I had a great lunch here yesterday while visiting some family in the Seattle area. I'm preggo so didn't get to try the beer, but my husband loved it. The food portions are huge and everyone loved what they had. I got a reuben the size of my face served with a delicious ceasar salad. Hubby got the nachos which are awesome and also HUGE. Enough to share between two for sure. I wish I lived closer because I would definitely come back for the happy hour when i can drink again!

The chicken wings and fries are great. $7 for 6 beer sampler is fantastic. There are plenty of room to hang out indoor and outdoor. Very nice place for happy hour and bar food.

I decided to give the Kobe burger at Forecasters a second chance - they came through this time. The bun was fresh and soft - however once again I was not asked how I wanted it cooked. To the kitchen's credit it came out perfect with a nice pink center...which should be a warning to those who like their burgers not bleeding a tad bit. If my last visit hadn't been such a bummer I'd go up to 3.5 stars ... But I'll need one more trip to go up from 3. Beers still top notch and the service this visit was fine - but it WAS Easter Sunday and not very crowded.

Pretty good bar food - burgers, fries, etc., although the prices are a little high for what they are. We've always had to wait at least 45 min - 1 hour for a table, which is never fun. Parking can sometimes be a problem, especially during peak eating times, but then again, probably most dining places in Woodinville are packed. I like their pretzel with cheese sauce and their cheese curds the best.

This is the local beer blast sportsbar. After their remodel, it's now a TV stadium church to the sports gods where they can sling the beer with greater speed, which is the point of a tavern existing on-site at a brewery. The food is inconsistent and kind of trash. You take your chances. Will you get what you ordered? Will your neighbors version of what you ordered be far superior to what you have been delivered? Yes. It's likely. They have fun community events and, in Woodenville, this is the ancient establishment where you can bring the whole family. Maybe the kids can tackle the ropes course while daddy looks on and drinks to excess because mommy doesn't love him anymore. Seems to be the popular choice. Keep your expectations low and send back your food when they screw it up and you'll do ok.

Nope. If you have any food allergies stay away from here. I went here to see a close friend visiting from out of state. She chose this place randomly for a large group to get together. I called in advance twice to ask about specific ingredients. The first person I spoke to was indifferent and told me they weren't sure. I decided to call back on a different day to see if I could get an answer. The second person spoke to was rude. She told me that I would have to be there seated, and then that I could ask a server about specific ingredients. It's really unpleasant to sit at a restaurant and not be able to have anything but a drink. I still came to see my friend but, ultimately there was still no transparency or answers to what I could or couldn't have.

It's definitely pub food, but you won't be disappointed. The entrees here are interesting, each with a good level of imagination and flavor. The staff here cares about what they do and are ready and willing to accommodate. The area around the bar itself is a little cramped but people are friendly and ready to accommodate, while the restaurant itself has plenty of room. The tap selection isn't huge, but there's more than one option for every taste. Enjoy outdoor seating on the deck with a good crowd. It's not difficult to have a wonderful experience here at a reasonable price.

Redhook has become a place people like to go because it is "Redhook." It is a good place to grab a beer and the patio is nice in good weather, but it can get really crowded. The food is alright. It's nothing I will get excited about, but it's good enough. Being a brewery there is a lot of beer to choose from and Redhook makes solid beers. The biggest positive for me is the location on the trail, and my wife and I like to ride our bikes here from Bothell. If you're in the area it's a good place to stop in for food and beer, but I wouldn't worry about making a pilgrimage here.

Microsoft Prime: 2015 New and improved Ambience: 4 Food: 4 Drinks: 3 Value: 3 The forecasters pub is the restaurant attached Redhook brewery. See my previous review here: yelp.com/biz/redhook-ale… . The short synopsis is that you should definitely go for the beer tour, which gives you plenty of drinks and a free glass. In addition, this place is a Microsoft Prime restaurant, which give you 2:1 for food. The only caveat is that the discount doesn't work on 'holidays' this include actual holidays like Christmas and others like Valentine's day. The pub has been recently updated to be a more open and upscale (though it's still woody and bar feeling). The outside seating has not changed, neither has the sky length windows. The food is your basic American fair, all above average though nothing to rave about. The California burger remains great as does the nachos. Add that to the 2:1, it's still a great deal. The special hint about this place is that it's right off of the Redmond bike trail. Many folks (including our friends on this day, with their kids) rode from Marymoor park to the brewery. Not a bad way to spend the day.

I've been here a handful of times, the food has always been decent, but I really have to judge them for this one time. I did pass a message on to whatever contact info they had on their website, and they haven't responded, so I'm going to leave this review. I got food poisoning on March 7th from eating here - the details aren't pretty, but I'm 100% certain it's from eating the cole slaw here. I'll spare you the details. On a better note - The cheese curds are awesome and the beer is good. I'd just avoid any salad, or "uncooked prepped in a large amount easily mishandled" types of foods.

We had to make the drive up to Redhook while visiting Seattle this time to see what more there is than Long Hammer & ESB. (pretty sure that is all we get back home) We were surprised how busy they were for being so far out of the way. With traffic, it took us 40 minutes to drive up on a Friday evening. We were told there was a 45 minute wait, and we strolled over to the bar to wait it out. The bartenders were packed, but they were friendly, cheerful and made time to answer our questions on the different taps available. We both started with the Big Ballard IPA, and had only a few sips when our table was ready... ( maybe 10 minute wait!! ) Our server was great! Very upbeat, and friendly...considering how busy they were, she spent a lot if time helping us pick through the menu and our next round of beers. I had the Blackhook Braised Shepard's Pie and My wife opted for the Redhook Burger. We both had a great meal, food was hot and tasted great. (They need to have some Tabasco on the Tables!!!!!!) It was a great evening out and I'm glad we made the trip up.

This place was crowded even on a rainy day, but a comfortable crowded! Good vibes, happy employees, great cider, and PRETZELS!! Redhook's beer is delicious, and I never knew it before this last trip. Sat at the bar and enjoyed an hour of drinking and apps. What a quick review that sums everything up.

I came here for a quick happy hour drink, which is from 3-6pm. The bartender was super friendly and chatted a bit with me. I was extremely bummed that they didn't have any of their fall seasonal beer on tap, because Off Your Gourd Porter is one of their best brews IMO, aaaaand they were out of a few beers, which is weird because this is at the brewery. Anyway, they do have decent selection of beer here, all of which belong to the company that owns Redhook. I highly recommend the Square Mile Dry Hopped Cider, which is the perfect blend of hops and cider. Parking is plentiful, and they also have a beer store so you can fill a growler, or pick up a six pack of your favorite Redhook beer.

Bring back the damn beer cheese soup! Who's brilliant idea was it to drop it off the daily menu? Remember when Coke tried a new formula? Yeah, that didn't work either! Bring it back!

Went here for lunch today and ordered the classic pub food..The Classic Hamburger. I was a bit disappointed when I found out they had no pickles? ? And...my hamburger arrived barely lukewarm. The hamburger patty looked as if it had been pre-cooked earlier and rewarmed. I would expect a place like Red Hook to make hamburgers fresh and for them to be dripping with juices when they arrive at my table .On a positive note my beer was good.

Met up with a buddy to watch the hawks on Thursday night. I would say the food is mediocre but you get a whole lot of it. I ordered the bbq pulled pork and got a heap on a platter. I say it had to be a pound to a pound and a half. Came with 2 sides and cornbread. The pork wasn't all that flavorful missing some smokiness and the sauce left more to be desired. The beers of course are great as is the happy hour. The staff was helpful and attentive even with a packed house. .

  • Linda S.

