This place is close by my work and I just recently discovered this great place. I've had a variety of their starters, Pad Thai, and chicken Thai dishes. None have disappointed. The place appears extremely clean, the staff is warm and attentive, and the prices are out of this world reasonable. A great find.

Thai Terrace caters. And boy do they ever. Made for one of the best b-day parties we've ever hosted. Would do it again in a second. Generous portions, fair prices, friendly customer service, and super flexible as we changed the order around in the process. Too bad their Portland location closed down, but I'm sure at the rate they're going, they'll soon be looking to open up another!

The first time I went here, I was extremely happy, and pleasantly surprised! The food was absolutely delicious, and the portions were perfect. I dropped $20.00 on myself. I thought I had a new favorite. The next time I went, I brought a friend, and it was still pretty good, but not like the first time. I brushed it off. It was at least decent. No biggy. On my third visit, the appetizers were overcooked, and the entree barely had anything beyond the rice. It is mid-range in price. I had 2 shrimp on the whole dish, and little on the veggies. My friend ordered a tofu dish, she is vegetarian, and it was the same. Very skimpy on the veggies, barely any tofu. In culinary school it was drilled into my head, "consistency is quality, quality is consistency." I would have rather never had the original good experience here. It would have saved me the let-down.

Wow. My husband and I had the chicken pad Thai and the volcano beef noodle and we died! Amazing Thai food and I'm not a huge Thai food lover. I actually try to avoid it. But I'm a believer now. Super flavorful!

This is by far my favorite place I order delivery all the time. You must try the spicy chicken cashew. It's literally to die for. They get it spot on everytime.

Food was good but delivery was a total cluster F. Took over an hour and it arrived cold. Delivery boy was totally lost and clueless. Prices were average and portion sizes seemed bigger in other restaurants. The reason it gets 3 stars instead of 1 is the fact that the food still tasted good inspite of being cold and the lady on the phone tried being as helpful as possible. I would go again but next time I'm eating it there!

Very yummy food with good service. I had the spicy cashew with shrimp and it was very tasty.

I like going for the lunch specials, great deal great food. Didn't like the dinner as much but might have been just a bad day. BUT GOOD FOOD!! Lunch specials are awesome.

I went here with my boyfriend a few nights ago. We were so hungry for Pho but everything was closed, we had heard about Thai Terrace from one of the moms at his nephew's school (she either works there or owns it, can't remember). Anyways. I ordered Garden Curry Noodles, which was awesomely hot in temperature but not really in the spice department, it was still really good. My boyfriend ordered Pad Thai, which was underwhelming to say the least, though it was spicy it was way too saucy and the flavor reminded me of tomatoes. Even though it could have been better, I think I'd still give it another try Service was really nice and was very clean.

My friend brought me along to Thai Terrace and raved about it the whole way. It's not so special looking, tucked into a shopping strip and with minimal charm inside, but the service and the food were awesome. I had number 87 and we shared some salad rolls. The sauce for the rolls was so good I could have licked the bowl and I usually don't care much for peanut based sauces. And the leftovers I took home didn't even last until the next day as I scarfed them down as soon as a tinge of hunger hit.

We were traveling from San Francisco and looking for a place on drive back to airport. Thanks yelp for helping me find this place. Great food, good service (we went around 3:00). Got Tom Yum soup and drunken noodles. Both dishes were awesome!

I like this place a lot! This place is very close to my job, so i decided i would give this place a try. i am so glad i did because this is my new favorite Thai place. My favorite things are the chicken pad thai and the golden flowers (friend wantons) it maybe be the best i have ever had. the atmosphere is great and the staff is very friendly. Definitely worth a try!

This is our first trip to Vancouver WA. Our friends really liked this place. We had lunch there and ordered their specials: Jumbo Shrimp Pad Thai (it came with some chicken & flat rice noodles), Spicy Basil Chicken & Shrimp, Crab Fried Rice and Beef Salad. We loved the Pad Thai, it definitely had flavor and the flat rice noodles were different. Everything else was ok. I expected the Beef salad to be tossed with the dressing but it came on the side. The only let down was they didn't have Meng Kum appetizer and lunch for 3 was $60. We'd definitely go back though for authentic Thai food.

I visit Thai Terrace at least once a week for takeout and sometimes to dine in with friends. The staff is always super nice and the food is consistent and very good. Everyone I have taken with me (even my Portlander friends) have agreed that the food and service is fantastic for a place in a strip mall. My personal favorite is the Pad Eggplant.

My good friends from work first introduced me to Thai Terrace and it was love at first bite. I have since then brought my grandparents and my family there and converted them to Thai Terrace lovers as well. I can not stress how big this is for my family because we are Thai Food fanatics and are constantly looking for new, delicious Thai restaurants to go to. Since our first visit, a month ish ago, it has been the only Thai restaurant we have gone to. The food is authentic and delicious. The service is excellent and personable. Not only is it pleasing to the palet, it is also aesthetically pleasing. Meaning to say, the presentation and athmosphere is top notch. It is always an all around excellent experience. I would recomend it to anyone, being a Thai food fanatic like myself or a newby to Thai food. One and all, you should eat at Thai Terrace.

GREAT red curry. If you are a fan of bamboo shoots in the large extra crunchy style, this place has them. None of that shredded garbage. They also have pretty good Thai fried rice. Consistency is good here and the owners and employees are friendly. I suggest to-go from here rather than Thai Orchid or any other Thai restaurant around here. I actually prefer it, I do not enjoy dining in at this building for some reason. Very uncomfortable and not intimate whatsoever which is what I usually expect from a place as small and 'authentic'.

