Yum doesn't even begin to explain this place. The staff, food and atmosphere are amazing. This is a perfect place for date night or when you want to get away for a lighthearted time.

Sorry I can only go four stars. Could even be 3.5. Great space. Andrew the bartender was friendly and really good. (Added a star.). Band I really wanted to love this place. Awesome space, and a really cool downstairs tapas bar with a really cool space for jazz. Two issues, noting we had lunch and we will be back to give them another chance for five stars because they hit on so many notes: 1. Wine list is good, but would expect more by the glass and flights (note they are willing to offer a taste); 2. Salad was excellent and they make their dressings, which is reason enough to check them out. But, the fig apple Brie bruschetta was just fair. (Darn!). I hate rinds on the Brie. Yep, some may laugh or call me a snob but I like cheese without its wrapping and I suspect I am not alone. And if you are goi g to cut bread that thick you either need great bread (this was good but not great) or you need to season the bread. This was bland and distracting from the great fig and nicely prepared apple. This is a very good place, with great staff, and a kitchen that is close to greatness. (To be fair, we only tried two dishes. The menu is awesome. We will be back for a second chance and hopefully some jazz.)

I was very excited about this place coming to Beloit, but after having a full dining experience, I would not recommend the entrees. We ordered scallops which needed to be sent back to the kitchen to cook further and when they returned, they were still undercooked and there were less scallops on the plate. We also ordered a medium rare steak which came out rare. I would expect more when you're paying $30 per entree. Although, the wine, appetizer, and soup we ordered were great as well as the atmosphere. Also, in the middle of eating our meal we were asked to move to a different table without reason. Our concerns were expressed at the restaurant but nothing was done.

Our first time there was Friday at 4 p when they open. We waited in the parking lot with four others that came early, they don't unlock their doors til exactly four so don't go early. No hours listed on the doors. We sat at Clara Bo's bar with a delightful bartender, Ryan. Very personable and capable. We had oysters and drinks before dinner which was perfect. A nice presentation! We had a good meal and will return.

Service was friendly, but a bit slow. We had to wait about 15 minutes for our table, even though we had a reservation, but we enjoyed a drink in the bar first. We had oysters rockefeller as an appetizer, which was tasty, but unusually cheesy. The soups were the low point of the meal--the crab bisque is a strange green, and the crab chowder was thin and watery, not a chowder, really. The entrees, however, were excellent. Our server knew the menu well, and directed us towards delicious steaks and pastas. Very nice atmosphere, and interesting choices for wines that you don't see on every menu.

We had my 50th birthday dinner at Clara Bo's last nite. The bar area is very nice and service in the bar was fabulous! The dining area was equally as nice. We ordered our dinner and it took a little longer to get our bread and salads but once received they were delicious. The house dressing is recommended. I had a cowboy ribeye, bacon and egg style. Very unique as I have had many steaks across the country but never in this style! Very Good! Portions were large. My other guests had equally delicious dinners. We went below to the Gatsby bar for an after dinner drink! It is a very cozy place to enjoy company, nicely decorated. I highly recommend dining here. Prices are higher but the quality of the food and ambiance of the place make this a nice fine dining experience.

Went here for the first time last night with my husband and another couple. We LOVED it! The atmosphere is absolutely gorgeous. We were seated right away and our waitress was there to take our drink order. Nice wine list and the appetizer were delicious and our meals were outstanding! After dinner we went down to the Wine bar and had after dinner drinks. We will defiantly be back!

Excellent food and great atmosphere. I had beautifully prepared tuna this time and am looking forward to trying other menu items on future visits. Probably the best restaurant in Beloit at the moment. Here's hoping it is successful!

Wonderful experience all around, may be the best rib eye I've ever had. Wife had the pork chop, outstanding as well. Tuna risotto for our app was very tasty. Highly recommend this restautant for a special night with a loved one.

Quality food and drinks served by a staff that mostly were competent and well meaning. 25 minute wait for what ended up being the worst table in the house. Skip this restaurant if you are a party of two. Too many opening night type mistakes to make me consider a return trip.

Amazing. So happy to find this in Beloit on my visit from California. Great food, excellent service and a phenomenal atmosphere. Highlights: Seared Ahi Tuna, raw oysters, lobster bisque. Try "The Mann" a Moscow Mule with a kick.

Food was mediocre and service was awful. Each staff member more confused than the next. They have no systems in place. And the bartender was a stressed mess causing everyone else to feel the same - including us patrons trying to enjoy a night out.

