    Unbelieve good!

Decent Chinese food. The eggrolls are admittedly amazing, but the rest of the food simply did not taste authentic when compared to some of the others you might find in the area. Pork fried rice seemed kind of plain, and general's chicken had very little bite to it.

LOVE there food. We brought my parents when come for a visit and they are super picky. They loved it as well. Every dish as so good.

Moy's is my favorite Chinese restaurant in the area. They recently remodeled after a fire which forced them to close for several months. I love their Sweet and Sour Pork and an egg roll for dinner but have tried a lot of other dishes and it's all good. Shrimp and Garilic Sauce, Yum! The Bali-Miki appetizers are fun to grill at the table and the serving sizes are sure to leave you with some to go boxes!

When I was a child every time the family went to dinner with my grandparents, my grandfather insisted on eating Chinese-actually he used a ethnic slur in stating his request, but that is another story. Moy's is a place that has been around forever and even after the post fire remodel looks like it. You won't find any Asian fusion cuisine uppity yuppie dishes, but will enjoy the classic Chinese dishes that you remember from your childhood. Best of all, now that you are all grown up, you can also consume some of Moy's signature knock your socks off tiki bar drinks. The crowd is decidedly older (elderly) as they are likely able to feed off of the huge sized portions for days. The waitresses are attentive and are prone to calling you "hun". When our waitress brought out want seems to be a quart of extra gravy for my dad's egg fu young he was in Heaven.

boy was that server busy! Lots of bang for your buck. (you will be eating for days). The drinks were "enough to knock your socks off" per my mother in law. So of course I got one. Luckily, I wasn't wearing any to begin with or they might have wound up in that guys moo shoo pork next table. Is it the best? No, but since the kitchen fire that burned it all down and the rebuild, I guess it could be worse! Come early like we did (630p) which according to my M in L, was really late to eat.

Moy's is hands down the best American Chinese restaurant this side of the Rockies! They have the most delicious egg rolls I've ever had in my life, and nothing comes close to their hot and sour soup. The service is great and the prices are even better. Love this place!!!

This is THE favorite in the area for Chinese - and that's saying something because there are 3-4 other good places between Lake Geneva, Walworth and Delavan. I'm not a giant Chinese food fan but my wife is and she claims this is head and shoulders above the rest. I usually have "Shrimp Garlic Sauce" and, even though I'm a glutton - there is no way I could eat it all at one sitting. You will definitely take stuff home from this place. The remodeled lounge is nice but very smokey - one day the Tavern League will be slapped across the face and we'll all be able to breathe easier in Wisconsin.

I have to give Moy's a shoutout. If you are from anywhere in southern/southeastern Wisconsin you probably have heard of it or been there. If not, you need to get there. I was introduced to Moy's from family members, and I've been coming here for the last few years with them on occasions. It's a great place to go in groups, as they have pretty large tables and a few dining areas. I order the same dish ever time which is the Kung Pao Chicken. Hot and sour soup is also solid, egg rolls, crab rangoon, etc. The portions are huge, so you could share an entrée. However, there's no fun in that because you're going to want leftovers. This restaurant can get busy so if you are planning to go you should call in and make a reservation in advance. Waiting isn't a big deal though, as they have a separate bar in the restaurant where you can hang out and order drinks while waiting. Service has for the most part been pretty good. Don't wait to ask for drink refills at the table though, as it may be awhile before they come. I grew up about 45 minutes from this area, so it is still a drive to get there when visiting family. I wish the location was closer to Madison, as I'm sure I would be doing takeout with them as often as I could.

My family has been coming here for over 20 years, but this last time the service was awful. The hostess was extremely rude. We had 6:30 reservations for a group of ten. My husband and I showed up at 6:15. She asked why the rest of the group wasn't there yet because it was 'quarter after already' and wanted to know if they were on their way. After we were seated, we met our very unfriendly waitress who acted like it was a burden to wait on us. The only person who was nice to us was the bus girl. My family was really looking forward to taking my parents there for their anniversary but the service was so bad that it ruined our night.

Parents live nearby, have heard about Mo's for years. Finally tried it tonight. Possibly the best Cantonese food I have ever eaten, ANYWHERE. Great presentation, unbelievable quality of food, the quantity was very good (though I will ALWAYS take quality over quantity, but they hit a home run on both). Only wish I did not live two hours away!