My favorite dish here is the glass noodles and chicken dish, followed up with tom yum soup! Really love going here for Thai, it's never dissapointing.

Stopped here for dinner on the way to Cinetopia. The interior is nice surprise from the strip mall exterior. The restaurant was very clean and nicely decorated with new furniture and interior decorations. The staff was very prompt and friendly and kept our water glasses full, which I always appreciate when eating sweet and spicy Thai. We had salad rolls as an appetizer and they were delivered quickly. Our entres followed quickly. Everything was very fresh and had good flavor. The Phad Kee Mao was well spiced, but the use of Italian basil rather than Thai basil was odd. The two stir frys were also good and the vegetables were all fresh and had good flavor. We'll be making this our default restaurant for dinner on the way to Cinetopia.

Terrific Thai place in Vancouver. Delicious food and good service. Would eat here on a regular basis. They offer take out and delivery too. Give them a try!

I liked all their curries. They're pretty quick at lunch, so it is doable for a work meal. I always found myself admiring the decor.

  • Kris W.

They closed to remodel and the place is spruced up quite a bit now...food is still consistently good (the salads can be a great value - plenty for a meal). If the spicing isn't hot enough for you, ask for the chili tray to doctor your food to your taste. Service is always nice, and they've recently extended their hours a bit.

  • Jenn D.

Mmmm...I had the veggie rolls (#1) and garden curry noodles(#88) which was deliciously spicy and finished off with Mango and sticky rice. I loved my server who was sweet and patient (her name was Ju) and I hope to become a frequent visitor.

I've written a review before and I still think this is one of the best Thai restaurants in the area. Excellent food, every ingredient very fresh - never overcooked. The owners/staff are very gracious. I am writing again because they JUST (July 2009) remodeled the place. The decor is elegant and very warm - rich wood finishes, new carpet, new paint, new lighting - all is very beautiful and clean. So, while someone else said it looked worn - not any more! They need to revisit. Always a good experience and value for the dollar. We have only visited for lunch which is under $10 per person - dinner is a little more per person.

Something about this place is a little off to me. It's tucked away in a strip mall, which may have negative connotations, but can sometimes surprise you as a great place to get some grub. This place just doesn't do it for me though. Just walking through the door I feel weird. The feeling is sterile, and I can't really put my finger on it. It's clean, sure, but it feels like it's trying to be something it's not. Maybe it's the crisp white linen table cloths. Maybe it's the lack of people inside when I went. The group I was with seemed compelled to not even say anything, it was that awkward. I thought they could make up for it with the food, but it was only mediocre. It contained loads of flavorless veggies. I love veggies, but I love flavor even more. There are other places in the area to get my Thai fix without sacrificing my comfort while I eat. Sorry Thai Terrace.

  • Diana O.

Tasty food and decent service. I'm a sucker for green curry so that's my go-to, but the few times I've strayed, everything has been really good. The service can be a little strange sometimes (random servers will wander by and ask questions, and they always seem to be milling about doing invisible busywork) but it doesn't detract much from the food. The decor is really lovely and it's a convenient, reliable place to eat close to home.

We Love Thai Terrace. Really close to our house in Vancouver where there are not a lot of great options. Thankfully, we have this local thai place as our favorite close-to-home option for eating out. We had dinner there last night, and even though they were busy, the service was excellent. Tom Yum was great!

I used to eat here very often. I don't know if they changed their management since I've been seeing new people there, but I will no longer be eating here. I found a few hairs in my food and it was enough for me to ask for another plate. I got the waiters attention and told them there was hairs in my food. He said he'd offer me a 15% discount, stood there for a moment, then started to walk away. I called him back and asked for a new plate. He turned around, sighed, and took my plate back. After that, I heard loud talking in the kitchen and when I walked up to pay my bill, I saw they had their cooks all in hair nets (which were not present before hand). It was awkward for us, since we certainly did not want anyone to get in trouble. We don't come here anymore.

The food quality ranks high. The service is good. The prices are pushing the limit and a bit high. The atmosphere is great and open. The food quantity is not too much to brag about. In all a good restaurant and won't be disappointed.

Good stuff. Very pretty inside and a nice entrance way. I hate eating in strip malls, and am a bit confused by the lack of a terrace, but looking past all that... the staff is a friendly group, who are good at knowing when to come at the table and when to let their customers be. Also, the food is just great. mango curry chicken and pad see ewe are definitely yummy!

  • Matt E.

Best yellow curry I've found so far! Granted I haven't strayed too far from my favorites (yellow curry, chicken satay, and salad rolls) but I've been to many Thai places in Vancouver / Portland and this one tops my list so far. Their prices are unbeatable for the quality and how fresh everything tastes. Also, their staff is off the charts friendly and hospitable. The only slight drawback is the location, as you aren't going to overly-impress any dates by bringing them to this strip mall, but the atmosphere inside is very nice since their remodel. Overall I'm completely sold, and will continue to both dine-in and order that fantastic curry to-go.

  • D'Ann B.

I'll admit that I mainly ordered from here because they deliver and I was stuck at a hotel without a car. What a pleasant surprise to discover how amazing it was. The crab fried rice was the best I'd ever had. So enjoyable!

  • Scott M.