We went to Clara Bo for the first time last night. We were very surprised at how nice the new upgrades were! We use to go to the old place. All of the staff was very nice and very knowledgeable. We ordered the filet Sinatra and the catfish special both were outstanding! The filet was cooked to perfection and the catfish had a nice flavor. We also checked out the wine bar downstairs and we will definitely go back and spend some time relaxing and trying the appetizers. What a nice change to have this place in Beloit! We will surely go back soon.

We went to Clara Bo's on a Sunday afternoon- reservations @ 2:30. It was very disappointing. The menu was a salad and sandwich menu with a few items containing salmon. Two of our party ordered salmon and the waitress said they only had 4 pieces for the day and another table took 3 of them. Really? There was only 1 other table occupied -I think it was 7 people. Our food took an unacceptable amount of time and when I asked why, the waitress said it was because the other table got their order in first. I questioned how they could possibly handle it if the restaurant was full and was told they do just fine. I'm doubtful. I ordered the tuna steak sandwich and asked for it medium instead of the more common rare. She was not sure the chef would do that. When it came, of course it was rare and I mentioned it to the waitress and she said no it wasn't too rare at all. Again, really? Of the five of us, no one thought their meals were exceptional. They were all judged average. I wouldn't recommend this restaurant.

I really really REALLY wanted to love this place. Beloit has precious few good high end eateries. However, our first visit was lack luster. The space was loud and the wait staff inexperienced and slow. The food was okay, but not amazing. I gave it another try with a friend about a month ago. Our waiter, again, was slow and didn't seem to know the first thing about waiting tables. The space was crowded and loud...more like a sports bar than a fine dining restaurant. The kicker, though? My friend and I BOTH walked away that night with a raging case of food poisoning. Sad, but I don't think we'll be back any time soon : (

Food and ambience was great... server was friendly and knowledgeable... only issue was it took foreeever for the food to come out... pretty sure they went out to the field to hunt the meat! But.... the food was pretty tasty and the drinks were awesome! I'd definitely come back again but with plenty of time!

This is our first visit to Clara Bo. We went as a large group and have to say it is now my favorite restaurant of the Beloit Area. To start with, our waiter's name was Joe, he was extremely friendly and attentive. We ordered the cheese and meat tray and a crab dip. Both were plentiful for a table of 7 and tasted very good. The variety of cheese was perfect and it was a huge serving. As we got our appetizer, we also received two baskets of bread which were fresh baked and a perfect accompaniment I ordered a pasta, so I received a soup or salad to start with. I choose the french onion soup which was the best I have had in over 15 years. The flavor of the broth was perfectly seasoned with a cheese and crouton layer that made the overall soup delectable, truly, something of a masterpiece. Next, I had the Pasta Genovese without the chicken......It was AMAZING. They added fresh vegs and topped it with shaved parmesan, it was perfectly seasoned with a depth of flavor that I would expect at a 5 star Chicago restaurant. For dessert we tried the flourless torte and the molten cake.....both were excellent, but the Dark Chocolate Molten Cake definitely takes the prize. With the combination of ice cream and the rich chocolate oozing from the inside of the cake, it is something that is essential to complete the meal. Overall, we will definitely be back again. The service by Joe was splendid and the food was out of this world. To have a restaurant of this caliber in our fine town of Beloit, we are truly honored.

I am traveling in from out of town on business and this is my second trip to Claire bows. The first time was much like the second little disappointing and not at all a good value. I got the New York strip this time and all the steak tasted fine and was cooked perfectly it had an excessive amount of fat on it. My expectation for a $30 steak in Beloit is much much higher. Service was good atmosphere was okay but the prices are expensive for what you get.

Went to Clara Bo for a casual business dinner. Great atmosphere, very friendly waitstaff and excellent food (the NY Strip was cooked perfectly). All in our group had a very nice time.

Love this place! Have visited a few times, never disappointed. For a drink before &/or after dinner, Gatsby Wine Bar is so classy & stylish. Love the 20's themed specialty drinks and the tapas menu is delish. Beef sliders with brie cheese & caramelized onions. The best! Clara bo has some interestingly delicious entrees. I had the bone- in rib eye steak, cowboy style. Great portion size, had the rest for lunch next day. Steak was tender and seasoned to perfection. Can't wait for my next visit. Sea bass or scallops and for sure one of their scrumptious desserts. Beloit you are blessed!
