This is my favorite Thai food restaurant in Vancouver. Don't be fooled by the sorta-sketchy exterior and neighborhood - the Zagat and Trip Advisor stickers on the door are there for a reason. In recent years, they have re-designed the interior to look much classier, and have even begun plating their meals in a fancy fashion when serving their yummy food. My husband was born and raised in Vancouver, and he has been coming here for years. Once I followed his lead, I have continued to recommend this restaurant to many in Vancouver, and mostly take advantage of their take-out options. Ordering to go is incredibly convenient with their online Eat24 service, which allows you to handle everything, down to the tip, online. The online menu contains accurate pictures of each menu item to help you salivate while you decide what to order to satisfy your taste buds. The service is awesome, and they always offer ice water if there is a wait for our to-go. This is a very popular spot for take-out, and if we have had to wait in the past, it is incredible how many people come in and out to pick up their meals. I have tried a variety of items and am always very satisfied. They even have a gluten free menu available, although I think most Thai food is rice based, and their selection has a wide array of options! I highly recommend the pad kee mao, pad thai, and spicy basil fried rice, but everything I have ever ordered had been delicious! Enjoy!

My husband and I have been eating here for three years, never once been disappointed. We have tried a few other Thai places in search of the best chicken pad Thai, and this is where consistency stays. Even better, they recently started delivering. Happy staff makes for an enjoyable experience too.

My favorite Thai food in Vancouver! The waitress remembers me by name every time. Their food is great and the service is just as good

This place offered a lot of choice for the entire family. Their lunch specials were extremely affordable. Great Thai!!

This was the best Pad Thai I've had in a long time! I ordered my Pad Thai medium spicy, which was a good amount of heat, with shrimp and scallops. The Yakisoba was delicious, however the chicken was flavorless, and this was ordered mild which had little heat. This was the first time I ever tried mango and rice, it was very tasty. This is now my go to spot for Pad Thai!

It's a cute little place. Kind of dead though. The food was made pretty fast. My boyfriend got the pad Thai and I got the red curry. The pad Thai was pretty good and the curry could have been more flavorful but overall the food was good. However the service needs some improvement. Our waitress totally forgot about our Thai ice teas and she never checked up on our table after bringing the food out.

The food was awesome, most of the staff were pleasant, our waiter however was either having a bad day or didn't seem to like us much. I saw him talking to and greeting other people but he, very literally, did not say anything to us... at all. He just ominously stood above our table until we ordered, walked away, forgot about our drinks and forgot to put our food in (someone who was seated way after us got their food before we got our drinks) then quietly dropped the bill when all was said and done. It was so... weird. Anyway I understand having a bad day, and the food was good, so 4 stars anyway. But give the poor fella a day off if he needs it! Or maybe it really was just me?

I was passing thru town and saw this place on Yelp. Looked interesting. I loved it. The food was flavorful and fresh, and the service snappy and friendly. Highly recommended local joint. Nicely done.

My husband and I really enjoy this place. We both enjoy their pad Thai, and I also really like their pad see ew. Always have great, friendly service even when I'm picking up a to go order. Great place all around.

Ordered for delivery. Food came much faster than expected and was fabulous! The spicy fried rice with chicken was wonderful: chicken was moist, as was the rice. The shrimp dish was loaded with huge shrimp perfectly cooked, as were the veggie. Definitely going to be back

Great food, quick service. I'm a regular for last several years. Can be cramped/crowded. Watch the ice/water - they have an occassional filter issue. Unable to place phone order recently as phone first rang till timed out and was then mysteriously busy for 15 minutes. Staff acknowledged occassional problem with phone/line, which I found strange.

This is a really nice restaurant with a very friendly staff. The service is great and it's very easy to get comfortable while you eat. They have a great selection of meals whether you want noodles, rice, or soup. Appetizers are available also the pot stickers are great and I've heard very good things about the salad rolls but I don't really eat vegetables so I don't have an opinion on those. Great deals too. Would recommend to my grandmother

  • Lindsey C.

Overall the food was fairly good and I would recommend trying them only if you dine in based on a poor delivery experience. We ordered online - pad see ew, Penang curry, and a wonton app - for delivery. I got an email almost immediately that they had received my order and we should expect delivery in 45-60 minutes. Maybe 75 minutes later they arrived. We were not even 5 miles from the restaurant. I was extremely disappointed. That being said, the food tastes good. The Penang curry, though ordered a mild, came at a medium - red chili flakes everywhere! Delicious, but I couldn't eat it. Luckily the pad see ew was good! The wonton flavor was great, though the wrapper was a little tough, maybe from sitting for delivery. I'd give them another chance - perhaps these issues could have been fixed dining in?

  • Jonathan M.

food is so good i came back for more... just to sit here again for over 45 minutes when i was told 10-15 when i placed the order.... 45 minutes at this point and still no end in sight i gotta stop comin here

  • Desirae C.

I've been coming here for years. It's the best Thai food in Vancouver and they are very flexible if you happen to be a vegetarian, such as myself. They have plenty of options, and the customer service is impeccable. The only reason I docked a star was because their delivery isn't as great. I've order delivery four times and each time the food is decent-not like it is when you eat-in. And they've forgotten my ice cream twice. But other than that, this place is phenomenal! Don't let the exterior of the building fool you. This is the best Thai food in town!

    (4)
  • Kendra J.

I was very impressed. The outside is very deceiving. The Tom yum soup was delicious and very spicy. The only complaint I have is the bean sprouts tasted a little off. But I'll definitely be back.