It is nice and inviting looking place. The hostesses are friendly as was our waitress. The food is okay too. BUT, there was a wait, which was fine. So we bellied up to the bar and a bartender barked at us that we needed to go to the other side and wait in line "like everybody else". Like we were trying to get away with something by skirting the line inside the weird fence, because we should have expected there to be one small spot from which to order drinks at this massive, wraparound bar. We didn't mind waiting in the line once we found it, but there was no need for the guy to be a jerk about it. Also, the beer isn't cold enough for my taste.

  • Carol G.

Typical brewery sports-bar full of people atmosphere. Prices were about what you'd expect from a brewery and the food wasn't anything spectacular, but there was nothing wrong with it either. Since I'm not a fan of the Redhook beer, there isn't any real draw here for me. It was okay - and if you had a group of friends meeting up to hang out, it's a great spot, but just not my thing.

Beer is still awesome. The menu was changed up after the remodel and I cant say I have had a good meal there in the last year. I really don't understand how you can screw up pub fare. Time for a new chef!

I used to come here frequently for trivia a few years ago and always thought highly of the place. My friends and I would always split the nachos and they were more than enough for two or three people. They've remodeled at some point during the last year or so and I'm not sure if that came with a new cook or what. I came last night and was pretty unimpressed with meal. I got the Seattle Dog which was supposed to be a longhammer IPA brat, sauerkraut, grilled onions, and bacon jalapeno grilled cheese. Sounds delicious right? I chose to sub fries for a caesar salad for 2 dollars. The Seattle Dog had only a tiny bit of visible cream cheese on it for both me and my friend who ordered the same thing. If I'm getting cream cheese on the hot dog, I should be able to both see and taste it. We had to ask the waitress for more cream cheese. There was hardly any detectable sauerkraut and just a lot of grilled onions. I didn't find that the brat itself had a whole lot of flavor to it. I was happy that they at least toasted the bun. It did fall apart horribly though and I had to use a fork to eat the last half of my hot dog. Also, for some reason my hot dog was cut 2/3 of the way down, which I found out when it fell out of my bun when I was eating this. While this didn't affect the flavor or anything obviously, I found this very odd. They gave me a decent amount for my caesar salad but it was underdressed and kind of just tasted like lemon. My friends rueben sandwich was also severely underdressed and there was basically no sauerkraut on it. I'm not liking this theme here. Service was slow and while my food wasn't bad it certainly didn't blow me away. The hot dog was certainly not worth 12 dollars. I've tried coming here on weekends and the wait is over an hour, so I'm not sure why service was so slow on a weeknight that didn't seem too busy. Our waitress kind of just disapeared for periods of time and wasn't anywhere to be seen. I think if I was basing my rating on just my visit yesterday I would give it 2 stars, but since I've had some good food previously I'll give it 3. I don't think this is somewhere that I would go out of the way for, but if someone invited me i would come here again. I just feel very meh about this place.

OK- there is some truth in the less than stellar reviews, but I have a soft spot for Redhook. My last time in Portsmouth, NH, I arrived at Redhook just as they were closing. This made me sad, and determined to get back to Redhook even if I had to go to the left coast. Not the sole purpose of this trip however Red Hook is good times well worth the trip if in the Seattle area. Outdoor seating area is tremendous. Food was genuinely good, servers and patrons super friendly (just part of the beer culture I suppose). Number of brewery only offerings are available for stopping in and a nice selection of schwag in the gift shop.

I am not sure why I thought the fish tacos would be better this time, but I did and they weren't and were even worse than last time. The fish was still super dry, over breaded and over fried. Seemed pretty obvious that they were frozen prior and just refried. Mahi Mahi shouldn't taste that crappy. The flour tortillas were really dry and stale. My boyfriend got a burger and he said that it had gone downhill as well. He said the meat tasted not fresh and was probably a frozen burger as well. The service was better though. Too bad the food has gone completely downhill. Too bad great location. It also was freezing cold in there.

We've been to Forecasters many times before the remodel; in general it was OK but not great. Nothing super compelling on the menu, and it's always crowded and noisy. We went Saturday for the first time since the remodel, and really nothing has changed. The place was busy, noisy, and we had to wait 45 minutes for a table while watching several large parties get seated ahead of us (that arrived after us). Based on other reviews, that seems to be common practice. I was exactly two minutes from walking out of the place when they finally got us a table. Once we were seated, the service was attentive. And the food was again OK but not great. If you like ribs, do NOT order the ribs. Supposedly smoked for four hours, they tasted like they had been boiled with texture to match. You can get better ribs at Costco and cook them yourself. So combine the mediocre food, long waits, and super noisy environment, it's just not a go-to place for us. What it says to me is that there is a need for more brewpubs in the area that aren't this one.

New to Woodinville so checked it out. Nothing special for non-beer drinkers like myself. Food is decent but not great. Portions are small and prices are a little high. BlackBean burger is decent. For a sports bar they are short about 4-5 more TV's. I would come here for games but clearly that is not their target audience which is odd because by the looks of the place it seems like they are trying to be that sports hang out. Plenty of seating for big groups and a GREAT setting in the Woodinville valley. Its appeal to cyclist is clear as you can be on the trail and stop for lunch and then get back at it. I think the beer sampler looks cool and well priced. Reminds of the brewery next to the Mariners downtown where the food is average at best but clearly a good beer spot. Bar looks like it seats many.

For the beer - 4.5. I started out with a Copperhook, and then did a sampler made up of 6 smaller classes. All of the beers were very good, and a couple were fantastic. The only one I wasn't the biggest fan of was the IPA - it was pretty weak, hops-wise, for an IPA in my opinion. To me, it seemed like a normal Pale Ale at most. If you love hops, you might be upset. For the food - 3. I had a German Sausage which was...average. It was a bit too soft for my liking and had no real snap in the casing that I have grown to love in German sausages. The sauerkraut was average, as was the bun. It comes with chips, which seemed tastier than average. They do not have a fryer here, so there are no fries or other fried foods. For the service - 3.5, but you can tell they were working their butt off on a very, very busy weekend due to weather and the area wineries having passport. If it a week day or a weekend without such a crowded locale, I'd expect (or at least hope for) better service. However, considering the crowed, they did well.

I would like to update my review. Last night me and my husband went back because we got a gift card. This experience was much better. We had great service. Our beers and burger were served very quickly and to perfection! The waitress was great. :) Worst service ever. Me and my husband visited for the first time last Saturday hoping we would love this place. After sitting down it took about 25 minutes until someone showed up to help us. After that another 20 to get a beer. The place wasn't even super busy. We sat there for about 30 minutes after being done with our food and drinks until the waitress showed up again. I asked for our check and she brought it to us and went back to the back with a waiter and took forever to come back out. When she finally did I told her we had been trying to get out of there forever and she didn't apologize, just made a bad face. Burgers were good but we will not be returning!!!!!!

After waiting an hour for a table you'll be rewarded with ridiculously slow service and mediocre food. The beer is OK but with so many craft brews available these days they have a lot of catching up to do. If you're 21 and want to hang out then this might be a fun place. For a meal with family or friends, not so much.

Surprisingly lived here for many years, and been to the Red Hook tour but had never eaten here. Our friend suggested coming here for dinner on Friday night. It was actually pretty good. The place was really busy. We all got samplers for beer and I thought it was a good deal and you get to try everything. I had a turkey burger, I've had actually had some dry ones and this one was juicy enough. The food isn't anything special but it wasn't bad and the prices were reasonable. Overall pretty good atmosphere, lots of people, and the beer is decent.

