This is a buffet, so take it for what it is. I'm am an Asian so I know how wonderful and diverse Asian cooking can be, so why the four stars? As an Asian' Cantonese buffet is sort of the comfort food (that and Pho ) that one comes back too. And of the many buffets in town this is one of the best. The sugar count is not too high compared to many Asian eateries - a concession to the Cacasians. And the food in general tends to be cooked wtih an untypical care for a buffet. One needs to have a plan for buffets. Rather than eating everything, sample around untill you come for specific dishes. With that in mind, the Sushi is more that eatable, but I can pig out on the clams, the salt and pepper calamari, beef and mushrooms, broccoli and chicken, and the fried cream wontons. Toss in some dumplings, sesame beef. noodles and vegies and I'm a happpy camper. The drinks are always refilled and tables are clean. As a senior lunch is six dollars; compare that with ten dollars for clams or shushi alone elsewhere and it's a super deal.

A Taste of Asia is my favorite buffet type restaurant. They have a good selection of tasty food and replenish the offerings regularly.

OK - I have ordered to go food from Taste of Asia before for just myself and it was great. Funny, though I don't remember a minimum order amount. I called the other day when I had been deserted by my family and thought about Taste of Asia.I called and placed my order and said, that's it. The guy on the other end of the phone (possibly the owner?) said there's a $20 minimum order, (my order came to like $11) perhaps I'd like to order some crab puffs or something else...what??? $20 for ONE person. I'd be having a diabetic coma or bouncing off the walls if I had $20 worth of food from here. I was pretty ticked. I see no mention on their menu that there's a minimum order (am I blind?). Anyway, I just want others to be aware that there is a minimum of $20 for any delivery orders. I probably won't be calling them again because of this. Or, if I did, I wouldn't be tipping cause you just used up your tip in the minimum order.

Best buffet I've ever been to! Food is fresh and tasty, with good variety and cheap beer. Plus, the owners and staff are really friendly. LOVE!

My new favorite Chinese food place! things to know: awesome buffet, snow crab on buffet at dinner time, less than $14.00 for dinner, they deliver.

Food was dry. Not much variety. There are much better quality and affordable chinese buffets nearby.

I love the food and very nice people. Their buffet is varied and delicious. They have put together a well-rounded service, with easy online ordering that they'll even deliver. We just moved to Vancouver and I'm glad they're in the neighborhood!

A friend of mine introduced me to this place, and I really like it. I have had a difficult time finding a Chinese restaurant around me that I like since I moved to Portland 6 years ago. It is well worth the drive over the bridge for me.

Taste of Asia is DA BOMB!!!! Great food, nice servers, and the seafood is amazing. Love, love, love the oysters and mussels. The rest of the food is just what the dr. ordered. I eat there at least once a week and think you all should go there if you like chinese food!

Fabulous buffet, very fresh. Highlights include the Honey-Pepper Chicken, the BBQ Pork (which is moist & flavourful, unlike the red-tinged cardboard you normally associate with BBQ Pork), and the fresh-fried shrimps. Inexpensive and busy, which means that there is a good turnover of items. Very friendly staff, too!

  • Melissa M.

We have a couple different Chinese buffets in town, but this is the best. I love the orange chicken and egg flour soup. Everything is fresh and they even have a good selection of Sushi.

  • Danielle R.

It's your typical Chinese lunch buffet with a few extras including some limited sushi rolls (I avoid those), lots of chicken, mushroom and veggie dishes and of course a myriad of bite-sized battered and fried animal and seafood parts. After stuffing yourself into a food coma - waddle your way over to the self-serve soft-serve ice cream station and go to town! You have to get your $7.30 worth, right?

