"Rating Pepi's one star only because I have to." I could not write this review fast enough; in fact, I'm still eating. One Yelp before mine warned of the long delivery wait and boy, was she right. Then once the food actually got here, it was so soggy, nearly inedible! I could not believe it, was completely shocked. The fries and Half Naked White Cheddar Cheese Curds were practically wet. The buffalo chicken sandwich was "plain Jane, orangutan gang" as my roommate put it and the shrimp were ok. Unacceptable, especially for $30. Will not be ordering again.

Don't order delivery from Pepi's if you want your food quickly, or delivered in the allotted time. 6 chicken wings, an order of fries, and a meatball sandwich: We waited an hour and a half before i called...on a TUESDAY night. I called the restaurant at the 90 minute mark to inquire about the delivery. I spoke to a young person who said our food was on the way, but offered no explanation as to why it was taking so long or an apology. Terrible customer service. I ordered through grub hub and tipped at the time of purchase...huge mistake. Although, I'm not sure if it's the delivery driver's fault. It's too bad, we liked their pizza. I'm still not eating the food because it's still not here!!! I'm not ordering from this place again. I'm all about good service and they lost me before I even tasted the food... 1 hr 45 minutes...still not here. It's frickin' TUESDAY!!!! Edit: it's too bad the service there was so crappy. The delivery driver is the only reason I'm adding a star. He was nice and apologetic. The food was hot and delicious...too bad service counts.

So you have a lot of mixed reviews about Pepi's: I'm going to tell you how to get your best Pepi's experience. Take out! Don't get delivery. Get it fresh, and come back when they say to, if not 5min earlier. Generally not a long wait time (never took more than 30min for me). I would agree with one of the reviewers: keep it simple! Pepi's DOES have a great recipe that has a LOT of flavor (although it is a bit on the greasy side). But keep it simple. Cheese, Pepperoni, sausage, etc. A medium one topping thin crust pizza is ~$13-$14, so they aren't terribly expensive, but they're not cheap either. It's a great mom & pop type pizza place that's been there for decades. Follow those two suggestions listed above to have the best Pepi's experience you can get. If you don't like it after that, you may never like it then. Also, try their garlic bread! Amazing!!

Pizza was wafer thin, like a saint Louis style pizza. Ingredients seemed to be fresh, and the chicken was juicy. My chief complaint was that there seemed to be a lack of seasoning with everything. Everything seemed to be kinda bland. I'll repost if I get another pizza and it's better... The owner and workers seemed to be very polite and the service was great. I just wish there was a little more seasoning.

I live out of town and I wanted to order lasagna for my boyfriend that lives in Bay View. The woman on the phone was very friendly and helpful. Food arrived in a decent amount of time and I was told by boyfriend that it was tasty. I would order from them again!

Maybe I should have tried the previous reviewer's suggestion. But if delivery isn't reliable, perhaps a restaurant should consider no longer offering it. I would like to review how the pizza is. But it wouldn't be accurate since cold pizza tastes different. Last time I order from Pepi's.

Thin crust pizza was delicious. The crust had cornmeal to make it crunchy. My salad, although different than expected, was fresh. Spinach, fresh mozzarella, tomatoes, and onions with ranch dressing was not exactly what I was thinking of but nevertheless delicious. The white cheddar cheese curds were plentiful and came with a tasty marina sauce. Delivery was faster than predicted.

This is the place to go if you want the worst food and the worst service throughout Milwaukee... Scott is a real piece of work! He was very rude and sounded very depressed like he wanted to kill himself but that's probably because his boss who is probably the owner is also a real piece of work. I couldn't substitute toppings but the pizza I got anyways was like the same price as the special. That's so so so stupid, like Scott and Scott's boss. I ordered a large size pizza with pepperoni and tomatoes. I wanted bacon but Scott, being Scott, insisted that Canadian bacon and bacon were the same thing. This could be another reason he is so depressed, the freakin guy's never had bacon. Anyways, we received our 22$ small large pizza but only once it was cold enough to piss us off. It was mostly a cheese pizza though because they only put a small amount of toppings on like MAYBE a quarter of the pizza. Scotts boss is a cheap guy!

