Great little place hidden in a strip mall. My wife had lengua tacos, and I had Bistek ala Mexican, which was very nice. Definitely worth checking out.

Orders take out with my husband and family for my birthday dinner based of the other excellent reviews as we are new to the Beloit area. I was very disappointed in what we received. 3 of us ordered off the burrito section and were disappointed that the traditional Mexican sides were in the burrito instead of as a side. My own burrito, the Ranchero was very soggy from the ranchero sauce, felt thrown together with cheap ingredients, was cold when I got it even though we just live 1 mile down the road, and they got my meat order wrong. I will not be returning and will continue exploring other Mexican restaurants in Beloit

I really wanted to like this place... Unfortunately, my meal & my co-worker's meal was very bland. The restaurant is in a strip mall. Staff is very friendly. Wouldn't go back.

We stopped by on the way home from the Dells not sure what expect and it was delicious. The Tapiquena was great and the tortillas handmade. The service was also superior. We stopped by with a party of 10 and they continuously checked in on us. We will be saving this place to our favorites and will definitely come again.

Stopped here when we were passing through town, and we went based on other Yelp recommendations and were not disappointed. The food and service were excellent, and the guacamole was delicious, as noted here. As noted also, the portions are very generous and well-presented. The chicken and veggies for my fajitas were delivered to the table sizzling on a skillet. Very friendly and attentive service. Highly recommend if you are in the area.

Skip Taco Bell and Qdoba and hit up Little Mexico! Fresh delicious and cheap! Friendly clean and fast! Take to go or eat in. We sat and were offered free chips and salsa. Huge drinks! Tacos were on the freshest corn tortillas ever! Swai fish taco special was amazing. Could eat here twice a week! Go!!

The best guacamole I have had unless I make it myself at home. Tostada was excellent, and the salsa that came with our order was spicy and fresh. To Go service was fast and friendly. They are only getting 4 stars because my vegetarian burrito was dry but only because the ingredients were not evenly distributed.

Came in at 10 minutes to close (I know, I know I was hungry) and was greeted warmly as the last two people who were eating in left. I ordered a burrito to go and was pleased at the quick service and quickly took my dinner back to my hotel. Nothing crazy or flashy, just delicious and fast Mexican food. I look forward to stopping in many more times when I'm in Beloit.

Superb place--inexpensive, food's all hand-made and delicious. Was especially impressed with the salsa verde and the flour tortillas. Staff also very friendly. Highly recommended. Bonus: when I asked students at Beloit College where the best place to eat in Beloit is, they immediately said Little Mexico!

Update: The lovely couple that owned L.M. sold it and moved to Texas! As what happens with any business it was for the worst! We went here on Father's Day and the the service was not what it used to be they also painted the walls a very loud orange color (wth!?) so instead of it feeling relaxing and cozy it now feels loud. We won't be going back. Being from Chicago I'm spoiled when it comes to good decent Mexican food and so far in the whole Beloit area this is the best spot so far even better than Casa Grande. The prices are very reasonable and the selection is outstanding! This is our go to spot for Mexican food and the owner is very nice! I hope they stick around for a long time.

We stopped here on our drive from Peoria, IL to Madison, WI and it was AMAZING. I'm originally from San Diego, CA and I know real mexican food. I haven't found it anywhere west of California for the 7 years I've been away. Until now. It was really affordable, the owners were a wonderful couple. So sweet. I hope they become the most popular restaurant in town, they deserve it.

My wife and I ordered some food from her for take-out. It took a long time for them to make the order, but they had some comfortable chairs to sit in while we waited. Additionally, they apologized for the long wait and offered us some free salsa! When we got home to eat our dinners, we noticed they did not include any chips with the free salsa - but I guess you can't complain if it was free. Nevertheless, I did have some chips at home and we tried it. I would rate the salsa a 5/10. My burrito was okay - nothing special, but not really all that bad either. I'd give it a 6/10. The beans it came with were absolutely horrible - nothing like I've ever seen before...less like beans and more like an odd colored liquid soup...0/10 for the beans. All in all, I can't say I was overly impressed. If this was the only restaurant in Beloit, I would probably visit it a few times a year. I have to admit that I prefer both Taco John's and Taco Bell over Little Mexico.

Mexican Cuisine

If you enjoy Taco Tuesday, then you have officially fallen in love with the Mexican Food. The main grain of Mexican cuisine is maize. Also known as corn, maize is grown for the past 9000 years after the crop was discovered by the people in Mayan civilization. Mexican empire flourished when they started growing beans, tomatoes, chili pepper, sweet potato and cactus. Till this date these ingredients are used in cooking authentic Mexican dishes and drinks.

Great use of spices, fresh chili pepper dishes like fajitas, tortilla chips, corn chips, salsa, chimichangas, burritos, nachos and quesadillas are invented in America. But when you are looking for authentic Mexican food then you must find a restaurant in the city that serves Rajas con Queso, Garbanzo in a Guajillo Chile Sauce, Pork Filled Chiles Rellenos, Chiles en Nogada, Molcajete Salsa, Pico de Gallo and Frijoles de la Olla. An eye-opening fact – Mexican don't like their food hot. They use fresh chili and other spices to create a flavor that lingers in your mouth.

Mexican food is great for those who are Gluten Intolerant as they use Corn instead of wheat in most of their dishes. Also, you can easily find many beans based Mexican dishes. Another dish which didn't get similar glory as tacos or nachos is the Mexican hot chocolate. If you love something hot on a chilly day, then go for Mexican Hot Chocolate. On merry days, you can enjoy the authentic Mexican Drinks like Tequila, Mezcal, Tecuí, Sotol, Bacanora, Charanda, Posh O Pox, Puebla and Pulque. Mexican Cuisine is for people who enjoy strong drinks and hearty meals.