My boyfriend and I decided to check this place out after seeing a fellow buffet lover mention it in another review. Long story short, I feel like my $8 for the lunch buffet was a deal! We were immediately greeted at the door and seated. They were fairly busy with it being lunchtime, but there was still plenty of room and privacy in the booths. Our server walked by frequently to check on us, and everyone was very friendly. We've frequented Canton Chinese Buffet, and longed for some better crab puffs. Taste of Asia more than delivered. I took the buffet as a means to sample all their dishes, and the only one I didn't care for was their Pineapple Chicken. Just a mouthful of sweet. I loved the Oriental Chicken Salad, and their teriyaki chicken. He really loved the potstickers and the sweet and sour pork. They had a nice selection of sushi and salad rolls even. The food was well cooked, not greasy and fresh. We saw them bring out new pans of food just about every few minutes. It was really cool how they had a microphone to just tell the kitchen what to cook! It seemed like we didn't eat very much, but 4 hours later we're still full! We will definitely be back to this place. Who knows, we might even try the delivery next time?!

  • Shawn S.

As for the buffet, don't bother. Came in for a dinner about 7:45 and the food is all room temperature or cold. Tried probably half of the selections. The flavor doesn't seem bad, but I'm worried about the quality of what I'm eating. The food is probably better if you order off the menu and get it freshly made. There are other buffets worth going to though.

TOA is like a hamburger with delicious buns but the meat and contents are hardly better than a fast food burger. The great aspect of TOA is that they deliver where most restaurants would not. The prices are fair and ordering is easy. The food is just average Chinese and not much better than Panda Express. Their stir frys are tasty and fried rice too for $1 add on. Most of the American deep fried dishes have been pretty soggy and lacking a good crunch. I think Panda does better in that regard. The gyoza app far from delivered to my minimal expectations. All in all, if you feel like Chinese and don't feel like leaving home, this might be your place.

  • Michelle S.

If you like Chinese food and you like Buffets - This is the place. constantly changing out the dishes, making sure everything is fresh, lots of variety to choose from and extremely reasonable prices. This place has become a weekly tradition for myself and my son and I would take ANYONE there that likes chinese food!

  • Candra G.

They are amazing! They're very friendly there. We got the delux combo and egg rolls. They were fantastic! They almost taste like they have coconut on their outer shell. I love the chow mein with pan fried noodles!!! They deliver the food within an hour of ordering it. The food is hot and ready. Bummer that they don't deliver chopsticks with the meals; but that's only for fun. I wind up going to the flatware anyway.

This is a Buffet American Chinese style Restaurant; I and my wife have eaten here 3-4 X per year every year over the past 5-6 years and have never left hungry. So decided to bring my recently immigrated from Russia Daughter in Law plus young daughter[5 yrs old] here for some American style Chinese Cuisine. I have always found this Restaurant clean,The food is wholesome and tasty also plenty of it; The folks here are most friendly too and service is good;! And might I mention the price is easy on the pocket-Book?" We will return again!"

Their delivery crew is amazing, so nice and they serve the some of the best Asian good around. I work at a hotel and I always recommend them to my guests. The only reason I cannot give this place 5 stars is because when I went to the actual restaurant to sit down and eat at the buffet, I experienced the worst customer service I had ever received. We came in about 20 minutes to closing (not knowing it closed at 9) and our waiter sat us down, gave us plates and said we had 20 minutes to eat, then every 5 minutes came to our table trying to take plates repeating how much time we had left to eat. She would walk past our table coughing and the staff starred at us waiting here for us to eat. The lady who cashed us out rolled her eyes and was extremely rude. I will never eat at the restaurant again, I will only order delivery.

  • Geoff P.

Probably the best Asian buffet I have ever had. The buffet runs about $8 during lunch, but they have quite the selection. The food comes out constantly on the buffet, so I have yet to have something really old. If you are in a hurry and want some decent Chinese, come here. They also have a menu and delivery if eating at the buffet isn't an option. A good choice for lunch.

  • Pete H.

Very mixed feelings about this place. The food was mostly decent, although some of the cuts of meat were questionable. The hot and sour soup that they lauded (sign next to it), was not good at all. If you are going to make a big deal out of something, maybe you should put some effort into it. The service is TERRIBLE. After being seated, I only saw my server once, I asked for a refill, and...to her credit...she did come back, but not until I had given up and was walking to the cash register to get out of there. I wanted to like this place, but if it were possible, I would give them 1.5 stars, vs. the 2 that I gave.

