The other "good" teriyaki in this dogged town besides Kim's. I've been here multiple times. Pork and chicken mainly. It's really good. I feel so bad for the dying plant by the front door! Just cut the dead leaves off and it'll look so O.K.!! Aww!! :( The price is like all the others in Vancouver city of Shame- 7-dollar range for what I get. They give you a lot of meat and rice. The chicken is tender, the owners or people I've seen who work in back don't speak ING-LACE! which is a bonus imo. (hot) Sauce (on food) is HOT and damn well so! I hate pussy sauce and American pussyness of spiciness! I WANT IT FIREY AND I WANT IT TO BE A CHORE TO EAT!!!!!!!! One time they were out of rice and I had some choice of stuff before closing and I choose noodles and it kicked so much more ass!! AWW! :( Good/bad. ^ They give you a iceberg lettuce which I don't dig. As John Waters called it, "the polyester of lettuce". :( I like all the sauces though! Not sure what the somewhat sweet sauce is that they give you. I'm really shy and don't really ask ask questions. Sorry. I use it anyway even though it pussys up the overall effect. I dump everything on! NO RULES! ANARCHY! :( I go to this place when I go to the Salvation Army. Wish Vancouver or Hazel Dell has more weirdos and scumbags. HATE THIS TOWN!! Love Teriyaki! BLAH! 4/5 stars on this place. Very good. I love single guys getting takeout by-the-way. It's funny and makes me laugh. Btw again, being the only customer inside these places always gives me nervous vibes!! I always, always hope I'm not the only one when I go in and like 95% I generally am. It's not even at weird times. It's like noon to dinner time. OH. THE MUSIC IN THIS PLACE SUCKS! THEY NEED LARGER ART AS WELL!! If they had good music and large art and COLORFUL PAINTED WALLS they'd make a LOT more money imho. It feels so drab and dreadful otherwise. Maybe I'm just a prick who likes colors/kboo-long players-cr@p/garbage art/random stuff called pretty. I dunno. It's down from Salvation Army though so why not have a cool place though! Splatter the walls, have music that appeals to no one cause this town is garbage, put up a bunch of bad art, etc. sorry 4 bad / good review . sorry for being such a creep. !

Great food. Large portions and the best sauces. Good place for both omnivores and vegetarians because they will substitute chicken for extra veggies (in yakisoba and stir fried veggies). Great potstickers (gyoza, meat though), and rice is superb. Definitely recommend!

Tried the Bulgogi and the Spicy Chicken. The Spicy Chicken is very spicy...which is exactly how I like it. I also like that I could sub brown rice instead of white. I ordered to go and my order was ready within 10-15 minues. Will definitely be back!

The food here is OK. The decor and ambiance isn't much and the staff person at the front is usually just kind of there in my opinion. If you get their food to go it is probably best, sitting in there is kind of sterile, they need to paint some color and get some mood music and have their wait staff be a little more energetic. The food is passable but nothing special but their prices are very affordable. I think the place needs to be cleaned or something...gives me kind of a dirty feeling.

NW side of NE Hwy 99 (same center as Hazel Dell Skippers) Well the name's cool...George Takei would be so proud! That's about where it ends here... yep with the name. The food is ok at best... a bit unacceptable to me, service is lethargic and uninspiring, and the decor leaves very little to be desired. I started off with their 2 piece Egg Roll Appetizer: yelp.com/biz_photos/oh-m… I was wondering why 2 pieces cost just under $5 and found out when the plate was sat before me... portion size. These Egg Rolls are huge, but that doesn't mean they are good/delicious. Actually quite the opposite. The large size gathers the frying grease like a sponge and the grease will then squirt you upon almost every bite. I was a little surprised that they didn't make their own Sweet and Sour Sauce. I also thought this was kind of sad. For my main course I went with a Chicken/Beef Bowl: yelp.com/biz_photos/oh-m… It certainly looked great and both meats had very nice perfectly balanced seasoning and grill flavoring about them with no gristle, but unfortunately their Teriyaki Sauce ruined the total taste of the bowl. I did like that the sauce did not have an assertive soy sauce taste about it, but as much as I love sweet this sauce was just too sweet! The rice was fluffy and cooked perfectly so it was slightly moist and did not stick together! Seating comes in the form of regular indoor tables. Their prices are a little bit more than what I am used to seeing, but I didn't think the experience warranted it. The venue looks either very temporary or like everything was just put up very quickly with no intention of upgrading to a more common theme. There is plenty of parking in this Strip Mall lot.

Iv been here a couple times and the food has always been amazing with a friendly atmosphere. Even when it's busy it seems like they bring you out your food in a timely manner. I would diffently recommend this place to my family and friends(:

Realy good teriyaki for a good price and its location makes it convenient for lunch. I always get the chicken teriyaki bowl......yum. My only issue with this place is that they use Styrofoam for all their to go orders.

When you just need a good bowl of chicken and rice without the fluff, this is it. Spicy chicken with steamed veggies - they get it.

I go here at least once a month. My favorite is the spicy chicken. My son like the short ribs. . And my daughter likes chicken katsu. Generous portions and great tasting meals. Highly recommended.

