    Nice cozy atmosphere and friendly service. I think I got burned out on Applebee's in the early 90's and basically just drive by them typically in search of something else---but after a movie on Friday night we were hungry and this was close to home---We both decided it was like getting reacquainted with an old friend. The menu has changed a lot since I was last there and I really wanted some meat so I ordered up the standard burger with the pickles and everything grilled right in. I was very good. We took a chance on getting some appetizers as it was late night happy hour. We got the little potstickers which are new...they are small and fried hard and surprise they have chicken and fish inside. This was not good as I do not like seafood in my potstickers AND the husband has a really bad allergy. One bite and I knew he ate an entire one for some reason when I said does this taste fishy to you. He survived and to the server's credit they removed them from the table and our bill. WHEW.....we suggested they actually make it clear that they are chicken and shrimp potstickers as I have never had shrimp in a potsticker previously.

    Coming home to Minnesota from a day trip to see the autumn colors, we were hungry and decided to take advantage if 2/$20. Great choice. Delicious artichoke spinach dip. Our waiter was kind enough to swap broccoli for the chicken to make my meal vegetarian. Delicious coffee. Thanks!

    It's nice when a restaurant corrects a mistake. Recently we did a car side pick up only to discover we received a half salad instead of the full salad we ordered and paid for. The manager sent us a generous gift card. We are very pleased!

    My wife and I visited this location soon after it opened back in 2004. It was a little bit of a mess early on but they have come a long way. We use to eat here about once a month but now try to try new places or go to our old standbys like Pier 500 or Green Mill. I like Applebees because they constantly change up the menu and try to keep things fresh. The wait staff has always been pretty good and we have never had a trip to Applebees that we could complain about. During my wife's first pregnancy were visiting this location at least twice a week. The Doctor told her to eat more so she tried to eat at much dessert as possible. I usually got the the wings or quesadilla while she was eating chocolate cake, or the Maple Blondie Brownie. Cons: One of the worst things you can do at any Applebees is order one of their watered down weak ass drinks. I would rather just order their excellent lemonade then one of their drinks. They must have some corporate policy on making sure their drinks are weak.

    Pros: Better than the Cottage Grove Applebees. Server ID'd me for my lunchtime Sangria. Server very friendly, stated she'd like to sit down and have a sangria with me. Cons: Server stated she'd like to sit down and have a sangria with me. Borderline creepy. Meh, it's Applebees. This location was better than some I've visited.

    I think my visit to this Applebees was doomed from the beginning. The restaurant was busy, but there was no wait upon arrival. We were immediately brought to our table, which was obvioulsy soaking wet with disinfectant. The hostess appeared to notice, but did not say anything or make an attempt to dry it off as she left us at the table. My friend opened his napkin to wipe the disinfectant from the table, and then noticed that the napkin had a large brown stain on it and the silverware inside was dirty. We joked about it and tried to move on with our dinner. We placed orders for drinks, and my friend ordered a water with lemon. The water came back with a lemon, and as a free bonus, a small fly going for an evening swim. Grossed out, he removed the fly and examined the glass more closely, only to notice that one of the ice cubes actually had another fly frozen inside of it. At this point, we were half expecting someone to come out of the back and tell us we were on candid camera. We placed an order for appetizers, the pork wonton tacos. I requested that the tacos be made without onions, but the server didn't know if this was possible. He came back to tell us that it wouldn't be a problem to serve the appetizers without onions. Ten minutes later, the tacos were delivered, complete with the onions. At this point, I just wanted to get out of the restaurant, but unfortunately we were still hungry and had to wait for our food. Another server brought us our food, and as she placed my burger on the table, she knocked my full glass of Sprite all over my lap. The bright side to this was that the Sprite spilled all over, so the server had to replace everyone's silverware, so now at least we had cleaner silverware and napkins. All the while, the manager was visiting tables asking how everyone's night was going. Strangely, she skipped our table...I wonder why? After the meal was over, the server was still profusely apologizing for the spilled Sprite. Then he brought the bill to the table and nothing was comped. I wasn't out looking for any free items that night, but I think that because I had to wear my Sprite, I should have at least gotten a free soda, if not more. Definitely not going back here.

    I really want to like this Applebee's but I have a hard time doing it. The menu is good enough however the experience at the restaurant is very hit and miss. Frequently the food is not cooked correctly (like on my last 3 visits) and other times the service is extremely slow or poor. I like some of their specials but I just don't think they really justify the quirks in quality and service. Too bad there is nothing really like Applebee's within 10 miles.