  • Joshua T.

Taste of Asia has some really variety of foods Chinese or Asian speaking foods only though. They have anywhere from sushi is to Mongolian beef or just the traditional Chinese food that everyone likes to eat. There Mongolian beef seems very decent more pleasurable than a panda express. There will dined restaurant that's actually doing fairly well. They've got great sushi is a pretty decent prices you can't go wrong with sushi. To group place to take somebody on a date if you guys enjoy seafood to some extent or sushi or just Asian food in general. I do recommend us to some extent I wouldn't say it's the greatest but it's not bad to eat there. If you're in the area check it out for yourself you might like it more than what I did. Not that I didn't like it but I know of other places greater

I have had many curry dishes, but none compare to Taste of Asia's curry chicken. And they deliver!

  • David R.

A great buffet with a very wide selection of food choices. Never been unhappy with the quality or the atmosphere at this excellent restaurant. Servers are a little slow sometimes on checking back with the table and are a bit reserved, but not rude. Makes for a peaceful dining experience which is a buffet so food ready to go as soon as your get your drink order in. We drive from way across town to come. Try it out!

This is one of the places where we go for lunch with my co workers. I like the selection of food and the staff are nice. The other Chinese Buffett I've been to are not that pleasant with the customer.

Is this one related to the foodcart down on SW 3rd, does anyone know? How about the diner by the same name out in Hillsboro? For some reason, this place came pretty highly recommended by colleagues. I have no recollection of being sensitive to MSG but I sure felt lousy after this meal, including the low dull, yucky headache. Bleaaagghh. Run of the mill Chinese Buffet, complete with the forlorn little sushi corner. I didn't see any soup anywhere either---too bad! I do like the egg flower soup, and it's hard to louse that up even in an "el cheap-o" eatery (I'd love to learn how to say "el cheapo" in Mandarin/Cantonese... anyone know out there, by all means, make haste to pm me!

  • Pepper H.

I've ordered from here 3x so far (delivery). The person answering the phone has an accent, but does better than anywhere else as far as answering complicated questions and understanding. The delivery person is always quick and friendly and the food is ok. I love the lo mein noodles (plain) but I don't think the pork fried rice is anything special. I've tried General Tso's chicken (it was ok) and Sesame Chicken (it was very good, but fried and no sauce so it wasn't what I was looking for). I'm still on the look out for a sweet but spicy sauced breaded/fried sesame chicken, which seems to be almost impossible to find.

Used to be a huge fan of this place. Taste of Asia was my favorite Chinese place in Vancouver for a couple of years until my last visit. I payed 25 dollars for myself and a 3 year old who up until that visit always ate for free. The food was sub par, the restaurant was a bit slow but usually this place keeps the Buffett stocked and fresh anyway... Not anymore. The service, which used to be decent went to shit too, a server came to my table while on the phone, I never got my bill and when we tried to leave, we had to wait at the register almost 10 minutes just to pay. I was so sad, taste of Asia was a biweekly ritual for my son and I we have been regulars for over a year, but I don't think we'll be back. For 25 bucks we can go almost anywhere else.

What an awesome find! This is now my favorite Chinese buffet restaurant and I keep coming back for more. They not only have a variety of delicious Chinese entrees but they also have a variety of different Asian cuisines like sushi or Thai curry. Many other Chinese restaurant lack in service and quality but I find Taste of Asia to stand out in both of these areas. Their servers are quick to meet my requests and they never act like they're annoyed or unavailable. I find their food to be always fresh and their ingredients to be at a much higher quality than other Chinese restaurants I've been to. Recently I've discovered their Chinese food delivery service which is absolutely amazing for a busy mom with a newborn like me. It's not always easy for us to go out with a baby and my cooking certainly doesn't come close to Taste of Asia's. I can simply order togo and have them deliver our meal to my front steps. If we eat out of the box, I don't even have to do dishes!! Everyone really needs to try TOA out for either their buffet or delivery. I'm sure you won't be disappointed!