Best Thai in Vancouver in my opinion. Excellent quality. I give you 3 out of 5 stars because when you switched from Eat24 to whoever the crappy company that does your on-line ordering and delivery now, you screwed up the menu and can no longer deliver to entire area. Even if you did the online ordering is missing a lot of what i order. FAIL . We used to order from you almost weekly, now only when i have time to drive in. Which is rare.

The food at thai terrace is wonderful. The service, however, leaves much to be desired. The golden blossoms, green curry and panang curry are winners at this place and the flavors are always spot on. We normally get take-out but the service has been incredibly hit or miss and downright rude at times. This is a little baffling to me because we always tip well and no matter who in our family/friends actually places the order and gets the take out, the service has been rude across the board. Two specific incidents that come to mind are once when I was ordering, the waitress hung up on me mid-order without letting me finish. When I called back, she said, "I thought you were done" even though I had literally been in the middle of the order and was still talking when she had hung up on me. The second time was when we got ONE carton of rice for three dishes. The rice lasted just one curry and so the next time I politely asked for more rice and the waitress got angry and said the rice portion is standard. We've been ordering here for a long time and have always gotten more rice so when I pointed that out, she got even more offended and ended the call without agreeing to give us more rice or apologizing for the obvious mistake in their previous order. Having said all of this, I truly believe the same waitress at Thai Terrace took my call both times and that she is the culprit behind the terrible service we've been getting here. The few times that we've gotten decent/good service from Thai terrace, the voice on the line has been recognizably different.

Amazing food. This a great restaurant. We went a little late last night and the service was very fast and friendly. We shared egg rolls (the sauce was amazing!!) and pad se ew. I'm not a big eater but I wanted more after my portion. Great customer service and our waters were always filled. Love them for take out or dine in.

  • Kristi H.

The Tom kha soup was AMAZING!!!!!!!!! It made the other entrees seem bland. Pad Thai was just OK, curry was great. Big disappointment was there was no sake :( only beer and wine and they were out of most of the beers. Good service, clean. We will be back for the soup!!

    (3)
  • Whitney S.

The food at Thai Terrace is good. Definitely above average. I've had a number of different entrees and particularly enjoy the red curry and the pad Thai. The only thing keeping me from a 4-star review is the long waits for phone-in orders. They often say 20-minutes but I arrive and always have to wait an additional 10 or more minutes. Also, they frequently don't answer their phone so I end up ordering online. Short staffed perhaps? Bottom line is that the food is good and I will continue to eat here and just plan for the food to take longer than they say.

  • Freddie B.

At a hotel .4 miles away and you don't deliver here.. But you "deliver"??? Really would have liked Thai but now it's room service.. Boo!!

  • Lien D.

I tried the panang curry. It wasn't terrible. I felt like they just gave me a lot of curry sauce with some vegetable (mainly green beans) and maybe three or four pieces of pork. I would recommend requesting to make the dish spicier. I wasn't satisfied with my meal. I was just eating so I wouldn't throw away money or food. I don't think I will come back. There are better Thai restaurants in Vancouver. The staff were friendly. They are attentive and checked on us multiple times.

  • Crystal M.

I love everything about this place. People remember you, your order and make small talk. The decor is cute, and the food... Yum. The food is always amazing. ZERO complaints. Great portion size, super tasty and diverse menu. This is where I tell my friends in Vancouver to go to when they want Thai.

    (4)
  • Beth S.

Their beef pad thai is soo good. I always order it with a thai ice tea. I have never dined in, always carry out. The first time I walked in to order takeout and the wait was really long, that's my fault for not calling ahead! This place is usually busy and I think that's just another testament to how good they are. I call ahead every time now and by the time I get there everything is always ready! The only downside is sometimes when you call it is very hard to understand the person taking your order.

Impeccable seafood variety and quality in their soups and dishes. Great customer service. Have only ordered take-out and delivery but hope to make it in the restaurant sometime soon. (Just moved here a week ago!)

What's better than Thai food that rolls up to your door? We've ordered from Thai Terrace about 15 times in the last year and while I give 4 stars to the delivery guys (they are ALWAYS earlier than they say), the food is too inconsistent to earn an extra star. Sometimes the curry tastes a little "off", sometimes it is awesome... you really just don't know what you're going to get. I highly recommend the Garden Curry, however. It's a red curry chock full of veggies like broccoli, carrots and cabbage. I get it with tofu and it is fantastic. The basic spring rolls are solid and the pad thai is certainly serviceable. Other good curries are the green curry and the pumpkin curry. To be honest, I haven't found any Thai food in Vancouver that is better than Thai Terrace so I guess we are lucky we are in their delivery zone. And to be fair, it might lose a little in its trip across town. I'll have to eat in the actual restaurant one day and find out.

Drunken Noodles, Curry, Tom Yum Soup... EVERYTHING is great! Atmosphere in restaurant is unlike any other. Delivery service is quick and accurate. HIGHLY recommend!

Love this Thai place! Great service, great food. One of the best peanut sauces is served here, it's not too thick but not too watery either. I love their salad rolls and of course the chicken pad Thai. Great location and classy ambience for a casual restaurant.