Excellent chinese food. Egg rolls are to die for.. they have a hint of peanut butter.. if you like that kind of thing

Disappointing. Ordered beef lo mien for carry out, and from the other reviews I expected a generous amount of fresh veggies. What I got was a big box full of Raman style noodles with very little veggies or meat. For a $14 dish I expect a lot better.

In my youth, this was THE place to get Chinese food. That was twenty or thirty years ago. On my last visit, I waited 45 minutes after finishing my meal before the server came to check on me. Better food (Delavan!) and service elsewhere (anywhere!) do not equate to an outdated reputation. Step up your game and eventually, I might be persuaded to return.

Don't let the sign outside fool you! Inside you will find some of the best Chinese food in the area! I'm not talking about the standard, mass produced cuisine normally reserved for the China Buffets either; Moy's serves REAL food with generous amounts of quality meats, rice, and vegetables! Your meal will even come to the table in a nice looking container much like you would find in the city, the kind and attentive waitstaff will even box up your leftovers into a nice carton. This restaurant is also very clean. Their Kung Pow and fried rice were excellent and my girlfriend liked their Almond Ding. Try it!

We were visiting our doctor in Elkhorn, and at the time I was 9 months pregnant waiting for the baby to arrive and I was craving Chinese food. We decided to check this place out and were extremely pleased! Everything was so good. The egg rolls, the soup, both entrees we ordered. The service was great too! We can't wait to go back to the Dr. for our check up so we can come back and visit Moys again! :)

My family and I have gone to Moys for years. We always ask for Sherry. She takes great care of us. Unfortunately, besides for the busboys, I haven't encountered too many friendly staff members besides Sherry. I was even told by a very rude lady (when I called to make a reservation for my daughter's birthday dinner-party of 8) that they can't guarantee we'd get Sherry. I had to proceed to tell her that I would make reservations elsewhere then. At that point she said she'd put her name down and there shouldn't be a problem. If it wasn't for Sherry, we would just get take out or not bother. Anyone else we have had, was not very welcoming. The food- is very good. Good quality and very delicious. It's by far the best Chinese we've ever had. The Egg Flour soup is very, very good. A nice rich flavor and not "slimy" like my daughter says others are. We both have it every time. The fried rice is amazing (our fav is the beef) and that is a must have every time. Beware of the Garlic Chicken. Get it mild. Its so good but is VERY spicy if you don't order it mild. The Seseme Chicken is very good as well. We aren't fond of the Egg Rolls but other than that, everything we've tried over our 8 years of frequenting Moys has been very good. Even though the prices are a bit higher than "traditional" Chinese, the portions are huge and you take another full meal.back home with you, making the value much better than you think. So this is a definite must try. We drive an hour to dine there and it's definitely worth the trip. I would just suggest making a reservation...and asking for Sherry..

Next time in Elkhorn stop here and quit driving around. The Eggs rolls are incredible with fresh pork and hint of peanut butter. They must sell hundreds of them a week. The Tea is fresh and hot and flavor able - just perfect for a cool fall day! Sherry, our server, was friendly and the service was excellent. The place is clean and looks new. Now for the best part - the shrimp kow was amazing with big pieces of very fresh shrimp in a white sauce. The house chicken was pressed and lightly batter fried with almonds and a fantastic brown sauce. I am coming back.

We were driving around Lake Geneva and was going to stop at a place there, but decided to look on Yelp and we found this place. My daughter and I shared sweet and sour chicken and chicken fried rice. My husband ordered Kung pao shrimp. The sweet and sour chicken was the best I ever had! We also ordered some egg rolls, they were very good! The wonton soup was excellent too!! The service was excellent and the place was clean!

A five star Chinese dining experience. Food smoking hot ( they don't serve anything warm or cool) expect your dish to come to you out of the wok to your plate. Best egg rolls anywhere! Large portions with all meals. Lunch nicely affordable with huge portions and meal includes soup. You must try their hot & sour masterpiece soup it delicious and full of goodies... The staff is expert and knowledgeable of all their dishes! They always give fantastic service remember to tip them 20% minimum always --as they are worth it! Best Chinese food in Wisconsin hands down!!!!