I was pleasantly surprised at the quality of food served by this establishment. I had read about it on a Facebook thread a while back and decided to give it a try. Initially I was surprised that it had a buffet as I expected menu service. My wife shies away from buffets since she is sensitive to MSG, so she ordered off the menu and I had the buffet. She had a mango chicken dish which she liked and left with lots of leftovers. The buffet includes many salad and dessert options by the way. There were numerous fried appetizer-type items including potstickers, mini egg rolls, fried shrimp, etc. there as one shrimp dish, in particular, with vegetables that was really tasty. Another dish I enjoyed was a chicken curry dish. All the dishes were fresh and hot. The buffet seemed well stocked and kept clean. The bigger surprise to me was the price; $7.99 !!! On a Sunday afternoon, no less ! Give them a try. I know I'll be back.

My fiancé and I frequent here & it's a treat! This is my go to "cheat meal". I have ordered to go and eaten the buffet it's always fresh food and friendly service. I don't understand the negative reviews? This is our favorite little "hole in the wall" place to go for Asian So authentic and tasty seriously worth it!!!!

The quality and variety at Taste of Asia caught me by surprise. Sure, there were a few fried items but the buffet is not overly "Americanized" like most chinese buffet restaurants. This is a place where they deliver quality over quantity so they do not require row after row of food. There is sushi offered in the buffet and it is pretty decent for buffet sushi standards. There is a small dessert selection that includes the regular soft serve machine, but it also has little squares of this amazing chocolate coffee sponge cake. I liked this cake so much that I found myself keep going back for more, and that never happens to me with dessert at a chinese buffet. I can't leave out the people who run the place. They are very nice, especially the gentleman who was running the payment desk. We sat in good earshot to him and he was super friendly chatting it up with customers and asking regulars about specifics in their lives. Very welcoming atmosphere, but the only thing it was missing was some soft music playing in the background. We have been to another asian buffet in town since our visit to Taste of Asia and it just reinforced the fact that this place is one if the best.

So when I called in for food to go I thought I was calling another place we like to go to, oops. Some how I got mixed up when I looked up the phone number. Anyway, we discovered my error when the wife showed to pick up our food at the other place and they didn't have our order. An unhappy wife and a bag of food later, we sat down to eat. We ordered Kung Pao chicken, Orange chicken, and hot and sour soup. The Kung Pao was huge and my wife commented later probably the best she has had in Vancouver, lots of vegetables and good flavor. The Orange chicken was decent, and the hot and sour was tasty with good flavor and lots of goodies. Needless to say it was a happy accident by me calling the wrong place which now looks like the right place. We will be back to try other dishes soon! Happy wife equals happy life, thanks Taste of Asia.

  • Robert B.

Just your standard, sub-par Chinese buffet. Some items were really good, others had spent way too much time under the heat lamp, other items (like the pineapple) were just bad and should never have been put out for consumption. The service was mediocre to say the least.

    (2)
  • Jason B.

This restaurant is in a class I refer to as "ODC" - Old Dirty Chinese. The food you're going to get is predictable americanized hong kong comfort food. It's greasy and it's salty and it's spicy sweet and tangy and it fulfills a certain need in your diet. They also deliver - and boy howdy do they deliver fast. You order from their website, and food is at your place in under 40 minutes. Cold night and you don't feel like putting on pants? Maybe you're enjoying one of Washington's new legal vices and just can't be bothered to make it off the couch? You have a cold and just need a big fat bowl of hot soup to hover on? This place will hook you up. It ain't fantastic, but sometimes fantastic ain't what you need. What you need is lo mein and potstickers, pronto!

    (3)
  • Josue G.

This place is over rated. They may have won an award in 2007 (7yrs ago), but now the food is mediocre. The wife and I were not impressed at all. We will NOT be returning. The food does not taste fresh, the seasoning was not good... in short, the taste was Blah. The food was also lukewarm/cold. Not even hot! The old building isn't attractive either.