Hallelujah! I have finally found a Thai Place here, seriously. I could cry tears of happiness and joy right now. The food was absolutely delicious. I ordered the Garden Curry with shrimp and I'm obsessed with it. It's amazing. Special red curry, coconut milk with broccoli, carrots, mushrooms and basil. I ate it so fast I almost threw up. It was so good. The hubby had the Spicy Basil Fried Rice and it was so much, he barely ate half of it. We're so excited to eat our leftovers at work tomorrow. Special shoutout to their Thai Iced Tea! Two words: DAMN GIRL. NOMMERS to the extreme. The ladies who were serving were Angels. So polite, always smiling and adorable. It's always the best thing when the food is great and the service is friendly. It was busy when we came but they still got our food out quickly and super hot. Amazeballs. Thank you for making my tummy a happy place. :)

We have been going here for about 3 years now and never can get enough. When we dine in, the service is wonderful and quick so that we have plenty of time to get back to the office. The staff is courteous and attentive to your order, and the restaurant is very clean. When we dine out, they almost always get to our house sooner than they quote on the phone which is a wonderful feeling, especially if you are hungry! Some recommendations: Appetizers: Salad Rolls Golden Flowers Chicken Satay Entrees: Pad Thai Pad Kee Mao Pineapple Fried Rice

I ordered ginger halibut. I paid $15 for fish sticks served with ginger, mushroom and bell peppers. I'm more shocked that I forgave the fish sticks because the ginger sauce was delicious. Husband had tofu curry which he devoured. Service was friendly and food arrived quickly even if a large party came in before us.

  • M S.

I absolutely LOVE this place! It is the best over!!! I've been here only like 4 times so far in the past year, but it is SO GOOD! I get the garlic black pepper chicken ( I think that's what it's called?) and once I got tofu, and it was so good! Another dish that is REALLY good is apparently the peanut chicken (I think that's what it's called? It's a peanut sauce) Overall, I HIGHLY recommend! Oh, and their food tastes SO FRESH! That's why it's the best! Also, their prices are really good! It seems too good to be true since their food is SO GOOD and their portions are big!

  • Fiona G.

Delicious Thai food and reasonable prices. A hidden gem in Vancouver! I was the first person to arrive at 11:30 and the place didn't really start to get busy until about 1 o'clock. You can choose your level of spicy on a scale from 1 to 5. I chose 3 for moderately spicy, however I could've tolerated a little spicier.

    (4)
  • Katie S.

A really awesome little place for take out or dine in! The people are amazingly nice and courteous. The food is really great. My takeout was quick and delish. I haven't dined in but the place was small and very clean. I am for sure going to be back!

So after moving from NY tough to find a Thai place like home. Well all it took was showing them the entree description from home and they matched it to perfection. actually might be better than home. Will be spending more time here in the future! awesome!!!

  • James N.

Like some other reviewers, we have never eaten inside the actual restaurant. Delivery takes forever, but is always hot and fresh (which is more than can be said about Dominos). Usually takes at least 45 to an hour. Anything with their peanut sauce is recommended. Pad Thai with veggies or tofu is also a win. I have been in for pickup before, the dining room seems busy and the staff seems attentive. It looks clean and well decorated too.

As a first time of me eating Thai food I found this great place. The food was great the people were friendly and above all the restaurant was clean. We ate Pad Thai we both large a d skinny noodles and it was amazing. I am the type of person that doesn't like new food but I was amazed!!! I definitely recommend this place to anybody looking for Thai food sadly I live in Eugene Or and this place is 2 hrs away :( super sad face... I will be sure to visit once Im in Vancouver again...

Love this place! This is my favorite place for Thai food, and have yet to find another restaurant that makes Phad Thai even half as good as they do here. I find the prices here to be good, it isn't the cheapest but is well worth what you get. Been going here for over 7 years and it's still the best!

Ordered Thai Terrace through GrubHub. They were prompt on delivery. At my house within 30 minutes or so. The pad Thai is good. The yellow curry also good. Requested it to not be spicy ( yellow is a safe bet) not the OMG or Wow food but it hit my craving spot. Pricing is comparative to what's out there. I always order a Thai Tea at any Thai place. It was brewed strong here. Lol.

This was my favorite Thai place in Vancouver, but it's been a few year since I've last visited, and being in the neighborhood, I wanted to try it again. STILL my favorite place. Within being sat, browsing the menu and ordering the Garden Curry noodles, the food came just 3/4 minutes later, piping hot and ready to be devoured. And the place was VERY busy on a Tuesday afternoon @3. The curry sauce was phenomenal, I wanted to slurp it straight from the bowl! The veggies were still crisp and there was a generous amount of tofu. I asked for mild and was glad i did as there was still a bit of a kick to the dish (to be expected from Thai food). Server promptly refilled my water glass while passing by. The place looks exceptionally clean with tasteful decor. A must try for anyone nearby and hungry.

This little place is great, especially for lunch during weekdays! Spicey Basil, Pad Kee Mao and Tom Yum Soup are all great, and the Pad Thai is good too. And best of all? Lunch specials are very reasonable for a lunch date and the atmosphere, while not 5-Star, at least doesn't feel fast foodish.

Been loving this place for years now. Everything is so fresh and tasty. LOVE the peanut sauce. Salad rolls are to-die-for! The Thai iced-tea is a wonderful and tasty guilty pleasure. Always get Pad Thai and the Broccoli chicken with peanut sauce. The Tom Kah Ka soup is awesome, too! I always have great service, and will keep coming back!

Food is pretty good (not great), but the service leaves something to be desired. Not very friendly and my wife's meal showed up 10 minutes after mine. Probably won't go back.

Thai Terrace is THE BOMB. A friend introduced me to this restaurant and we drive half an hour to eat here. We take all our dates here. The food is delicious, the service is prompt, the workers are nice, and the bathrooms are clean! They have good water. Parking is a little tight but worth the fight! I highly recommend the peanut chicken.

