Won't be back. Ordered a veggie skillet without cheese or tomatoes. The waitress came back to the table and informed me that in the future, they would not make any "substitutions". "They would make an exception this time but would not do it again." I wasn't asking for bacon instead of tomatoes....just leave the tomato and cheese out. Then my mom ordered oatmeal. It came with a tiny container of brown sugar. When we asked for more sugar, we were told we would be charged. Terrible customer service!

We had a very good experience here. Good service, tasty food. I really liked the pots of what appeared to be homemade jam on the table.

Great breakfast place, Stick to the mainstream stuff, Eggs, pancakes, bread, homemade jellies, toast, coffee, you know the basics.

I want to like this place more - but the food was only OK. The Eggs Benedict was probably some of the worst I have had - but the home fries with chopped onions were pretty darn good. Onions chopped fine and cooked with the potatoes. The only good part of my meal. My husband had the buffet and the potatoes on the buffet were dark brown like they had been cooked within an inch of their life. The eggs looked like they had been cooked in bulk in a steam tray - and I am guessing they were. The coffee straight up sucked. Weak and old. The service was fair. I felt a little pushed toward the breakfast buffet and the waitress said to pay her - but we had to go track someone else down and pay them. Honest? I would not go back. Better coffee at McDonald's and comfortable or not - the food was just not very good.

Excellent place to refuel after the Birkie. I've only had the breakfast food, which is very good. Specifically I enjoyed the lumberjack platter and all the parts were succulent, fresh and just how you want a good American breakfast. The interior is all done up in knotty pine with rough-hewn furniture made of logs and branches. Taxidermied creatures adorn the walls. Coopers is a good ol' north woods original. I go back every year. One the smoking ban descends on all of Wisconsin, I may up my rating to five stars!

I love this place for breakfast. Always get their fresh-made-to-order doughnuts. I dip them into one of the 3 homemade jams that they have on each table. Sheer heaven! I have never eaten anything here that I did not like. Service is brisk and efficient.

I really liked this place. Our waitress was very nice and our food came out prompt. I tried the breakfast buffet and liked it. Yes some of the items seemed dry but the offerings were good for 11. I am pretty well traveled - my other reviews back that up - and Coopers was A OK.

The place has a great location and feel to it. I was a big fan of the rustic furniture and decor. Service is usually quick with ordering and getting drinks out, the rest tends to be slow. Their food is really hit or miss, but a hit is generally decent at best. I've been here several times, primarily because we weren't familiar with other breakfast places in the area until recently, but the fact that the food is often over cooked, or extremely slow, and the servers all have had an attitude like they are bothered by having customers is enough reason to go elsewhere. Do a little research for other breakfast places in the area, you will be happier going do a different restaurant, but this restaurant will serve in a pinch.

My family and I decided to try out Coopers for a late breakfast/early lunch on a weekday. Upon walking in the place was cute. Wood everywhere and a really outdoor feel. We loved the chairs and tables. The homemade jam on the tables were delish! Sadly, after we ordered, we were chatting and I noticed that the table was dirty. There was a natural crack in the wood that had collected a lot of old food. The amount of food that was in this crack was nasty. Even the waitress was shocked. Once our food came, we had to ask for things to be heated up. Most of it was cold. The eggs, pancakes, and omelette was great! The hashbrowns, even though we asked for crispy, were raw. The biscuits and gravy, after being sent back to be heated were ok. All in all, while expensive for a simple breakfast, the food was good. The coffee was cold and nasty and the milk tasted as it was on the edge of turning. I was not happy with our service. Even though we ordered 6 meals, since we asked for an extra plate (which we had to send back because it was dirty) we were charged an extra $2. We were not told this would happen by the server until the meal was over and the extra plate was for a 2 year old. When we asked to speak to a manager we were told that there was a supervisor. The supervisor was not helpful. We didn't ask for anything free or discounted, other than disputing the $2 fee, but we wanted them to know about our service (we had to ask other servers for help and to get items), the dirt and food, so that improvements could be made. So we asked for the contact info of the manager or owners. We were told that we couldn't have it. I normally do not write bad reviews but this shocked me. We will not be back. They get one star from me. I can't put less and the raspberry jam is definitely worth one star.

The back room has the northwoods feel you are looking for, but the food tastes like it came from the convenience store. I ordered their "famous buttermilk pancakes". They were bad. I think they were precooked and warmed in the microwave. McDonald's pancakes are better. My wife had scrambled eggs with bacon and hashbrowns. She said it was okay. She thought the hashbrowns were decent. Our waitresses name was Joy-she was anything but. Common courtesy is not her strong point. Want to make some money? Open a good breakfast place in Hayward. The nearest one is The Robins Nest and it is not near town.