I feel so lucky to have a great Thai restaurant nearby, but one where I can order online AND they deliver? Fantastic! Our first experience was dining in at the restaurant. We were seated promptly and service was friendly and timely. I ordered the chicken satay, and they were of pretty generous size. Usually the satay I've encountered has been thinly pounded/sliced chicken, but Thai home gives you a little more meat, if that's your thing. Peanut sauce was spot on. The Thai iced tea was good. As for entrees, the Spicy Green Beans with Beef were a little heavy on the fish sauce for my liking, and not super spicy, so I probably wouldn't order them again. We also had the Lemon Grass chicken (grilled chicken breast marinated in lemon grass sauce and topped with peanuts sauce served with steamed carrots, cabbages and broccoli) which, I must say, was pretty good. I was hoping for a swimming rama style dish (spinach, chicken & peanut sauce) but this dish proved to be pleasant alternative. Our second experience was with takeout, which we ordered online with no trouble. This time around, we had the sizzling beef, phad thai with beef and some eggolls. Everything was delicious! We live very nearby, and the neighborhood is fine. As I mentioned, we didn't have any issues placing our order online, and hope to give the delivery service a try soon.

  • Alysha B.

I absolutely adore this place. It's not cheap thai so i don't come here often but it is convenient for online ordering! The staff is really nice and i love there tofu and beef. Just a cute place in general. Only complaint is parking is a bit of a tight squeeze.

  • Leigh G.

The food was great. Sadly I ordered delivery... my original order was suppose to include pork fried rice. When the order came it didn't have the pork fried , I called and explained, they said they would have some brought over. The rice was delivered, abd they charged me again! And another delivery fee! I asked for the receipt for both orders, the driver didn't have either. I was really disappointed with the lack of communication. When the driver has been here the first time I asked if we needed to check the order and he said it was checked twice.. But I had no proof of what I paid for on either order except I paid $14.00 for pork fried rice.. It's a bummer I really enjoyed the food.

  • Christina T.

Very flavorful Tom Kha and Pad se eww, lots of meat too. Delivery was about 30 mins on a Friday. The only negative is I ordered my food thai hot and it was only slightly spicy (more like mild). Will definitely order again!

  • Alexis R.

Best Thai food I've ever had. Pass Thai is phenomenal, no one else's compares. I've never been disappointed by a dish. Duck curry, green curry, and avocado curry are amazing. Salad tools and fired wontons are a must. Don't judge this place by the shabby neighborhood and exterior, these people are passionate about their food and you can taste that.

  • Jen H.

I've ordered delivery from here a few times. It has been ok on average but this last time was pretty bad. Pad thai or pineapple fried rice was burned somehow and I couldn't get the taste (like burned popcorn) out my mouth. Both had a black look to them which I thought was sauce. The delivery itself was just past 60 minutes, but the delivery guy is friendly. Food was lukewarm. Won't order from here again.

Great find among a less than four star neighborhood. Don't mind the gang shootings in the nearby park or the questionable characters at the 7-11 next door, park, come in, and enjoy... or get take out. The inside is nice, but I was on a short lunch break so I got take out my first time. They were very friendly and gave us a seat offered us drinks while we waited. The lunch menu is perfectly priced and the food itself very tasty, but I suspect the lunch portions are much smaller than the regular menu. I will opt for the regular size next time, it would be worth it. Great flavors in my red curry though, and nice soft tofu the way I like it. BONUS, my 75 cent egg roll stayed warm and crispy even in the to go container for 40 minutes until I had a chance to eat it. That's good food.

Ambiance? Odd. Neighborhood? Run-down. Service? Sketchy. Food? EXCELLENT! I think I know Thai food, and theirs is very good, indeed. I'd read about their Pad Thai being the best in Vancouver. I tasted my friend's, and it was darned good. I had the green curry, and it had the right amount of heat. The pork in it was a little dry, however. The sauce was really good, though! A nose-blower! Looking forward to returning to try something else.

I come here OFTEN for lunch. The Pad thai and Green Curry with Salad Roll with Peanut sauce are my two favorite dishes. Everything else on the menu looks good too. Just can't stop ordering my regular dishes. Orders come out hot and service is friendly. I would recommend this place to anyone.

  • Kimchi L.

I'm giving this place 5 stars because they made chicken noodle which is DELICIOUS and not as well known as Pad Se Eew even though it is just as solid in savory. Most of the time I'm in the mood for Thai noodles (always in the mood for chicken noodle and pad se ew) and their Pad Thai was good too. Mmm MmM mmmmmMmmMMm I'm craving it so much right now. I also got a coconut soup that was tasty. Their curry was good and not something I would drive across the river for. This review is an endorsement of their excellent noodle dishes.

The husband and I tried Thai Little Home's delivery for the first time. Let me say how glorious thai food as a delivery option is. You can order and pay online, and it couldn't be an easier website to use. I liked all the options you can choose from including extra meats, spicy level and the options of sticky, brown or streamed rice. The food arrived within 35 min, and was hot and omg delicious. I had the yellow curry with three types of sea food. Often seafood at Thai places can be iffy, but this was 100% delicious. Thai Little Home is for sure our new go to place for thai food.

So delicious! Blows Thai Orchard out of the water! And is SO much cheaper! Would've given 5 stars but wasn't crazy about the salad rolls, not bad but not my favorite.

This place deserves 5 stars, not only do they have friendly, courteous service, the food is fresh, authentic and delicious! Everything is made from scratch. Im really quite shocked that Vancouver of all places has one of the best thai food restaurants around, really good food thats worth the low price considering the area. Another plus to this place is the fact that they deliver. What more can you ask for? Try the hot thai tea with glass noodles pad thai w/ chicken and tofu, plus the tom kha soup. Simply amazing.

