I recently organized a party at Sperino's for a group of approximately 100 people. Kristin and the rest of the Sperino's staff did an amazing job. Kristin was consistently helpful, patient and professional during the planning process. The party coincided with a major playoff game for Blackhawks and when I expressed concern that we might lose a lot of attendees, she suggested that we utilize their projector and big screen to have the game playing in the background. The crowd loved it! The food is consistently good and they do a very nice job in presentation. But most importantly, the wait staff and bartender, Laura, were over the top in their enthusiasm for embracing the crowd. The staff wore clothes that tied into our nautical theme and the bartender created some fun signature cocktails. We couldn't have been more pleased.

I used to come here as a kid and I came here with my family earlier this month only to have the worst food. This place had to have changed hands. The food was awful, head over to a new place that opened, Holy Cannoli, it was way better! I hope this place closes soon, the way they treat customers is appalling.

Something has changed at Sperino's and not for the better. Have eaten here many years whenever we have been in the Lauderdale Lakes area. We took our family of kids and grandkids here last week and were appalled at the food we were served. Mainly the lasagne and broasted chicken. The lasagne sauce was very dark and tasted burnt and overall had a strange taste, which my husband didn't finish. The garlic bread was good, though! My broasted chicken.....two very tiny pieces, and 2 broasted potato wedges, and some veggies. At first I thought I had been given a kid's meal. Needless to say, we will never return. Plus, when my grandson asked for a side of ranch, they charged us $1. The server should always point out there is a charge for "extra" serving of dressing,

The food is expensive and not the great... I was told that they had the best pizza in the area... Wasn't too impressed.

First off I have eaten at many different Italian restaurants all over the US. We ordered our dinner, mozzarella cheese and bruschetta for appetizers, cup of pasta fagioli, then Chicken Parmesan, and if there was anything else around, even White Castle, I would have rather gone there. By far some of the worse food I have ever had in any country. Very poor example of Italian food. I would not recommend wasting your money here! If there was a place to let there be no stars, they would have that.

We came in for some pizza and we were told it was the best in town. We got a regular pepperoni and sausage thin crust. It was mediocre, so I don't know what that says about the other pizza places in Elkhorn...

I give sperinos 4 stars solely based on their pizza. The crust is perfect and the sauce is delicious, I recommend the Italian beef pizza!

My girlfriend and I stopped in here when we were headed over to The Monte Carlo Room. I'm not a big fan of Italian restaurants in general because it takes a real good chef to make Italian food exciting. If the dishes aren't made from scratch, then it's just premade pasta, and frozen appetizers. The pasta and cheese fills patrons at a low cost to the restaurant. That's what I expected and that's what I got. Standard Italian restaurant fare, in a room with Italian decor. Appetizers are frozen and deep fried, but what else is new? We didn't try any pizza, as that is where an Italian restaurant can stand apart from the rest. Service was friendly, if a little slow, but there was a table full of extremely rude patrons that had the staff in a knot. They kept their cool, but it discombobulated things for a few minutes until that table left. It's next door to The Monte Carlo Room, so it's a good place to get a quick bite before enjoying some drinks.

Food was ok, basic, generic italian. Service was prompt and friendly, but the portions were a small for the prices.

I will never ever order pizza from this place again! Not only is it way over priced, the deep dish crust is pre packaged and stored under a prep table. YUCK! It tastes frozen. The pizza sauce is less than mediocre and the overall pizza is not worth the price AT ALL. We decided that we will never eat here again, Dominos is hands down 100 times better than this place. Which is dissapointing since there are not a lot of good restaurants in this smaller town.