    (1)

The food is very good I've never really had anything bad from there but the owner SHE really needs to improve her social skills.

    (3)
  • Tahsi P.

This place is awful.. I came during my lunch hour today and the food looked like it had been sitting for quite sometime. So much for "fresh", which is why I am not surprised to be in bed and suffering from food poisoning 8 hours later. That's right people, this place gave me food poisoning!!! They don't even deserve the one star and I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone!

    (1)
  • Jan K.

Pretty good place, nothing fancy but food was tasty and service was very friendly. Price was reasonable for buffet, lots of choices. Would return again.

    (3)
  • Bradley B.

The only thing better than the food was the friendly staff. Owner was super busy with phone orders, but seemed grateful for all his guests. Very refreshing! We're coming back!

  • Winnie F.

Gross, gross and gross. Stay away. Expensive and food are disgusting. Can't believe I'm saying this, but you're better off going to Panda Express. I can name many other Chinese buffets that can beat the taste of Asia in quality and price. The one star I am giving is for the service- they do have good people working there.

    (1)
  • Loren U.

Service is good, and the food tastes great, but it seems a little unclean, if they spent more money on keeping the place clean I would defiantly go back.

Just recently discovered Taste of Asia restaurant by noticing their cute advertised vehicle on the road :) and Thank goodness because I was starting to become frustrated with some of the poor tasting local Chinese restaurants in Vancouver. I've ordered multiple times since discovering them a couple months ago, always delivery. I haven't yet dined at this place. The food is very good. I've tried the fried prawns, kung pow chicken, happy family, sweet buns, lemon chicken, curry chicken, crab puffs, house lo mein and maybe a couple more items I forgot to mention. Everything I mentioned is excellent. Food arrives piping hot, big portions, and really friendly service. I would give this Chinese restaurant a try. You won't be disappointed.

I have been back here many times since this first review and still consider this a solid, relatively fresh and delicious chinese food option and the only buffet I frequent (so far). But I'm writing the update mostly because as I looked back and read the review, I realized it was this hole in the wall place that prompted and skyrocketed my Yelp addiction. For the very first time, I sat at the restaurant composing my review as I picked up my chopsticks! It's been true love ever since.

Best Chinese food I've had since moving to Portland. I live in North Portland, about five miles from Vancouver. I haven't wondered into Vancouver yet to see the restaurant, but we've ordered delivery twice. The food taste great and fresh, and the delivery is quick. General Tso chicken is the best I've had on the west coast so far. One star docked because I feel like they are adding on a huge delivery fee because I live in Portland, even though it's a 5 mile drive. I can never figure out how they get to their total.

    (4)
  • Kate B.

I feel bad giving this place one star because the people were so nice and they delivered so quickly, but the food was just awful. We got the Happy Family, the crab puffs and some hot and sour and everything just had a weird taste. Not good.

This place use to have a really great buffet, but last time we ate there the soup was cold and half the pans where empty. The prices also went up. Not going back in a long time.

  • Camron J.

The food was barely warm when we got it on our plate and the noodles were dry and crunchy. The food did not taste very fresh and was very disappointing. I would rather eat at Panda Express then come here again.

Friendly service prices are good and the food is great. I will definitely eat here again.

Upon arriving, you'll notice Taste of Asia has a buffet option. I was very impressed how they had sushi on the buffet as well. It's not the world's best sushi, but it's great considering you can have as much as you want. The other options are pretty standard (orange chicken, General Tsau's, sesame, etc.) We mostly just order out, however, and get one of the combo platters (the one where you get to pick an entree from each column. It's about $11 and a great deal, considering we always have leftovers. Good size portions overall. Upon moving to Vancouver, I haven't found really any good Chinese/Japanese food. The same goes for Portland. I gave it 5 stars based on the fact that while it may not be the best Asian restaurant ever, it's definitely the best around our area. Where else can you go for great quality and prices? The staff is always friendly and helpful. We will definitely be back.