We have lived by this little place for almost 3 years and never tried it out. Partly because of the exterior (which would be cute in a different location but ends up lookig shabby because of the surrounding buildings) and partly becuse of the quality of nearby restaurants. I am so happy we finally read the Yelp reviews and gave them a shot. They were friendly, quick, and made the best Pad Thai, pot stickers, and curry we've had in a long time. I can't wait to try some of the other items on the menu! I heart you Thai little home!

Thai Little Home had great service and excellent cuisine. I am new to Thai food, but visited this restaurant with my niece who spent the first 24 years of her life in Thailand. She recommended Tom Kha with shrimp (a mild coconut soup) served over shrimp fried rice. It was very good. The wait staff were courteous and attentive. I was so happy when leaving that I forgot my cane. The waitress arrived with it in the parking lot before I fell down. I guess the place made me feel better than I thought. My wife also liked the place and is new to Thai. More importantly perhaps, my neice liked it and was able to converse a bit in Thai with the staff. Very nice and friendly. I have been there 3 times now. I also recommend the Thai Iced tea. My niece tells me this is particularly good because it is not Thai iced tea mix, but real Thai iced tea. I am hoping to learn to make this beverage myself soon (and without using a mix).

Just moved to the area When I saw there was a Thai place with good reviews close to me I was excited. I jumped online and saw I could order with my phone, yay! that saves me time. But when I arrived 15 min later (as suggested by the online appointment) and found out they hadn't even begun my order, I was a little annoyed...but still excited about the food. Plus it just means it would be more fresh...right? Wrong. The won tons literally had no meat or fillings. They were deep fried pieces of dough. I thought the veggie wrap was supposed to have crab in it, but they didn't. And the curry/pad thai were flavorless. Tasted like something from the mall food court. pretty lame. My wife described it best, "meh" Sorry Thai Little Home, I'm going to have to keep trying Thai places til I find one that's awesome. Maybe we'll give it another try some time.

So my husband says that the best indicators of a good Thai restaurant are their Pad Thai and their Curry (any flavor). I disagree. For me, it's all about the Peanut Sauce, baby -- and Thai Little Home has pretty good Peanut Sauce. They even sell it in jars! Speaking of curry, they make an Avocado Curry that is delicious! Come to think of it, we've liked everything we've tried there. Like spicy? They've got you covered. No spicy? They'll do that too. The chicken dishes are always expertly done - no dry, dehydrated chicken here! Interesting note -- they'll deliver!! And... the water's good. :) It's our new "regular" spot for Thai. Give them a try -- I'll bet they become yours, too.

This is a solid place to pick up some takeout in the 'Couve. It is in a questionable neighborhood, but the service and food are very good. The Pad Thai is solid with great flavor. The Pra Ram was disappointing. It was a small portion and runny. It just lacked any wow factor in both flavor and presentation. If you're craving some thai, this is a great spot to get your fix. TIP: They deliver for just a $3 fee!

Let's get this straight: Thai Little Home is in a bad location. The tables are usually sticky, sometimes they miss the mark on seasoning, apparently they changed owners in the last year, the ambiance ranges from quiet to dead, and vegans don't seem overwhelmed with the experience. Got all that? OK. Thai Little Home stands on its own simply because it's the most authentic, delicious Thai food you will find in Vancouver, and for this, I love them. Yes, the pad Thai is great, but if you really want something you can't get anywhere else, go with something like this: Order a Thai iced tea/coffee to start, with a papaya salad as spicy as you think you can take it. If you think you're the champion, let them know that you really mean it when you say extra spicy. This is the way papaya salad was meant to be eaten, and all the sugary coconut milk in Thai iced tea will cut the heat in such a way that you hopefully won't be able to stop eating either one. There isn't another place around with a papaya salad that holds up to this one. For a big meal, I'd suggest Pad Kee Mao with shrimp (or beef if you don't do the seafood thing), all of the curries hold up well too... really anything on the menu that looks good to you is probably going to surprise you. It's all hearty food that feels home cooked, and though the prices aren't exactly inexpensive, they are miles away from overpriced. I really hope you enjoy it, because this place deserves to be around for a long time, and I can't support them entirely by myself.

Best pad thai in town. That's their slogan and it's the truth. I have tried literally almost every single thai restaurant in town and Thai Little Home comes out on top and it's not relatively close. My girlfriend and I visit so often the server knows what we want right when we walk in the door. Excellent service and a wonderful place to eat a meal. We will be back, again and again.

I am so glad I've found not only a good thai place in Vancouver, but one less than a mile from where I live that delivers! The food was comparable to most thai place in Portland, and decently priced. Not sure what's up with the two $$'s, it was about $9 for my pad see ew with shrimp. This will be my go to delivery place now for sure...the only other thing around here is crappy chain pizza places, so next time I'm having a lazy Saturday night and it's raining, I'll be ordering!

After receiving an very very deep and sincere apology from the restaurant, after they had read my review, I would like to say that because of their acknowledgment of the mistake, I am very excited about coming back here. If they truly cared about making their customers happy and loved what they do, a smart restaurant owner would research what their customers say about them and do what they can to improve themselves to keep people coming in; and that's what they have done. I am truly amazed and in awe that I was contacted by them, as I have never been before by anyone else who has cared so much. For that, I do respect them, and despite everything that I have said, will be more than happy to attend their place again. I am sorry for any hard feelings, though I will be honest and say that I wont take the previous review down, as what I said was true and was honest on the event of that day. Though, I will put many more reviews of their services up, as I attend each and every time. I hope no one will judge them entirely on my review. Thank you for contacting me, and helping me understand what had gone on that day.