Choosing to eat somewhere else we found ourselves on one of the main trails between Paddock Lake and Janesville. It was the town of Elkhorn. Having never been there before we scanned the streets looking for where most of the horses were at the trough. A restaurant called Somewhere Else appeared to be Somewhat Empty so we looked somewhere else and across the street was what looked like a nice steak and potatoes place called Moy's. As we walked up to the entrance I noticed the lettering on their sign was in a type of Asian font. I thought, "hmmm, could this perhaps be a Chinese restaurant?" Well sure enough it was! Having not dined at a Chinese restaurant in some time it was something perfect for the occasion. They were quite busy. I saw different couples walking out with what looked like large take out orders. We were seated promptly as the greeter who was quite friendly informed us that they still had two tables open. It appeared as though most people made reservations. Not 5 minutes after we were seated there were about 8 people in the foyer waiting to be seated. The 8 disappeared into the restaurant almost as quickly as they appeared. We were waited on quickly and we ordered our appetizers and main dishes. First of all the egg flower soup and the won ton soup were fantastic. The pot stickers were quite large but the flavor was just ok. The egg rolls were not done the way I particularly like them. They seemed to have a slight burnt flavor to them and they were a little bit greasy. But one of our party loved them. Our main dishes were the size I expect when I eat out for Chinese-enough for two meals. Everyone liked their dishes. They were hot, cooked excellently and of good to very good flavor. The rice was perfect and hot. The General Tso Chicken was some of the best we have ever had but also much sweeter and of very low heat (spicey). Since we personally prefer spicier food, we were somewhat disappointed with the low "heat" factor. If you like this you may need to order more heat for your dish or perhaps a hot sauce on the side is available. The table has hot mustard sauce available which was quite good. The servers were very efficient in the cleaning off of our table where each plate that was empty was removed pretty quickly which gave me a slight sense that I was being observed all the while I was eating. It also made me feel a little bit rushed. We personally don't care for this type of service. We would rather they not be coming to the table so often just to remove a plate or two or to fill our glass with water. Ultimately we had some very good Chinese food with very good service and for an excellent price. Cheap as far as we are concerned. Each person ran about 17-25 dollars which includes the appetizers and drinks. As we left we noticed more people emerging from the restaurant with more orders of take-home Chinese. It was dusk and our satisfied group mounted our horses and happily traveled off into the sunset. We returned recently and this time our dining experience was nowhere near as nice. The dishes were still served up quickly and hot but the food was not as good as last time and my wife's dish was pretty bland. I checked it and had to agree. Not much to it. We fed it to our horses and even they seemed to not like it. Point is that this place may be a little hit and miss at times.

Hands down best Chinese I have ever had. I try to make sure I visit Moys every time I visit Elkhorn. For this trip we did takeout, and everything was just as hot and delicious. We usually get the Pepper Beef, Sweet and Sour Chicken, and a third item (usually Shrimp something...). The portions are very big, but equally delicious so everything is devoured pretty quick.

I'm from Wisconsin, but live in California now. My Dad missed me so much that he decided to fall and do some serious damage, and I'm back! What happened? Have my adorable good Yelpers never heard of HIPAA? Let's just say that when the cute orthopedic surgeon came by yesterday, in his hot scrubs, my father was the last thing we ended up talking about!!! He mentioned Moy's Restaurant! I went to Moy's with my brother and sister-in-law, and the food was excellent! My brother ordered the chicken fried rice, my sister-in-law ordered the orange chicken, and I ordered the chicken curry, extra, extra, extra hot! The chicken curry was super hot and spicy, almost as hot as the smokin hot surgeon! I asked our wonderful server if the chef was Chinese. She said that yeah, all six chefs were Chinese, and they could barely speak English. They sure understood the word "hot" though!!!

I went to Moy's for lunch with a few of my boss and a few of my co-workers, the food was terrific! I had the sweet and Sour Shrimp and it was fantastic. The shrimp was huge and the dish was large and tasty. The Chinese restaurant was in good if not great condition, I didn't get to see much of the place since again I was there for lunch and I didn't get a chance to look around. The waitress was ok, though she can and took our plate when it was pretty obvious that we still had food on our plate. Almost as if she wanted us to finish eating and get out asap. We even joked about that a bit. Other then that everything was very well done, and everyone very much enjoyed the food.

