A pizza saved my life tonight. After a cold sailing trip on Lake Michigan we ordered a pizza to the dock. It arrived just after we tied up. Steaming hot. And tasty! The pizza was thin and fresh. Flaky crust, well spiced. Craig, our delivery driver, who also said that he made the pizza was prompt, courteous, and pleasant. I'll be back whenever I'm in town. I reccomend this place highly.

Overall pretty good. The best attempt at everyday Italian food in WI. I had their Stuffed Pizza (a small feeds like 8 people) and put in a special request to the kitchen to make it with chicken parmesan. They said they have never done it before but it came out pretty good - I appreciated the effort. The pizza was burnt in spots on the bottom but overall you can't beat the price for what you get. I'd give them a try again when in town.

The BLT pizza is absolutely amazing. Deep fried ravioli and spinach artichoke dip were the best we have ever tasted. The staff and great drinks made my visit awesome. We will return.

One of our favorite thin crust pizza places when we get back to Wisconsin.

We had the Gyro pizza. My wife said "I can't believe how much I like this pizza." And then she said it again. About six times. And then once more the next day after she'd eaten the leftovers. (for the record, I liked it too. 'twas loaded with gyro meat, onions and gyro sauce or whatever that stuff is technically called.) The spinach and artichoke tip was also very good. The garlic bread was a little "meh," but it's called "Tony's Pizza," not "Tony's Garlic Bread" right? So get a pizza and you'll be golden.

Their pizza isn't good like it used to be, all of my family has stopped ordering from Tony's. It seems to always be busy, but it can't be for the pizza.

Excellent Italian food, the alfredo sauce is made with real cheese, not something out of a can Pizza is one of the best in the area.

We were visiting the Manitowoc, Maritime Museum and not being familiar with the Manitowoc area I placed my trust into the hands of my fellow Yelpers. After a general survey of the family, pizza was the top choice. Referencing Yelp and reading over a few reviews, Tony's Pizza seemed to be a sure bet. Upon entry you clearly notice the good size bar, which I'll admit, looked very inviting and wouldn't mind giving it a test run some winter evening. There is a small dinning area and I would say even with the bar, it is family friendly. In fact, there were three other families there all with toddler aged kids. We were hungry and I noticed on the menu for each size pizza they gave how many it feeds. So, considering this and family size we ordered two, medium pizzas, a Hawaiian, and the other with Sausage & Pepperoni. I also noticed from other tables they cut the pizza in those small squares, and asked for our pizza's to be cut in the traditional pie shape, which they did. While waiting for the pizza, the waitress brought out some garlic bread which was devoured rather quickly. When they brought the pizza's to the table I knew right away we ordered way too much pizza and their suggested number on the menu is way off ! The waitress notice my surprise and with some laughter she remarked, "they are bigger than you expected." The thought of, "well you could have warned us that the pizzas are big here would have been nice. " but I didn't say this, as she was doing a real good job. overall. The pizza came out HOT! It smelled delicious, it looked delicious and it WAS delicious. I personally liked the large pieces of sausage and the crust was really nice too. No pizza bones left with this pizza ! We really enjoyed the pizza and due to their size, we had plenty of leftovers to take home, which didn't make it to the next day as the kids munched on it sometime during the night. Clearly, if we are in the area again, we'll certainly be coming back here.

The pizza was good, although not what we ordered. Service was slow and we couldn't find our waitress, so we ate it. When we told the waitress, who finally showed up, that she brought us the wrong pizza, she wasn't too concerned about it. The place sure isn't like it was when Tony owned it.

Every year I ride in the Scenic Shore 150 bike ride and we stay in Manitowoc the first night. Tony's has become part of our annual trip. The pizza can't be beat and the patio is a great place to enjoy the food. Always friendly staff and very reasonable prices.

Disappointed, ordered pizza while in town for a conference, pizza was nearly inedible due to every piece of sausage being comprised mostly of gristle. Too bad.

Pizza was okay. Bacon on the meat lovers was raw and kinda ruined the rest of the pie. Speaking of ruined, one of the people sitting at the next table was very loud, so loud that I asked the waitress to possibly move us. She told me that the person at the other table was the OWNER! Wow!

Pizza

Pizza is a famous Italian dish savored around the world. The entire credit for the popularity of Pizza in the United States goes to the chain of pizzerias all over the country. While the base and the texture of Pizza remains same across the globe, it's the toppings that differs from country to country. In the United States, you will find the top pizzerias serving pizzas with the toppings of mainly beef, bacon, chicken, ham, and sausage for the non-vegetarians. Other than these famous meat options, Pizzas with veg toppings such as mushrooms, pepperonis, garlic, tomatoes, spinach, etc. are also famous in most restaurants in the United States.

Irrespective of your locality, you will find a variety of different restaurants in your cities offering pizzas of all different types. Pizza is hot favorite among people of all ages in the United States. A large size pizza is enough to feed a family of 3 or 4 at large. Pizza is also the most preferred food whenever a group of friends is hanging out together. Pizza gained popularity in the United States after the American soldiers stationed in Italy returned from World War II.

Over the years, different pizzerias in the United States have developed their own respective regional variations. Pizza gained popularity as the iconic dish in the United States in the second half of the 20th century. Whether you prefer thin or thick crust pizza, you can find a pizza of your preference at the best pizza restaurants in your city.

Italian Cuisine

The immense popularity of Italian cuisine globally isn't unknown. You can find an Italian Pizzeria around every corner of almost every city in the United States. Not to forget that in every house, people enjoy mac and cheese as comfort food. But it would be wrong to believe that Italian food starts with pizza and ends with good pasta as this Mediterranean country has much more to offer other than these two dishes. In Italian Cuisine, there is a high use of fresh tomatoes, all kinds of herbs, great quality of cheese, all types of meat, seafood and fresh handmade pasta. Many find it hard to believe that Italians have been making noodles long back.

Italian and Greek cuisines are always mistaken to be same, but they are poles apart. The primary difference between the two cuisines is the use of cheese in most of the Italian dishes. Italians love to cultivate their own cheese and process them as per their food requirement. It is believed that some cheese is so expensive that cheese producers secure them in lockers.

If you are bored eating the same old pasta or pizza, you can try some of the authentic Italian dishes like Risotto, Polenta, Ribollita, Lasagna, Fiorentina Steak, Bottarga, Ossobuco, Carbonara, Focaccia, Arancini and Supplì. Another item which Italians love to relish every morning is a good cup of Italian Coffee. Once you taste a freshly brewed cup of Italian Coffee, you might not visit Starbucks ever again. Authentic Italian food is made with heart and soul, so go find a restaurant where you can relish Italian cuisine in your city.