Thai Little Home is a magical place in Vancouver. Situated on the not so magical Fourth Plain Road, they manage to create a cozy genuine atmosphere where truly delicious dishes are prepared. My favorite thing is their Tom Kha soup, the best description I can come up with is a Thai Creamy Tomato Soup, it is described as a sweet and sour soup with coconut milk, but I could swear theres tomatoes in there. It is velvety and dimensional. The Mussamun Curry is perfect in its spicy/sweetness balance. And the drunken noodles that were on special were amazing. Regrettably, I could not give Thai Little Home 5 stars because on my first visit I asked our waitress if the Thai and Japanese beers were light or dark. She replied she didnt know and did not make an attempt to ask anyone who would, or check the bottles for its color.

Awesome Thai food!! Great dishes, and wonderfully flavored. Only reason why not 5 stars is that the service is terrible. That said, the food is worth it. Give this place a chance, and with a little patience, you will not be disappointed.

Blah blah blah bad location. Sorry kids, the poor people in Vancouver need tasty eats too and this place brings it. I almost always get my dinner to go and its always great. The staff is very helpful and extremely polite. They keep you well hydrated or soda-ed while you peruse the menu and also while they cook up the amazing food. I've had a variety of things on the menu. The Pad Thai is great, as is the Pad Broccoli and yellow curry. Plus, this place delivers! That got the 5th firmly bolted down.

As a vegan Portlander who recently began working in Vancouver, I was super excited to find Thai Little Home, a restaurant that claims to be veggie-friendly. I called in advance to make sure that they can accommodate my diet, and at the restaurant I asked the waitress to tell me if anything I ordered could not be made vegan. She assured me that everything was fine and I sat at the sticky table (kinda gross, but not a deal-breaker), eagerly awaiting my first vegan meal in the Couve... Within about a minute of my food arriving, I bit in to a slab of fish in my salad roll. When I politely asked a nearby waiter about it, he confirmed that it was meat and walked away without an apology or any other response, and did not offer to remove the food from my table. Several minutes later, my waitress returned and apologized, but did not do anything to rectify the situation (offer me a free replacement or at least TAKE THE MEATY ROLL AWAY FROM THE TABLE!). I understand that everyone makes mistakes and this isn't the first time that I've been accidentally fed meat, but jeeeeeeze people, take it away from the table, offer a sincere apology, and provide me with a replacement (which would only cost them 75 cents). It shouldn't be this hard! So now I feel gross and unsatisfied and I will definitely not be returning. I should also note that all of the vegetables in my curry were cold. Really cold, like fresh out of the fridge/freezer and not-even-close-to-adequately heated during cooking. Dang. So, the search continues... Does anyone out there in yelp-land have a solid vegan food recommendation for Vancouver?

Totally underrated restaurant! Best Thai food I've ever had and I have been to many Thai Restaurants. I've been there about three times now and its consistently fresh and prepared at the same high level. The chef really knows what he/she is doing with a wok, everything that should be caramelized is caramelized, and everything that should be seared is properly seared. Check out the beef, It has a perfect sear on both sides, it is not over cooked, and they cut the meat against the grain to maximize tenderness. Looking at the other comments it seems that the low ratings are related to the service. Which is a shame because when I use yelp I'm looking for the best FOOD in the area, not the best service. If I wanted good service I would go to an Applebees.

I lived in the area, and after the nightmare that was 18th street and the horror that was Silver Dragon, I knew I was taking a gamble going to Thai Little Home. It paid off! The service is great, the inside of the restaurant is immaculate, and beautiful. Just don't judge the humble red building from the outside! I had the best curry of my life there - panang curry with fresh peaches! Their phad thai with tofu is also to die for! They have a regular menu and seasonal specials. The small amount of extra money and wait time for the food are 100% worth it, especially with all other options considered. They have beer and wine, with a quiet and almost romantic atmosphere. It would be great for a casual date. I have moved out of the area (thankfully!) and still drive to Thai Little Home. A word of warning, they do take a lunch break and close the restaurant, so call ahead if you can to make sure they'll be open when you want to come in.

I have been here for lunch quite a few times, and I ALWAYS get the tom yum noodle soup. For some reason it's not on the dinner menu. It's regular tom yum, in a big bowl, with rice noodles. It makes a delicious meal. For 50 cents extra you can get a salad roll to go with it. All the other dishes my fellow diners get are good, the service friendly, and the atmosphere quite nice. This is a family-owned and operated restaurant.

We had take out tonight for 6 people. We had Pad Thai with Chicken, Spring Rolls, Beef with mixed vegetables, Red Curry, White Rice, Chicken Satay, and Sticky Rice. Everything was great! The food was not greasy or oily at all. The meat and chicken were both very lean. The restaurant itself (physically) doesn't look attractive and wasn't in a great neighborhood BUT that doesn't say anything about the quality of the food/cuisine which was great.

By far this is one of the best kept Thai secrets in Vancouver. The food is always great and the meats are not over cooked. Its located in an odd area of Vancouver, but easy to get to. Everytime I have gone, there have only been a few other tables occupied. Which is perfect and makes it one of the best locations to have a quality dinner where you can actually talk. I've been here many times and look forward to returning each time.

My official office is in Vancouver and I'm always hard-pressed to find good vegan food on days when I'm in the 'Couve for work. Thai Little Home is a place I often end up at when co-workers and I decide to go out for a sit-down lunch. TLH provides friendly and quick service at the lunchtime hour. They are able/ willing to veganize most dishes (watch out for fish sauce as a standard ingredient in almost everything - you must ask to have it substituted - don't presume your food is vegetarian if you're getting tofu in it). I would probably give the food 2.5 stars, but I'm upping them to 3 stars because of the good service. The vegetarian offerings are nothing exceptional, but it is a good place for me to go with my omniverous co-workers. I always leave with a full stomach at modest prices.

