Used to be the best dq , now its the worst. The burgers taste like they came out of A microwave, the chicken strips are the size Of nuggets and the toast is as stale as the fries. The dont sell dipped cones anymore?? Half a star ....

I can't speak to the quality of their food - but the blizzards are below par for sure. It's a rare treat to get a blizzard, and they have botched a simple order more often than not. How do you forget the Oreo in an Oreo cheesecake blizzard?

Counter Service type restaurant Here's my big issue with this particular location...it's freakin cold up here and it rains a lot and they don't have any indoor seating at all! So I had a take out burger today...specifically a Bacon Cheeseburger: yelp.com/biz_photos/dair… The thing looks pretty nice, it had all the right ingredients for a great burger, but unfortunately just fell kind of short. This burger was ok at best. The burger lacked any discernible seasoning leading to a lapse in flavor and the other ingredients just did not possess enough to elevate this handheld delight into "Flavortown!" At least the bacon was really good! File this under "drive thru/and or that'll do"

So sad that they no longer have the burger we use to drive from Portland to eat. We were told that the place had just been sold and they changed the menu. Dry, cookie cutter typical DQ burger with a stale bun is not what I remember. Someone has made a huge mistake, the parking lot is empty.

I am glad we still have one. Great blizzards and sundaes. Great $5 meal deal. Good fast food.

What happened to the garden burgers? This Dairy Queen had the best gardenburgers ever made in the history of vegetarian fast food options. Please oh please bring them back! I cant wait until you bring them back so I can change this review to 5 stars!

I used to make this Dairy Queen my "once a month treat spot"!! Good ole cheese burger with onion rings and a Dr Pepper or Blizzard. I also take my 6 grandchildren on "Our Special Days" individually of course, to this location for lunch. The last three times we have gone the food was terrible!! Absolutely uneatable. I threw away a lot of food and money the last time we went!! When a 3 yr old hands you their food and says yuk...after asking to go here, it's bad!! She will eat anything... Not to mention the rude careless employees!! I have gone to this Dairy Queen on a regular basis as has my entire family for over 50 years. What a travesty it has become!! I will never give them my business again.!!!!! Unfortunately I have heard many many friends say the same thing. This iconic business is looking to go down the drain if things don't change back the way they were and quickly!!! All they need to do is look at the parking lot....not the crowd it used to be!! So so sad!! I would give them less than one star if I could!!

Wow. the new owners have run this place into the ground. I used to go to this neighborhood DQ approximately once a week to grab a sandwich, cone or a blizzard. I would call ahead and avoid the line. when I asked the new owners for the phone number they refused to provide it saying they "don't take phone in orders." Huh? Note that the food here is not grilled. There is no grill at this location. Everything is zapped. The new owners have gone to cheap cuts of food especially the chicken. topped with the microwaved bacon (chewy and fatty) makes for a lunch worth skipping I give this place six more months before they close the walk up windows. they have zero lunch crowd whereas this place used to be jammed from 11 am to 1pm during the week.

Great classic Vancouver summertime spot! This place is always hopping on hot nights! It's a drive-up, walk-up, or bike-up! They have the classic DQ blizzards and all flavors of dipped cones (including cherry! Some locations don't have that). Tip: yelp hours say open until 9pm, but don't let that stop you. Some evenings they are open until at least 10!

