They're quite good. Fast, not trying to turn a dollar out of 15¢ like the ones in Madison, and its in a safe spot next door to the state trooper patrol headquarters so. It's not in a shady strip mall with a check casher and an Einstein mobile

Go-to meal: cheddar butter burger, fried cheese curds, and flavor of the day custard. The difference between a deluxe burger and cheddar butter burger is that in the deluxe, you'll get American cheese. And you have to pay 25 cents extra to add lettuce, tomato, etc. to the cheddar butter burger. File that away in your memory bank.
Stopped on our way through. I have never been to a Culvers but noticed they were the local big shot. That being said, I had heard of a Wisconsin butter burger, so it was time to try it out. The out side of the location was very well maintained. We did go through the drive through so I can not speak to the interior. We placed an order with an friendly and helpful voice. Once we paid we were asked to pull forward, so they not pre-made. They were brought out to the car. Only took a couple of minutes. The burgers were fantastic. Hot and juicy. The buns were grilled, soft and melt in your mouth. If I lived in the area, I would prefer this to 5 guys.
Stopped here on our way home from the dells for a quick lunch. The staff was friendly and the restaurant was clean. Our kids each had a cheeseburger kids meal which came with fries or applesauce and choice of a drink (we did milk). Also on the kids bag there is a coupon for a free scoop of ice cream with your choice of toppings! Even on this cold day the custard was amazing! My husband had a butter burger and fries. Everything was tasty!!

I was in town for business and decided to try this place based on yelp reviews. After the terrible experience I figured out the reviews must be old or friends of the employees. My co-worker and I were seated quickly. But it took more than 5 minutes for our server to stop at the table. On a Friday or Saturday evening that's ok. Not so much on a Tuesday when it isn't very busy. She gave us the menus and left. Never asked about drinks. Someone else brought us water tho. The server stopped back and asked if we were ready to order about 3 minutes after stopping the first time. We weren't ready because we hadn't even had a chance to get to the second page of the menu. She came back about 5 minutes later and took our order. We waited for our drinks to arrive. The server came to the table again and asked us if we would like drinks. We repeated our previous beverage order and she finally brought them. A few minutes later our salads were brought out......the first problem was my co-worker ordered an omelette......neither of us have ever had a salad with an omelette but he ate it anyway. The second problem was it was just a plate with lettuce, one tomato wedge & one cucumber slice. Nothing much to it at all. When our meals finally arrived - almost 35 minutes after we ordered, my prime rib was the smallest I've ever seen. It was also not cooked to my request but I didn't want to send it back for fear of waiting forever. The taste was mediocre. My co-worker said the omelette was ok. Service was slow and good was ehh. Would not go hear again. They do not take American Express as a side note.
Stopped for lunch with family on road trip, could tell we were on to something judging by very friendly greeting and the number of local families. Nice and clean, could use a little Wisconsin kitsch! Cheese kurds were fresh and not greasy. The chicken dumpling soup is very satisfying if salty. My Ruben was very nicely grilled and just the right size. My wife had the hot turkey sandwich with buttery mashed potatoes, moist turkey and plenty of gravy. We split some generous slices of homemade pies and got back on the road full. I-94 has plenty of family friendly spots but most are chains, this is clean, good and reasonably priced. Our 'go-to' next time we're traveling.
Omelettes are routinely over done--as in brown and crispy on the outside and dry in the middle. And they taste like cooking oil. Other breakfast items are fine. Coffee is expensive for this area. Very large menu which usually means not freshly prepared. Many daily specials. Friendly wait staff.

I am sorry but this restaurant/bar has TERRIBLE food. I went in for lunch on a Monday at noon and we were the only diners. One customer came in while we were eating...that should have been a sign. I ordered a "homemade" pizza. The diameter was about 4.5 inches and it tasted exactly like the frozen Tottino's pizzas that cost one dollar at the grocery store. The sausage was the frozen kind that is really small, and the cheese was definitely from a terrible frozen bag. And, it was $8! My friend ordered the Buffalo Chicken sandwich and did not have one good word to say about it as well. We also waited 20 minutes for our food, which was surprising considering we were the only patrons. The bartender was incredibly nice and accommodating, but nothing could help the slow kitchen and bad food on this day. I would highly recommend avoiding the Sunset Grill if possible. If you are in Deforest, then go to A&W. Yuck.
waited an hour for baked chicken and lasagna dinners. Chicken was RAW, service was atrocious. Bartender served shots to two very drunken patrons that were next to us. Won't be going back here anytime soon, if ever! Today, I received my Mastercard bill and lo and behold the staff at the Sunset Grill added an additional charge to my original bill. I guess to cover the gratuity that I didn't leave on 10/6. This is a 1st for me. protested to Mastercard and they have removed the additional expense. This place is unbelievable, what a bunch of CROOKS!
HORRIBLE- will never return. I spent a whole season here playing volleyball, spent a generous amount of money there on a weekly basis. When we returned for a Friday night out, the owner (Yes the owner!) was behind the bar and charged us $18 for a beer- we tried kindly refuting the charge, kindly requesting to review the bar tabs in case there was a misunderstanding- she threw the pen at us and told us to bring cash next time. We are honest, respectful, upstanding neighbors, and were treated like trash and basically robbed. We will NEVER return, and will spread the word.

This McDonaldl's is right off I-94 at Exit 126 in DeForest. It's a new building with new bathrooms. The bathroom decor is nice, but on the day I came through here, it was not clean. Service was good, and the food was standard McDonald's fare. There's a convenient but slightly pricey BP next door. I've decided that this is not the best stretch along 94 for McDonald's. They're nicer in the Dells, but gas will be more expensive too.