I just have to add to my previous review, Pepi's has recently added some new items to the menu, and while I have not tried them all, I will say my husband and I are obsessed with their BBQ chicken pizza! Great new addition Pepi's!

I ordered the large special tonight. What a disappointment! The crust had such a thick coating of corn meal it was unedible. I just ate the toppings. I called the restaurant & asked them to tell whoever was making the pizza's to cut down on the corn meal on the crust because it tasted like sand & was unedible.! I won't be ordering from them anymore. What a shame.

Customer service was horrible. Plus, the cook asked me "do you think that looks cooked."

Honestly, I'd never go out of my way for this pizza, but it's not horrible. Takes 15-20min if it's not super busy to get your pizza after ordering. I live close by and have only done pickup, as I refuse to pay a $3 delivery charge for the to come a few blocks. The pizza is ok. Very greasy and the sauce is bland/tasteless, but the thin crust is crispy, they do load on the toppings, and they do the traditional cornmeal to prevent sticking on the bottom of the crust. There is better pizza in town, but again if you're close they're not bad either.

Food arrived late and was cold. When I called about the cold pizza, they told me that I couldn't be cold and I was lying. It took over an hour and if was not good. Order elsewhere

Just had a pizza by them yesterday with my dad. This place has went down hill. The last 3 pizzas I've had by them have been incredibly greasy and salty. The delivery took 30 minutes longer than they said it would. And, the driver had no feeling to suggest they were trying to get the pizza there when they said they were. Either way, this place needs to pick it up... they had a great recipe at one time... I hope those days are not lost.

Pepi's has been around forever. It used to be a full service restaurant on S. 16th St. Now it is carryout and delivery only. No inside dining. Their thin crust pizza is the best. I highly recommend the Super Special. That's Cheese, sausage, mushrooms, onions, green peppers, black olives, and a choice of pepperoni, crab meat, shrimp, or lobster. The seafood pizzas are awesome. To be sure it's hot and fresh pick it up yourself and you will not be disappointed.

This is one of the worst pizzas I've ever had. I ordered because they were listed in the hotel I was staying at and It was delivered in a box with cardboard on the bottom like a frozen pizza... it might have been. The buffalo wings are breaded and come with no sauce. Instead there is some sort of buffalo flavoring inside the actual wing... also looks a lot like frozen food. A small pizza and small wings were a little over $20. Skip it.

This is one of my husband and my go-to for pizza night (also Classic Slice). We always pick it up ourselves. Other reviewers seem to have trouble when having it delivered, so maybe stick with carry out (they don't have an eat-in area). This is a basic pizza place, nothing fancy. We always get sausage and jalapeno. It's really spicy and delicious. Good thin crust, perfect amount of sauce, generous toppings. It's amazing how hard it is to find good pizza. We've tried so many places in the last few years.

AVOID THIS PLACE! I do not know how they got 2 5 star reviews...might be employees because this place is gross. I was in town on business and saw their number on my hotel key, so I figured I'd give it a try. First, it took 1 hour 15 minutes for delivery which is unacceptable. When the pizza finally did arrive, it was not hot and the cheese had hardened...you know, how cheese gets if a pizza is sitting in a delivery vehicle for over an hour. The crust was soggy and it was honestly the second worst pizza I've ever had. I called, not to ask for a refund, but to just let them know about my poor experience so they could change their ways to hopefully not have this happen again. When I told them my pizza was room temperature with hardened cheese the girl on the phone said, "well the drivers have hot bags" Ok, that may be true, but no pizza stays hot and fresh, even in a hot bag, for 1 hour 15mins!!! The girl laughed a little like she really didn't care and hung up. HORRIBLE customer service, not even an I'm sorry! Oh yeah, and the crappy pizza was $20...you can get a much better $20 pizza elsewhere, do yourself a favor and avoid this place and their rude employees.

When I think of pizza as comfort food this is the pizza I think of. Thin crust with toppings that actually have flavor and substance. They deliver and do carry out. I don't think there's a dining area. I've only used delivery. Their delivery area is huge. My pizzas always arrive in a timely manner and exactly as ordered. The garlic bread is good too.