Unfortunately, Yelp does not offer a rating below 1 star or I would have chosen it. My experience at this place was terrible. The people that work there only seem to be worried about money and not whether or not the service and cuisine offered will bring in return customers. My friend ordered the lemon-grass chicken. The menu described it as "topped" in peanut sauce. When it arrived it was floating in a gelatinous pool of peanut sauce. He had also explained to the server that he wanted it "medium." It was visibly covered in spoons-full of red chili peppers. After 2 bites he said he really could not eat it so I called over the server and explained that it was too hot and that it had no lemon-grass flavor. All one could taste was the peanut sauce. She explained that she could get him something else but we would have to pay for the lemon-grass chicken as well!! We left. I did not eat my meal, nor did my friend eat his meal, nor did we pay for the meals which we were obviously not enjoying. We will never go back to this place and I will make it a point to tell everyone I know that it is not worth it!

When I eat Thai food I want to eat authentic Thai food (or at least something close) and that's what you get here. The spices and flavor was wonderful, the staff were very friendly and helpful. I was just passing through and found the place using yelp on my phone, I'm glad I did.

Ok so let me just say this, 1 star because I called in and wanted to place an order for pickup, now I have eaten here before and I liked the food but calling in this time I was told "Sorry we are too busy to take your order (which would have only taken 1 minute) and please call us back in 20 minutes". I said to her "are you serious!?". She replied back, "Sir I am busy, call back in 20 minutes". My reply to her was, "I will call someone else who wants my business". This was horrible customer service!!

When you drive up to this place it looks like it has been closed, and closed for some time... but it is open. I am a pretty adventurous eater and have seen many a hole in the wall joint turn out to be an awesome find, even with this I had second thoughts. I went in and once I stepped over the threshold I walked into a cloud of the most amazing smells. Curry, spices and more got my mouth watering and sparked my appetite. To start we had the vegetable egg rolls, on the menu they mentioned they contained imitation crab which is a culinary cardinal sin in my book. When I asked they said they removed all imitation crab from their food, but the menus hadn't caught up. So all is forgiven. The egg rolls were great, light and crispy and the vegetables, cabbage and such inside were not over cook, perfectly done. Adding fish sauce and some chili paste made them all the better. My wife and I both had curry, I had the Green Curry and she had the Red. It was fantastic. We asked for it spicy and they delivered and how. The curry had bamboo shoots, eggplant and red and green peppers, not that much chicken but no worries. We were both very happy. The service was good, the young lady that served us was very nice and gave some good suggestions when asked. She was attentive but not overly so... the restaurant was pretty empty it was about 1:30 PM. I liked this place, I have had better Thai food, but I'd have to say this is better than most Thai Places you'd encounter. Pok Pok in Portland being the gold standard, this is the best in Vancouver but a distant second to Pok Pok. But that is an unfair comparison in any case. If you are in Northwest Vancouver and you need a convenient Thai fix this place will more that do the job.

The only reason this did not get 5 stars is that the wait staff is spotty. The first time I came here it was with a large group. The food came out one or two plates at a time. The waitress seems pretty ticked that we had such a large sized group. About 12 of us. Second time I went with my husband & two daughters for Valentine's Day. Better service but my daughter's food was so spicy she couldn't eat it. MAKE SURE YOU TELL THEM YOUR SPICE LEVEL, that was my fault, not theirs. I should have said not hot, she is only 12. I have since then gotten take out a half dozen times. Love their food. Very authentic Thai. Salmon Panang Curry Pad Se-Ew is so good, Pad Thai. salad rolls, Avocado Green Curry.... I could go on & on. Take out is pretty fast since they use EAT app to order. My advice is to go in, sit down, take your time, order what looks good, tell them your spice level. Then start getting take out. We have better luck eating it at home :)

I had dinner here again and it is official, Thai Little Home is our weekly dinner stop. Back in SF, one of my comfort foods (and my favorite dish) was Kua Kai at Osha Thai Geary. This is a warm, savory pan fried noodle dish on a bed of greens that includes scrambled egg and chicken. I used to pig out on this dish like a fat kid who loves cake! Thai Little Home makes a dish that is damned near the same and it is called Kuar Gai. You must order it. I consider it to be the mac and cheese of Thai food. Warm, tummy soothing and inviting. There is something about it that tastes like grandma's old, seasoned skillet - a taste that you can't put a finger on but will recognize instantly. It is bomb! Eat at Thai Little Home! It is the best Thai food in Vancouver and better than any Thai food I've had on the West Coast!

Have gone to TLM for years now. Staff is so nice and remember me and what I usually order. Mango delight or cashew nut! Yum. Salad rolls with peanut sauce is fab. I but the sauce in the bottle! Always enjoy dinning in, taking it to go or having food delivered to my home. Highly recommended.

This place was a surprise - and a great one at that! My mom and I needed a place to grab some food after flying home one Sunday evening, and this happened to be on the way and open. I was blown away! It has countless menu items, some of which I've never seen on a Thai menu - avocado green curry, pumpkin curry, salmon items - plus all of the traditional entrees. The food was incredibly fresh with great flavor. Great service!! Be sure to try the homemade Thai tea or coconut ice creams - a great way to cool down after some delicious spiciness! The restaurant doesn't look like much from the outside, but don't let that stop you - it's the best Thai food I've had in Vancouver yet!

This is a hole in the wall Thai Restaurant. But don't let the rough looks of the outside deceive you! The inside is very clean and full of wonderful Thai food smells! They make the best food and to your desire! Great Friendly service and respectful cooking time. They cook seafood perfectly and not too much! Always helpful and willing to replace a meal that is not to you liking! WOW...who does that anymore! They even have the most wonderful Thai ice tea Ice Cream! Best ever! Highly recommended place to go eat and quiet too! :)

Awesome! Their Pad Kee Mao is my favorite. Pad Prik Khing is also delish. I haven't tried anything here that was less than great. I love their peanut sauce. Their avocado curry is awesome. This is my go to Thai place! Very well priced, and good portions. Almost every item on the menu can be made vegetarian.

