George is a true entertainer who will welcome any patron into his pub with open arms. It's the kind of place where you'd want to stop in after work and have a few drinks before heading home. George can carry conversation with you, and drinks are super cheap. During Pedal Taverns, make sure your driver takes you here, as George and his crew will give you beads and raffle tickets to win fabulous prizes. If you're super nice and ask him, he'll even sing a Johnny Cash song for ya. Be sure to try his favorite pub shot, the Volcano! It's delicious!!!

Go here if you haven't already. This place is a gem from the past. George is still a charmer and he loves to do a little Johnny Cash karaoke for the pedal tavern crowds.

This rinky dink little hole in the wall was our first stop on the Pedal Tavern... and easily my favorite. The owner, a Korean war vet and retired country music singer, welcomed us in on the mic with explaining all about George's. The walls are coated with unique pictures, memorabilia, and random things that all seem to have a very unique and interesting story behind them. The drinks are dirt cheap, I paid $1 for a Busch Light. Also, a bar that's serving Busch Light is pretty cool in my book. They have one TV very small in the upper left corner of the bar. I think this place would be fantastic to watch NASCAR or a Packers game. The best part about George's is the atmosphere for sure. You feel like you're in an up north boone Wisconsin back of the woods kind of bar. And the whole gang is there to serve you drinks with a smile. Before we left, I was even able to convince the bartender/owner to sing us a little Johnny Cash. I must go back to George's.

George's in one word: Epic. It is by far one of the coolest dives in Milwaukee. A group of friends and I went here as a stop on the pedal tavern and they welcomed us with beads at the door. George is a legend, the walls are covered in living history and he's got the stories to go with, which he tells everyone in the bar about via microphone. I hear he does killer impressions, that Friday nights are karaoke and the mens bathroom is plastered with pictures of naked ladies. He told us some amazing stories of when he would fly out to Vegas with all of his friends back in the day, he preferred when the mob ran things there though. The drinks there are classic dive bar- or all that I would want in a dive bar, $1 Busch Light and others of similar caliber beer, don't expect a huge variety there. George's is an epic Milwaukee dive bar that must be experienced ASAP.

George's is an amazing, authentic land that time forgot or never knew existed. I don't want to give away too much, but I will say this: THIS is one of MKE's best kept secrets, but only if you're the type that enjoys dive bars, history, fun, and keepin' it realer than real. If you want fancy wines or lots of craft beer options and perfect service, George's is not for you. If you're rocking the pedal tavern, do elect to stop here. If you're a fan of Milwaukee, if you're a fan of dive bars, if you're a fan of old school, if you're a fan of realer than realness, or if you're simply a fan of Busch Light, go to George's.

Get here before you die. I have gotten drunk all over world this is top10 places for crazy local bars. If you don't have a good time I will buy u a shot of butterscotch schnapps. George is one of a kind.

This place is a hidden gem. One of the best surprises in Milwaukee that I've found. Stopped here on the Pedal Tavern and George is genuinely humbled every time the guys stop by. Cheap drinks, crazy history on the walls, and tons of great stories from the man himself. yes, ask him to play sing Ring of Fire for you, it'll be the highlight of your night.

If it weren't for the pedal tavern we never would have stumbled into George's - and that would be a damn shame. It was easily the best bar on the pedal tour and if I were a local it'd quickly become my watering hole of choice. George is a true raconteur and a fantastic emcee. I could only imagine what a full night spent here would be like. I loved the raffle tickets upon entering - when asked what they were for George responded with "We'll raffle off some souvenirs." - It's the little touches like this that give this place the personality that would get me to come back.

Stop one in our Pedal Tavern adventure takes us to this hidden gem. Owned by ex-MPD homicide cops, they are very welcoming! We were greeted with beads, raffle tickets, popcorn and drink specials. It's like a museum of MKE artifacts in here. Could browse through all of it for hours... but sadly George will close and become more landfill space. :(

I have no idea how places like George's Pub continue to chug through the years and I don't want to know. I only say that because George and his crew are a class act and are definitely a place to take anybody for an original experience, except for your first date. George will be sure to steal her heart.

This is one of the last Ma&Pa Bars you will find in Milwaukee. George is a true class act. Definitely stop here to shoot the breeze with this guy. The whole crew is great. Sharon, Stevie, Dale, and Wednesday included. Make sure to get a shot of butterscotch and a t-shirt.