I didn't know they remodeled until we went in over the weekend. What an upgrade! Everything is open and it seems as though it seats a lot more people. Friendly staff when we entered. About a half hour wait, which we didn't mind - luckily they have a shop and plenty around that makes the time fly by. Wish we would've come a little earlier and done the tour! They added a full bar, not just beer and wine anymore. We did a flight and I had the Game Changer. Tasted like Redhook beer so that's a good sign. Their menu has improved A LOT. The smoked meat was unbelievable (Pulled Pork). I got the Chicken Burger and the Chipotle Ranch on it was tasty! An overload of guacamole, so they definitely don't hold back. And I'm SO GLAD they serve fries instead of potato chips, and they look fresh cut - and they tasted great (not soggy!). Everything was great and the service (Chris?) was great. The guy was very nice and happy to be there and in a great mood. Can't wait to come back!

Three words: Beer cheese soup. That is all you need to know. Now go and enjoy the party in your mouth. P.S. you're going to be tempted to order the mac and cheese because of the deliciousness of the beer cheese soup. Don't. It just doesn't translate as well to a pasta sauce. And the noodles are too thick.

The food here is..... okay... definitely room for improvement! I think, though, the reason for going to the pub (apart from the $1 Redhook tour of course!) is probably for some good libations and that is what bumps this to a 3 star review imo. They have several of their brews on tap here and a nice variety to order as well. After taking my brother on the tour, we decided to grab a bit here and he was rather disappointed that the burgers would not be cooked to his temperature preference -- only medium-well here. (During his visit we took him to our favorite burger place for some burger redemption and he had a nice rare burger to his liking to make up for the disappointment here.) I'd recommend just getting something to nibble on and enjoy the beer here... or go on the tour which is really enjoyable and if you're not "needing" more beer and are sober enough, trek out somewhere else for some good grub!

    * Skip the pub and go for the tour * Ok, the brewery tasting "tour" was wonderful ( yelp.ca/biz/redhook-ale-… ). The pub on the other hand was decidedly meh. The turkey B.L.A.S.T. ($11) was described as a "flaky croissant piled high with turkey, bacon, lettuce, avocado salsa, Swiss, tomatoes and mayo." Flaky croissant? Um, no. More like a supermarket soft roll in the shape of a croissant with no flakiness at all. Piled high? Two folded over slices of supermarket turkey roll. Bacon - one small piece. Overall a very disappointing sandwich - particularly considering it took them over 60 minutes from ordering to table delivery. Seriously. Photo: yelp.ca/biz_photos/nytSH… The side caesar salad reminded me of those bagged salads you get at the supermarket and then mix all the packets together. Photo: yelp.ca/biz_photos/nytSH… Definitely skip the food at the pub, and just stick to the brewery tour.

The newly remodeled Forecasters pub is a serious disappointment. The layout is now square, overcrowded, and awkward to navigate. There are more servers than ever, but our service was very poor. Our server spent his time watching one of the games and the food arrived luke warm. The burgers at Forecasters used to be simple (nothing fancy), but tasty. The cold-dry lumps of beef delivered to our table at the new Forecasters pub were a shock! The new look/feel/experience appears to be motivated purely by number of butts you can put in chairs. Reminiscent of the new norm in air travel, the outcome is roughly the same, a bad experience that you would only suffer though when you really needed to. Being Woodinville residents, and regulars for over a decade -- we will give the new pub one or two more chances to improve post-remodel. It would be a bummer if things don't improve -- sometimes you want a bit more restaurant than Teddy's Bigger Burgers, and a bit less than Barking Frog. But if push comes to shove, at least you can rely on each of those restaurants to never let you down. Sorry to say that is no longer true of Redhook. [Update] It took us three months before we could stomach the idea of giving Redhook another chance after our last visit. The food was not as bad as it was last time we visited, though the burgers have not returned to their pre-remodal quality -- the meat is bland and the bun is a joke. Between the mediocre service and food, at this point Redhook will be a last-resort Woodinville restaurant for us. Good news, though, is that in the past few months The Commons has opened and has a really good burger. Also Woodinville Whiskey is opening their restaurant soon!

Let me share a little love for the forecasters pub at the Redhook Brewery. They have a lot of room here, and they need to as it seems to get pretty busy. On a nice day, you'll want to sit outside on the beautiful patio and grab some shade under an umbrella or the trellis. We went here a few times during our stay in the area and very much liked it. For beers, I liked the ESB and the Dunkelweizen best, while my lady loved the Wit and the Longhammer IPA. Huh huh Longhammer. As for food, we had the pretzel which was ok. My wife had the house salad with chicken and blue cheese both times, so I guess she liked it. I had the blackened salmon sandwich on rosemary ciabatta and a California burger with cheddar and bacon. The salmon was the better of the two.

This place has a great atmosphere and wonderful food! I had the BLAST sandwich which was great. I started with the roasted red pepper soup, which was creamy and delicious. it really hit the spot. The restaurant as a whole was a little chilly so I would recommend taking a sweater. The staff was welcoming and didn't rush us. Our waitress was attentive and polite and made it a very pleasant experience. They also have a little shop where you can buy merchandise which is a little pricey but seems to be good quality. When we were there they were advertising for trivia nights and movie nights which all seemed like good fun! We would love to go back and try them out. Overall, this place was a fun lunch date and I will definitely be back.

If you love beer, you should come here. If you don't love beer, you should come here and let the wonderfully crafted brews change your mind. If you still don't like beer after coming here, you are just wrong. The ever changing taps and cask conditioned beers here are one of my favorites in the whole state. I could go on and on about which beers are my favorites and all the reasons to come here, but I wont. You should just come check it out for yourself.

Minus one star for disorganized hosts during busy times- basically every time every day, sometimes very slow service and on occasion other minor issues. Plus four stars for fresh cold beer, an amazing fruit and cheese plate, perfectly cooked edamame, outdoor seating and prime card discounts.

We stopped here for lunch after checking out the wineries near by! It was 12:30 on a friday and we were able to be seated right away! I went with the salmon sandwich on focaccia and my mom-in-law went with the soup and salad! The salmon was really tasty and the aoli added a nice flavor to it! MIL enjoyed the tortilla soup! The interior is really neat, and there are some great big tables for the larger crowds! I skipped the beer tastings since after all the wine I wasn't interested in any more and I'm not a big fan of ales. Our waitress was really great and was kind enough to bring me a pitcher of water to satisfy my over abundant need for water!

Ok, so the Forecaster Pub now has french fries. Yay, but that is the only good thing I can say about this place. My husband and I used to make this a regular stop during our bike rides on the Sammamish River Trail. It was actually the destination and the reason that I bothered to get on my bike! It was always odd to me that they didn't offer french fries. But it didn't matter to me because I always got the flat iron steak with veggies and it delicious. Fast forward past the remodel and now there are french fries as a side. My husband ordered the ESB Burger ($13) and I ordered the Bratwurst ($11). The food came out in a timely manner so we were pleased with that. My husband immediately noticed that the beef patty on his burger was perfectly formed with perfect edges. Like the frozen patties found at Costco. It was confirmed when he bit into it that it was a previously frozen patty. The meat was rubbery, chewy, and dry. Now that we think about it, the waitress never did ask how he wanted his burger cooked. My Bratwurst was good, but you could taste that the sauerkraut was from a can. Not sure that most people would care, but I noticed. The fries were perfectly cut and perfectly cooked. Easily the best part of our meal. While I'm snarking, I'm going to mention that when we walked in, there were 3 greeters standing at the podium. I made eye contact with the middle one and smiled and she didn't return my smile. I then assumed that she was a customer waiting for service or a friend or something and didn't think much of it. Then the greeter on the right greeted us and asked us how many people were in our party. She led us out to the patio and the middle greeter that didn't bother to acknowledge my existence followed the other greter out who was leading us to the patio. ???? She never once acknowledged us. Weird. As far as we're concerned, the latest renovation added a frier and more freezer space (at least for the burgers and possibly for their brand new french fries.) Next time we're on the Sammamish River trail, we'll be packing our own food. TYVM.

