Stop what you're doing, 'cus i'm about to ruin... This place has everything. The best beer selection ever. Hands down. i dare you to offer a place with more beer and staff who knows what to recommend based on your taste. Awesome food. I'm still thinking about the amazing Chipotle BBQ Chicken Flatbread. It was perfect. And the staff is STELLAR. These folks sling beer and actually know what they are talking about. Great people. If you like beer like I do, its so awesome to get recommendations from knowledgeable people. Great music too. But wait, there's more! Are you into the world wide web? The WiFI is super fast and there electricity jacks in the bar. Hello, I love you. Seriously, if they had a bed in the back (or front), I would cancel my hotel and stay here. We need this is Cleveland, but only if it comes with the staff. Make sure you say hello to the manager Jessica. She actually cares about the customers and has a passion for beer. If you are in Appleton, WI, you should be here. This is like being at Willy Wonka's factory for beer lovers and people who love beer lovers. If World of Beer was a religion, I would convert.

Went on opening day (3/9) and of course it was crazy! All of the staff was so nice though. I had the steak sandwich and it was amazing! The McKenzies Black Cherry beer was delightful - my new favorite. I'll be back soon :)

Good beer, but I had to wait an hour and twenty minutes for a CLUB SANDWICH. I complained to the waiter, who brought the manager over and she apologized. I got the bill and was surprised to see they didn't even give me a discount on the meal or the beer. By the way I paid $10 for 16 oz of beer. Not impressed.

Very poor service! Waited an hour for food and the wait was NOT worth it. My friends salad had slimy lettuce, my burger was overcooked and not that good.

I loved everything about this place and only wished it were bigger inside. The staff was friendly, attentive and best of all knew their beer! I had a sampler pretzel and a giant Bavarian soft pretzel and it was perfect. And to top it all off our very lovely waitress looked like The Little Mermaid! I can't wait to go back and try more of their beer selection and sample their ample menu :)

Busy on a Sunday afternoon with an entire soccer club of small kids present but service was still pretty good. Games on the tables (connect 4, hungry hippo etc). Sandwiches were excellent (brat sliders - sub kruat for peppers and pesto chicken), and fries were very good (red robin style). Draft selections were fun, my pear cider was flat (but I was thirsty), server didn't ask if it was good and she was busy so we didn't get much chance to say anything. We'd go back for the great atmosphere.

Came here at 2:30pm on a Monday and we were literally (and I mean that in the correct definition and usage) the only people in there, which makes sense and I didn't mind, however the food took a LONG to come out which I thought was weird considering. But man oh man was it worth the wait. Everything was absolutely delicious. We ordered the brat sliders, margarita flatbread, and the pesto sandwich and everything was delectable. I also had a pineapple cider which I enjoyed as well. The kale Apple slaw (a side option I chose with the sandwich) was dry :/ don't order that. So other than the slow service and the dry coleslaw this place is amazing!!

We generally stay away from chain/franchise establishments. Since we have never been to a WOB location, we decided to give it a try. We were not dissapointed. Beer selection is outstanding, both on tap and bottled. Food menu isnt huge but perfectly selected. Food was really good. We had ahi tuna, siracha shrimp and pickle chips. All were great. Owner was personable and involved. We could tell some of the staff were still getting used to their new jobs but overall, everyone was friendly and helpful. We will most likely be back!

This place is a disorganized disaster! The staff is absolutely clueless and clearly under trained. The beer selection is out of this world but the staff doesn't know anything about beer! I had 3 beers and 10 hot wings and paid $30! I don't mind paying more for a good experience but they messed up all of our beer orders and dumped out at least 5 beers from our table alone, at approx. $7 a piece that is going to run this place out of business in no time! Do not join the loyalty club unless you want advertise for them for $15 of your own coin! The wings were tasty though:/

1 1/2 stars for this place. My biggest complaint is the pour of beer I received here. You're called World of Beer, so you better know how to pour a beer properly. The pour of the IPA I received was 95% foam. A few different things could have gone wrong to produce this (beginning/end of keg, differing temperatures, settings not calibrated correctly, incorrect pouring of the beer, etc.), and I'm not sure what the root cause was. However, the beer clearly should have not been served. So when the bartender plopped it down in front of me (did I mention service was so slow I had to go to the bar to get drinks?), I gave him a quizzical look. He responded with - "it will settle down and be fine." Rather than arguing about the bad pour, I took it to my table, took a photo, took a sip (after it had settled and warmed, because who doesn't love a warm IPA with no carb?), and eventually took off, never to return. Again, if this was Applebee's I wouldn't be so surprised at the bad beer etiquette. BUT YOUR NAME IS WORLD OF BEER. All of your bartenders should be Certified Beer Servers, you should get a Cicerone or two on staff, if only to train others. Also, you shouldn't assume that because I lack a neck-beard, I wouldn't know that the pour was improper. It's not like I ordered MGD 64. Never again. (1/2 star bump because our server comped an appetizer for her being so slow, without being asked.)

