You've got to love the Pla-Mor. It's one of the quintessential "up north" bars on County D, right on Lake Namekagon. They've got it all: 1. Lots of pier space, so you can arrive via boat 2. Several video games, including Big Buck Hunter of course 3. Fun decor - along with the usual game mounts, you can pay to have a silver dollar engraved with your name and mounted in one of the rafters. There must be several hundred already in place. 4. Hummingbird feeders mounted outside the windows. I love hummingbirds. 5. Surprisingly good food and truly the best chicken wings I've ever had. They're HUGE and plump and all you can eat on Wednesdays. 6. A nice mix of townies and visitors, all of whom are friendly. 7. A large selection of beer - domestic, that is. I think you can get Blatz Light here if you really want it. My husband isn't a demanding guy, but every time we visit the area he insists that we hit up Wednesday Wing Nite at Pla-Mor. I'm happy to oblige!