It was OK. What we ordered tasted bland for Thai food.

A Great Thai spot, prefacing it with being in Vancouver. Their Tom Kha Soup is outstanding, common lunch spot for me and has only disappointed once in roughly 30ish meals.

My friends and I affectionately call this place "Ghetto Thai", but the food is awesome. Every time I go out to a new Thai place, I compare their Chicken Pad Thai to Ghetto Thai's, and usually find it wanting.

The best Pad Thai I have ever had. Not to say I've had a lot...but it was GOOD! Do not be put off by the neighborhood or the outside of the joint, as soon as you walk inside you are greeted by a warm and inviting atmosphere and the delicious smells of spicy food. Yum! Love Thai Little Home!

I had to upgrade an earlier review, after giving this place a second try. I just need it to be as good as it looks from the outside.. and it was better this time. It's not fancy, and the prices could be better.. but the Tom Kha Gai soup was delicious. Like many asian restaurants, they would do better with less oil and less salt.. but that's a subjective thing. With more time and more customers, this place could be great.

I have been to Thai Little Home twice even though I lived on 4th plain for a whole year without going there. I can't believe I never tried it then, because the dishes are SO flavorful. You can add your own amount of spice if desired and the flavors are beautifully full like you expect of good Thai. The curries are the best. The noodle dishes are wonderful as well. Food service was fast! The first time we went there we were the only people in the restaurant and I wonder why...because the food was amazing. I will most certainly go back. Don't let the location on 4th plain turn you off to trying this great restaurant.

  • Kristin W.

Given it's location, I was admittedly surprised at how great the food was. My boyfriend had red curry and I had pad thai and both were great and much spicier than most places - awesome! I have only been here once but will certainly be back.

Very tasty Thai food! Vegetarian friendly. Helpful staff. I ordered a dish that turned out to be too spicy for me, and they brought out a milder version, for no charge.

  • Chuck H.

Very cutely decorated and fast service. The food was just a little off. I had Cashew Nut Chicken, the portions seemed small and there was little to no sauce. It tasted more like teriyaki chicken w/ nuts. Certainly not like Cashew Chicken in other Thai restaurants. My partner ordered the Thai Noodle Soup. The soup tasted more like stewed grass. Not our favorite. I guess we are just Pho people.

Went here for lunch at least once a week during high school (was just down the street), and they have the best pad thai you'll find anywhere. Any time I come back to visit vancouver, I try and stop by. All of their dishes have wonderful flavor and are reasonably priced.

This place is great. If you just looked at it from the outside you would probably just keep driving, but you do yourself a favor and stop. The quality and flavor of the food is very good and the price is very reasonable. The pad thai is the best I've ever had and the yellow curry and the pad see ew are really good as well!

They deliver! Service is great everytime we have been there and had delivery. Food is good. I always ask for extra sauce with the pad thai. The pumpkin curry is one of my favorites

I really give it no stars, I was extremely disappointed in this place. I ordered the pineapple fried rice and I literally couldn't eat it, it tasted so awful. I've had it many times before at other Thai restaurants and loved it every time. I very nicely told the server and she said "Nobody else has complained", offered no resolve and walked away. I would have ordered something else and paid for both, but I was very disgusted with her response on top of the food. Will definitely look for another place for Thai in Vancouver.

Ordered delivery from this place and it was great. Prompt on time delivery. Great Thai Ice Tea (which you can customize if you wish to change the cream) Chicken Satay was awesome Tom Kha was just the right amount of spice for me and still had really good flavors Teriyaki Chicken was on point as well. Great job guys.

  • Trentin P.

This is a very unassuming place. From the outside I didn't know what to expect but I was presently surprised. I had the Mango Delight and Chicken Satay. The Satay was great, nice thick pieces of chicken and plenty of peanut sauce. The Mango Delight was filling (I couldn't finish), sweet with a savory side too. The staff were very friendly and fast although I should say this place seems like a popular lunch spot so the staff had their work cut out for them. I will defiantly return.

I hate to be negative, but........ Hubby and I were ammo shopping in Vancouver and needed some lunch, I launched Yelp and this place looked promising. It appears to be a family owned restaurant and it is old and not in a very nice neighborhood, kind of scary actually. The food, I ordered the Tom Yum Noodle, minus the squid and bean sprouts. It was ok, but did not have that tang that I normally associate with Tom Yum. They were very generous with the protein however. Hub got his usual Pad Khee- Mao with skinny noodle and chicken, he asked for it spicy. It looked like it should, smelled like it should but it actually tasted very bland, no spice or flavor at all. The service was impeccable. The thing that grossed me out the most was the general filth of the restaurant. I know the building is old, but the filth on the walls, windows and floor can be cleaned. The door to the restroom is painted white, but looks black from all the built up dirt, it is just disgusting, the entire place needs a really good scrub from the floors to the ceiling.

I came here often for lunch when I worked in the area. Lunch specials are a good deal for what you get. I like their pad kee mao and pad thai. It was delicious and definitely satisfied my hunger. Spice levels were perfect for me and they refill your water consistently. First time having tom yum soup and it was heart warming, especially during the winter months. Great price for lunch and it comes with noodles, protein, veggies, and crispy wontons. Looks a little shady in this part of town but the restaurant is pretty nice and service has been good. I haven't been here any other times except for lunch but I do recommend the affordable lunch menu.

Consistently great food. I love the curries, pad thai, salad rolls, potstickers, and the thai iced tea. Delivery takes a while sometimes, but its worth it!

