Great food and service. All of the employees are very attentive and nice. The prices are good too. The location is great for us, and during state fair, it will be perfect for after the fair closes.

Usually love this place. Great food. Usual good service, but thus last time with bartender Amelia I felt so disrespected. She was on her phone and sitting at the bar with her friend moat of the time. Never once asked me what I needed, I had to get her attention each time. Even walking in. I came in and she was looking at her phone. I had to greet her. She seemed annoyed to have a customer in there while trying to talk to her friend and text. My food got ready and she was too busy talking to notice. Just a very dissapointing experience. And the last time I was there a dif. Girl seemed a bit tipsy, and not focused. However usually the service is much better than those two times.

If Yelp allowed half stars, I'd award three point five. Liquid Johnny's walks the line between the quintessential 'stallis bar and something just a bit more special. What do I mean by "special"? It's not easy to put my finger on it, but I'd say these two features are contributors: blues music and local craft beers. In fact, I'm penning this review at Liquid Johnny's with a Louie's Demise while chillin' to some jamtastic blues blaring from the hi-fi. I've also got one eye that's darting forth and back between NASCAR qualifying and professional bowling. See what I mean? Special meets 'stallis. (For those unfamiliar, "'stallis" is short for West Allis - Milwaukee's blue collar bedroom community. It's a great place, but has a unique vibe all its own.) LJ's has long been a supporter of Milwaukee blues music. I used to come here regularly on Tuesdays for a blues jam that often included a who's who of Milwaukee blues. They've since terminated that series, but you're still likely to hear some tasty grooves here - whether they be live or recorded. The food is respectable too. And it won't break the bank. Moments before authoring this, I enjoyed a fresh grilled chicken chicken salad with lots of fresh greens, cukes, 'maters and onions. For $7.50, it was a solid and healthy value. You know what else? The place is strikingly clean. That's saying something, 'cause I know this place gets used hard - especially on a Friday night (I'm writing this on a Saturday afternoon). As I look around, the floor's vacuumed, the bar and tabletops are spotless and the mirrors shine. To my Mom - the original Yelper before Yelp - cleanliness was everything. Well, cleanliness and the quality of the coffee - Hell hath no fury like my mom after she's been served a burnt cup of coffee. Liquid Johnny's. Visit here, order a Milwaukee craft or a Bloody Mary and chill to some blues. Why not? After all, it's Mom approved! ;)

Stopped in for lunch on a Friday. Its an 8 table and about 15 seats at the bar kinda place. A couple of TVs and classic rock jammin on the speakers. Eight draft beer options, all local Wisconsin beer options except blue moon. Another 30 bottled beer options. Had the Scott Burger, which was tasty, I'd say above average and I'll come back for it or other options on the menu. The claim to have a good fish fry. It's right across from state fair park and the do have a few tables outside in a fenced in garden.

We had to take a detour while trying to get to the highway, and we passed Liquid Johnny's. My friend desperately needed a drink so we stopped and picked a couple up. Thos place makes a pretty good drink, and they have quite the goos beer selection, craft and massbrew. It's all at seemingly good prices. I didn't rea;ize that they had food till I was outside.

Decent craft beer selection for a Stallis bar - lakefront riverwest stein, IPA, Louie's Denise etc, also tried cheese curds and wings which were decent. Very friendly service.