This is our family "go-to" place when we are wanting something quick, and tasty. Yes, the decor is rather, um, eclectic , mainly consisting of a mix of small pictures hanging way too high on the walls. And yes, that sad plant is still there. BUT, we do not go here for ambiance, or a romantic night out. We go here and pick up the best teriyaki in the 'hood. The chicken is always super tender and delicious and you get very generous portions. BTW, not sure what kind of rice they use, but my family will argue over the rice! Yes, I might be watching my carbs, but I am not going to share my rice! lol It is good stuff. My son loves the bulgogi. The spicy chicken is nice and spicy. The shrimp skewers are really nice, on occasion they have been a little over-done, but for the most part they are very good. We usually pass on the salad. It is a small amount of iceberg with some shredded carrots etc. My hubby does like the dressing that goes with it though. The people who run it are very polite and friendly. We do appreciate this little gem.

I go to this place often enough to feel qualified to give it a few stars for the amazing quality of food they serve. Last night I had the Mongolian beef, hot, the good kind of hot though. I hate the lack of heat in most of the food that advertises itself as HOT & spicy, this is the real deal for Mongolian heat. As has been noted here, the interior of the place is severe, lots of light and very little decor, of course I'm going for the flavor so who cares about decor. Great service and fair prices, I guess that's what good restaurants are all about, enjoy......

Portions are large and the spicy chicken was outrageously good! Ambiance is very basic but seemed like a clean place. I will be back.

Ate lunch here today, it's been over a year since I've been in and I'm pretty sure the place is under new ownership. The decor, menu and staff were all different than I remembered. All the food pictured on the menu board and on other patrons tables looked good and hearty. I noticed they serve bulgogi now, but I ordered the jalapeno chicken and it tasted mighty fine. Served with two scoops of rice, the jalapenos and onions were cooked enough but not too much, and there was a lot of chicken. All the employees were friendly and I was greeted immediately. My food was cooked shortly after I ordered it and it was still piping hot when I got back to work a couple miles away. I got a ton of good food at a friendly local Teriyaki place for only $6.50. What's not to like? @laura f.: What exactly is "Asian" food supposed to taste like?

Solid teriyaki place with an excellent menu and a very nice veggie dish selection. Noodles are also very nicely done. Main thing is that the location on the map is completely wrong, it's several blocks south of where it is supposedly located on the map shown, and I'm not quite sure of how to fix that.... Anyway, the veggies are definitely the best, so broaden your horizons and actually order a meal without meat even though you don't have to, and then try some of their noodles--but don't bother with the hot sauce bottles. They don't squeeze right and are sticky.

This place is actually pretty good. We haven't been here in a while, so it may have changed since we ate here. Don't be scared away by the shopping center and the run down bowling alley. The place is actually really clean (sometimes too clean, since the cleaning chemical is pretty strong and you can smell it a mile away). The people there are really nice and the food is excellent. Great teriyaki chicken and the egg rolls are a little greasy, but are delicious. If you're on the Hazel Dell drag cruising down US-99 craving for some teriyaki, definitely stop by here.

Great bento box lunch special - teriyaki chicken for a fiver! Chicken was tasty and done right, rice was perfect, and the veggies were excellent. My five year old practically inhaled the veggies before anything else they were so good! We've been twice and the food was delivered very fast and equally good both times.

This place was GROSS! No tofu, strange tasting noodles, and way too much pepper in everything. It hardly tasted like asian food. Gross! Couldn't even finish it.

I would have given 5 stars if their stir fry veggies weren't almost $10.00. All he veggies were was cabbage, broccoli, and carrots. Yes, you got a heaping plate of it, but so was not worth nearly $10.00. I went with my bf & his mom. All got different entrees. I got the veggies. Delicious!! And huge portion. The other entrees were their sweat & sour chicken. Pretty darn good. They definitely do not skimp on the sauce. I forget the name of the entree, but it was the one with all the different types of meat. I tried all 3 meats & so so good. The place is a little hole in the wall. Nothing fancy at all. All the ladies working were super nice. It was pretty busy for not being lunch or dinner time. I work right down 78th & all the ladies eat hear like once a week. Now I see why. Great place for teriyaki.

This restaurant is close to work and offers inexpensive lunch and dinners at good food quality. There is a chicken Teryaki bowl that is their daily special for around $6.00. This is what I usually get as it is consistently good. Comes with a salad and a bed of rice with chicken on top. The only draw back is the building. Not a fancy restaurant by any means, in fact it's very plain. Good food though.

Used to be really good, we ate there at least once a week. Something has changed though. Last two times, the food was burned and the staff didn't seem to care. I'm very sad.

Yeah I agree this is the only other good teriyaki place in Hazel Dull. Generous portions and always consistent. My favorite is the chicken and vegetable stir fry, enough to split or have leftovers. I love the homemade hot sauce and sesame ranch! I keep a dressing bottle full of both at home. The only reason I don't give it 5 stars is because of the lack of ambiance, sometimes dirty restroom, and occasional bad attitudes from a young man who works the register. None of that is enough to stop me from enjoying the teriyaki though. I eat here often.