The food was great and their service was fantastic. Try everything from their strong coffee to the desert. (if you like papaya that is. The seating might feel a bit cramped but I suppose that could be all a matter of opinion. The lighting is nice, and overall the atmosphere is very inviting :)

This is the best Thai place in the Portland/Vancouver area. The people are friendly, the food tastes great regardless of what you get and the price is reasonable. This place gets a 5 star rating any day. Will continue to come here!

WOW I had forgotten how good this place is! We were going to use a coupon and go to ginger pop and I remembered how bad it was. I'm so glad we ended up at Thai terrace. Everything fresh and decent portions. Great service and clean place. So nice! I love thai food. This is the best in Vancouver wa.!

Had golden flowers and they were definitely not anything close to crab puffs. The salad rolls and the curry was good but not stellar. I probably won't go back. The quality of the food just wasn't there.

Thai terrace is delicious. The extra spicy pad thai is always spot on, and my husband says the same for their yellow curry. Salad rolls and crab puffs here are also really good. This is one of my favorites in Vancouver.

I was in the area and craving some Thai today for lunch. Decided to give it a shot. The atmosphere was pleasant. The space was nice, clean and certainly had a good feel to it. Their prices are right in line with competing Thai restaurants in the area. Also, the host and server were friendly. However, here is the issue; the beef was so chewy it was nearly impossible to eat. In fact I had to spit out a few bites. The flavoring was fantastic and I wanted to like it so badly. However, it was too much to overcome. Truly, the worst beef I've ever eaten at a Thai restaurant. When the server came and asked me how everything was I replied and said, "the flavoring is excellent but I'm really disappointed in the beef, its very chewy" She just smiled and moved on. So, overall my experience was sub par and I won't be returning. Lots of better options with higher quality in my humble opinion.

Have ordered here several times and have usually been satisfied. This just happened: Ordered delivery tonight. When it was delivered, they completely left off one of our dishes (garden curry noodles). We know for certain we ordered it because the gentleman who originally answered the phone very specifically asked what meat and how spicy we wanted it. They did not charge us for it, but we still WANTED it, so there shouldn't have been an issue with us paying for it and them delivering the missing dish, since it was THEIR error. My boyfriend called back. A lady answered the phone this time and right off the bat, did not want to listen (it was on speakerphone, so I heard the whole conversation). She was really abrupt and kept interrupting my boyfriend as he tried to explain they left off something we ordered. She pulled our ticket and read back what they charged us for. She was really having a difficult time understanding that we knew we weren't charged for it but that our order was taken incorrectly. We were missing something that we ordered, we wanted to pay for it. How hard is that? After a third time of him nicely attempting to explain, she somewhat seemed to get it but then told him that they have a large party in the restaurant and now they were not delivering. Seriously? It was really one of the rudest conversations I have ever heard between a business and a customer, a repeat customer at that. Their food has been decent in the past, definitely not the best Thai food we have ever had, but good enough for us to keep ordering when we're in the mood for delivery. This time what food they did manage to deliver - the pad eggplant, tom-kha soup (I threw this away), and mango sticky rice - was terrible. It's obvious that when they get busy, the quality of their food seriously declines. Based tonight's experience with the rude customer service, we will never order from here again.

Reasonable prices, amazing for being in a strip mall. Great place for getting a curry fix :)

Very good Thai food. They deliver which is nice! The yellow curry chicken is very flavorful and they can spice it up to your liking. I've also tried their Pad Thai, Peanut lovers, Mango rice dessert, and their Crispy shrimp rolls are fabulous. Recommend!

My go-to for Thai! I've never been disappointed whether it's dine-in, carry-out or delivery. I'm very sensitive to spicy food and when I say no spice, they really do a good job! Everything I've had is very flavorful but my two favorites are the pork Pad Thai and the chicken Pad Won Sen.

Well before I get started let me say that I love the food here. I always order to go. Yesterday I ordered to go and was given a time of 20 minutes to pick up my food which is pretty standard. I showed up 20 minutes later to see this restaurant full as I have ever seen it. I also saw most of my $63 to go order sitting in a box behind the cash register. After waiting for an additional 15 minutes after arriving and watching almost the entire restaurant be served while watching my to go order sit there and get cold I approached the desk to ask how much longer it would be. Very grumpy little asian man told me that my order would be done in the order it was received. I explained to him that before I even walked in most of my order was sitting on a shelf getting cold he said it would be just a couple more minutes . After waiting an additional 5 minutes and seeing even more of the restaurant be served I went to the counter one more time to tell them I was not going to pay $63 for cold food so his response was to set my food under a heat light. since I already paid I asked if I could take the food that was there that had been cooked over 40 minutes ago home and eat it and get my money back for the rest He seemed to get somewhat angry at this point and tell me that if I want my money back I'm going to get my money back for all of it and not just what wasn't ready and I can go somewhere else so I did and I will not be back to this location it is sad because I really did like the food. I don't know if anyone's ever eaten cold pad thai but its a clumpy sticky gloppy mess and I had three orders of it ordered and paid for only to sit there and watch it get cold for 25 minutes and then leave the store without anything waste of time lesson learned.

This is by far the best Thai food in Vancouver. I absolutely love there pad thai. The people working are always very friendly. It's always very clean and a comfortable environment.

