The pizza is great, especially the fetalicious! Nickel nuggets are also tasty. Awesome service, awesome drinks, plus they're open late!

Ordered a thin crust pizza.. After waiting an hour for delivery.. I received a THICK crust pizza. I called the only thing they offered is to make another.. Wait another hour! No thanks.. I can't comment on the quality of the pizza since I tossed it out.. Hate THICK crust..

I tried Glass Nickel Pizza today and ordered the Vegg Out with the thick hand tossed crust. This pizza was beyond words in being incredible. WOW! The wait staff was attentive and friendly. This is one pizza place I would recommend.

Thai pie is my favorite. Very fast, friendly service. I've ordered from here several times. Hard to beat a place that delivers ice cream!!!

I would give a rating of zero if I could. Nothing went right or tasted good. Delivery was supposed to take an hour and ended up taking an hour and a half. The delivery guy forgot part of the order and asked if he just give a cash refund. The only reason we ordered from there was for the time that he forgot! We ordered thin crust and the pizzas came with thick crust. The pizza was bland and was cold by the time it got to us. The nickel nuggets are just oil soaked pieces of bread that are disgusting. I'd never order from here again.

It's so sad to me that one of the best pizza places in Appleton had such terrible service! :/ we still order from here for that reason but knowing that we pay wayyy too much for what we get...hubby and I always joke that it will be way wrong for what we ordered. I always ask for extra sauce and they'll mess up what kind (when it's double charged per item) mess up the amounts (three pieces of something in a calzone is NOT double!). This would be ok if they were taking orders from us drunk on the phone but they have a CLEARLY labeled form online of details for your order. Sooo you can't read?? We've called so many times to tell them what's messed up this time and we get a half assed apology with a credit for less than half of what we ordered. I WISH so much that this place would hire people would take pride in their work but until then it will always be a place with amazing pizza that's almost never what you wanted and half baked service. :( sigh

I met my sister here for trivia. They had some good happy hour/trivia time specials. Drinks were well made. And my order of Nickel Nuggets (garlic) were delicious. Service was lacking and orders took quite a while. We were also left to find our own cutlery once our food was actually brought to us.

The Glass Nickel has one of my favorite Appleton pizzas. Yum! I've been there on several occasions, including for Valentine's Day last year. The service is quick and you get a delicious pizza for a reasonable price given the quality. What I love about the pizza is that the crust is sturdy as well as the bottom. There is not too much grease either. There's nothing I hate more than a soggy, oily piece of pizza that is so difficult to hold onto that it's a long, messy journey to my mouth. The sauce could have a little more flavor, but overall, it works well with the rest of the pizza. There was just the right amount of cheese, too, which is not something all pizza places get right. There was no pulling off bits of excess cheese, which was a major plus in my book. We enjoyed a piece of the red velvet cake, too, which was pretty good as far as red velvet cake goes. I will definitely return the next time I'm in A-town!

We really enjoyed this pizza! The thick crust was so yummy ....warm and sof t, not chewy like other thick crusts. The service was very good. There was only one waitress on duty during the lunch tush and she was very attentive.

Pizza was good, delivery was not so much. The whole thing was torn to shreds. Go there, don't let them bring it to you.

Their online ordering system is easy to use and convenient. I have ordered from the franchise in Milwaukee and Oshkosh and have been very impressed with the quality of the pizza. We ordered delivery and within 45 minutes we had our pizza exactly as ordered. Their specialty pizzas are definitely worth a try. My only complaint is the cheese-bread, I felt like 1) I either received the wrong item or 2) the cheese bread is really garlic bread with a tiny amount of cheese in the center. Not sure. Either-way I was still impressed with the specialty pizza we received.

I have been getting pizza from Glass Nickel for a long time and was happy to learn that Appleton had a location. Their pizza is great, as are their Nickel Nuggets! I tend to go for The Ranch, but one fall they had the Chupacabra, which deserved to be a year-round specialty! Lol. This location is the first dine-in spot that I'd been to. We sit in the bar area with the table that has all of these pennies under the table glass, a fun counting event for my kiddo! They do cost more than franchise pizza joints, but I feel you get what you pay for and there are often specials that can get you more bang for your buck! I have to commend this location for being one of few restaurants that deliver to our neighborhood, which often is viewed as off the beaten trail!

Out of towners. Called at 145am for delivery and they still took our order. Speciality pizza was good and so was the cheese curds.

I've been here a number of times now. The pizza is always delicious! I love the thin crust, it's a perfect thickness and is never soggy. The last time we were there we ordered the nickel nuggets for an appetizer and they were amazing! I highly recommend trying them!

Attempted to dine in at glass nickel this evening around 11pm (1 and a half hours before close). After seating ourselves in a round booth near the bar, there was no bartender or servers to be seen. After waiting 15 min- during which I saw a younger boy (possibly a cook?) look out on the bar area several times from the kitchen, and a server in the back glued to her phone. I can't even call this poor service but NO service! The 1 previous time I tried Glass nickel- it seemed as though the employees were having a party in the bar and it was an inconvenience to wait on us for a drink and appetizer. As for tonight- not only did the employees lose the sale for the company they work for- they also lost out on at least a 20% tip for themselves. Employees need to go back to basics on their customer service training. Most likely I won't be returning.

