Customer service is horrible they make the food with no consistent, and according to mine personal experience they don't think white people can't handle spicy food I never went back since last time I was there

One visit to this family run restaurant is enough to make you a regular. I have been to Thailand twice, and eat Thai food on a regular basis. The food quality, flavor, amount, and price are all very good. They are friendly, and the service is fast. You can't find a better Thai food in Vancouver, WA.

Good food, great service and reasonable prices. I had the spicy asparagus with shrimp, as hot as they make it. It was great.

This place is amazing. Out of all do the places I have chosen on this planet. This one will for sure go far. The food is unique and amazing. The desserts are amazing as well. This place is the one you are looking for! If you are a Thai food fanatic. This is the place to be!

So good! It's hard to stop when the food is so delicious. We tried Chicken Satay, Panang Curry, Golden Noodle, and Crying Tiger. All fantastic dishes. The "tiger" sauce is a must. I would like to see a little more engagement from the staff and owners. Get on social media. Market the specials. They have a marvelous product and a lot of space to work with. Yes. It's hard that Albertson's vacated this shopping center, but don't let it discourage you or distract you from promoting the top-quality Thai cooking. It's a bit of a minimalist setup and no fancy tables or chairs. There are some Thai artifacts and decor . There are actually more tables thank there need to be and some are too close to the curtains. There are some other basic restaurant setup and operation that could be more professional, but I still like the neighborhood feel. I am really pulling for the success of this place!!

This is a hidden gem in Vancouver. The food is absolutely delicious. Try the drunken noodle with chicken.

Seriously one of the best, if not THE best, thai food place in Vancouver. It's never really busy but they do a lot of take-out service. We always eat in tho and the service is great. Good selection, good pricing, delicious food! They will adjust dishes to your liking. And if you like cukes, definitely try the cucumber side salad... only $1.50!

For being in the middle of no where (from my Portland perspective) this Thai restaurant was great! There was hardly anyone in the entire place. Staff was super friendly and their menu is vast. Our order: Spicy asparagus beef Chicken pineapple fried rice Pot stickers The pot stickers came out first...I don't really like them when they are fried so I only ate one. I suppose I should start asking this ahead of time. Chicken pineapple fried rice was super yummy. Huge chunks of pineapple and tasted great with some chili paste. Spicy asparagus beef was excellent. Not sure what the sauce was made out of but it was awesome. Cooked perfectly. Also ordered a Thai Iced Coffee that was delish and kept my mouth from being on fire :) All in all I would highly recommend coming here if you are in the area. Prices are very reasonable and they have weekly specials as well.

This place is like a diamond in the rough!!! Only sad thing is that no one is ever here when I come in. I come in with my family of 5 (one being a young toddler). They are always so kind to us. Last time we came in we had: *salad rolls *pork potstickers *golden noodles (light curry noodle dish) *pad Thai keemao * cashew nut chicken Everything was amazing!!! HIGHLY recommended this place

This is not the most fancy restaurant but they have the most authentic tasting dishes out of all the Thai restaurants I have tried! Great food quality with perfect amount of spices!

Stopped in for a quick, late lunch on 1-19-13 I was surprised as I thought their food had gotten way better than it use to be. Perhaps they were either recently sold or they had a new chef. Don't get me wrong, it has always been good but it seemed quite a bit better than in the past. The one tip I would give is this place uses a more real world spiciness scale so if you want it medium or 3, it will be a three. This is quite often unlike many places in Vancouver where a 5 is more like a 1. We had some of my usual staples Pa Nang, Pad KeMow an Satay as an appetizer. Everything was prepared perfectly, and delivered pretty fast too. I used to get take out from here and am going to start doing that again as they are quite a bit closer to me than my usual Thai haunt.

Bring 8 months pregnant and craving Thai food, I located this establishment as it was closer to our house than Ginger Pop, where we normally go, and open until 9:30 pm. I called ahead while my husband left to grab it, the lady who answered the phone said "Hi, how can I help you?" in a less than thrilled voice, and I was confused as to whether I has called the right establishment as there was no identifying name in the greeting. I asked to put in a to-go order and she rudely informed me that I could but it would have to be cash as they had shut down their credit machine. I was confused as it was literally 9:05 pm, and asked if they had already closed, to which she replied that no, but they were shutting down. Keep in mind, this was all said in the rudest tone. I let her know I would go somewhere else. Simply unprofessional!