After attending an event upstairs, the husband and I came down here to eat before making the trek home. The Pub was super busy and we waited a long time for a table. We decided to wait rather than try to find somewhere else. Once seated, the waiter was mediocre. I understand they were busy, but it took forever to order. Once we ordered our food came super quick, so quick that I'm quite certain it was probably prepared and waiting to be served before we even ordered it. And then the serve only stopped by once prior to dropping the check...and it wasn't even a stop by but a look in while walking to someone else's table. I had a sausage sandwich and the husband had a french dip type meal. My sandwich was beyond mediocre and smothered in sauerkraut. It wouldn't have been so bad if there wasn't more kraut than meat. His sandwich was overflowing with meat, but was also just ok. We both got potato salad as a side. This is where my real issue with the food was. It tasted like they attempted to make their own mayo for the salad and didn't do a good job. And then to make it even better they used waaaaayyyy too much of it. We both resulted to either scraping off extra mayo from potatoes or mixing in mustard to make it even edible. For the price and the wait, I would have expected way better. The service was bad, the food was blah. If you're at the Redhook Brewery, I'd suggest planning on grabbing grub somewhere else before or after and saving yourself a wait and some disappointment.

I've been really excited to try Redhook's Forecasters Pub and I was greatly disappointed. It was about a 45-60min wait and they didn't guarantee a table, but we eventually got seated. We got a few beers, quesadillas, sausage platter, beer sampler, beer float and bread pudding. I use to like Redhook's beer, but that's my own fault for not enjoying that taste anymore. The real problem was the food... for the price, the food was less than mediocre. I didn't enjoy either dish at all. The value for the quality and quantity of food just wasn't there. If it was fabulous food, I wouldn't be complaining. The server walked past us many times and didn't bother to refill our waters or check up on us even though she'd check up on the surrounding tables. Thumbs down. A pro was that we went on a Tuesday and it was trivia night, so it was nice to listen and play along. We didn't join in though because we showed up half way through. That being said, Redhook just isn't for me.

The tour was $1. Just do it. You get a tasting glass if you do. Or, you luck out like we did, take the last tour when they are out of tasting glasses and get a free pint glass. Win. Try 5 beers... get a 6th one to sip and enjoy... learn about the company while standing in one room...and get a free glass. For $1.

My second time eating here. The first time I got the hummus plate, which was just excellent! When I recently went, I got the chicken taco salad and an iced tea. After a fully day of wine tasting, the salad and tea really hit the spot. The salad had a delectable southwest dressing, fresh guac and fresh meat and veggies. My friends and I split the seasonal dessert - the triple berry cobbler - and it was mouth-wateringly delightful. It was really busy when we went so service wasn't very attentive, but there wasn't any ridiculously long wait when we needed anything so overall it was a good meal.

Set reasonable expectations. If you're looking for pretty good beer with semi-healthy food, served by women wearing "I like blondes!" t-shirts, Forecasters Pub is awesome. Sunny day and you want to tie one on? Go sit on the patio. MORE AWESOME. Looking for "flaky croissants?" Hoping to start your meal with an amuse bouche? Go somewhere else. You're in Woodinville - there are 20-30 other places where you can dip your foie. This ain't one of them. The tour is great. You pay $1 to hear someone prattle on about the history of the brewery, show you different stages of toast and then GIVE you a bunch of beer. Emphasis on "give you a bunch of beer." That you paid $1 for. I'm pretty sure I can now lead the tour after 3 years of visits whenever friends come to down. Of course, I'd jump straight to the free beer portion, but that's just me.

I've been a very loyal Redhook drinker for around 15 years and always enjoy going to the brewery. The food has always been average but the the patio is by far the best thing about hanging out there on a summer day. Here's the biggest problem I have about drinking beer here. It was around 85 degrees out last week and we decided to drop in and sit out on the patio for a beer or two. Pitcher of ESB on the way with two pint glasses - SCALDING HOT!!! At the mothership to have sweet nectar fresh off the trees of ESB and you give me two HOT pint glasses. They should have a 3000sq foot garage chilled to around 29 degrees filled with a conveyor of pint glasses ready to go. They were too busy to keep up with the glasses so they were coming straight out of the dishwasher. Dude - that's a bummer. Still a great place to have beer - warm beer but still cool. R

Most of the food is good, especially with the expanded menu since the remodel. You must go for the giant nachos and beer. I'd still be there once a month if the only thing on their menu was the Nachos.

Great place to come and sit outside and enjoy a beer. They make many great beers and have good bar food. One if our favorite places to relax on weekends. Also they are kid friendly.

We live close to Redhook and it always seems like a good idea to eat outside on their patio for dinner during a nice summer night. However, every time we do decide to go I vow that is our last - for one reason - the service is horrible. I have never been to a restaurant - that is so consistent with their poor service. I suppose I could give them 5 stars for being consistent..... For full disclosure I have experienced bad service - when it is just my husband and I, my husband, sister, brother in law and I, and my husband, daughter and I. The waiters are rude, annoyed that you are there. You get your beer - but you need to wait patiently for it until the waiter is ready to ask for your order - almost as if you are there to serve them. So my 1 star rating - defined as "Eek! Methinks not" really means " I have tried going back time and time again - ten times over the past years - and the service is horrible and the nachos are cold."

Eh, this place is OK. It's super crowded & looks and feels like every other national chain of pub restaurants. The menu isn't all that unique & the food I saw served to other tables looked not so good. I recommend abstaining from food & going elsewhere (by foot if you're drunk), unless you're desperate. There is one item on the menu that I recommend trying just because I don't think anyone's life can be complete without trying something like it, but I should admit that I didn't love it (and barely made a dent on finishing it). Drum roll....BEER FLOAT! Yes, beer ice cream in beer. The ice cream was actually really yummy - very sweet & caramelly. The beer however was bitter & dark and neither of those qualities are pleasing to me.

I always end up coming here because of the beer (everyone loves it) but the food is really pretty lacking. It's a great place to stop by if you're on the Sammamish River trail cycling, running, whatever. But the food is pretty mediocre. That's probably ok if all you're really there for is some beer and grub after a long bike ride or something, but if you're just stopping by for dinner, then it's disappointing. The confusing part, to me, is that there's a 30-minute wait on any given Saturday or Sunday night (longer if the weather is bad which means no extra outdoor seating). They use cheap, boring buns for their bugers. I am glad that they serve sandwiches with salad now instead of potato chips, but the salad is pretty unexciting - baby greens and spinach with a couple flavorless balls of mozarella and some rock-hard grape tomatoes. Appetizers/pub grub is definitely the way to go here - the nachos are pretty good, and my California burger was pretty good for well-done. Crunchy exterior with guacamole underneath, cheddar on top, tomatoes, and lettuce with the aforementioned boring salad. My husband raves about their bbq pulled pork sandwich, but it looked like a meager dollop of pulled pork that was dwarfed by the giant egg bun it was served on. The service can be a spotty - our waitress last night was REALLY confused by our request to split the bill 5 ways but to put 2 of those 5 on one card. We do this all the time at other restaurants and the servers don't bat an eyelash..

