I haven't been back since my April visit, and have been pleased that I decided to make another visit. I had the Curry Fried Rice (Pork) lunch special with crab rangoon. The food was very good and the portion was great. I would recommend this. The next day i returned for the Basil Fried Rice (Pork) lunch special with the Thai eggroll. I enjoyed this much more than the curry fried rice. The Thai eggroll lacked meat and vegetable filling in my opinion, but still managed to produce a good flavor. For $6.50, this is worth it. So a quick recap of what I've tried so far... Yes to - Curry Fried Rice, Basil Fried Rice, Pho, Lao Papaya, and Dumpling appetizer. No to - Laab, Tom Yum Soup.

I had high hopes for this place, but they all came crashing down when I received my food via delivery. I ordered the chicken lad nar and the Thai iced tea with tapioca. The lad nar was essentially tasteless. It tasted like chicken broth. This dish offers a variety of veggies in which I could not taste at all. The noodles were cooked well. However, they were so stingy on the amount, I found myself rationing them (think, one noodle per 3 or 4 bites). I was so disappointed. The boba tea was no different in the sense that it had almost zero taste. I mean, the only reason I knew it was Thai tea is because I ordered it. Had I not, I could see myself needing a few sips to figure out the flavor. It was so watery and again, disappointing. I don't know...maybe I'm spoiled as I am from Chicago and have tasted some of the best Thai food outside of Thailand. I just expected my lad nar to have more flavor than a basic chicken broth or for my sweet tea drink to not taste like water. I feel that for the quality and quantity, I should have paid a lot less.

Got takeout last night, and it was pretty good! I'm from Chicago (lots of high quality Thai food there) and I was in Bangkok and Phuket, Thailand for a week earlier this summer, so I had high expectations. Took about 20-25 min from the time we called to the time we picked up. We ordered hunan beef, veggie pad thai, and panang curry. I thought the curry was the best of the 3, with hunan beef a close second. The curry and the hunan beef had great flavors, lots of veggies, and a good amount of heat. The pad thai was okay, but could have had a little more spice or peanuts or...something. Pricing was okay, maybe a little high. Overall though, I will order from them again for takeout or maybe try dining in. Not as good as Chicago or Thailand, but a solid choice for the area.

What a hidden treasure! I was recently in Janesville for training and my co-workers and I decided to try it out for our hour lunch break. The service was great and the food was even better. Higher end Chinese food for very little $. I ordered the combination Pad-Tai. The meal was delicious and was the perfect amount for lunch. The lunch special for $6.50 comes with your choice of an egg roll or two crab rangoons. I did however get an additional order of crab rangoons. If I am ever in the area again I will be stopping by.

Great Thai option in Janesville. I live an hour from Madison, Rockford and Janesville. This is the best Thai option I've found in the area. Friendly polite servers. We ordered the chicken egg rolls, Tom Yum soup, Shrimp Pad Thai and Pad Kee Mao (Drunken Noodles). Nothing disappointed. Complimentary Raspberry cake too. Bonus points for removing the tails from the shrimp.

Everytime and I mean, everytime, we try to order dinner delivery from here, it is a nightmare! If you try, please be prepared for the meal to take at least an 1 1/2 hours to arrive. The waitress on the other end of the phone cannot correctly take orders.-how can you miss a whole entree???? The food is good but they skimp on the protiens. Just not worth the headache....

Wow! This place is a diamond hidden in the middle of Janesville! I had the Larb Chicken (Laos dish?) ... Amazing. I'm definitely going back here to try more things. And they deliver up to 5 miles away!

We were traveling through Janesville and decided to eat at the Asian Bistro because of the fine reviews. The service was awful. We sat and sat with no service. We politely waived to one of the staff and asked if we could place our order. She was defensive and rude. We decided to leave and try a Mexican restaurant in Janesville (El Jardin) where the service and food were excellent. Unless the staff has an attitude adjustment don't bother with this restaurant.

This is a wonderful restaurant run by delightful people. The food is authentic and tasty. We have eaten there a handful of times since it opened this summer. Give it a try sometime.

6 of us went to Asian Bistro for Friday night dinner, celebrating a birthday. 2 had been there before, and had suggested it. It is a true family owned and operated affair, with "mom" as the chef. We had crab rangoons, veggie Thai spring rolls and egg drop soup for appetizers. The crab rangoon with cream cheese and crab was smooth and tasty. Spring rolls were fresh and crispy. Egg drop soup was non-traditional, more veggies and broth, yet very tasty. For dinner: Chicken Pad Garpow, spicy Thai basil sauce was a perfect combo with Thai basil, fish sauce and brown sugar. Lots of fresh veggies. General Tso's Chicken was well prepared, crispy on outside and moist inside, ordered 4/5 spicy hot, which was just right. Pork Pad Kee Mao was appropriately spicy and tender with lots of fresh veggies. Snow Pea Beef, ordered 3/5 spicy hot, was tender and well-spiced with crispy veggies. Hot Jasmine and Green teas are available. The menu is robust and servings generous. All ingredients were fresh. The staff was friendly and attentive. The birthday girl received complementary Thai fried bananas and the rest of the party received mango or raspberry cakes. A great place to eat! 4 1/2 stars.

This is a gem in Janesville. The prices are reasonable, and the portions are huge. The staff is really friendly and knowledgeable. The tom yum is some of the best I've had. The ingredients are fresh, and this is probably one of the most vegetarian-friendly places in town.

Chinese Cuisine

The popularity of Chinese food in America can be adjudicated by the appearance of China Town in many major cities in the United State of America. The popular trend of ordering or opting for Chinese take away food isn't unknown in America. Chinese take away food comes to rescue when you're too tired from work or too exhausted to cook. No one can resist the temptation of eating spicy noodles, shrimp, chicken, beef or pork cooked in the sweet and spicy sauce. The cooking method of authentic Chinese food is a lot different compared to what is served in America.

Generally, Chinese use dark meat small bones and organs to cook dishes but this changes when you are eating American-Chinese fusion food prepared using white boneless meat cooked with broccoli, carrots and onions. Back in China, the food is less spicy and oily as they favor steaming and braising method for cooking the most popular dishes. So, if you have a taste for authentic Chinese food, then try finding a real Chinese restaurant in the city. You can also try the most popular fusion Chinese food like Pecking Duck, Chicken Feet, Hot Pot, Shrimp Dumpling Soup, Mapo Tofu, Wontons, Chop Suey, Egg Rolls and not to forget Fortune Cookies.

There are not many restaurants in America serving authentic Chinese food. A little research on Restaurant Listings directory can help you locate the best Chinese restaurants in the city. Chinese cuisine is continuously evolving, and you can find a variety of dishes categorized as the food for lactose intolerant, gluten intolerant, vegan, vegetarian, and diabetic friendly. So, if you have a group of friends with different taste patterns, save the hassle and visit the nearest Chinese restaurant in your city.
