Best Ice Cream Franchise in ... THE WORLD! Inventiveness, service, flavor and participation highlight the cold stone experience. Ben and Jerry's offer similar quality ice cream, but at portions that rival kiddie cups. Cold stone creates meals of ice cream and add ins. You pick the toppings and sizes and they mash and mold in front of you ... their creations do not involve a blender or silly coverage of the ice cream with over-bearing amounts of fudge and whip cream, but is part of the fold in a homemade waffle bowl (only $1.00 extra with ornamentation). The result is ridiculously fun, mouth watering, filling and (unfortunately) addictive. Go now while you can get my seat. [Of special note, they cater to nut allergies. Regardless of how busy it is, they will replace or wash their equipment and mold your creation on a fresh surface. I have visited dozens of times and nobody groused!]

I have no idea how this place stays in business. Chocolate Shoppe is locally owned and operated, has better flavors, more selection, more options, lower prices, and its RIGHT ACROSS THE STREET. The goons at Coldstone Corporate are cold hard profiteers.

Not bad, I've always gone to Cold Stone since I lived in Middleton and one opened there. I adore their Peanut Butter Cup Perfection. Kinda pricey, and this location really sucked. They have a tin can with a small key on it for the one bathroom they have, and a (I thought) rude sign on the bathroom door saying "bathroom use is for paying customers only!" I find this rude considering I've been in the situation where I have to go, and being a girl, can't just go anywhere, so any time I see this kind of sign, I highly disapprove. I don't care how many people come in just to use the bathroom and not buy anything, it's not like making them buy something vs. them not buying anything and just using the bathroom is going to make you so much more money. Instead, people who need a bathroom will see that and just go elsewhere, they won't just buy something quick so they can pee. Lastly, the seating here is terrible. There are two small tables by the window with 3 chairs each, and so close together that if people are at one, you would just be sitting with them (I don't mind this, but when we went there the people there looked like they wouldn't want us to join haha), so we went to the only other table in the whole place, between a door and the cake refrigerator (which again only had 3 chairs and there were 4 of us) and very cramped. This being February, there were no seats outside (not like we'd sit out in the snow eating ice cream anyway), so people after us had no where to sit. Don't think I'll be back to this location, until summer at least when I can eat my ice cream outside.

Congratulations, Cold Stone Creamery, on earning the 2nd 1-star review I've given. You and The Pub are forever entwined in this fashion. There is no way I would ever patronize this establishment, unless I lived in the middle of nowhere, with no possible way to get good ice cream (I mean, the local grocery store would have to not carry ice cream for me to eat there). Cold Stone shouldn't exist anywhere in Wisconsin, given that we are rife with local, high-quality ice creamy goodness. Where? RIGHT ACROSS THE STREET FROM COLD STONE. Cold Stone opened across the street from the Chocolate Shoppe because they are soulless merchants of evil. :p

I love being able to create my own ice cream desert, but I do have to agree with many of the reviews on this page, that it is VERY overpriced. It's not somewhere I go all the time, but If we're having date night, or just in the mood for some good ice cream we stop by Cold Stone Creamery. My creation = Sweet Cream Ice Cream, with brownie, heath bar and fudge!

I think cold stone creamery is ridiculously overpriced. The ice cream tastes good but the prices are outragous. For that reason I no longer go eat there.

I would die without Coldstone Creamery. Die. I love this place so much. I frequent the State Street and Middleton locations weekly. I always try different creations. Once I get the idea in my head, I have to go. In fact, now that I am writing this review I am going to have to go when I get off work in 13 minutes. I told my friends that I am on a Coldstone and cheese diet - those are the only two foods I need to live. Unfortunately, they aren't always the best for my waistline. Anyway, eat here!!!
