I was very pleasantly surprised with my experience at Culver's. I must admit that as a Missouri native, I just didn't "get" Culver's when I moved to Wisconsin. Every Culver's I drive by always appears packed. People left and right rave about the food. I've had a few meals from the drive thru occasionally, but I never felt like Culver's was something to write home about. A friend suggested to me that Culver's fish was, in her opinion, the best fish fry she's found in Wisconsin. Sure, I'll try it. Wow ... and she was right! I dined in the restaurant (not drive thru) and ate the fried Walleye along with coleslaw, homemade tartar sauce, roll, green beans and mashed potatoes. The fish was just excellent. The roll and coleslaw were tasty, too. The tarter sauce is very unique and different than your typical tartar sauce, but I loved it. Mashed potatoes were okay, and I felt that the green beans were a little too salty for my liking. I now understand what all the hype is about. It's not just a Wisconsin fare fast-food joint that people strangely love, like I originally thought. It is a clean and inviting fast-casual restaurant with homestyle, tasty food. Yes, I would recommend it!

This place is always busier than you can imagine. Honestly, on a weekend night, you might have to walk for over a minute to get through the parking area which must be about the surface area of two football fields...and they need it! This prime location combined with surprisingly efficient service considering how the nearby MacDonald's is staffed with complete dolts. The food is a bit pricey, but delicious. By Culver's standards I give it five stars, but by overall food standards, it is very good and has good service for a chain, but its not extremely imagination in its menu, as with any franchise.

Easy access off interstate I-90/39 just north of the Rock River bridge at Newville, WI leads to the largest Culvers Restaurant in the world. If anyone hasn't tried Culvers food, they really should take time to stop. Culvers butter burgers are the best I've eaten since the mid to late 1950's. They are made fresh, so this "fast food" is not as fast as some other quick stop restaurants. While their burgers are the best ever, I can't eat them every day. Their salads keep me coming back. The menu choices are enough to satisfy any palate. This is real food. Any visitor to Wisconsin should try at least one stop at Cluvers. Even if the stop is made only to taste the Culvers custard, travelers will see why we can tolerate long cold winters and why some of us are a tad bit bigger than people from other states. This Culvers Restaurant is clean, staffed by wonderful people, convenient, and oh, so good. Culvers is the best "fast food" in the world.

Made to order burgers that taste great. I love the custard and wish we had it in the area I live in. Culvers needs to bring their custard to Southern California. Seriously. I'm giving them 5 stars for the custard.

Everything you would expect from Culver's in Wisconsin, yummy custard and friendly service. Or should I say EXTREMELY friendly service. We stopped because it was on our way and we knew our kiddo would be happy. I pack snacks but not lunch when we road trip. I don't enjoy typical fast food and honestly I can't remember the last time I went to a Culver's but I was pleasantly surprised with their salads. I ordered the strawberry fields salad, if I did it again I would skip the chicken and the dressing but good especially for a fast food salad. Thank you for the great service!

WORLD'S BIGGEST CULVER'S! Ok, so the fact that it is the biggest one is pretty much the main reason I stopped in. Had my usual bacon cheeseburger, which tasted like every other Culver's burger. Love the fact that I can get cheese curds in place of fries. For being as big and busy as it was they ran pretty efficiently and got our food out to us fairly quickly. Guess I'll give them an extra star for that and bump them up to 4 from 3. Too full to try the desserts here so I had to stop at a different location on the way home for a malt later.

Culver's is the best fast food hamburger joint out there! We stop at this Culver's, designated the "World's Largest" a few times a month since it is halfway between where we live in Chicago and our place in Wisconsin. The location is at exit 163, easy off and back on the highway. At Culver's, you order at the counter, they give you a number to display at your table where you wait for them to deliver your food. The food is always freshly prepared to order and arrives quickly at your table. I love the Culvers Deluxe Double, which has two hamburger patties, cheese, tomato, red onion, pickle and mayo. The fries are crinkle cut, perfectly crispy and hot. The food quality is consistently great. To wash it all down, I like the Culver's root beer. They offer a different custard flavor every day that usually sounds good, but the hamburger and fries is enough of a pig out for me. The tables and bathrooms are clean, service is efficient. Also, the gas station next door has 0% ethanol gas so we stop there too to fill up with the good stuff.

Think of it as an souped up McDonald's. You order at the register and they bring the food to your table. I liked my cod fish sandwich. My daughter liked her strawberry chicken salad. Also, this place seems to be a community center. Local Rotary meets there weekly, and bike club meets there too. I saw big crowd on Sunday night.

Since getting the "southernmost" Culver's, in our hometown, we've been a frequent fan. Being open later, we "workin folks," find a lot of eateries have their chairs on the tables at 8:00. We love their chili, breaded tenderloin, plus a double strawberry in vanilla frozen custard. It was a great pleasure to dine at a Culver's in the area where they originated!!