Pretty solid Chinese take out/delivery... Meats always fresh, veggies are always crunchy.. MOSTLY Consecutive.... They do have this one cook that occasionally doesn't clean the s#*t out of the shrimp, and adds way way to much garlic and oil... It's only every one out of five times we eat there.. So I guess that's ok :) Portion sizes are enormous for the cheap price you pay. Plus they have pretty decent sushi (crunch roll, smoked salmon roll) for a Chinese restaurant.. This review is only for there fresh cooked Take out.. Not the buffet they offer.. We still haven't been brave enough to try it out...

  • Francis L.

Food today not so great, tasted over cooked on some otems, the curry chicken which usually mild was super spicy today. The soy sauce for pot stickers usually has a sweet soy taste was extremely spicy somethijg I was not expecting. Service was pretty lacking hubby ordered hot tea the waiter brought him iced tea and my ice water was never refilled. They need to step it up a bit.

    (3)
  • Eric H.

A small buffet styled Chinese restaurant. The reviews rave about the sushi, but the sushi here is not even good. If you come here just plan on having typical Chinese food that you can find at any other Chinese buffet.. and like all other Chinese buffets this place was just alright. The thing that's most appealing is that its not too expensive.

    (3)
  • Hailey B.

GREAT food. Love that they deliver all over Vancouver (although, if you are ordering out- be prepared, it is quite expensive, and you don't get THAT much food).

    (4)
  • Jon M.

We ordered for delivey and we ordered 2 of the A dinners and spring rolls. That fed 4 of us with a lot of left overs. It was a lot of food. It was pretty fast. The food wasnt too bad, I had better but it was a solid 3 3.5. I didnt like the spring rolls though. The price seemed very reasonable. I just couldnt get over how much food there was. Price and qty was a 5 and food was 3. I would definately go back if I am in the area.

  • Leah F.

I love Taste of Asia. It's been a favorite of mine for about three years. I used to give it five stars until my most recent delivery order. Everything was pretty much fine except they gave me salmon rolls instead of crab rolls, I don't see how this could happen since I'm the one who made the order online and all they have to do is read it over slowly and correctly to get it right. If they were out of crab rolls then you could have easily called me to offer the salmon rolls or at least just not charge for something I don't want.

I've been here twice with my buddy Andrea and we are making plans to go weekly - it's that good. Buffet is divided into sections: salad, fried treats, sauced meats (like kung pao chicken), dessert, sushi, and soup. Everything looks sumptuous as you roam the buffet, and almost everything is delicious. Even the sushi is fresh, which is a real victory for a buffet! My favorites so far are the potstickers, sesame chicken, potato salad, and their soft serve, which is a beautiful way to top off such a gluttonous event. The staff is polite and attentive, and the restaurant is clean and serene. Best food coma you'll ever have!

I own a business right down the street and often I am the only person on duty so I rely on TOA for delivery. I have NEVER had a meal that was less than excellent. The delivery service is fast and friendly. I appreciate the fact that no MSG is added. Although I have never dined in, many of our customers have and they all rave about the fresh food and great service. I highly recommend TOA. And excellent chinese food restaurant in an area where that is very hard to find!

First off the people working here are nice, helpful and friendly. (giving it 2 stars for the people working there) Food (sorry but no stars here)...I don't know who the ppl are giving it a 4 or higher rating but they must not be Chinese or Asian. The food is way overrated. I've lived in Beijing, Hong Kong, Tokyo and Singapore and am originally from Hawaii so I know my Asian food. I love good food period. Taste of Asia failed with their chinese dishes and sushi. I then ordered wonton soup from the menu bc that is why I originally went there and won ton soup on a scale of 1-10...gets a 3. Sorry but this girl will not be returning. I should have known better when I didn't see one Asian person in there eating also the location and decor was pretty depressing. I felt kinda yucky in there.