A good place to hangout enjoying beer and burger. Ordered ESB burger. Taste quite good, like the bacon but the bbq sauce is not that bold. It's a little bit on the lighter side. A friend from North Carolina ordered the pull pork and didn't enjoy it at all. The BBQ sauce is not bold and 'kick' enough. Tried the ESB beer. It's very good. A dash of sweet, and smooth and go down easy. It's very perfect for an occasional drinker like me and don't like a bitter beer. Will definitely go there again to hang out with the family or friends

One would think the recent remodel would have improved the food, but no, it's the same mediocre food that it's been for years. The service is decent. The beer is Redhook (you decide).

4/5 Stars, State Rating. Updated rating as of 10/12/2013. Well, things are beginning to settle down after a major remodel and overhaul. They've hired a first rate manager and seem more receptive to feedback. There's a good selection of beers including guest taps. The atmosphere is pretty good and great on sunny days when you will be able to eat out on a large patio. Service is quick and friendly since the remodel. The kitchen is massively larger than it used to be which helps both on the time it takes to be served and the time to be seated. This is still a works in progress. The burgers need to be better. If you plan on ordering a burger get the Kobe burger. It's the only decent one on the menu, albeit $2 more than the others. Order it pink on the inside and make sure that it is or send it back. (*Note - I attempt to make all my ratings more relevant by rating them within a defined region, be it World, Country, State/Geographical Region or City)

My first impression of the restaurant was that it looked a little generic. Especially considering it was Mother's Day, I really felt that the decor wasn't much of a step up from say, an IHOP, except with a little more character and beer-themed decor. But beer helps. I had their ever-popular California burger, with guac, bacon, cheddar, and garlic aioli/mayo. It was delicious. The potato salad was a little too creamy for my taste. Hooray beer. If you want to take a tour, too, just let your server know and s/he'll get you settled up with your token pass. One less step in the process is always good.

Long time patron, first time reviewer. As a local I sometimes take this gem for granted. Not this year! With a planned kitchen and pub remodel I'm looking for greater things from this wine-valley icon (esp from the kitchen). Beer is consistent, and the tapcount seems to grow. Back patio cannot be beat in the summer. Joined the mug club this year with a buddy - how do you mtch 20oz mugs for 3.25??

A fine brew pub. Beautiful location. We ate lunch outside on a sunny Friday afternoon. Sampled the beers. I need to stop again and take the tour. I need to stop again and sample the beer. Again and again and again.

The food was decent. We went for drinks mostly. Do the tour! It was short and simple but you get to learn a little about Redhook and sample some beers. Plus you get to keep the glass.

While this establishment is still undergoing a remodel, they reopened the deck on Monday and introduced a new menu including smoked meats and fried foods. First off, they were out of a couple of their signature Brews, and the only 2 wines on the menu were from California!! Right in the center of Washington wine country and they don't serve local wines?! HUGE faux pas! The smoked pork shoulder was dry, the brautwurst had a sweetish taste that was indistinguishable and unpalatable. Both were served barely warm. The Brewhouse salad had a tastefree dressing, mushy tomatoes, rubbery hard boiled eggs. The prices are unreasonably high for the quality. Service was slow and the staff is not knowledgeable about the food they serve. they didn't even know how or which foods were smoked on premise ( we were told they had included a smokehouse on premise as part of the remodel ) I know this place will be rocking as the weather improves and the trail users stop in for a brew. That being said, Redhook better step up their game.

Honestly we went here right before they opened the remodeled pub, the new menu was not completely available when we went. We had the pretzels and my husband and I had two different burgers, I can't even remember what my mother ordered. Why am I being so vague about the food? It wasn't that memorable or great, that's why. That being said, I am giving a high review because our service was good especially since it was so crowded when we were there and the beer was outstanding! Unfortunately since we came home my husband bought some audible ale and we both agreed it wasn't that great, but at the brewery it was really good. I guess honestly if we want Redhook Audible Ale again we will have to go back to the brewery to get it. Go for the beer, maybe skip the food.

Went here yesterday with my hubby, and the food was GREAT. I had their California burger, with guacamole, peppered bacon, tillamook cheddar and garlic mayo. He had the chipotle chicken sandwich, which I'm not sure what all was on it. They serve their meals with potato salad and a pickle spear, but if you're not fond of potato salad (like me) then you have the option of adding a side caeser for $1.99 extra. My burger was moist and tender without being undercooked, and hubby's sandwich was the same. The salad was wonderful, but hubby didn't like the potato salad. Our server seemed to be a little off; hubby ordered an ESB and said it tasted funny. After thinking about it, he thinks he was served a Copperhook instead. If that was the case, it tasted fine, but wasn't what he was expecting. I ordered Sprite, because I'm not much of a beer drinker, and it took until she brought us the bill to get me a refill. I was thirsty!!! Overall the food was really good, even if it was pricey. My burger was $16.00, his sandwich was either $15 or $16.00. We ate all our food (except for the potato salad) and we weren't completely stuffed, but felt comfortably full. We will likely be back if we're out in that area, but we won't go out of our way for it.

had the california burger, which was pretty tasty, however i'm a bit disappointed that there weren't any fries here :( i guess they don't have a fryer that's why. we also tried the summer seasonal ale, wit, which was awesome. so awesome I went to safeway afterwards and got a 6 pack for home!

The biggest draws are of course the beer - high quality, good varieties, fresh - and the fun atmosphere. If you like sports, good place to come watch. The reason I only give 3 stars is that I feel the food could be better. On the menu, typical pub fare offered - sandwiches, burgers, salads, beer-friendly appetizers, etc. Many items looked good, but I don't feel the actual food measured up to my expectations. The burger was just so so, and the bratwurst nothing special. They could've at least had some different specialty mustards instead of plain Heinz yellow. I do like that they make some of their own sauces using the beer. Seems they could expand on this concept and include more beer-based recipes. Which brings me to the highlight of the dining experience: Beer Cheese Soup. Probably a zillion calories + fat grams, but SO delish. I like that they have a kids' menu, but there wasn't much selection. The real highlight of the experience? The brewery tour! This must be a best-kept secret, because for a dollar, you get to drink - A LOT. As our hilarious tour operator said, it's heavy on the drinking and light on the tour part. Fun thing to do with out-of-town guests or a group of friends. We learned a lot and got to try some really fantastic beer. And we got free pint glasses to boot! I would recommend doing the tour before the Pub, so you can try several kinds of beer and decide which to order. (If you aren't already schnockered by then that is!) Make sure to have a designated driver.

Terrific, fun place to eat and hang. Busy busy busy on a Sunday morning. We were lucky to get seats at 11:30 am. By 12:30, the wait was out the door. Wait service was friendly and efficient. Lots of help. Delicious dishes, all 9 of us enjoyed! Worth a bit of travel to experience.

Went here last night to see The Tube Kings play. It was our first time ever going but it won't be our last. Even though the place was packed from 6pm-11pm our service was great. Our cute little blonde waitress was working at least 10 tables of large groups. She was pleasant & efficient. We had already eaten dinner at home but decided to split the appetizer Salmon & Artichoke Dip. We substituted grilled pita bread for the rosemary crackers & were very happy with it. Great beers. The Big Ballard IPA puts their Longhammer IPA to shame. The seasonal ale was a Late Harvest Ale. Sorta like ESB with just a hint of spice. Can't wait for next summer to go sit out on their large patio. I do think the side of couscous is pretty lame and the pita pizzas we saw delivered to other tables looked bad.