We frequent Thai Terrace often. Whether you go in or get it delivered, the food here is always good. The portions can vary drastically(some cooks seem to skimp), but for the most part you get a decent amount for what you pay. Also, maybe it's just us, but their "hot" isn't very hot. It's great that you can order online, we definitely recommend this place to friends looking for Thai food in Vancouver.

Simple decor, usually good service depends on whom you get but most of all, why we keep coming back, is their amazing food. Peanut sauce is to DIE for. Jk I'll never die for peanut sauce but man it's like they put drugs in it or something it's that good and addicting. I can never get enough of salad rolls. They have a lot of options if you're vegan etc they work with you. I'm neither one of those, just saying. We tried some other Thai places but Thai Terrace has this special touch to their food, whatever it is, my husband and I are hooked. So glad it's in Vancouver and not Portland. Good, non franchise restaurant in Vancouver yay!...

Inside is nicer than you expect. Food tastes great, had the cashew tofu lunch special. Flavor was nice, not too salty and tofu was cooked perfectly not too greasy. Nice joint to go to for lunch or dinner. Servers were very nice and kept our water refilled. Food presentation was great too it was nicely arranged on the plate.

This place isn't extremely authentic or amazing, but it's very consistent and the service is great. Have never been disappointed in a dish, this place is definitely reliable. The basil chicken is always good, but the tom yum soup is delicious. The pad Thai is pretty run of the mill. it's my family's go-to Thai place!

I am a pretty picky when it comes to Thai food and this place doesn't disappoint. Egg rolls, cucumber salad, chicken satay and there curries are solid. Not the best yellow curry (it is a little watery) but the chicken and potatoes in it are excellent. We order delivery all the time and would definitely recommend it!

I give them 2-1/2 stars. I used to get take out here fairly often, primarily because they were very close to my house and super convenient for me. The food is mediocre -- not great, not bad either. The decor is nice and more contemporary than your normal mom 'n' pop in a strip mall joint. However, after receiving inexcusably bad customer service the last time I was there, I will never return. I stood at the counter, completely ignored, order untaken even, for more than 15 minutes. There were five tables with customers at this point. The longer it went on, the more curious I got to see just how long this could possibly go on like this and so I didn't say a peep. I got angry later on, but at this point I was playing a game of "How Long Can They Go." Granted, the checker-outer guy was busy with a large table of teenaged girls who wanted separate checks but didn't tell anybody that. But there were other waitstaff there who weren't so busy with five tables amongst them all that they couldn't scribble down a measly order of pad Thai to go. I am not an unreasonable person, but this was inexcusable service. For just mediocre food, it is not worth being treated like that. I won't go back, and I tell everybody what happened to me there so they won't go back either. You've messed with the wrong frumpy middle-aged lady, Thai Terrace! Better options abound, for both superior food as well was superior service: Check out the superb Jerusalem Cafe, located in that very same strip mall. If you've got a hankerin' that nothing but Thai will cure (as you sometimes will!), check out Arawan (Mill Plain @ 164th, off to the west side of Target) or Thai Little Home (Fourth Plain, close-ish to the Clark College area). Both are on opposite ends of town, but both are worth the trip. And they would never dream of making a repeat customer stand around being ignored for 15+ minutes.

4.5 stars - Thai Terrace is my favorite Thai restaurant in Vancouver, WA. This is my go-to restaurant when I am craving thai food. Beats out Arawan, Savahn Thai, and all the other thai restaurants in the vicinity (that I know about). Located just off of Mill Plain, nestled amongst a older looking strip mall - TT holds a special place in my heart. The interior is modernized and chic, clean and updated. The thing I love the most (aside from their delicious dishes) is their great service. Seriously every single time I've been to TT, service is amazing and attentive. Dishes are endless and every single one I've tasted, is on point. I recommend the Pad Thai, Pineapple Fried Rice, Pad See Ew (totally my comfort food dish), any of the curries (all fantastic), the Garden Curry Noodles, basically everything on the menu is recommended. Portion sizes are on the larger side, I almost always bring home leftovers. They do a great job of accommodating any special requests - such as using fresh tofu (instead of fried) and adding pineapple to my curry. The one thing I would complain about is their menu (this is nitpicky). The font size on their new menu design is tiny! I mean I can read it fine, but then again I am a young 23 year old with perfect 20/20 eye sight. I'm more worried for those who are 45yrs+ and starting to lose their vision. Other than the font size, there really isn't anything else to complain about. Unless I'm complaining about how good TT is. One final note - they have the BEST STICKY MANGO RICE!! They top theirs with toasted coconut shreds... try it and you will be pleased. I'm salivating just thinking about it.

If you want thai food, and you're in da couv, this is truly the only place to even consider. Pad Thai = fantastic! Massamun Curry = fantastic! Peanut Sauce Lovers = Die, go to heaven, you'll find this and then be ok with being dead. The biggest draw for this place IMO is (or should be) the fact that it DELIVERS. Yes, DELIVERED thai food. I know, you thought I was going to type "pizza" there after that last thing about the delivery, but no, seriously, it's thai food. Delivered. To Vancouver. The delivery charge is $3 with a minimum order of $20 for delivery, which is a little annoying. But when you hate cooking as much as I do, you place one big order on Sunday night, then put almost all of it in the fridge, and you've got dinner for the week! UPDATE: I just discovered they support orders through Grubhub.com !!! Now I just need to write a script or something that will automatically put in my order for me, and hire someone to take the food from the container and put it in my mouth...