Well, it was my first time eating from Glass Nickel - and also ordering delivery from them. I ordered online - it was a breeze. I received a quick confirmation and also a notification that my order was under way. A very short time later (within 30 minutes) the driver arrived. He had followed my delivery instructions to the correct door of my condo complex and dialed the security. This, in itself, ranks Glass Nickel among the very few for delivery service. The delivery man came to my door on the 3rd floor and was very pleasant and friendly. I had paid the bill online - so, he handed me the pizza and it was all up to me from this point forward. The pizza and appetizer were both still hot (not warm like delivery often provides). I dug into the 1/2 bacon cheeseburger & 1/2 gyro pizza. My daughters dug into the fried macaroni & cheese appetizer. All of our eyes lit up with our tastebuds and hunger quickly being assuaged and guided toward a delightful satisfaction. Everything was really tasty. The crust nice and soft with a great flavor. The toppings and sauces were nicely balanced. Everything about my first experience with Glass Nickel makes me want to order from them again. And, I will.

Absolutely amazing pizza. Never to greasy. Always has that fresh taste. Thick crust is never doughy or to cheesy. You can't go wrong if you go here. Expect to pay around $20 for a large pizza but it is worth every penny.

Have gotten delivery here for years and it always arrives fresh, hot, and tasty! My boyfriend and I decided to eat in late last night for after 9pm happy hour. Our bartender/server was very upbeat and accommodating! We tried the half margharita and half crossing border pizza with thick crust which was delicious! I wasn't too impressed with the cheese curds we ordered but everything else was great. I recommend trying the pesto sauce as well!

We are staying at a nearby hotel. We ordered dinner from here the first night and liked it so much we ordered lunch the next day. For dinner, we had a meatball sub (Bomber) and a chicken parmigian sub. Both were delicious and arrived hot. For lunch, we ordered a pizza, a turkey sub, and white cheddar cheese curds. Once again, the food arrived at proper temperature and was delicious. The delivery workers were very friendly as was the man who took our orders. I highly recommend this place.

So, I am from Chicago and I know that Chicago has probably some of the best pizza around. But, today, my son Nick and I were in Appleton and decided to try the Glass Nickel Pizza Company, well, I picked it.. I saw the Miller Lite sign in the window and just had to go for it... I'm glad I did. This place, not much to look at from the outside, a standard pub style restaurant, as I entered nothing fancy about the interior but it was storming big time in Wisconsin and I wanted a beer really bad.. Okay, we were seated in a booth by a very well stocked bar, and our server was pretty nice, brought us menus right away, brought me my Miller Lites, Thank You server #301! We had buffalo wings as an appetizer which were really good, Nick had Fried Mac&cheese balls.. yuck..:( But the pizza was a hand tossed creation that tasted so good, probably tasted better to me because I was 4 miller lites gone but I loved it..:) They have a really nice menu selection, pizza, pasta, sandwiches, burgers, salads, etc... And the table/booth we were seated at had a glass table top and under it were all nickels.. It looked really cool..:) So, on my next Appleton visit I would return to glass nickel, the pizza was really great, and the beers were even better.. Props to the folks at Glass Nickel Pizza Co. ;)

Their service is horrible. we showed up hungry...Mom, Dad an 8 year old, a 12 year old and an 80 year old uncle. We sat outside. 25 minutes, no wait staff. I went inside and politely asked if we could get some service. During the next 20 minutes 2 tables were seated and waited on, but not us. We asked again for service. 10 minutes later we left. The manager and a waitress were sitting inside the whole time chatting. Others were complaining about the lousy service too. I highly doubt that we will ever go back. I selected one star only because you can't select 0.

Ok despite the other reviews of this place, if your primary thought in choosing a place to eat is a bad neon sign for crappy domestic beer. Or if you cannot tell the difference between bad corporate pizza and a really good handmade one with great fresh ingredients do the rest of us a favor, stay home and stop posting reviews! Ok, so, anyways. I had moved away for over a year from Appleton, and upon my move back, I had seen that there was a new Pie place in town. I finally got around to checking it with my kids. The location used to be a Fiar Tuck's years ago and then a mexican place. The interior had a fresh coat of paint and was a big change from the way I remember it from the Friar days. Has a kind of sports bar feel to it. At the time we got there, we walked in, and then did have to stand there for awhile before someone finally showed up to seat us. One of the cool unique things that I have never seen anywhere else is the bar top and the table tops. All are custom done and each has it's own special design done entirely of Nickels. The kids totally got a kick out looking at the variety of designs. The first thing we ordered was Nickel Nuggets. Fresh ball of pizza dough cut it into squares topped off with a mixture of parmesan cheese and garlic. Which are like eating light puffy airy pieces of dough. I know my kids could have eaten a second order with no problems they are just that good! For the meal I ordered a 10in Cardiac Arrest with the Spicy Marinara sauce. Hands down, one of the best pizzas I have had in some time! The dough was awesome, and the sauce was just unbelievable! I am a big eater, especially when it comes to pizza. But I could not finish it and left with half in a box. My kids both had sandwiches which they really enjoyed. Chicken Cordon Bleu, which was a good sized sandwich. All in all for a family of 3 it was around $30 and that was with not getting any soda, that is probably the one thing that was not to my liking, way over priced. Water was fine and the money that we would have spent on it we used for the appetizer. Since going, I have been craving their pizza ever since. Looking forward to having it again.

