This was such a cool place! I live only a few blocks from here, and I've always wanted to try it out. I had the pub burger with cheese and a side of fries. It was definitely NOT the best burger I've ever had, but it wasn't bad. I definitely enjoyed it. Just not Sobelman's or Oscar's standards. But this place is cool because the service is fantastic! I want to go back and support these people because I can tell they care about their customers. I appreciate that. It's honestly like stepping back in time. I would recommend this place. I'll most likely return and try something different.

Not a fan at all! The woman behind the counter was not friendly, got the order completely wrong, seemed like she was drunk. The fried chicken wings were bland and tasted like old grease, THE MASHED POTATOES WERE INSTANT WITH A PAD OF BUTTER PUT ON TOP!!! Cornbread was decent so we're the greens with cabbage but I'll stick with Mr Perkins or bungalow next time I want some soul food.

I'm so sorry to say that I didnt enjoy my food very much here. The fried chicken was good, but I didnt like any of my sides. It took me a very long time to decide what I wanted because there were to many things on the menu. Maybe cutting that down and focusing strictly on a certain group of foods would improve the quality of the food. The Customer service was superb! I was very sad that I did not enjoy the food at all....:-(

I LOVE MACK's!!! Ms. Mack be hooking it up back there. Been eating here since they opened. And every time I'm in town I have to stop and eat here.

Being from the Milwaukee area and back in town to work, I decided to Yelp some local Soul Food and came up with Mack's. I found the location easily through the Maps app and grabbed one of the four parking spots. They have a very large menu, so making a decision might be a time consuming effort. Since I was in the market for straight up Soul Food, I ordered the Soul Food Dinner, which came with a choice of meat (I chose catfish filets), three sides (I chose dressing, red beans & rice, and Mac-n-Cheese), a cornbread pancake and a choice of dessert (I chose peach cobbler). I love fried okra, so I ordered it separately. Even though they were pretty much out of the okra, they fried up what they had left and added that to an order of fried mushrooms. The amount of food was incredible! Taste-wise, my favorites were the catfish, the cornbread pancake and the dressing (even though they forgot to include the cranberry sauce they offered). Overall, it was a very good meal, a good value, and I would definitely go back for more!

Great menu, very decent simple homestyle food) The value is excellent! (ie: deuce means 2 of that menu item). I ordered the Deuce Cheeseburger special and for $5 I received two burgers, fries, and a small sweet tea. The food was very satisfying, just very straight forward. I was also so happy they served fried okra, one of my favorites! They were very good as well. The menu is huge with lots of value specials serving breakfast, lunch, dinner, and carryout. They had decent cafe style indoor seating available as well as some chairs and tables outdoors too. Also has free wifi so could be a nice place for a working lunch or homework snack. The staff was very nice as well. The sweets menu looked simple but very tasty, plus they had fried biscuits!!! I look forward to going back to try something new!