I have been hearing great things about World of Beer since it has opened. I took the opportunity to meet some co-workers out for dinner there on a Monday night. It was amazing. I think they have one of the best beer selections in the area. The waitress that we had knew the beers and made great suggestions, in fact so good that I just told her to surprise me when I needed another beer. The food was very good, we had the Artisan Sausage Board for an appetizer. This came with 3 types of sausage, peppers, pickled okra and some whole grain mustard for dipping. For dinner I had the Chipotle Chicken Sandwich which was very good! This is not a large bar, so at times it did get a little loud with Monday night trivia going on. However the bar was packed on a Monday night. If you want to go somewhere with great beer choices, great food and a lively atmosphere in Appleton WI, World of Beer is the place to be. I am looking forward to going there again.

Took my uncle here to show him how awesome this place is since he is from out of town and has never been to one before. My first experience here was great, the second one was an absolute embarrassment. After telling him how awesome this place was, I was painfully embarrassed by the absence of service. We were told to choose a spot to sit and after trying to flag someone down for over 30 minutes we left...hungry and upset. Seriously? Nobody could be bothered to get us a water at least? The place only had a handful of people in it. We ended up going to Buffalo Wild Wings where the employees there understand that people like to have a drink and food when they go out to eat.... Will never be back.

This place is amazing. By far the biggest micro selection in Appleton, if not all of Wisconsin. 500+ bottles and maybe 40 taps, mostly west coast beers on tap, really hard to find items. I'll be back here every time we come back!

My husband and I came here on a Saturday evening to try it out. The place was very busy and we happened to get the last open table in the whole place. We each ordered a tap beer, of which they do have a large selection that seems to change on a daily basis, and also wanted to order an appetizer or two. The food selection wasn't very large, but we ended up trying the Mac & Cheese and the Steak Frites. It was okay, but it was so loud, we left after one drink.

Oh no... Bennigans is gone... WAIT.... World of Beer.... OK! Excellent beer and excellent food, I went on a saturday, and I had 3 different IPA's, The Flat Iron Steak Sandwich, and the Irise Creme Cheesecake, all of them were simply amazing, and one saturday nights they have live music from local acts.

Decent selection, but absolutely horrible service. We waited at the bar with empty glasses and wanting to order food for almost 10 minutes. In that time there were no less than 6 people behind the bar, and not one was scanning for empty glasses. Seriously?? For all the "training" that new hires go through there, why not teach them Bartending 101. Finally, we were able to talk to a manager, who was nice, apologized profusely and offered to buy us a round, but by that time, we just wanted to leave. Between that, and the obnoxiously loud music, I doubt I'll be back.

No old style! No bud light! No Wisconsin amber! No leinenkugels! They were either out if these beers or don't offer them. I agree with another review about the servers. They know nothing about their beer. This place will be closed in 3 weeks. Mark my words.

This place was awesome! As far as beer lovers go, this place is a paradise. Definitely one of the coolest places I may have ever been to. You sit down and they bring over an iPad for you to search through pages and pages of beer...with filters such as alcohol %, color (light or dark?), what country it comes from, etc etc. Each of the beer coolers behind the bar are sorted by which country the beer comes from! Even (of course) a cooler for Wisconsin brewed! And they let you sample as many drafts As you want! Even the food was fantastic! Definitely a different selection that the typical bar food, and it was great! And came pretty quick. I'm guessing our server was fairly new as he made quite a few mistakes, but no worries! It didn't take away from the atmosphere or enjoyment of this establishment whatsoever! The only reason it wasn't given 5 stars is because the prices are a bit high, but it's fairly easy to overlook considering how unique this place is (chain or not)!! Will DEFINITELY be back!

This was my first time at a World of Beer. We went on a Wednesday as we heard they had $5.00 burgers. I guess you get what you pay for. It tasted like a $5.00 pub burger, nothing more, nothing less. It wasn't bad, but not memorable either. The waiter kinda tried to talk us out of ordering it, as he said it comes plain with no sides. We ordered appetizers for sides. We had delicious shrimp and a rather simple apple/Cale coleslaw. I loved the beer selection, but I was a bit shocked at the prices. Most beers were 6-8 dollars. I paid $7.00 for a snifter of Central Waters Bourbon Barrel Stout. It was excellent, but in my opinion, over priced. The atmosphere was very loud and social, a fun place to hang out, but I had a hard time hearing all of the conversation at our table. I would come here again to try a new beer or two, but I can't afford to have this be a regular drinking spot.