Here's the deal about a real burger joint/drive-in/whatever. The burger should be a logo, a unique tasty symbol of the business. It's not about how big the patty is or how many contents in the refridgerator one can moosh on top and still keep the top bun level. It's about the taste...either grilled or broiled and the sauce, relish - whatever - it has to be a unique experience. To me, meat, lettuce, tomato, ketchup, and onion isn't unique. Anybody can do that at home and probably better. If I'm going to pay somebody to make me a burger, give me something I can't get at home. Say you're kidnapped!!! (:-))) The perps take pitty on you because you haven't eaten in two days. They get you a burger. You take your first bite. One should be able to be blindfolded, take a chomp and know exactly where that burger came from. Say you are fortunate enough to survive the kidnapping and can give clues to the police as to where your food came from. The perps are picked out of a lineup buy the burger joint cashier and bingo....they go to jail for-eeever!!!! You've got your revenge, all because of a righteous burger. I mean, look-it...otherwise, why do people bother owning their own burger joint. Why not just buy into "Ours Tastes Like Everybody Elses' franchise. When I was a kid, there were burger joints on every street corner in Vancouver. Each place had its own unique spin on flavor. Now there is only a handful of true burger places left that one can say have kept their true and unique identity. Main St. Dairy Queen is one of these places and it has always been one of the most popular burgers in town. Even if they aren't your cup-o-tea, at least you know it, whereas, generic burgers, well, they are a convenience...not a taste. I've been eating burgers at Main St. DQ since they were in a building to the North, way back in the fifty's, which is now a traffic Island. So true to their product are these people, that when Dairy Queen, the Franchiser, decided to use less fat in their dairy products, these franchisees decided to pull out of the chain and only keep the Dairy Queen logo for product recognition...their product being way better than the Braziers. Anyway, it's a great neighborhood drive-in, family owned and so consistant in their products. In my opinion, this is one of the top tasting burgers anywhere.

This is the classic, old-school, "walk up and order at the window" Dairy Queen. It's miserable when it's cold and rainy, and it seems windy on any day (hot or cold) but it's still a lot of fun to come to. It's great for a "getting to know you" date, or a "snuggle with your loved one in the car" kind of date, or for dragging a pile of kids out for ice cream and giving them a spot to go run around for a few minutes. You could even get your meal and stretch your legs through the picturesque neighborhood on a warm day. The food is good, there are actual picnic tables underneath actual trees that you can enjoy on a rare warm day. The food is good, classic drive-in style food, with delicious desserts, served with a smile.

Well the first thing you notice is that when you walk up, the employees all look at you like "WTF, why do these people keep walking up and asking for stuff?" It only gets worse from there. Poor service, apathetic employees, and their attitudes show in the quality of food they prepare. All I ordered was a milk shake and fries. Fries were burnt and the shake was barely even blended. When I walked up there were three employees just standing there and I assumed the people standing around had already ordered and been served. Wrong! The employees were just talking before starting on any of the other orders. Most Dairy Queens are quite good, but NOT this one. It sucks. It sucks badly!

Not many places left that have walk up service windows, but this one does! Lots of good choices whether your looking for lunch, dinner, dessert, or a drink. Service is reasonably quick and generally very helpful. It can get crowded when the weather's nice though! Seems to have plenty of outside seating and picnic tables.

Wow! The three people (I think they were employees but it is hard to believe they are getting paid) looked at me from behind the glass with a "oh no, what is she going to want" look at their faces. Reluctantly, one of them slid open the window (did I mention I was the only potential 'customer' in sight?), and immediately said, "We can only do cash is that alright?" No hello, no good afternoon. As I am a consumer in 2012, not 1950, no that was not alright. Who runs a business these days and only takes cash? On a cold rainy day when they can't possibly be selling a lot of ice cream, one would think they wouldn't be turning away customers? I put my card away and went less than a block away to a business that was able to transact business using our modern ways.

Ahh, the joys of Dairy Queen. Of course, DQ probably does not create the excitement for you as it does for me. Blizzards are the absolute best, with Oreo, Butterfinger, Snickers, and M&M, not to mention the lovely blizzard-of-the-month. Oh yeah, and there's food there too. They have the kinda fries that are crunchy, yet not burnt, and the burgers aren't half bad. 5 stars may seem a little high, but when your 12 like me, a place DEDICATED to ice cream becomes another, outdoor seated heaven.

Well, I read many of the 1, 2, and 3 star reviews and I have to say, they need to revisit the Dairy Queen on Main Street because I received great service and a speedy order, had my food in 5 minutes and they had a good crowd. The food was great and I would go back anytime. Also, because I didn't have cash on me I called ahead of time to see what other forms of payment they accept and the girl on the phone was very professional and courteous. So for those of you who gave them less than a stellar review, give them another shot, all businesses have bad days.

They did get my and my darlings order correct however it took us about 30 minutes to get our two blizzards. Not happy about the wait, sure there were other people there but come on we were the second people in the line and we had two things... The person ahead of us only had one ice cream cone so I have no idea what the dilemma was.

Getting a strawberry milkshake today! They also have amazing chicken burgers! Prices are reasonable for all their menu items.
