This place is right around the corner from us so that is a huge plus. If we weren't so lazy we could walk there. The prices are cheap! It's nice to get a couple of scoops for under $4.00. I have chocolate every time I go there. It's a little salty to my taste but I'll keep going there for more. They have a daily flavor too. There is a guy that works there that is about 7 feet tall and he is ALWAYS nice. I wish he was there every time we go there. The place seems really clean too.

The Chief of Staff forced me to here just because we were driving by. She seems to think we have to try any frozen custard stand we see because we live in Wisconsin now. Frozen custard isn't a Chicago thing so even though we've been here 8 years now, I do have to say it's one of the best things about living in Milwaukee. This location looks a bit hoary and run-down from the outside, but the inside is bright and clean, the workers attentive, fast and friendly, and the prices lower than at other custard stands I've been to.

My family and I wanted something quick but a step above the normal fast food on this cold night. So we decided to try Juniors for the first time. They were out of the shrimp that I wanted which was fine so I went with the simple chicken tenders. I also got my daughter the kids meal with a corn dog. My tenders looked flat, ok to taste. Instead of the fries I asked to substitute for onion rings. When I opened them they looked burned and very hard. My daughter's corn dog was rock hard and looked as if it was left in the fryer too long. They forgot her drink so I had to go back and ask for it along with the dipping sauce for my meal. I think I'll just stick with Freds on vliet; food is always good, cheaper and great customer service.

A nice place in the neighborhood to have having been there since it was Robert's. The service and cleanliness can be lacking at times but I haven't had any issues with the food or custard which is generally good (and the location is convenient). You might want to call ahead- the hours of operation here state 10am-11pm and in its doors reads "10am-10pm everyday" yet I was recently there at 9:45 and walked in and they said they're closed so, not really consistent advertising on store hours.

All I have to say...Customer Service is a joke...Worst Ice Cream ever...either its runny or has freezer burn(I'd rather have a cone from McDonald's). I wouldn't visit this place again if someone paid me.

The Milwaukee frozen custard scene is the Big Leagues of frozen dessert. You've got your big hitters out there like Kopp's and Leon's, duking it out for title of Best of the Best frozen custard. These top dogs draw customers from far and wide, and are usually the first places locals bring out of town visitors looking for the Milwaukee frozen custard experience. But often overlooked are the second tier of custard joints, the "farm clubs" that serve a much smaller and more focused fan base. Robert's Frozen Custard is one such place. Once upon a time, there was a custard stand in every single neighborhood in Milwaukee. Many of these mom n' pops went out of business over the years, but Robert's is one of those neighborhood joints that have hung on and prospered. Robert's is my neighborhood custard stand. I can easily walk or bike over to Robert's for a quick fix of custard. Is it as good as the big boys? Probably not, but, hey, we can't all be in the Big Leagues. But Robert's holds its own and provides a good, quality product.

This is the best custard I've had in a LONG time. Everything I've had here is good, even their chicken sandwiches! (they changed their fries, so they are not as good as they used to be). The custard here and all their special flavors are AWESOME. Their shakes are nice and thick, and everything just is amazing. Perfect for any day of the year.
