I'm going out on a limb here, and that's a pretty scary thing seeing how I am 180 lbs and this tree is a dying willow...but here goes: The Needle Inn has the best god damn hamburger in Milwaukee County. Better than the overhyped Sobelmans? yup. Better than those god awful butter burgers? no doubt. SCREEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEECH! "what? wait? who?" yeah, same response when I had it. This is an old man's corner bar at its best, seated from opening to close with factory workers sipping small beers and shooting pool. Hell, in the early morn they are even hooked on the tube TV's to "A Guiding Light". This already makes me love the place. BUT here's where the secret comes in...their grill and fryer. The beast sits right in front of ya, fryer and all. Everything that comes off it tastes of the days grilling, and that's a good thing. Country Crocked buns toasted and meat a juicing..this is what a true burger full of flavor should and does taste like. Purity. Carnivorous. Cheap. Good company. I have yet to take a fellow burger lover here and have them walk away without acknowledging it's greatness. Sure my ego would like them to acknowledge my greatness, but the burger is just too mighty a competitor here.