Just had our family's traditional Monday Night Happy Meal here. Very good food and service. I had mine mild - perfect for me. Hubby also went with mild but said he'll do medium next time. Daughter had medium and liked it. Her boyfriend had hit but said he'd go for extra hot.

My wife and I love Thai Terrace and probably get take out at least 2 -3 times a month. Their pumpkin curry is the best and definitely worth a try if you are a curry fan. We also like their pad eggplant, pad kee mao, and shrimp tempura. We usually order everything as spicy as they will make it, as it isn't as hot as other Thai restaurants.

Had some take out. Was ok not my favorite and only came here because my favorite Thai place at other end of mcgilvray was closed today. Was ok for a backup because I was craving Thai but terrace is not at the top of my list. Noodles seemed overcooked, hardly any vegetables and only ok on flavor. Better than nothing I guess.

Fast service and delicious food! The yellow curry is amazing and so mouth-watering! It's hard to order anything else once you're had it. I was determined to try something new, but a customer near by was enjoying the yellow curry. As I sat perusing the menu, the delectable aroma kept hitting me. I had to get the yellow curry. I really had no alternative at that point. AND, I was not disappointed. The lunch service is super fast if you are in a hurry. Lots of tables and they can easily accommodate a large group. It is a little pricey as far as thai restaurants go, especially in the 'Couve. However, you can count on great quality thai cuisine. They also offer take-out that also has a super fast turn-around. Friendly staff and great service. I will be definitely coming back!

  • Holy-foo' X.

They offer fast, efficient delivery service from the Terrace in the Couve, and their seafood soup sans coconut milk was delicious and featured far more seafood than giant ginger shavings (unlike some Thai joints I could call out here)..... but we ordered 5 star spicy hot.... we were very clear about this all-important consideration. I wanted bleeding eyeballs-level of spicy hot. Put simply, if there isn't a conspicuous element of pain involved, I ain't interested.... and this 5 star spicy soup barely registered a 1 star, even to my colleagues who have little or no tolerance for spicy heat. There is definitely room to improve and grow with just a little tweaking, lovely people of Thai Terrace! If you were even half as generous w/your Thai chilis, as you were with the mussels and prawns, et al, you'd be sitting pretty among the Elites, at least as far as this chili-head is concerned....

The best Thai food in Vancouver, no contest. All the classic dishes you love (phad thai, panang curry, spring rolls), and a ton more that will take your love of Thai to the next level. I highly recommend the spicy crispy basil and volcano beef noodles...seriously, don't question, just go and stuff your face full of ridiculously delicious Thai food. Also, if you're a die-hard Thai curry lover don't worry...their red, yellow, and green curries are equally swoon-worthy. Warning: once you go to Thai Terrace, you won't want to go anywhere else (unless you're in Seattle).

My friend & i were kind of scetched out to go here for lunch, but we are both so happy we did. Their food was so good!! We both got orange chicken & split some spring rolls. Everything was amazing!! They were pretty busy for not even beinng lunch or dinner time. The staff was fast & really friendly.

I like the fact that when I called asking a very random question (do you put MSG in your food) they answered quickly. Some of the sauce bases do in face contain MSG but they do not add it to their food. This makes me quite happy. I like the food and service just fine! Will be back!

Thai Terrace is probably my most visited restaurant of all time. No it's not especially adventurous (a la Pok Pok), but it's incredibly consistent, well portioned and tasty Thai style home cooking. Everyone is incredibly friendly and attentive. They also deliver! This place pleases a range of tastes, I can't recommend it highly enough.

For Vancouver Thai food its pretty good. Well the panang curry, orange chicken(not so Thai but kids love it) & beef volcano noodle are all that we get. Pad Thai not so good(prefer Chaba Thai) neither is the pad see ew (love it@ Thai little home) but those volcano noodles are out of this world & a must try.

Very good thai food. Clean restaurant with very professional staff. "Medium spice" in the pad thai was a little mild for my fiance, but better than too hot! Pad se ew was delicious and moist. Meat seemed high quality (grisly parts).

Another place that I was taken to in Vancouver! On the first day that we arrived, my brother decided to take us here, saying it was one of his favorite places. There was a bit of construction going on around the area, so it was weird to see such a nice, tidy restaurant when most of the outside looked like a mess. We were seated almost instantly since it didn't look too crowded, even though it was just a little past prime lunch time. Our server was nice and prompt, and even our food was delivered quickly for a sit-down restaurant. In fact, the person who appeared to be the owner himself not only served us the food, but came back afterwards to ask us all how everything tasted. Yay for good customer service! For food, my mom got the Garden Curry (as recommended by our waiter and my brother) and said that it was amazing. My brother got the Pad Thai and said it was good, and I ended up going with the Pad See-Ew with broccoli. Man, I'm getting hungry just thinking about it... The broccoli tasted very fresh, and the dish itself had just enough spice to give it a kick but not overpowering. The meat was also fresh, but just a tad stringy at some points, if I remember correctly. Overall, this is definitely one of my favorite Thai places I've been to. The plates are huge, the food is good, and the price is nice for the portion size. The menu looks quite extensive, so I'll definitely be checking it out s'more if/when I come back to Vancouver.

New contemporary decor. I have been here several times and it doesn't disappoint. The last time I was in we had Pad Thai (not my usual) and it tasted like ketchup! Weird. A little more expensive than other Thai places in the area but it is usually pretty solid good Thai.