We ate at the bar for dinner. Excellent beer and my burger was really quite delicious. I've also had the nachos which are, without question, the best nachos I've ever ordered from anywhere. The place is very busy, so it can be hard to get seating in the bar and expect a wait to be seated at a table. The beer was a bit on the pricey side, but the food was pretty typically priced and both were worth the price tag. They also have some excellent live music groups play and the $1 per person tour is a lot of fun. The tour might be the best $1 I've ever spent and I highly recommend it!

I don't understand some of the reviews with only one or two stars... this place is really great. Positive: + Plenty of healthy options on the menu. Salads are delicious and the portabello mushroom sandwich is hearty and super tasty. + The beer selections is always A+++ (of course, it's Redhook!) + Seasonal events here are really fun + Staff is helpful and friendly + Passport Cards/ Entertainment book coupons are accepted here + Redhook Mug-Club benefits are Amazing! + They now have flat-screen TV's to watch the games (bonus!!) + The tours are super fun and a great way to try the different beer selections + The comfy couches by the fireplace make for a really fun and relaxing evening with friends Not-so-Positive - Plan ahead to be early for indoor (and especially outdoor) seating during trivia nights or on hot Summer days. - Not open after 11pm during Summer months - No reservations accepted (again, plan ahead to be early if you want to have a birthday party here) - Ladies' restroom can be hit-n-miss (if ya know what I mean....yuck)

Visiting Seattle for the holidays with family from the area, and came here for the brewery tour, too. The wife and I shared the Chipotle Grilled Chicken sandwich and a half order of Nachos. The nachos were terrific, and the sandwich tasty - especially the thick slices of peppercorn bacon. Substituted the potato salad for the caesar - nothing out of the ordinary, but good. I've had a lot of food at breweries, and my expectations were certainly exceeded with generous portions, and honestly good food.

My family and I headed here tonight for a late, last minute dinner after a long day. I was expecting the worst as I was bringing two small children to a brew pub at 7:30 pm. When we arrived, we were told it would be a 25-30 minute wait. I decided I would give it 10 minutes or so and see how it went. Luckily, a very large party was seated extremely quickly so we were placed at a table within 15 minutes of getting on the list. We were able to place our food and drink orders at the same time, and hubs and I received our pitcher of delicious Copperhook Ale halfway through our wait for food. For the price range, which is comparable with a chain burgers and beer place, the food was good. Definitely a step above the usual BBQ burger with fried onion strings and steak fries with seasoning salt. I was especially pleased with the kids menu choices-great sides, a nice change from the traditional french fries, and a more than reasonable price. Our server was friendly, and attentive without being all up in your face. I expected the worst but was pleasantly surprised with how our meal went, overall. We even managed to finish up and get out of there before they switch over to a bar only at 9 pm-although, if the kiddos hadn't have been there, we definitely would have stayed.

First off, I love Redhook. They make great beer. That being said... I've been here to eat about 4 times now (I'm just down the road). All of those times have been with larger groups, 8+ people. There is always a wait and if you have more than 8 people, you get charged an automatic tip and they will not split your check. It's a PITA. Two of the four times I've been there, their service was HORRIBLE and the waitstaff made it clear how much our group was putting them out. The last two times I went I was really surprised about how much better our service was. Maybe they're finally getting a clue. Other than that, I really like the food and the live music is fun. I'm giving it three stars because normally it's a pain to get seating and the wait is long, plus sub par service from time to time. The cookie on their menu, I think it's about a $1.50, is amazing! It comes out warm on a platter and is huge. Yum.

It's an okay place to hang out if a) you're stuck in woodinville area b) on a budget and c) love beer. Beer: They brew the beer next door so if you want a good cold glass of Redhook beer this is the place to be. Service: Service is generally above average. If they make a mistake they'll make sure everything is made right. Food: Mediocre at best but it does pair well with their beers. Their desert menu has deserts that contains beer which is unique. It's not a bad place to hang out if you like Redhook beer.

Lousy BBQ. Dry. Difficult to swallow. The sauce was the saving grace. That was the only way a person could swallow the meat. The cornbread muffin was like eating a tennis ball. Just as hard. The waitress was good. She brought us a second set of ribs... However, they were literally burned on the bottom just as were the first. The frosting on the cake was that we were seated on the outdoor patio and had frequent, appetite-quashing whiffs of the garage cans. No one cared that our meal was lousy. Steer clear Yelpers.

I thought this place was just fine. It's true that we had three different servers rotate through without any explanation, but that didn't really dampen the experience. The service was pretty fast; the food, though not outstanding, was fine, the atmosphere is fun, it's family friendly, they have outdoor seating, lots of parking, and a belgian style trippel that was not bad at all. I would go back.

We visited 2 local wineries, but no real food served, just cheese and crackers. a relative told us to go to the Forecasters/Redhook Brewery a couple of blocks away from the winery. Both of us quit drinking beer, etc. Our beer drinking friends say the beer here is the greatest in northern Washington State. But we came for the Food!!! Great Food! We had our soda's and Ice Tea. Great Waitstaff!. Yes, they have seating outside

The tour is really fun. Make sure you have someone to drive since there is plenty of beer tasting during the tour. Fun to learn about the different beers.. On the food side...really good too. Make sure to get the beer cheddar soup if it's the special.. I have no idea how they get the best tasting bacon in the world, but somehow they did...make sure it's on your burger.

We purchased a coupon from Living Social at the end of April - $20 for $40 value. After we printed the voucher we noticed that the "fine print" stated it couldn't be used between May 28 and the end of September 5th and that it EXPIRED on October 19. So for a six month coupon we actually only had around 48 days to use it. WTH? Anyway, we managed to use it before it expired and was happy with our food, beer and service. Our server checked back several times and nicely brought me what I asked for (extra napkin and chopped onions). My husband had the blackened salmon sandwich and I had the Cali Burger. His was awesome. What they are pairing with the sandwiches now is a bag of Tim's potato chips and a sour pickle. You can "upgrade" to a Caesar for $2 more. I always find that weird as the romaine salad probably costs out a little less per serving than the chips. Anyway - read the fine print!

Poor Redhook Brewery, you could be so great! In fact, I keep forgetting just how average (or slightly below) you are because I get excited that you have good beer and a nice big deck that is on a really pretty bike path. I always return to you, just for the mere fact that biking to drink beer on your deck sounds so so good. But every time I go I'm reminded that you don't actually put tables outside until Memorial Day, that I always have to wait for a table even though you clearly don't look busy, that your food is just ok, your interior uninviting, and your tables at the bar far to high to actually sit comfortably at.

We stopped in for some food after a 20-mile mountain biking ride in the surrounding area. Let me tell you, there's nothing like the delicious smell of hops in the evening to work up an appetite. The service was decent (a little slow near the end), the beer was good, and the food was decent. I had a California burger which was good, and the dessert we had (some kind of fudgey chocolate cake with ice cream) was delicious. I have no real complaints, but this place doesn't necessarily warrant a "you should come here". If you're in the area, great -- if not, it probably doesn't warrant a special trip.

I thought it was a nice place to wait while I was waiting for the brewery tour. The food was really nothing special. I would recommend this place for grabbing an appetizer and drinking some beer. But would want to go somewhere else for a meal. The service was prompt but not personable.

Come here for the beer, not the food. If you want better food for a decent price, head down the street for some Mexican yummy for twice the quantity AND quality. Otherwise, this is probably the only decent brewery that I have experienced so far on the Eastside.