We heard a ton of good stuff about this place, but we've eaten here a couple of times and don't really care for it. The buffet was mostly bland, but there's a lot of selections, so you can usually find something with good flavor to it if you do some searching. The fried foods are REALLY REALLY fried, so most of them are too greasy for either of us, and the stir-fry dishes seem to be rubbery and usually on the bland side. They do have three or four types of "sushi" rolls on the buffet, and a bunch of desserts, and it is nice they offer a good range of foods in the chafing dishes, but nothing really stands out here. It's not cheap, but it's not expensive; it's not awful, but nothing has made us have to come back; the service is okay, but it's nothing special. We've also been overcharged here in our first few attempts, and while they fixed it right away, we were glad we had taken time to read the entire bill and cross check it with the menu. We had to work to figure out if it was a two or a three star place, but it's just down the road and we don't bother to eat here. We go to House of Beijing or Peking Garden instead... so that makes it two stars for us. They are definitely happy to see groups come in, they welcome children, they do also have normal menu items (which we have ordered from, and don't care to try again). The servers and staff were cheerful, but they seemed to have hearing and vision problems whenever we tried to wave one down. All-in-all, it could be worse, but we still would prefer to try an unknown restaurant instead of coming back.

Delicious food and my family from out of town enjoyed it very much! Definitely taste better than other restaurants we tried. Flavor is very authentic. All I got to say is "YUMMY!"

We came here after a very disappointing restaurant that we walked out of, imperial palace. We loved our time at taste of Asia good food exceptional service, we only went to the other since it is close to our house. We learned a valuable lesson go to taste of Asia! Thank you for a good night!

So we have been ordering from them for a couple years. I love the ease of ordering online. Once I had even hit the wrong button stating that I would come get it. I got a call a few minutes later, TOA asking me if I was really coming because usually they deliver. Thankfully he was correct, I would have waited a long time for it to show up. The food is without question the best delivery in Vancouver. I also have to say that the food is always wonderful. I have nothing but raves for Taste of Asia. Food is Great!!! Even better they are a group of incredibly kind humans. I will say that when you order expect it to take about an hour for them to get it to you. It's not Pizza on every corner. It's quality food!

Was not feeling well and needed a place that would deliver. So, I give them props on that part. But the food was bland and the meat items were just gross. I had the low mien with chicken, beef and shrimp. All the meat had a texture of having freezer burn or something. I also got a 'spicy' dish that had no spice what so ever. Nothing tasted fresh.... I now know what a previous reviewer said better off going to Panda Express.

I went once last week and had the buffet. It was full and hot. The food is great. Nothing is greasy and all the dishes were very fresh. The mussels were perfect and the hot and sour soup was one of the best I have had. Don't miss the green beans on the buffet, they have a tasty light sauce and are expertly cooked. They deliver and the delivery person flew by like a flash of light getting the food out the door when I was having the buffet. Tonight we had family over and we tried the to go menu I picked up last week. It was amazingly good for take out. It was hot, fresh and plenty for six people. We paid less that 40.00 for everything and still have left overs. We had mu shu pork and all the condiments came with it like sweet hoisin sauce and soft pancakes. The broccoli beef and chicken chow mein were vibrant with color. It all tasted great. Exactly what I was craving. We just bought a house near by and finding a great Chinese food restaurant was essential. We didn't think it would be this easy.

Since I first posted this review back in October we've been here at least once a month. The best Chinese Buffet in Vancouver. I dare you to point me to a better one. My new favorite is their Nightly Oysters on a Half Shell and $3 Large Kirins.

Love this place. The sushi is great. And all you can eat! Very affordable. I like everything on the buffet but go for the sushi. Love the house roll. Service is always good, but I am regular, so maybe that helps. Can't beat it!

We have have looking for a good chinese food place since we've moved here in July. We had the cashew nut chicken, pork lo mein and egg rolls. We had them deliver and they were at our place in about 30 minutes! We thought everything was fantastic!! It was all piping hot...veggies were fresh and crisp and not overcooked like a lot of places . This will be our go-to place in Vancouver for chinese food.

Exactly what a Chinese-style buffet should be, but rarely is these days: Fresh, delicious, and affordable.