Overpriced. Decent Thai food, it seems that Thai people go there to eat at least. We just don't want to pay $7 for spring rolls, too much. Tom Kha soup is good here.

Good food, nice selection and clean. My Dad had the Curry Duck and I had a green bean beef dish that was really good. The only reason I don't give it five stars is our two meals with two beers come to over $31 dollars. I'd recommend this place.

My boss took me to lunch here when I was in the interview process. Been going back ever since, and my wife is a big fan, too. The spice is laid on generously, so when they ask you how spicy you want it, understand that the normal person's "2" is actually going to feel like a "3" or "4" when delivered. I am especially enamored with the Avocado Salmon Curry! And I got the job, too. :)

Just wonderful Thai food. The Tom Yum soup is great. We really love the pineapple curry and would highly recommend it. The staff is always friendly and are always willing to work with you to get you the food that best suits your taste. I visit this place on a regular basis to get my Thai food fix.

Chicken Sald Rolls - YUMMY! All rice dishes good, curry is delish, and Pad Thai is pretty good, but not ALL the time. Service is decent.

My mom and I LOVE LOVE LOVE this place! We live close by and once a week we get our usual order to go. We order so often I just call, give my name and they already know my custom order. We always order the same thing; two orders of pad thai, one chicken, one tofu, add broccoli, no peanuts, 3 star and extra sauce. They have always been more than willing to accomodate our quirks and special requests. Every Thai place has their own spices and ways of making things but this is the best pad Thai I've ever had. The salad rolls are wonderful. Every once in a while during the weekend we will place an order to go of various things. We've had the veggie egg rolls (yum), chicken potstickers (eh) and chicken satay (fine). My daughter loves the pad thai just plain, no veggies or meat, just the noodles and no spice. My husband had the yellow curry and although I'm not a curry fan I tried the chicken and it was very tasty! I've also tried the pad broccoli with oyster sauce (yay!) and the Thai cashew nut, no cashews (yum). My husband has also had the volcano beef but didn't care for it. All in all this is my favorite Thai restaurant by FAR! Everyone knows me by name and it feels almost like home.

We had take out from here on the 16th. The lemon grass chicken pad Thai was great! The peanut sauce leaves something to desire. Not the best but not the worst Thai I've ever had.

I wish I could do 3 1/2 stars. I brought my toddler in here for lunch. I was a little worried she might disrupt the place some since it was past her nap time but there was a 4 yr old already there that was a family member of the owner so he kept my daughter entertained that was nice. The food was ok a little sweeter then I like but decent. Definitely family friendly place which is good if you have kids. I was hoping for soup, which most places I go give you while you wait for your order but they don't do that.

A solid 4 stars -I reserve 5 stars for something "over the top" good. Contrary to Jackie G, I have found Thai I didn't like...but this one I did. The wait staff was reasonably attentive. Our food was brought quickly and the order was accurate. Flavors were very good. Given the usual Van-tucky spice levels , we ordered 4 star heat...and darned if it wasn't what I'd consider 4 star. For us it was near the top of comfortable, but even so, it was darned tasty. We ordered several of our standards as a new restaurant comparison (Tom Yum Soup, Green Curry Chicken) and Thai Cashew Chicken), and all were tasty. If I had to "complain" about anything (1) the Diet Coke tasted like bar-shot mixer (not the best), (2) we weren't offered the condiment plate (with the hot chili oil etc) although in this case we didn't need it. (3) I really dislike sit-down restaurants that give you a single paper napkin, while serving on stoneware. On a Wednesday night at around 7PM, there were only a few table occupied, but a lot of take-out traffic. Will we go back? Definite yes. Prices were reasonable. Flavors good, comfortable environment, friendly staff.

I haven't met a Thai restaurant I didn't like, and Talay is no exception. They serve all the usuals and all taste as you expect. Everything seems to be served mild unless you ask for spicy. Service is very friendly and fast. This place is remarkable because it's one of very few sit-down restaurants in this part of town and is the best place to eat in a couple mile radius.

I enjoy eating at this restaurant so much it inspired me to write a review. The ingredients they use are always very fresh which isn't always common in Asian restaurants. I have never gotten a dish here I didn't like. I have eaten at dozens of Thai restaurants and this one is by far my favorite. The staff are also very helpful/nice. I highly recommend eating at this restaurant.