Masaman curry and silver noodles curry was lacking flavour and it was watery. I asked for thai hot and it was sweet. The portion was small, and not many veggies. The noodles were fine flavour was nice my only complaint with the noodles was the portion small. Waittress was very warm and firendly.

Fresh spring roll appetizer was perfect for two! We added shrimp. I had the yellow curry it was so good! Medium was plenty spicy. My boyfriend had the Avocado curry with pork- the dish was beautiful! Service was great our server was so sweet! And had knowledgable suggestions about beer pairing. We had to have dessert.. The fried coconut ice cream...AMAZING

One of the best Thai places in Vancouver. The customer service is impeccable, the lady at the front desk was very polite. The restaurant has a family feeling to it. The food is amazing as well, I'm pretty picky with my Thai food. The Chicken Pad Thai is more on the sweeter side which is the way I like it. Some restaurants make it more salty. I also tried the Drunken noodles, Aaamazing. They made the noodles perfect. I've never had them made that good before. The peanut sauce is nice and thick, great quality. Not watered down. The best part is they deliver! I only know of one other Thai restaurant that delivers. Truly an enjoyable place to eat. Prices are good. Has become my go to Thai restaurant.

Thai Little Home is my spot for Shrimp Fried Rice! First time here tho', I tried the Spicy Beef Salad, #18. I tried it 5 Star spicy and it was Awesome! Sweetness and I have tried the Larb, Tom Yum (More Wonton w/this one please!), Sizzlin' Spicy Seafood, Papaya Salad, Calamari Pad Thai and Tom Kha. All of it has been good each time we have come here. A few weekends ago, actually a Friday night, we stopped at a Thai spot over on Hawthorne in Portland. It was a bit more upscale, or at least was trying to be. We were impressed with our treatment and the aura of the place, but the food was a tier below Thai Little Home. So far it is the one place in Vancouver that has not let us down.

Delicious food, friendly, fast service. We had medium spicy fried rice, pad tai and cashew chicken. We also had the Spring Rolls with peanut sauce. I would have given 5 stars but the pad tai was stuck together and it is a bit pricy:)

We decided to come here for the first time because a friend of my husbands told him this was the best Thai resturaunt in Vancouver. We were not disappointed! It is a small place, but the food and service were excellent. Everything was fresh and clean.

The older girl is rude and the food just is not consistent. i have had a rocky time eating here. It is very convenient because its so close to my house, but im just not going to go there anymore. the delivery is a bit hit or miss at times because the schedule of the driver. orders are done through a online system that they make you call if the driver schedule is wrong. when i brought this up they became so defensive the older girl in the back rushed up to me yelling at me. the food is good don't get me wrong but it is not good every time. for these reasons they are kinda a ehhh in my book.

I've eaten here for lunch several times and always have had a good experience. I order the spring rolls w/peanut sauce and yellow chicken curry w/white rice. Great flavor and just right on spice. The only place I'll eat Thai in Vancouver. Period.

Best Thai restaurant in Vancouver! I love they're chicken Pad Thai and I'm very particular with how my chicken Pad Thai is prepared! The staff and service is awesome. The best part is THEY DELIVER! It is so convenient to be able to order over the phone or even online and have them deliver dinner to your door! If you love Thai food, this is definitely a must!!!

I've been a faithful fan of TLH for over 3 years. When I first moved to the area, I was desperate to find decent Thai. This place is solid! From legit spice level to great service...TLH has (almost) never disappointed and is my go-to spicy thai-joint. Be sure to try: Khee Mao, Basil Fried Rice, Masamun Curry, Tom Kah soup (chicken or prawns) salad rolls (with or without tofu), mango with sweet sticky rice dessert. Dine-in or take out, super delish! Beware: Occasionally the food is just good...usually it is fantastic! Probably a function of who is cooking and/or ingredient quality variance. And, typical of all places with spicy items, you have to establish your credibility to tolerate spice. Order mild or medium if you dislike spice. But ask for a 4 or 5 star if you want your meal to pack a punch.

  • Kimberly G.

Tasty food with fair pricing. Looking from the outside it may appear less than desirable but give it a chance. It's clean and the food is consistently good. Portions are decent and the staff is friendly. Try the tom yum soup with an order of sticky rice. Salad rolls made with shrimp are always a winner. My boyfriend says the shrimp fried rice is the best in Vancouver out of about 5 different places he has tried. I like all of their food and will go back often.

With four stars average and in our path of travel on a recent day in Vancouver for real estate tire kicking we stopped in for lunch. Our experience left us thinking this is a good enough choice in a pinch, although not in our opinion a four star average destination Thai restaurant. LOCATION & NEIGHBORHOOD Conveniently located right on the main drag with ample parking in their lot, some have described this as a bad neighborhood. It is not. Sandwiched between a Vietnamese Market and a 7-Eleven on a busy street in a lower income, mostly older apartment buildings and aging storefronts area this is exactly the lower rent area that one would expect small, mom and pop, ethnic restaurants to be in for affordability of spaces. For my two bits, I'd say ignore the "bad neighborhood" cautionary comments. AMBIANCE Some have commented that the place was less than bright or clean when they visited.. We found it sparkling with faux wood tables that looked pretty new and comfortable chairs with vinyl seats. Sure the carpet is a bit frayed and the building has seen better days, but we thought it seemed darned well maintained inside. We felt as if it displayed pride of ownership. Sound system was set to a nice low level with setting appropriate music. We felt welcome. SERVICE Subdued and not particularly warm or fast but we were in no rush. Pay at the register on your way out. FOOD & VALUE. We ordered from the lunch menu. Pad Thai with tofu, based on other reviewer raves for the Pad Thai, and a ginger stir fry with lots of veggies. My husband and I thought the dishes were fair for flavors but very much the American eater Asian food formats of modest seasonings that my dad would enjoy. We'll give kudos to the kitchen for the onions, peppers and mushrooms in the stir fry being perfectly tender. But the sauce seemed to have quite a bit of soy, not what we expected, and the Pad Thai was not the best we've had. Good enough for being hungry in a pinch but this is not PaaDee or Red Onion or Pok-Pok or Chiang Mai, all Portland located Thai places within 20 minutes of here. Our entrees and one fresh salad roll to share came in under $15 after tax. Good value. ACCESSIBILITY No marked accessible parking spots in lot but level in building from lot. Level throughout restaurant. All standard height table seating.