My husband and I have always had a soft spot for Redhook (Forecasters Pub) because we've had some memorable moments there...unfortunately not for their food. We have always loved their beer but the food has always been seriously lacking when compared to other breweries. We were so excited about the remodel and the hopefully improved menu, but the renovation did little to improve upon things. First off, let me start by saying the new bar is cool and the servers are all very friendly...two pluses. We've eaten there twice since the remodel and both times service has been incredibly slow (Which the waitstaff acknowledged and made up for so no big deal) but the food has been subpar. My husband really liked the bacon steak but the black bean burger (only real veggie entrée- another huge disappointment) tasted just like the frozen burgers from Costco and it was very dry. The fries were good though. The second time I tried a salad because I didn't want to do the burger again. I went with the larger portion and was very disappointed in the size and amount of toppings. It definitely wasn't enough to fill someone up for dinner and when considering it was the same price as my husbands meat entrée with two sides, it was a bit of a rip off. We'll be back to drink beer at the bar, but we can find better dinner options in the area.

Terrible service: Our party of three was told it would be a 35-40 minute wait for a table. We ended up waiting nearly an hour and 15 minutes, with multiple (larger) groups who came after us being seated first. Not cool. The wait staff on a good day is horribly slow. Terrible food: About two years ago the food was decent. Or I should say the california burger was decent. Then they changed their menu and removed the sprouts from the california burger. The rest of the menu is mediocre at best, and terrible on average. Decent beer: If you like Redhook's beer, you may as well get it here. Too bad it takes forever to actually serve you a pint. And good luck if you only want a schooner (10oz). Half the time they'll give you a full pint anyway and then charge you for it. The outdoor patio is decent during the nice summer months, but it's way too crowded and you will wait hours to get seated. The indoor dining room is a mess with a lot of wasted space and poor table layouts limiting the number of customers that can be served. Skip Redhook and go to Purple just down the street.

Beer: good. Food: bad. I've been here several times, and the food/service is never impressive. Their menu is boring, and this past weekend, our food came out cold after a lengthy wait with not so much as an apology. Come for the $1 tour, the beer, or the patio, but eat elsewhere!

The menu is a little small for the size of the place, but that doesn't mean that they don't have good burgers. In fact, when I crave a burger, its from this place. The other treat that I strongly recommend is their stout float, it sounds a little gross, but man, is it guhd.

    (3)
  • Amy S.

Food: Everything on the menu is mediocre...nothing I've eaten here has ever been memorable to say the least. Even though they have burgers on their menu, they don't even serve french fries to go with it...they serve potato chips instead!! I don't know about everyone else, but when I'm going to order a burger, I definitely want fries as well! The only dish I will ever order if I go again would be the hummus and pita plate (which I'm sure is store bought hummus with some olives and pita triangles thrown together on a plate) or the nachos (you can't really mess up nachos right?), but everything else has very little to be desired. Service: Depends...can be very good when it's not busy, but can also be slow when they are busy. Weather usually plays a big factor as to when they are busy...the nicer the weather, the busier they tend to be. Value: The below average food is priced as if it were of above average quality. Ambiance: This is the only area that I can say I truly enjoy! They have a rather large indoor seating area with a lot of tables and at times live music from local bands. In warmer weather they have the outside patio open which is also large. Redhook Brewery is down in the Woodinville valley with a nice natural backdrop of fields and the Sammamish River Trail alongside it.

We went to this friendly pub last night because the pizza place we wanted to try had already closed their kitchen. Maltby and Woodinville go to bed early, even on a Friday night! We got to the pizza place at 9:45 and the pub at about five to ten; the pizza joint's kitchen was already closed and we caught the pub kitchen by five minutes. This pub is owned by Red Hook and is sited with their brewery. You can smell the hops and mash as you drive onto the property. Parking is ample, though the squiggly road could be signed better in the dark. Inside, there are lots of wood tables and chairs, a nice long bar, and a cluster of super-comfy leather sofas in front of a roaring natural gas fireplace. Being Friday night, they were showing a movie; we watched the last 40 minutes of Top Gun, which was fun. Upcoming favorites include Airplane and Space Balls, so you get the idea of what they tend to favor. Apparently they have live music for free on Saturday nights. The kitchen closes at 9 Sunday through Thursday, if you're going to go during the week. We begged for food; I got the bacon cheeseburger and my fiance, the beef nachos. We're not big drinkers, so he got an iced tea and I got my standard Diet Coke -- no lime, as they don't stock them for their beer at the bar. Bummer. Our food came about twenty minutes later and would have been much better if it had been piping hot. The nachos especially clearly had been sitting around cooling for at least five minutes, maybe even ten. My burger was warmer, but it too was not blazing hot. Be aware that the pub does not serve fries, it's potato chips only. The portions were ample and the burger plate was nicely garnished with a watermelon slice, slurped down happily by my sweetie. The service was a bit slow, but I'm not surprised, since we were a nuisance, coming in at kitchen-close and not drinking alcohol. All in all, I want to try it again before I decide that it's always so lackluster. The room is great, and it was busy, so I think maybe we didn't catch them at their best for some reason.

Awful service -- forty minutes after we ordered they came to tell us they were out of soup. The table was dirty and the waitress didn't care. The food was less than mediocre. Avoid this pub like the plague.

Roth first visited the Red Hook Ale Brewery for a food technology conference. While there, he noticed that the attached restaurant was packed on a Tuesday night and thought it would be worth a trip back to check out the food. And of course, drink some beer, too. We had to wait awhile for a table, which was to be expected on a Friday night. Rather than start drinking at the bar before being seated, we decided to wait. Once we were seated, I pointed out the six-beer sampler. For only $5, you get to try six Red Hook brews, including ESB, IPA, Blonde, Chinook Copper, Porter and the seasonal Winterhook. Roth was impressed with the size of the sample glasses for such a cheap price. I ordered a pint of the Blonde, but I also enjoyed the light taste of the Chinook Copper. The menu was fairly typical of a brewery eatery --- lots of burgers and sandwiches. Right away we spotted one of the untraditional items --- hummus with warm pita bread --- and decided to try it was an appetizer. It came served with a heaping pile of marinated green and black Moroccan olives, one of Roth's favorite treats. The hummus was traditional in flavor, creamy with a hint of tahini. For dinner, I decided on the Italian chicken sandwich. Roth opted for the spicy marinated ribeye steak. Both entrees came rather quickly, and both had decent presentation. My sandwich was served open faced on thick ciabatta bread, with melted provolone, marinated bell pepper strips and pesto sauce. Crispy potato chips, pasta salad and seasonal fruit were served on the side. Roth's steak was char-grilled and served on a bed of white Jasmine rice with sauted seasonal veggies on the side. The steak was marinated in soy, balsamic, cerrano chili and cilantro. I was little overwhelmed by the amount of bread on my sandwich, so I decided to eat it using a knife and fork and omitted the top slice. I wasn't impressed with the seasonal fruit on the side, which was just one slice of pale watermelon and an orange wedge. I should have asked for a green salad over the chips and pasta salad, which were fine, but didn't serve the flavor of the sandwich well. Roth's steak seemed to be overmarinated and almost too tender, as if it had been soaking in the Thai-inspired juices a tad too long. He thought that perhaps the restaurant doesn't sell a lot of steaks, seeing as burgers and nachos reigned supreme on the menu. After we ate, we noticed that the restaurant and accompanying bar was starting to fill up with many large groups. I commented that the restaurant seemed to be a great place just for that --- large groups of people who want to socialize, drink beer and enjoy a few appetizers. It's not the kind of place for a quiet or romantic dinner. The food and the service were marginal, at best. However, we were impressed with the beer. But not enough to ever make the trek back up to Woodinville.

This place was freezing cold, gave the worst service I have experienced since moving to the Northwest 7 months ago and the food did nothing to redeem my experience. Sorry Forecasters, I won't be back.