Went to Moy's on a whim, no reservation. Got in by sheer luck. On a Sunday, would recommend that you DO have a reservation. Probably same in the evening on a weekday. Have to agree with all the positive reviews above--Moy's is very good, very traditional American-Chinese cuisine. Waitstaff appeared to all be Caucasian, and more outgoing than the usual Chinese waitstaff. The Caucasian was surprising, but, hey, how many Asians are there in that area to hire from. The outgoing was very nice--Our waitress explained, helped choose, warned against too spicey, etc, etc, and, yes, did call me Hun, but frankly those are not bad characteristics in a waitress. All told, my party of 3 had a very nice meal, and a very good time. Tab for the 3 of us was abt $50, including a couple drinks and an appetizer for 2, which was enough for us 3. We shall return.

We just moved to Elkhorn and this was our first restaurant experience here. I'm a huge Chinese food fan and this was great. I was skeptical of the egg roll at first by the description on the menu, but we tried it anyway and it was delicious. Both meals my husband and I got were also delicious. We took the kids because they said it was kid friendly, but I think our kids were a little too loud for the place. Our service was really good and she was great with the kids. We'll definitely be going again.

Moy's is an exellent place to eat when you have a hankering for Chinese. The food is of exellent quality and the portion sizes are definently large enough to where you will not be hungry for the rest of the day. The inside of the restaraunt is clean and the staff are very friendly and accomidating. It's best to arrive early if you don't like crowds, as it will be packed by diner time. The prices are a little on the high side, but you're paying for the quality, so it's more then worth it.

The food is sub par, but this place is the talk of the town! Wait staff consists of rude old women. If you have been thinking about trying it make sure you go in for lunch. Dinner would be fine if you dont mind paying a lot for bla chinse food. If you are in Elkhorn and your craving chinsee food go to Moy's. The other option is taste of china and the last 4 times I ate there the chicken was old and nothing makes me more pissed than serving old/bad food!

My liking for Chinese food didn't begin until I started college, but now every time I return to Elkhorn, my mom and I always make sure we make a trip to Moy's. Their egg rolls are to die for - love the peanut butter ingredient - craving it actually right now!

Disappointing at best. I had the Garlic Chicken which had almost no flavor, slimy mushrooms and a gravy-like sauce. My companion ordered Broccoli with Shrimp and received Chicken instead. We then had to wait for the order to be prepared (while my food grew cold.) It took three requests to get the one glass of soda we ordered. The waitress did not offer to refresh our water nor the soda or tea. The table was dirty/sticky, which the hostess noticed and pointed out but did nothing about. The waitress seemed put out when we requested the table be wiped. We went at 1:30 pm on a weekday so it was certainly not busy. On the plus side, the portions were generous and the prices reasonable.

Chinese Cuisine

The popularity of Chinese food in America can be adjudicated by the appearance of China Town in many major cities in the United State of America. The popular trend of ordering or opting for Chinese take away food isn't unknown in America. Chinese take away food comes to rescue when you're too tired from work or too exhausted to cook. No one can resist the temptation of eating spicy noodles, shrimp, chicken, beef or pork cooked in the sweet and spicy sauce. The cooking method of authentic Chinese food is a lot different compared to what is served in America.

Generally, Chinese use dark meat small bones and organs to cook dishes but this changes when you are eating American-Chinese fusion food prepared using white boneless meat cooked with broccoli, carrots and onions. Back in China, the food is less spicy and oily as they favor steaming and braising method for cooking the most popular dishes. So, if you have a taste for authentic Chinese food, then try finding a real Chinese restaurant in the city. You can also try the most popular fusion Chinese food like Pecking Duck, Chicken Feet, Hot Pot, Shrimp Dumpling Soup, Mapo Tofu, Wontons, Chop Suey, Egg Rolls and not to forget Fortune Cookies.

There are not many restaurants in America serving authentic Chinese food. A little research on Restaurant Listings directory can help you locate the best Chinese restaurants in the city. Chinese cuisine is continuously evolving, and you can find a variety of dishes categorized as the food for lactose intolerant, gluten intolerant, vegan, vegetarian, and diabetic friendly. So, if you have a group of friends with different taste patterns, save the hassle and visit the nearest Chinese restaurant in your city.
