Consistently great food and service. In my opinion best Italian restaurant in Kenosha! The only thing the needs airtime but of work is the decor. My mom doesn't like going there (even though she loves the food) simply because the carpeting is old and run down. I'm not sure others would skip. Great restaurant for that reason alone, but I'm sure there are others out there. Hands down best Creamy Garlic dressing I have had at any restaurant. It is the impossibly high standard I hold all other creamy garlic dressing to!

Just keep driving. Not worth the trouble. My salad was warm-lettuce was brown. Never had the pizza, so I can't judge that.

Very dated decor...however, food is delicious. Best meatballs around. Service has always been friendly. Great pizza. Fabulous soups. Have not had a bad experience or food yet and we visit pretty often. Always take food home, leftovers are so yummy. I definitely recommend.

The pan special pizza really is quite special. I recommend the Pan Special (the house specialty). Just thinking about it makes my mouth water. The thin pizzas are great too. The secret is in their sauce. It takes all day to make and it shows. It might be the best marinara sauce I've ever had. A secret item that isn't always on the menu that is always available is the grilled chicken salad. It is enormous, comes packed with veggies and grilled chicken, an huge pieces of garlic bread. It is one of the best dinner values in town. This is a family run restaurant. The staff gets to know you by name and the care and quality really shines through!

This place is pretty good. Their pizza is fresh, their calzones are good (try one with spinach and giardinara, seriously!) as are their appetizers and sandwiches, and they have good beer specials on some days. The only thing I did not like was their chicken parmesan dinner. Also, really cheap Leine's on Fridays!

Came here on a whim for the first time a few months ago. I walked in with my boyfriend and looked around for some kind of direction about seating. All the tables are different shapes and sizes, spaced around a large open room. The waitress saw us and didn't bother to tell us to seat ourselves. We stood awkwardly at the door until finally giving up on the waitress and choosing our own table. We were seated for over ten minutes before the indifferent waitress approached our table with menus. She didn't make eye contact, or smile. She then grumpily took our drink order. It felt as if she was annoyed by our business. She came back after another 15 minutes with our drinks and to take our order. My boyfriend ordered the Special Pizza, and I ordered the Alfredo. I asked if I could have broccoli with my Alfredo and she rudely declined. After another 15-20 minutes, which is acceptable if we hadn't already been there for over half an hour, our food arrived. My boyfriend enjoyed his pizza. I had a bite, and It was good. My Alfredo was repulsive. Half of the noodles were undercooked. A few of them were still crunchy, and the sauce was beyond bland. I can guarantee there wasn't even 1/4 tsp of garlic in the entire dish. Tasted like buttered raw noodles. The seating is awful. A bunch of mixed matched tables too close to one another, the food was 50/50, and the service was so incredibly awful. I wouldn't go back if you paid me.

Surprised by reviews here...went the other night and everything about this place was a joke. Service was poor, food was bad, instead of coke or Pepsi, they serve RC cola (terrible) Would not recommend

When trying to find a place to eat dinner in Kenosha, I picked Ruffolo's out of the phone book and we decided to give it a try. Now we are so glad that we did - Ruffolo's definitely has the best pizza! I would put it in my top 2 pizza places of all time, and my husband says it's his #1 favorite. It's a nice deep dish with quality crust and great, flavorful toppings. We got the special pizza, which is just delicious. I really like the tomatoes on the special pizza; they are very fresh and taste great. The decor is homey and old-style, nothing fancy, but it makes it a cozy place to eat. We live about an hour and a half away, but we make special trips out to Kenosha just for Ruffolo's pizza as often as we can!

This is my go-to place if I want deep dish pizza in Kenosha. They also have a pretty good bar, and a decent menu of southern Italian dishes and sandwiches.

Pizza

Pizza is a famous Italian dish savored around the world. The entire credit for the popularity of Pizza in the United States goes to the chain of pizzerias all over the country. While the base and the texture of Pizza remains same across the globe, it's the toppings that differs from country to country. In the United States, you will find the top pizzerias serving pizzas with the toppings of mainly beef, bacon, chicken, ham, and sausage for the non-vegetarians. Other than these famous meat options, Pizzas with veg toppings such as mushrooms, pepperonis, garlic, tomatoes, spinach, etc. are also famous in most restaurants in the United States.

Irrespective of your locality, you will find a variety of different restaurants in your cities offering pizzas of all different types. Pizza is hot favorite among people of all ages in the United States. A large size pizza is enough to feed a family of 3 or 4 at large. Pizza is also the most preferred food whenever a group of friends is hanging out together. Pizza gained popularity in the United States after the American soldiers stationed in Italy returned from World War II.

Over the years, different pizzerias in the United States have developed their own respective regional variations. Pizza gained popularity as the iconic dish in the United States in the second half of the 20th century. Whether you prefer thin or thick crust pizza, you can find a pizza of your preference at the best pizza restaurants in your city.

Italian Cuisine

The immense popularity of Italian cuisine globally isn't unknown. You can find an Italian Pizzeria around every corner of almost every city in the United States. Not to forget that in every house, people enjoy mac and cheese as comfort food. But it would be wrong to believe that Italian food starts with pizza and ends with good pasta as this Mediterranean country has much more to offer other than these two dishes. In Italian Cuisine, there is a high use of fresh tomatoes, all kinds of herbs, great quality of cheese, all types of meat, seafood and fresh handmade pasta. Many find it hard to believe that Italians have been making noodles long back.

Italian and Greek cuisines are always mistaken to be same, but they are poles apart. The primary difference between the two cuisines is the use of cheese in most of the Italian dishes. Italians love to cultivate their own cheese and process them as per their food requirement. It is believed that some cheese is so expensive that cheese producers secure them in lockers.

If you are bored eating the same old pasta or pizza, you can try some of the authentic Italian dishes like Risotto, Polenta, Ribollita, Lasagna, Fiorentina Steak, Bottarga, Ossobuco, Carbonara, Focaccia, Arancini and Supplì. Another item which Italians love to relish every morning is a good cup of Italian Coffee. Once you taste a freshly brewed cup of Italian Coffee, you might not visit Starbucks ever again. Authentic Italian food is made with heart and soul, so go find a restaurant where you can relish Italian cuisine in your city.