Happened to be back in town on business and wanted a nice cold draft beer after a very long day and knew that I wanted to re-visit Redhook after so many years gone from the Seattle scene. Walked in on a Tuesday night and it was a sparse crowd. Got promptly seated and a waitress materialized to take my order. Asked for an ISP and she asked if I really liked ISP's to which I said I did and she recommended the Imperial ISP. So I took it as an apt recommendation. It was delicious if not a bit strong on the alcohol, but hey! That's what I wanted! Ordered up the wedge of iceberg with blue cheese and bacon crumbles- perfect match and exactly what I wanted. Fresh, cold and tasty. Had another beer later- a porter- and some of the artichoke/salmon dip which was, eh, okay. All in all a decent experience and a good decent relaxing stay. I went back on a Friday night and the place was packed so I didn't go in. On a nice day they have a great outdoor patio where a lot of the bicycle crowd hang after riding on the local bike trail which runs nearby. Parking is a bit of a pain if you have a big car (I had a Dodge Pickup truck), but otherwise clean all the way around including the bathrooms, which in pubs sometimes get to be a bit messy.

I literally work 5 min's from this place, I drive past it at least 5 times a week, maybe even more! ( I don't always drive home the same way - keeps the stalker's guessing!) So I decided on Thursday to give it a go! Partly cause I drink ALOT around this time of year, not cause it's summer... But it's the 4th anniversary of my dad's death day on Sunday! So I try to spend it in oblivion! Not healthy I know! So I decided to give them a shot, I had this planned at about 9 am in the morning! I landed at about 4;45pm, for a cloudy day the bar was sure packed! So I was forced to sit in the restaurant area, close to the bar! And I stalked the patron's waiting to see who would leave first! After only a few min's a couple left, and I swooped in to capture a chair! I had a beer in hand in less than 2 min's, another blonde ale! It is my preference! ( I suspect I like the irony of asking the bartender to find me something blonde!) I also had a very nice small blue cheese salad! Also had a very nice chat with a regular named Hank! Both his daughter's work there, in fact the waitress/server who brought me my salad was his daughter. And his son works at the Issaquah one! I ended up having 2 Blondes and 1 Summerfest Ale and then the salad! Everyone seemed very nice and friendly, the acoustics are pretty loud though, so you may have to shout to hear one another if the place is packed! And it seemed really cold! It was a cold day, but I felt chilled! Maybe that's due to the tiled floors? It's still a very nice place to visit, drink or take a tour! And Ste Chateau Michelle, is literally right across the street! They do not seem to have any Happy hours, but I don't mind the $4 dollar beers I had! I would love to do beer tasting! I also think this would be a nice place for a date! One of the main reason's is no TV! So you really have no choice but to talk to whomever you're with! I also wonder if there may be some hidden aspects to this place?? Could it also be a secret gay bar? Or gay hangout? The only reason I wonder, is there were quite a few, 2 man crew's? Either way, it seemed like a good place for me!

Went here last Saturday night to celebrate a friends birthday. The waitstaff exuded suckiness. Unfriendly, unavailable, and undeniably wishing they were somewhere else. Maybe it was an off night for them. Possibly unusually busy or maybe a round of layoffs just occurred. Whatever the reason I doubt I will be back as the staff definitely affected the ambiance of the place. Also, if you crave a burger or something off the dinner menu, be sure and order it before 9pm. Otherwise, there is a very limited bar menu available. Chips and salsa doesn't really do it for me after I've had a few glasses of wine or beers and want something of sustenance.

So this was my first time ever going to this place and I do not think I will ever return. I went there on a Sunday afternoon after walking with my girlfriends excited to try the place I have heard of for years...The three of us sat up at the bar to grab some eats and some wine with the bartender. From the moment we sat down the bartender seemed angry with the world and was put out that she even had to check our ID's. We greeted her with a nice "hello" and we didn't even get a hello nor a smile in return, just a "can I see your ID's." We were put off by this but were excited to enjoy something cold and refreshing. The drinks took her a good 5+ minutes, and mind you I am not thinking in impatient patron time, I mean real time. Then another 15 for her to take our food order. Our food is delivered in a timely fashion and our courteous and prompt food runner also brought us plates and silverware as our bartender did not. We enjoyed our food and conversation and wanted another round of drinks, she never returned to offer another round, or even asked how our food was. In fact we sat there patiently for a good amount of time finished with our food and drinks, and absolutely nothing. We had to give that annoying wave down just to get our check to get the heck out of there and spend our money elsewhere. All three of us assessed the situation to see if they were understaffed or in the weeds....and they were not. I saw at least three other "more friendly" bartenders pouring beer and wine. In fact the friendly one is the one who told our bartender we needed the check. We did not even get a smile or a thank you after paying. To top it all off she was very friendly and nice to the guy reading a book next to us, but he appeared to be a "regular." The food was delicious and I would have given a higher rating but I felt the service deserved this rating. I have not received such terrible service, at a bar top nonetheless. Maybe the dining room or patio would be the better bet.

It's okay, nothing special, burgers, salads, sandwiches. I had good service. My salmon salad was generous, but not spectacular. The Red Robin in town is probably a better option unless you really want Red Hook beers with your meal.

come here for the beer...only. great location for bikers to stop along the sammamish trail. however, the food and service are really sub-par. our waitress decided to go on an extended break during our dinner and was nowhere to be found while we waited for our food. the food was merely edible. i ordered chili and a salad. the chili was pretty gross. i had 3 bites and debated getting it to-go so i could feed it to my dog, but had second thoughts after experiencing some initial gastric disturbances. salad is hard to screw up. my wife had nachos where were ok - hard to screw that up, too. i've had other entrees there and they are totally mediocre as well.

We have been going to Forecasters for about 10 years. Today we visited again but I doubt we will be back. They said 45 min wait so got a beer and sat by the fireplace...and were asked to leave the restaurant area because it was confusing to the hostess. Oh OK. The restaurant was about 1/3 empty...seriously. (If I were the owner I would be talking to my restaurant manager). We found a bench outside which they indicated we could wait. By the way, a separate wait list for outside than inside. Funny little rule. Used to be people sat where they wanted to and it was cool. Now it is rules and empty tables. We were seated after about 25 minutes and ordered food, appetizer and another beer. Food came and before I could ask for silverware, the server was gone. OK so we asked someone else for a knife and fork please. We almost finished our lunch...then the server asked us if we still wanted our appetizer...sure...we're easy. So they brought the appetizer...humus was good. The bill...$10 for a really small Cobb salad which was not worth $5. By the way, the people at the next table gave up and left before ordering. Bad day...I wish... but this place has deteriorated since being purchased by Budweiser. Too bad...we used to like going there. We'll find another place to have a relaxing, casual lunch. I really do feel bad about it...seriously.

I'll start with the service. I've had two experiences. The first was when I went with a group of 6 on a Friday night. I understand that places get busy and that waits can take a while, but 2 hours? My group was told that it would probably be 30 minutes, which ended up being a quarter of the time. To make matters worse, we never even got a table for 6, but one that should be for four. We gladly took the table though since we had not idea how long it would have taken if we had waited for a bigger table. The second experience was for an early Saturday lunch. This was a different experience, but only because the place was dead. The food isn't horrible, but it could definitely use some added flavor. I got a burger for one meal and a sandwich for another. Both were ok, but I could probably make them just as good if not better myself. There were a couple positives though. The beer is pretty good, I'd say average when compared to some of the other breweries in the Seattle area. I also took the tour, which is probably the best value. It costs $1 and you get to sample 5 beers 2 oz each and at the end get to pick your favorite one for a 5 oz fill (not sure if they always do that). That is definitely a great value for the money.
