layer Carrot Cake melted in my mouth. First time eating there, and it made me a permanent customer. I felt like I got my money's worth, and I will be returning.

Guys: this is a breakfast review. Great coffee. Cool environment. A touch of SF cafe in Oshkosh, and having lived across the US and currently in Wisconsin, that alone makes it worth the visit. Good food but not exactly guy food. All eggs are scrambled and are prepared well. . But I like over medium with Tabasco. Mm. They offer ham that's fine. But I like bacon. Mm. Cornbread pancakes are tasty especially with the door county cherries. The French toast looked tempting - couldn't afford the calories. The lovely Maureen loved this place, complimented me for an excellent choice. Points. Bottom line: 4 stars for date breakfast oriented to your other. 3 stars if you want guy breakfast and custom orders. Refreshing vibe cafe in Oshkosh - that alone is worth a visit. Great date place for casual meal. Well prepared, not guy, food.

Pleasant wait staff and a menu full of great tastes. Stopping for a quick brunch, we sat on their patio & enjoyed their fresh coffee and unique iced teas as we waited for our food. Grape & pecan, creamy apple and mandarin orange salads came out quickly as small appetizers for our meals. When our meals were brought to us our waitress was very accommodating when she brought extra salsa & hot sauce for our eggs. Needless to say we were all a part of the clean plate club by the end of our meal!

Nice friendly up-scale Wisconsin cafe. Waitresses are nice (and cute!) and the first sip of dark coffee put a big old smile on my face! The food is good, delivered promptly, and the waitresses attentive without being intrusive. Try the pecan French toast! (And 'dark' coffee).

We must have stopped in on a bad day.. I suspect something had gone wrong because a man who appeared to be a manager kept coming out and apologizing to different guests. I feel like it may have been our servers first day because it took an incredibly long time to get any service. We started off with iced coffee and hot chocolate, which took about ten minutes to come out and then waited another ten minutes before being able to place our order. I ordered the Pelora's Bagel which was supposed to come with eggs. After what had to be twenty five minutes of waiting, our food comes out... The server puts a toasted bagel with cream cheese in front of me. No eggs. Just a bagel. Duhhhh. I was so sick of being there and didn't want to have to wait another half hour so I decided to just eat the bagel and move on with my life. My girlfriend ordered some kind of breakfast wrap, which wasn't bad but once again should not have taken so long to arrive. All in all, I left with a half empty stomach and twenty dollars less in my pocket. Also to be noted, the acoustics of the building are awful... With the room only being half full it gets very loud with a cacophony of table talk and clanking noises.

Wait staff and atmosphere are great. Everything you'd expect for a small town diner, however the breakfast was subpar. They only offer scrambled eggs which tells me that they don't have fresh eggs. Also, what breakfast spot doesn't have bacon, sausage, or fresh fruit! I would hope that lunch/dinner is better.

I have come several times to meet friends and enjoy breakfast. Clean, friendly and the coffee is good. Breakfast is above average with tasty add-ons you don't usually find. The atmosphere is good and the staff is friendly. I will return and invite friends! pilorascafe.com

This place was awesome! Great local food and wonderful flavors. We were on our way to a shoot And were about 40 minutes early and decided to stop for breakfast. Got out the YELP app and found Pilora's. Staff was friendly and prompt while not hovering! I ordered the breakfast special which was a breakfast burrito filled with scrambled eggs red and green peppers, onions (which I had them remove) with a choice of ham or turkey. I chose turkey and then covered in a hollandaise sauce and sprinkled chalula hot sauce! Delish! My partner got a simple breakfast of scrambled eggs topped with cheddar, local bakery whole wheat toast, and hash browns that were filled with a secret sauce and a hint of cheddar! He said they were outstanding! Definitely a great place to got for a breakfast! The portions were hearty! When the waitress served us she asked if wage could bring us anything right away and I said a Togo box which I definitely needed! Tasty!

An excellent salad for lunch. The combination of beef, cherries, feta, and horseradish leaves played together quite well. Relaxed atmosphere.

Yummy! Cute little place for breakfast that's a bit more unique than eggs, bacon, and toast. Had the quiche and it was fluffy and piping hot. Their breakfast potatoes are awesome as well!

Great place for breakfast or lunch. The potatoes were very tasty. Coffee mugs were a large and the mild roast coffee was very good. Hollandaise sauce was wonderful. Want to go back and try the Corn Bread Pancakes.

A friend recommended Pilora's so we decided to go there for lunch. The service was slow because the place was packed and there seemed to only be one person working. However, when she did have time to take our order, she was very friendly. My chief complaint is that the menu is very odd. Several things on the menu almost sounded good, but then one or two things would just be weird about it. Red onions on everything; scrambled eggs seemed to be the only way to get eggs; several cans of mandarin oranges topped a salad. I had an egg salad sandwich and it was okay, but kind of runny. The beer cheese soup was tasty but had way too many carrots in it. The coffee was the best thing about Pilora's.

We were looking for a cafe for lunch on the way to a weekend in the Northwoods and found Pilora's on Yelp. Decor was cute, service was very good and the food was tasty. We'll be back next year.