They are so friendly here. Every time I come in to get a to-go order, they always offer me tea and strike up conversation. The lunch specials are an amazing deal at just under $7 and the food comes out really fast if you are in a hurry for lunch. I wish they had more Thai dishes, but these are done quite well and the service has always been excellent. A great place for lunch if you are in a hurry and in the area.

Drove up here from Gresham to pick up something from Craigslist and luckily ran into this little place. The decor of the restaurant is very cute. I ordered the sad rolls and they honestly weren't my favorite. The peanut sauce is delicious though. I also got the Pad Thai and man am I glad I did. It has a lot of flavor and is kind of sweet. My friend got the chicken teriyaki and she loved it. My Thai iced tea was very good. Will be returning!

Our family LOVE TLH! I moved here from the east coast and chinese food was my favorite until I found Thai cuisine. This place is a small pleasant surprise don't let the location scare you away. If we get take out this is the place! The food is always cooked perfectly, no soggy over done veggies here, the flavors are always well balanced. The pad woon sen is fantastic, lots of veggies, the basil fried rice has great texture and flavor, my husband loves the sizzling beef, and ginger pad dishes. The curries are truly some of the best I have ever had. I love that I can customize spice and ingredients for my kids it's a big big plus. Thanks again TLH for cooking a healthy dinner, so that I get the night off.

There aren't very many good places to eat Thai food in Vancouver so I was happy to have stumbled across Thai Little Home. Things I've tried: - Thai Iced Tea - Potstickers - Cashew Nut Chicken - Sizzling Beef - Deep Fried Coconut Ice Cream Overall, everything was pretty tasty. The chicken was a little on the dry side but the flavors were awesome.

Great food. One of the best thai restaurants I've been at. I would recommend the green curry and wonton soup. Also really good pai thai too. I would give 5 stars if they were open earlier on Sundays.

One of my fav Thai restaurants! Regardless of the location, this place definitely deserves 5 stars. I first stumbled here for a desperate curry fix. I ordered the pineapple curry w/shrimp. It was delicious; perfect amount of heat, sweetness, nd spices. For the next two years I've returned nd never have I been disappointed! From their salad rolls, pad see ew, nd soups, they all have been great. Another plus is that they're really friendly people, for times I've called for to go or dined in. It's always nice to feel the love when your supporting a small restaurant. The only tip I'd give when you order curry is that if you like the extra soup, you'd have to ask for it in a separate bowl. Or else they'll just put a spoon full over your rice. No biggie to cause any deduction of stars. Highly recommend to try this place out!

One of my FAVORITE Thai places in Vancouver!! I have had the Chicken Pad Thai, Beef and Broccoli, Fried Wontons, Fresh Spring Rolls, and Mossumun Curry, and everything I have ever eaten here is WONDERFUL! The food is perfect. I love Thai food and I would say that this place is easily the best Thai place in Vancouver in terms of the food. The customer service, however, is another story. I have been here a to tell of 3 times. One online order pickups and two dine ins. All 3 times, I experienced horrible customer service. The first time when I did my pick up order, they gave my food to the women in front of me, realized what they did then had be proceed to wait 40 minutes while they made me food again without saying a word to me. I had to walk up to the woman at the front desk to ask what was taking so long and she walked away without answering. After finally receiving my food that I waited 40 minutes for, they did not apologize for the delay or even make any form of gesture to offer their regret for the mistake. I understand it's human error but it was ridiculous. The 2 dine-in experiences my friend and I had the same male waiter both times and each time he does not say a word, just stands there expecting us to order when he comes around (because if you don't then it will take another 20 minutes for him to come back). He never came around throughout either meal to refill out glasses of water. On both occasion, my friend had to walk up to him to ask for to-go containers and the bill since we had been waiting around for it for a good 20 minutes. Instead of giving it to my friend in that moment, he took another 5 minutes to actually bring it to us. I will continue to return to this Thai place because I adore the food! But I do not enjoy the customer service at all.

Try the specials - especially the avocado green curry, the stir fried green beans, and the mango stir fy. We also like their coconut ice cream. Spiciness can be a little variable - medium can be fairly time one day, and evilly hot the next week.

Been going here for a few years, I think not any longer, food consistency has plummeted, tonite's massuman had undercooked veggies, and tasteless. Cleanliness has dropped off as well, wife used ladies room and said she would not do that again. Saw more of the same area's dirty after last visit, they're just not cleaning. Too bad.

I have been going here for many years now, always great tasting food comes out of this kitchen. When I first walked in I did not know what I was getting into. But when my food came I could not stop eating, I had to remind myself I can always get more. Thai peanut is my favorite entree. But I will go just for the fresh veggie rolls. I do recommend this to people who like fresh, tasty, home style Thai food.

I had an order delivered, when it came I realized (after the delivery person left) that it was missing an item. Before I even called, the delivery person was at my door with not only the missing item, but a free soda to make up for the mistake. This place is always excellent, and the service is awesome.
