The few times I have been there the staff has been rude. One time a patron harassed me openly and the bartender ignored it until it I walked out. The last time I was there I was treated very rudely by the bartender. Will never ever go back. To many places to go to that value your business and treat you as a customer that keeps them in business. This is a place that takes your money and thinks you owe them for letting you come into their business. I am all about local business but they need to get over themselves or get out. There is nothing special about the bar or the food. Spend your money where it is appreciated.

Good, cheap, and plenty. Best Wing Bang for the Buck! Choice of bone in or boneless, these large meaty flappers come with 4 sauce choices. Best deal Tuesdays and Thursdays. I deleted one star for parking, witch can be a problem depending on time of evening, or day of week (see special days above). Get your wing fix on at Maxwells on Main St. in Cedarburg.

Food is okay. Nothing special--burger and fries, wings, fish fry. Nowhere left to sit inside so sat outside no outdoor heaters. We waited 45 minutes out there for our food, waitress ignored us. Went in to check on food (we were ready to walk out) an were treated like we were an inconvenience. Same when I asked for change to pay bill. Staff comprehensively rude. I will eat elsewhere next time.

Am I being unfair? I wanted to order just half order of wings. (I was there on Wednesday) I would gladly have paid a reasonable upcharge but I wasn't going to eat a full dozen wings and I wasn't going home so couldn't take doggy bag. The waitress flat out refused. If I went the next night the blackboard advertised wings for 25 cents each I wasn't asking for that. Just didn't want to waste 6 wings.

I have tried this place twice now, first time was fish fry, it was okay but nothing special, this was a year ago and we felt no urge to try the place again. This weekend was strawberry fest in cedarburg, this is a crazy time here thousands of people walking about. We saw that there was nobody in the maxwells beer garden so thought we would risk another try. Big mistake, I am giving them a generous two stars because the wait staff were at least pleasant even if they did get two out of four meal orders totally wrong. I ordered a veggi burger it was a cold shop bought bocca thing served in a stale roll with a plop of cottage cheese. Everyone else had cheese burgers same stale bread. Very poor, will not be giving this place a third try!

I've been there twice with my family. Once on a week night and once on a Saturday night. The staff is nice and Mondays they have buy one get one burgers! Such a good deal and the burgers are tasty...We got mushroom and swiss and bacon cheeseburger. Fries were small, crispy and fresh. Good selection of draft beers but we got sodas. On the weekend we got fish which wasn't the best but also wasn't expensive... Good place! Will be back!

My wife and I both had the Sunday special today which is the shaved prime rib sandwich. Basically a French Dip, but is served on a toasted rye with your choice of cheese. It was outstanding and we will definitely be back again for it.

Pretty fun place, nothing special with the pub food, beer is good but the wings are great. I wish they had a menu online somewhere because I'd love to place an order for pick up. So please please update the sites you are listed on

My better half and I spent the weekend in Cedarburg and stopped by Maxwells to grab a drink and a bite to eat and watch the World Cup Final. I don't know if it was due to the game or the day (Maxwell Street Days) but they had a special event menu featuring only appetizers and burgers. The taplist is pretty standard and boring although I was pleased they served MKE Brewing Company. While watching 90 minutes on nil-nil soccer, we noshed on some homemade mozzarella sticks which were average and some above average burgers. The 1/3 pound patty was nestled between a great burger bun. I went with the bbq, cheddar, and bacon variety and was pleased. Service was cordial and efficient. Definitely not a destination spot but not a bad place to stop into for a quick bite and a beer.

I have been spending a ton of time in Cedarburg lately and found Maxwells (not hard to find on Washington Ave...), which is a cool older restaurant near the winery. I don't care for much on the menu, but do love the wings. On Sunday's, Mondays, Tuesdays, and Thursday (could be wrong on the days so don't count on this) they have $.30 wings so long as you buy a cold frothy beverage. Who eats wings without a beer anyhow, so no big deal. Good wings with a cool new outdoor patio. I like it. Its cheap and good food. Staff is marginal. A bunch of high school/college girls who could care less about customer service. Just a FYI, be prepared for mediocrity.

Poor service and not great food. They had a limited menu to ensure speedy and efficient service but it apparently was not sufficient. Waitress was nice but apparently inexperienced.

If you come for the beer or wine, not a bad bar.... However, the cocktails are another matter. They are exceptionally weak and way under poured.... which makes this place one of the worst bars in town.

It is pretty good. The wings are tasty and so is the Chili. Filled with locals and its a nice place to catch a bite or a beer if your in Cedarburg.

Great bar in Cedarburg...lots of TVs to catch the game, pool table, and seating area if you are just there to eat. Daily drink specials & the obligatory friday fish fry. Food is OK, but love the atmosphere!

Good, decent bar food and a friendly hometown feeling, even if you aren't a local. This quaint bar always has folks pony'ed up at the bar. The wings aren't hot, but they have good flavor. The fish fry on Friday's is excellent. Also enjoy their skinny ranch fries.

I love the fries! They're really, really good. Also, the chicken tenders are amazing! (kids menu)

Was there a month ago for a friend's birthday meet up. Like their skinny fries. Other than that nothing memorable.