This particular culvers is out if this world. This coming from a guy that loves to eat. Not a big fan of fast food joints but this time I'm in awe. Bacon butter burger is delish here and the service I received its like going to Ruth chris steakhouse. Thanks k you

This is a pretty typical Culver's, however their service is top-notch here. This is a regular stop for me between home and Chicago. They deal with so many people coming off the highway that they accommodate pretty much any request. Do you need an ice cream cup to give your dog some water? No problem. Extra waters? Would you like to eat on the grass next to the restaurant? Honestly, I just really appreciate the positive attitudes I receive.

This is the world's largest Culver's! What does that mean? Nothing much. This location is really no different than a typical Culver's - just 3x or so more seating capacity and a few souvenirs for sale. Stopped here en route to the Twin Cities from Chicago. Typical delicious Culver's experience -- and a fun bit of trivia, if you're really into Culver's.

Now, like most chain restaurants, it's going to be really hard to get anything more than a 3 star review. The food is all the same, coming from the same places, with the same standards. When it comes to reviewing a chain, like this here culver's I look at the following: customer service quality of prepared food physical location and uniqueness So first, this culver's is apparently the world's largest culvers...it's not really that big, but good for them. This place is always busy, but a frequent stop for the wife and I on our way up to our lake house. Usually this place is packed and you'll be waiting for a long time both drive-thru and inside. It is one of the last food stops for a while on Rt.39. The employees are always friendly and working tirelessly to what seems to them to be a never ending crowd of demanding tourists. They never acknowledge how long you will be waiting for your food, which does cause some frustration on the customer end. Their food is meh. It's cooked fine...never burnt, or soggy, or messed up & their custard is on point. Usually we only go here for their frozen treats. I would keep it simple with a strawberry shake. Delicious. The place is clean and even though it's crowded it's not overwhelming to get to.

They also have great chicken tenders basket (with fries) Its so Yummy! I usually get a the oreo concrete or a special one of pecans and marshmallow cream. Stopped here on our way to Chicago, and subsequently got yelled at for never having gone to a culver's before. Wasn't too hungry, so I got their mini mixer, which came with up to 2 different toppings (I got brownie and crunch bar). The custard was extremely rich and creamy, and I think I can confidently say that it's the best custard I've ever had. Granted, I've only had custard like 3-4 times, but dayuuum, this was pretty good. My friends all got the butter burgers and fried cheese curds. The burgers looked like heaven, and the cheese curds were surprisingly delicious for a fast food place. The crusty outside and the melted, chewy inside counterbalanced well and added more depth to the simple side dish. Will definitely be back again to try the burgers at some point.

Which of the following do you enjoy? A) Made to order butterburgers B) Anything battered and deep fried C) Quick service D) Life If you answered any of the above, Culver's has got something for you! Hold out for the fried cheese curds here! This one also claims to be the "world's largest" Culver's, so make sure to congratulate them.

Great salads here and they will add extra veggies to them for a minimal charge. Much better than the McDonald's salads I think. I have also done the chicken dinner here and thought it was pretty good. Great fast and friendly service!

My friend's and I stopped off at the nearby subway as our dinner on the go on our way up to the Dells and couldn't pass up the opportunity to get some custard at the "World's Largest" Culvers. After we had our sandwiches, we drove over (it is a short walk, but it was dark) to Culvers. I was immediately shocked by the smell (I don't frequent fast food establishments) and was glad I already ate so I wasn't tempted by the fries. My friends and I just stood at the board overwhelmed and confused. The girls at the cash registers were very patient with us while we asked questions about our options and ordering. I ended up with a Concrete Mixer (like a DQ Blizzard) with vanilla custard, Reese's peanut butter cups, and Oreo. It has been a while since I have had real ice cream/custard and it was heaven. It was probably more than I needed (I got a small) but it totally hit the spot after dinner. If you see a Culver's definitely check out the dessert menu.

"The Biggest Culvers In The World!" Yep - that's this place. It's a good stop between Chicago -Dells to stretch your legs and take a walk around. Food and service were like any other Culvers.

(Written by my 8 year old daughter, Livi) I love Culver's. It has the best burger for a fast food place. The ice cream is so, so delicious. I wish I lived in Wisconsin so I could go everyday. Culver's compared to McDonald's is 100x better. Go to Culver's for an unforgettable meal.

On the way to/from Minnesota to/from Chicago you should check this Culvers out for a quick lunch/dinner. Its nice and clean, quick service, and its really big. They claim to be the biggest Culver's in the world - I'm betting its true because there are not a whole ton of Culvers in the world and this place is gigantic (with ample parking)

Get Culverized (at the largest Culver's in the world)! The menu is huge--I tried the pot roast sandwich, assuming it would be dry and tasteless 30 minutes prior to close.. I was wrong. This is other-worldley for an east coaster...
