A typical 24 hour Greek owned diner that is quite common in this area. The menu is very large with just as many options, including specials. The food will usually be good to very good and in large portions with average prices. Meals will come with a cup of soup, the beef barley was good. The gyro was of good size but the meat and tzatziki sauce were fairly bland. It is the type of place you take for granted until you move away and realize how convenient it is.

Marina Garden Kenosha restaurant is a locally owned restaurant / diner in the heart of the city of Kenosha. I was in town for the Wisconsin Marathon this year and had picked up my race packet at the nearby Best Western on 6th Street. I met a friend there and we decided on getting lunch and that stale pizza I hauled all the way from Fitchburg from the night before wasn't going to cut it. I scratched my head as to where to go to eat, and with luck will have it, I spotted Marina Garden relatively next door. Located on 6th Street, this restaurant diner is as cute as they come. I guess you could say that it was a whim when I spotted this restaurant and decided to check this place out. Kenosha isn't big on tourism, but it has its place in Wisconsin. The Marina Garden has its own private parking lot, so that's awesome. Not much in the way of spaces, but there's normally enough spaces if you decide on eating at off peak times. What's amazing about this place is that they do breakfast 24/7, like IHOP restaurants, but better. That was exciting to say. The ambiance of this restaurant was homely and quiet. I like quiet for the most part, since it gave me the opportunity to think and reflect on the entire experience of travel and the marathon experience so far. My marathoner friend and I got lucky and sat at a window booth, where these 2 women and a guy talked about their previous marathon experiences and how they performed. We couldn't help but eavesdrop and smile from all the newbie mistakes they endured. I myself have done some rookie mistakes over the course of 50+ marathons, so I took it all in stride and happy that they all were doing the marathon that weekend. The service was good and perfect. I ended up ordering the steak and eggs with hash browns. Along with a side of French fries and water. My marathoner friend had pasta along with a bowl of soup, which I forgot the name of. It was nice to be able to sit down and eat after a whirlwind morning of driving out of Fitchburg and into Kenosha. I really liked this place and enjoyed the food. The prices were not overpriced, so it's as normal as you can get with breakfast anyway. Overall comfort was above average and the food was decisively delicious. Overall, this place is nice for what it serves up. Totally recommended if you are a big breakfast food junkie. Hoping to return again soon, if I am in the area again. Support local! B+

I recently visited this restaurant to meet with family for a quick get together, and a meal. MISTAKE. I don't know how this establishment has the High reviews it has, the food was grotesque. I can understand having to cut costs, but to be served that quality of food is inexcusable. Service was okay, but very inattentive waiter that did little but stand around like she couldn't be inconvenienced for anything. Will recommend to everyone I know Not to waste there time there.

How does this place have such a high rating? It's your typical late night diner where everything's frozen or pre-made. The service is fine but the food is nothing special. It's where you go when you're drunk and need to sober up at 2 in the morning.

Excellent for breakfast. Good or mediocre for dinner. This is a dependable and predictable Greek diner or Greek coffee shop. For breakfast, the eggs over easy with hash browns and pancakes were excellent. The coffee was very good. My dining companion had a ham-and-cheese omelet with white toast, also good. On another day, I had the corned beef hash (great), scrambled eggs and hash browns (not brown and crispy enough, a little soggy) For dinner, we had the broiled pork chops and the rotisserie half-chicken, both acceptable. The meals included a large bowl of delicious creamy potato soup. To accompany the meal, the baked potato was excellent, but the mashed potatoes seemed like instant. The gravy was a horrible yellow glue. The meals included a nice choice of simple desserts, we had chocolate ice cream and tapioca pudding, both good. I'd return for breakfast only.

I have only eaten here a few times but it isn't great. Since they are open 24 hours they are one of the few places to go to sober up at 2 am after a late night at the bars. The food is at best mediocre from what I have experienced. The wait staff is definitely hit or miss. Sometimes they are very attentive and sometimes you have to wait forever for service.

Tried the Kurds as an appetizer and had a bowl of navy bean soup. The staff was very friendly made you feel very welcome the food was average

Mediocre at best. I went there for lunch while attending a seminar the the Best Western nearby. Large menu. I chose egg benedict for lunch - figured you can never go wrong with breakfast. The sauce was bland, cold and did not taste fresh. They did get the hashbrowns rigfh- crispy on the outside and soft on the inside. Not a place I would put high on the list to return to.

I decided to make the trek up to Kenosha last night to see what this place was all about. But to be honest, I went so that I could smoke indoors again. Living in Illinois, I had forgotten what it feels like to be treated like an adult who is capable of making his own decisions. But I'll be damned, the food was actually very good. I got the "homemade" corned beef hash and eggs. The hash actually tasted homemade! Ho-lee crap. My only complaint was the waitress, and its not even that big of a complaint. She was a little slow. It took a while for her to come over and say hi, and then she promised us a pitcher of water that never appeared. All in all, good times. I will definitely be returning.

If you're indecisive in dining options, Marina Garden has it all. Once you enter, the decisions don't get an easier because they have a huge selection of dishes (I always recommend their breakfasts). They have a separated smoking section (not sure if this is a good/bad thing, but its better than many other Kenosha friendly locales). It is at a great location on the Kenosha inland harbor near Simmons Island so stop here before hitting up the beaches or museums. When everything else shuts down in downtown, they keep the lights on and hands serving. Just one of the common Greek family spots but definitely with standards in quality and service (oh and reasonable prices).

Stopped in for a cup of coffee and some pie. Wound up getting the Wisconsin cheese curds. They were deep fried bits of cheese that were pretty good. They were served with both ranch dressing and marinara sauce. Also ordered the navy bean soup which was really good and flavorful. Didn't get to try the pie!

A great place to sit down and eat, has a little bit of everything in terms of food. We (a group of three) came in around 5:30pm. Two of us found our food delicious, though my second friend's fried chicken was a little dry. The service was top-notch, and our waitress was friendly and sociable. I remember her asking me loudly how my dish was so that the next table over could hear what I thought (it was really good).

This place is an awesome go-to for simple, fast dining. Yes, it's not gourmet, but everything tastes good and the servers are friendly and efficient. LOVE the breakfast skillets here and it's conveniently located downtown so you can take walks to the local shops or the marina. Back in my drinking days, this was also the place to hit up for food after bar hours (it's open 24/7).

This is just a good breakfast spot. All I have ever had is the breakfast so I can't speak about the rest of the menu. Parking can be tough in the am on the weekends. The breakfast menu has a great selection of items but I like the bacon and fetta omelet that they make for me or the gyro and eggs. If it's not on the menu they will make it for you no problem. The staff is always great. When I lived down the street I would go most weekends.

I like Marina Garden. The service is great and the food is decent enough for the price. Nice atmosphere, too. I like going to this place with my parents whenever I'm in town and I would recommend it to others who just want something cheap and quick.

If you find yourself in Kenosha, Wisconsin at 2 in the morning, there is no better place to go than Marina Garden. The food is good, cheap, and their menu has a ton of options. It's a solid 24-hour diner.

Nice place, curteous waitresses. One star off for being a little pricey. Great when you're downtown and are hungry in the middle of the night (24 hour service). If you're a little tipsy or otherwise, they will look the other way.