This place was a breath of fresh air when making a trek up to the Northwoods of Wisconsin. Everywhere else we stopped to eat, it just seemed like cheese and fried food. Pilora's menu was really fresh and had healthier options that were still simple and good. I had a mandarin salad (field greens, mandarin oranges.. and I'm not kidding you, like a full can of mandarin oranges, almonds, feta) and the hubby had a different salad, which ended up being identical to mine but with tilapia added I think. I came to realize that the menu ingredients are repeated just in different combinations, so the selection of different foods may be limited, but it was still very good, fresh, and well done, although simple. Would definitely stop back in.

Eclectic! Wonderful food. No, NOT your run of the mill breakfast/lunch, BETTER! Attentive wait staff. Will definitely be going back and taking out of town guests too!

Stopped by for breakfast. Ordered the special of Caramel Macchiato French Toast and an iced chai. The french toast was awesome. Crisp edges and just the right amount of caramel drizzle. Not too sweet. Yummy!

ALTERRA COFFEE --richer than any other coffee shop. EGGS BENEDICT --Where are the English muffins? Actually the toast cut into quarters was grainy-good--but why on the side? Fluffy eggs vs. poached--not bad. Thin-sliced ham vs. Canadian bacon--comforting, to be honest. Not exactly what I expected--but I can't say it was not satisfying. SERVICE --waitresses in Oshkosh, so far, are all friendly & attentive. Getting that less & less in California. ARCHITECTURE --1950s roadside-tacky coffee shop. Unimpressive--but at least the mansard roof ain't fake. Encloses a generous loft ceiling. Embraces the dining room--& a comfy corner reading area.

Was looking for a place for lunch that wasn't the standard fair and found myself at Pilora's. The place was pretty much filled when we got there, but the staff was very accommodating and friendly during our wait (about 10 minutes). Had their steak salad and was happy it wasn't just a generic salad with sliced lunch meat. Everyone else was really happy with their meals as well. We ordered the carrot cake for dessert. Yeah, get the carrot cake if they have it...

Yum. I make it a point to try and stop into Pilora's whenever I'm in town, because their mac & cheese is to die for! It's heavenly! Their sandwiches are good, and the salads as well. It's a small place, but cozy. The food is healthy and hearty and delicious. I recommend it for sure, and plan on returning.

Awesome breakfast! I had the French Toast w/ pecans. The bread was awesome! It was homemade bread. I also ordered the Apple Waldorf salad for the side. I usually don't like that kind of salad, but that was super delicious. Coffee was great. Prices are perfect. My gal got the Veggie Quiche with Cheesy homemade potatoes and some sliced ham on the side. She loved it too! This is owned by the people that own the Chalice. From what I understand it was originally a breakfast place, but they are starting to do dinners now. I'm from Oshkosh originally, but now reside in CA. This restaurant is definitely a gem in this town. GO GO GO!!

I was very pleased to find this nice, little cafe in Oshkosh. They have an interesting and diverse menu selection, Alterra coffee and very nice service. I had the cornbread pancakes and they were absolutely DELICIOUS! I will definitely make an effort to go back for lunch or dinner when I am back in town to try out their non-breakfast options. Note: They are only open in the evenings Wed-Fri.

I ordered Eggs and Toast with turkey. The taste was fantastic. The toast was just awesome! The best breakfast I had in years. The eggs, and turkey was deliciously prepared. They are not the same eggs and turkey from chain restaurants. Service was nice and friendly. I walked out that place feeling happy and satisfied. It's amazing what good food can do to you. It made my trip from California to Oshkosh, WI all worthwhile.

Pilora's stands out for friendly service and good food, with great vegetarian options (which is definitely not a given in Oshkosh!). Their seasonal pumpkin cheesecake is phenomenal, and I love that they serve Alterra coffee. I find myself often ordering breakfast food for lunch, which isn't really a bad thing. (Though, if I recall correctly, all their salads are non-vegetarian, which is...odd.) Overall, it's one of my favorite places in Oshkosh, and one I'm always happy to take out-of-town guests.

I went here for lunch and got the Talapia special with a half mandarin orange salad. The dishes were served with fresh fruits and veggies. The prices were good, and the staff friendly.

A great place to meet a friend for lunch and uninterrupted conversation. Love their cheesy beer soup, among other delicious goodies on the menu. Parking is adjacent to the building, and they also have outdoor seating in the summer. The staff are friendly and pleasant, allowing customers to take their time without feeling rushed.

Pilora's is a great lunch or brunch spot when you're looking for comfort food that doesn't make you feel bad about yourself. For instance, you can order a relatively healthly Eden's Chicken Sandwich (warm chicken, onions, peppers, and cucumber sauce on awesome rosemary bread) and it will come with delicious cheesy potatos and a specialty salad! All for $8! They also have delicious salads and beer cheese soup. The servers are always friendly. There is a comfy sitting area with couch and armchair if you're just looking for a comfortable place to sip on coffee. Parking on either side of the building.

I went there for lunch and had the Garbanzo salad sandwich. It was delicious and can't wait to go back to try something else. I also really like the unique menu, very different from the rest of Oshkosh (which is a definite good thing).
