First visit to Easy Street for lunch yesterday. As Vancouverites know, this building housed Smokey's Pizza for about 200 years prior their closing. It's also located across the street from the former Bill's Chicken & Steak (RIP). Easy Street has been made into a restaurant/bar, the original booths from Smokey's remain, including the monster booth with the fire pit. Several small table/chair setups in the middle of the room, two pool tables, and a smallish bar with 5-6 seats. They also have a stage set up and have live music of various genres several nights a week. They have 3 TVs and were very accommodating to turn it for us....granted, it wasn't real busy, so there wasn't competition for viewing. The kitchen is led by someone with a Diamond Jim's legacy....and he brought recipes with him. I've posted pics of the outstanding fish & chips I ordered (the clam chowder was crazy good), and of the bacon cheeseburger ordered by my lunch mate. Won't lie, the cheeseburger looked a little frumpy, but it got a solid two thumbs up! They have a patio area fenced off for smokers and for when the sun peeks its head out. Still a new spot, I'm sure they'll fill it in with more tables and maybe some umbrellas to dress it up. The folks working Friday were super nice and they're working really hard to build up a good clientele. Their food certainly deserves your try.....and supporting a small local business is always a good thing. I'll be back!!

Great Bar and Grill! Stiff drinks, great food, friendly staff, big screen TV's at your booth! What more could you want?!?

The first and last time I'd go there. Sat at least 15 minutes at a booth and no one ever acknowledged I was even there. Even the owner walked by several times. Very limited pizza menu for advertising "pizza" (was the old Smokies Pizza). Appeared to be geared to handful of "regulars" (pool players).

I only stopped in here because I was waiting for a tow on my car and I didn't have high expectations. But John the waiter/bartender was super nice and the chef came out to ask exactly how I wanted my meal since I ordered off-menu like a pain in the neck. The modified, extra veggie, no-meat patty melt turned out awesome!! Delicious food, friendly staff and great prices - what more could you ask for? Thank you! I'll definitely be back!
