Definitely a place to come and have authentic Mexican food. The food was delicious and the service was excellent. The servers were helpful and attentive. We did not wait long for the food to come out. Had 3 of my friends visiting from Mexico, and brought them here for dinner. One of their comments was: "I feel like I'm at home." The cost is right on for the amount and the service. Had the torta and tacos. Can't wait to come back and try the other dishes.

I created a Yelp account specifically so I could write a review for this place. Simply put: best Mexican food I have ever had! I had the Chorizo Gorditos & could probably eat them every single day. The shells were cooked perfectly & there was enough ingredients stuffed on the inside to create a perfect bite each time.

This is the real deal, so much so that my wife wanted me to step in and scout out the place beforehand! We spent several years in Corpus Christi, TX, and we both know that we got spoiled there when it comes to Mexican food. We've found good places since then, but Taqueria Azteca is in another category of good. The menu features breakfast and lunch items as well as dinner items. The house specialties are a little more expensive, as you would expect, but definitely worth the money you pay. The menu also includes a very good variety of items, from typical dishes like tacos and tostadas to somewhat harder to find dishes like bistec ranchero (Ranch-style beef) and pollo en mole (Chicken in mole sauce), to neat surprises, like BBQ ribs. They boast a good range of seafood; we didn't try those dishes. Two things I especially appreciated seeing available were a good offering of soups and tortas (Latin American sandwiches). They also offer a good range of Mexican soft drinks, including Mexican Coca Cola. The staff is bilingual; we had no problems ordering. Seating is a bit limited; 40 people would probably fill the place to capacity, but getting seated was not a problem when we had dinner there. If you are hungry for some really great Mexican food that would compare favorably to some of the best places in Texas (no mean feat!), Taqueria Azteca won't disappoint.

Excellent excellent. Service and speed expected at a taqueria. Order 4 minutes later a beautiful plate of food appears. Great salsa too. Very nice staff. Go there and eat. Beers if you want them.

This place is the real deal! Been looking for an authentic Mexican restaurant since we left Texas three years ago and this is the best we've found. Everything from the refritos to the salsas and tomatillo sauce is prepared on premises, from scratch, using fresh ingredients and old family recipes. Today we had the chicken tacos and super burrito. Great food and great value. At these prices you can make this a regular stop!

One of our favorite Mexican restaurants. Good selection of traditional Mexican dishes and great soups. Service is friendly and quick, prices are reasonable and this small restaurant is a good choice for a mid-level meal.