Went to Thai Terrace about 2 weeks ago on the strength of the Yelp reviews. We were disappointed. Floor had debris in several places. Service was friendly and haphazard. Food was passable and uninspired. We had a calamari appetizer, a seafood dish and a curry dish. The curry dish was made with beef. The beef tasted boiled and was very tough and inedible. Calamari was freshly made and tasty if you like a heavy batter coating. We really wanted to like this restaurant. Unfortunately there was nothing we tried that would compel us to return nor recommend it to others.

Don't be fooled by the strip mall facade. Delicious food, great service and pretty decor are inside! All of their curries are tasty, especially massaman. Our favorite dishes are pad see ew and pad thai, though every main dish I've had was good. Skip the salad rolls, which are underwhelming, and get whatever seasonal fresh roll they have--recently they did a shrimp, avocado and mango and it was fantastic! Lunch is the best deal with $7 entrees. Dinner can get a bit spendy but it's still reasonable.

Thai Terrace holds promise--enough so that I'll probably give it a second try, given the paucity of good Thai restaurants in the area. The restaurant is in a strip mall, and the entrance, seating, and cashier's counter are all located in the same room. There isn't much in the way of decoration or screening to distract diners from the food--or from the other people in the space. It felt like everyone was in everyone else's business. Which wasn't a problem for me--I like people watching. What was odd, however, is that our server was standing right in front of our table (and back a bit, toward the kitchen), looking toward us much of the time, yet my daughter managed to drink her water, my husbands water, and, finally, my water before someone brought over a refill. The server must have mastered the art of creating his own personal space. My husband and I shared the Massaman curry, which tasted pretty good--except that the potatoes weren't cooked all the way through. When one of the staff asked if we enjoyed our food, I mentioned that it was good, except the potatoes were crunchy. She didn't look too concerned. Maybe she likes raw potatoes. At least our beef salad was tasty, with plenty of beef and spice. I'd come back for the salad and to check out some more of the menu. Maybe the potatoes were just a fluke.

We never have gone wrong when we decide to visit this Thai restuarant. Always get great service and fantastic food. The curries are spicy and flavorful as is the Phad Thai, our usual choices. This time we also tried the cashew veggies and the lemon grass chicken - both were also tasty. Salad rolls come with divine peanut sauce and the chicken satay is tender and delicious. This time we went in and ordered appetizers and beers while we waited for our take out. Love that the servers take no issue with this and they were tipped accordingly. We will be back.

It was okay. I ordered pad see ew to go. It was a bit too salty and saucier than other Thai places I've eaten. It wasn't bad, but I'll probably stick with my regular places.

A very delicious spot for thai food. They have a wonderful selection of Curries and Pad Thai available, also delicious rice dishes including Basil and Pineapple fried rice dishes. Their appetizers are very tasty, and fairly reasonably priced. I recommend their Holy Basil Pasta, a delicious blend of large noodles, tomatoes, basil, onions, pork, chicken and shrimp with wonderful sauce topped off with explosively flavorful deep fried basil. Also their Thai Ice Tea is extremely refreshing and compliments their spicier dishes perfectly.

February 2014 update: I don't know what happened here, but our every three week take out order of pad woon sen with shrimp and yellow curry with chicken was almost unrecognizable. It was actually bad enough that it was difficult to finish. If things improve I will add the 4th star back to my rating.

Ok, So I went back again and had the same thing I ordered the last time I was there. Why didn't I try something new? I guess the Peanut Thai sauce has an addictive ingredient in it....OoOooor they are playing brainwashing music in the background that made me do it. Either way..It just wasn't the same. Sure..it was good, but I think they forgot to add the spice. I do like a little heat in my meal, so this was really mild for my taste buds to really enjoy again.I was kind of bummed. Oh well..can't have the same meal twice. Service was nice and prompt. The meal was served super fast and they offered plenty of water...even though I didn't really need it. I suppose I will have to go back into Portland to find another Thai restaurant to try.

  • James D.

Speedy takeout service, "That will be ready in ten minutes" really meant ten minutes. The tofu came in large finger-sized chunks, but the peanut sauce was delish; however, my Peanut Lovers entree was tasty and the portion well-sized, but the heat was a little shy of the expected "spicy." My daughter got the Pad Tai and said it was much better than the other rival Thai restaurant. Friendly, if overly zealous counter service. I'll be back.

We like this place. We've been going here since before the remodel and do take out more often than dine in. But we did dine in last night and it was exactly as expected, although the busiest I've ever seen. I'm not sure I've ever dined in on a Saturday night. Anyhow, we were seated quickly, and service was a tiny bit slow, but manageable. Once the crowd lessened, the service was super quick. I like the service here, it is what I qualify as 'typical asian' service, not sickly-sweet friendly but efficiently friendly. I have no problems with it but a person who likes to be substantially doted on, may take offense. We always get the chicken satay, and I like the way they do it here. My guy gets the pad thai, which I always have a small taste and I like it. I'm not really a pad thai kind of gal, but I like the way they prepare it here. I'm currently on an orange chicken fix here. Yumm!! But I also really love the tom yum noodle soup. so, so good and filling. it is an entree in the noodle section, a different selection than the traditional soup. It's chock-full of a variety of proteins and served with a giant wonton. mmmm....good. Our fave thai place in the area. We've tried many and this is the one that gives us the thai flavors we prefer. The remodel is cute and makes the space a lot more appealing than previously. I always know what to expect here. Real solid, all the way around.