Terrible service. Started off with a 20 minute wait, yet when waiting, there were three open tables not filled!? Then after being seated we Had to wait an hour for our pizza and still did not get it, until I had to say no more. First time in my life I had to complain to a manager, and yet manager never came. Oh boy, not worthy of business. Disappointing we had to leave with no food in sight...

Went out for a birthday dinner, thought we'd try a new place. Decor; Dismal, barely a decent make over from the restaurant that use to occupy this location. Atmosphere; nonexistent. Music too loud. Probably to distract you from the food. Food; ordered onion rings for appetizer. Fresh out of the box. Pizza; $17.95 for a Domino's quality pie.. Didn't puke anyway

I've eaten there twice. The first time I ate in, while the second time I ordered out. The first time I was there I had a fancy meat-lovers pizza called the "Cardiac Arrest." Though I felt guilty eating something with this name, it was pretty decent. My wife had another pizza that had veggies, and it was okay too. I've had better, but I've had a whole lot worse. The music was very loud and hard to hear. Though the entire place was nearly empty, we were seated right beside the bar where drunken patrons were playing with a Wii next to our table. Between that, the loud tvs on the wall, and the music, it was next to impossible to hear. The second time that I ordered out, I had traditional pepperoni. It was pretty greasy, dry, and nothing special. I agree with the other reviewer, it wasn't anything different than a Domino's pizza...

Just had the pizza of the month February/March. The Good Year Shrimp. WOWZA!! Herb garlic scampi sauce topped with shrimp, tomatoes, yellow onions, parsley, Parmesan and house blend cheese. Definitely a keeper. Couldn't get enough!

I work at the Madison glass Nikel and I LOVE the Appleton location! They keep upgrading and renovating (bathrooms getting done this month I hear!) and with the new management things are really going great. Service used to be a little hit or miss, but the last couple of times I visited there was such a nice upbeat vibe, servers were great, good still awesome. Wish we had a patio as nice as appleton's!

Service was the stand out here. The staff was very helpful and friendly. Great selection of pizzas. They have all of the traditional options and great options such as BBQ chicken and bacon pizza. Also really nice kids menu and drink options for kids.

The pizza here was delicious!! The crust was perfect and all of the pizza ingredients blended awesomely. Service was speedy and on the ball. Our server was also very informative about the menu and the cool tables decorated with nickels. Really nice bar too. Because of beam placement, the TV's are a little hard to watch so pick your booth wisely if you're there for a game. Only drawback that night was the group of annoying, freshly turned 21 year olds sitting at the bar. But that's not the restaurants fault.

Really good pizza if you know what to get. Can sometimes be greasy, but it's usually fine. It's a bit pricier than most which is the biggest downfall.

Terrible service all around...pizza was ok at best. Waited 5 minutes to be seated in a nearly empty restaurant. When we were seated we were placed next to a dirty table that remained uncleared throughout out meal. The waiter even put our appetizer dishes on the table instead of clearing them....back to the service. We ordered appetizers...the waiter brought the appetizers at the same time he brought out the kid's meals.(the kids were enjoying appetizers too). By the time the pizza came, the kids were done eating. We couldn't wait to get out of there. The waiter brought our check, but never returned to collect payment. We went to the bar to pay and interrupted out waiter entertaining two women at the bar. We're Never going back....horrible.

I must say I am a little partial to glass nickel pizza. My sister was a driver for the west-side glass nickel in Madison. But I am here to review the Appleton. This is part of my review of pizza places in the fox valley region. So on to that. My friend and I met there for lunch. We ordered the nickel nuggets and our standard medium pizza. The nickel nuggets were okay, I am not a huge fan of just eating bread with some Parmesan cheese and seasoning sprinkled over. The pizza was delicious and I enjoyed the ambience of the restaurant. The service was a little slow but it was a slow lunch period on a Saturday. On a side note I tend not to order delivery from there because the first time I did the driver got lost and called me three times yelling at me and blaming me for giving the wrong address. Which I didn't the GPS map system he was using did and he wasn't familiar with Appleton. When the food finally arrived it was cold and the potato chips were so soggy they were more like home fries. I didn't get an apology or a discount for having $30 worth of cold food. So after that experience I wont order delivery from there.