I'm not normally a fan of Chinese buffets-that being said, I found a lot to like about this one. Cheap beer prices-check Lot's of great items on the buffet line-check Items made in small batches so food is fresh-check clean restaurant and not bad decor-check Now if you can overlook patrons scarfing down food like it's their last meal -go try it! Remember it's all-you-can-eat NOT All-you-can put-on-a-plate.

This is what you would expect of an Asian buffet. I do wish they would have more options and a Mongolian grill. The have the standard fried selections, soups, salad, and crab legs that would take days to get any meat out of. In this case you get what you pay for, the price is cheap. If your just looking to feed a hungry stomach this is the place.

We are regulars here for both the buffet and special ordering ginger crab and ginger lobster for special occasions. We order the crab and lobster 48 hours ahead, it's live when it goes into the pot. Can't get any fresher than that. Good sushi and a great selection of food on the buffet. We're also fans of the five-spice duck, also menu item . Staff is very friendly and the service is good. They also have take-out.

Honestly the best asian I had side from a gourmet restaurant in cali. The ginger beef was tender and flavorful, lots of onions, which I dig. My husband had the orange chicken which was sweet, savory, and a little spicy, not too bad though, delicious! Great old school taste and and assembly. Definitely ordering there again.

I happened upon this place one day whilst in the Couve. If you love the concept of all you can stuff down your gullet this place might just win you over. Lots of different Japanese and Chinese food choices can be had, including classic fried foods (egg rolls, crab puffs, pot stickers) sushi (some good, some not so good), and the typical chafer fare (including curry chicken, crab legs, mongolian beef, green beans in garlic and a truly excellent hot and sour soup). Skip the desserts, unless you like hot pink jelly rolls and cheap soft serve ice cream. I'm not a buffet fan but for the price (under $10 at lunch) this place was surprisingly good. Especially the soup.

I've had the chance to go back a few more times. SOLID! The ambiance isn't much, but everything else delivers (side note: Owning retail food (coffee), I have to tell you, it's gonna cost you somewhere. When restaurants have low rents and not much decor, motivated owners can put more of the $$$ in what you eat. They do that here. That's why the trend in PDX for food carts and food windows is so good for the consumer. No money wasted on decor or overhead - just straight for food and execution. Long term, it will be interesting what happens in PDX as a result. Brick and mortar restaurants will increasingly have pressure to deliver something else to justify the higher prices and lower content in the food ompared to the streamlined food carts and windows) Anyway, I went at 3PM. Which is usually a bad move (non-peak). There were maybe 4-5 tables, but the staff kept cooking and rotating fresh food. I was really impressed. They could have just let it sit, but you saw a commitment to get good food out. Good on them!

Chinese Cuisine

The popularity of Chinese food in America can be adjudicated by the appearance of China Town in many major cities in the United State of America. The popular trend of ordering or opting for Chinese take away food isn't unknown in America. Chinese take away food comes to rescue when you're too tired from work or too exhausted to cook. No one can resist the temptation of eating spicy noodles, shrimp, chicken, beef or pork cooked in the sweet and spicy sauce. The cooking method of authentic Chinese food is a lot different compared to what is served in America.

Generally, Chinese use dark meat small bones and organs to cook dishes but this changes when you are eating American-Chinese fusion food prepared using white boneless meat cooked with broccoli, carrots and onions. Back in China, the food is less spicy and oily as they favor steaming and braising method for cooking the most popular dishes. So, if you have a taste for authentic Chinese food, then try finding a real Chinese restaurant in the city. You can also try the most popular fusion Chinese food like Pecking Duck, Chicken Feet, Hot Pot, Shrimp Dumpling Soup, Mapo Tofu, Wontons, Chop Suey, Egg Rolls and not to forget Fortune Cookies.

There are not many restaurants in America serving authentic Chinese food. A little research on Restaurant Listings directory can help you locate the best Chinese restaurants in the city. Chinese cuisine is continuously evolving, and you can find a variety of dishes categorized as the food for lactose intolerant, gluten intolerant, vegan, vegetarian, and diabetic friendly. So, if you have a group of friends with different taste patterns, save the hassle and visit the nearest Chinese restaurant in your city.
