We sat in the bar area and the bartender was our waitress too, she was really nice and gave us recommendations for beers that they had, the food was good too, with the exception of the salad that had a moldy taste

I had the Crabby Haddock which was Haddock covered in a creamy crab sauce. It was fantastic and was all you can eat. It came with a wonderful baked potato and a salad. I would definitely recommend.

Having family in Europe and visiting regularly, I am quite familiar with GOOD European cooking. This, is not good cooking at all. I had one of the most simple meals, Shepherds Pie. First, I'm fairly certain it was with beef, not lamb. Secondly, it tasted like Dinty Moore Beef Stew. I swear they opened a can, picked out the potato chunks and mashed them, then threw it in the oven to bake it slightly. That's EXACTLY what it tasted like. Then, to top off the experience, my wife, who lived in England for a number of years, ordered the fish and chips. They forgot the chips and brought her out cole slaw. Really... And on top of that, the fish was soggy and not crispy how it's supposed to be. She says the fish in Culvers even tastes better. They disgrace the British flag that hangs in the place with this cooking.

We stayed at the Cambria Suites right next to this restaurant. And since we could just walk over to the restaurant, we chose this place for dinner. We had a big group but the dining area was mostly empty on Sunday night so we were seated right away. The beer menu wasn't anything special--lots of domestics beers and a small handful of craft beers. This restaurant is a British grille and pub (maybe you gathered that from the name but I didn't because I am a little dense I guess) so the menu has some British-inspired items. They still have plenty of typical American fare so don't worry about not being able to find something you like. I enjoyed the French Onion soup and shared some of the fish and chips my husband ordered. The food was enjoyable, but certainly nothing spectacular. If I could give this place 3.5 stars, I would. I just felt like 4 stars was more on a level like--I would definitely go back here again--and I sort of just feel like this place was good. Not bad, but just kind of standard.

My family and I came here to take our family pix in their fire room. We wanted to get a nice pic of the entire family for the holidays and obviously we can't this time of year. They were very accommodating. After our pix we had their appetizers. We had one of everything. The Irish potato soup was awesome. The soft pretzels were really good. I'm surprised that this place has such bad reviews. We are from California, but if we're ever in town again, I will be sure to stop in!

Went to Beefeaters for dinner this week and I ordered the beef (Petite Filet) with mashed potatoes. The steak was absolutely gross, lots of gristle on the meat and so stringy that I couldn't cut it cleanly. For $16.99, I was expecting a lot better piece of meat. I ordered the garlic mashed potatoes and it was from a box. Really!?! For the price, I expect real mashed potatoes. I will never go back.

We went for fish last Friday night. The staff is friendly and the fish was really good. We will be back.

This is a beautiful place. Very nice decor. Pub style bar with TVs. I liked the music choice. We had shepard's pie and chicken parmesan. Both were very good. Served with rolls and cinnamon butter. Wait staff were very professional. No complaints.

Wonderful decor.... Spacy service... No app plates, silverware 8 min. After salads were delivered. Steak had no flavor, potatoes were great. No employee took the time to give me a "beefeaters" experience. Having stone arch beer on tap is a huge plus! Management... Step up training and food quality. I feel like u just stole 65 dollars of my money. I am in the industry... This is what helps me make better decisions at my place!

Let's start with the positive. The atmosphere is pretty good. Staff is friendly. Price is average. Now for the bad. I have been here a few times. They use to have a beef stroganoff that was really good. A friend recommended their Fish Fry. We went once, it was really good. The next time we went it was not that great. There is a company that owns this restaurant along with several others in Appleton, one being Good Company, and another I think is Pullmans. I think there are a few others too, like The Melting Pot (which I love) I went to Beefeaters a couple of months ago and one of my favorite things about both Beefeaters and Good Company was their cheesy garlic mashed potatoes. Well I was VERY disappointed when I was served boxed/dehydrated mashed potatoes. They were awful! I was hoping this was isolated to Beefeaters but when my husband and I went to eat at Good Company last night, the same thing! Boxed Mashed potatoes!! Are you kidding me?? If I wanted boxed potatoes I could have purchased them for .99 cents at walmart and made them at home (not that I would even eat them at home!) I told the waitress about my disappointment at Beefeaters and she agreed with me, she said she just started and is also disappointed in the mashed potatoes. If they cut corners like this, what other corners are they cutting? Also I love spinach artichoke dip, but at beef eaters it was just weird and not so good. I don't think I will be going back to either of these restaurants. :(

My wife and son love their Friday Crabby Haddock. To me the food is good, but nothing that special. They do have an amazing selection of beers too.

Me and my husband go here for fish sometimes and it has always been delish! I've never left hungry or felt like I've wasted money. Service is good! We have even brought in our 1 year old and as I probably wouldn't bring him in at peak dinner times on a Friday night, we've gone earlier and it was just fine. I've never had a bad meal here. My husband likes the place too. My suggestion is to go earlier like at 4:00 ish..it's less busy if you don't like it noisy or have young kids. Booths are pretty private too, which I like

Good food, good prices, awful service. We didn't order, but went to the bar for happy hour. They have great specials --- decently cheap drinks, plus free nachos and wings (which were delicious) but the bartender was terrible. He was not only unfriendly but rude, and walked past our empty drinks 3-4 times. We had to call a waiter aside to finally get a drink. This is my second time to the bar and the second time I've been incredibly unhappy with the service.

This has been my third trip to Beefeaters and by far the most disappointing. Food ok, atmosphere is great but on this trip service was particularly poor. We were there around 4PM on a Sat with out of town guests. We sat in the bar area at a table. The sign when we walked in said the special was a blackened chicken sandwich, which several of our group were excited about. The bartender came over after a while to take drink orders. He did not bring menu's which we had to request because we only had one which the group was sharing. After he brought the drinks, we were seemingly invisible. I had to track down one of the many people standing around to request another drink and request the server come over. The bar area had around 12 patrons and was not busy at all. Finally the server came over and when we went to order the special we were informed the blackened chicken was not the special and the sign was wrong. Food came quick and was ok. Overall, my quick read is we came at a shift change and no manager was on duty. But that is of course no excuse for poor service. Step up your game Beefeaters! For entertaining out of town guests, we will not risk Beefeaters again and will stick with Wild Truffle or Carmella's Bistro.

In from out of town and stopped here. The fish was really greasy and overcooked. When I asked for butter because they served my broccoli completely dry without any seasoning, they brought me cooking oil. Very disappointing for $15 per person. Don't go.

Have never been overly impressed with the food here. Service has always been good, so no fault on that end. Chicken sandwich was dry last time I had it and burger was really well done after asking for it medium. A place to hit up a half way decent happy hour, but not much more than that.

I've eaten at Beefeaters numerous times and have always had a good experience. The have a great craft beer menu and have special selections from England, many unique which you will not see elsewhere. The food is good overall. Typical menu you may see at a Clillis or Fridays, with a few UK traditional options. Service has always been good. The bar area is large and a good spot to socialize.
