This place is just OK. It was open late on a weeknight which was a good thing for us night owls but other than that I don't have a lot to say. We ordered a couple orders of Teriyaki (one chicken, one pork) and some egg rolls to go. I was a little disappointed with how incredibly long our to go order took. When we got our food home it was still nice and hot but the flavor must have been left back at the restaurant. It just wasn't terribly interesting. The chicken was cooked fine and the sauce was fine it just wasn't great. The egg rolls started off really good, they're fairly large, but then I got a weird taste halfway through and I wasn't very eager to finish them. Overall, it's a decent enough place for teriyaki, but don't expect anything more than decent.

Stopped in to get a take out order. Got half way out the door and looked in bag to find that It wasn't what I ordered (glad I looked). Brought It up to counter and politely told the lady working I had wrong order.She argued with me and then realized I was right. Took bag away without apologizing and acted like I was a jerk for not wanting someone else's order. Took a few minutes and she slid my order across counter with a scowl on her face. Wth!?! Was it my fault!?!? I then Looked in bag and asked if I could please have some forks and napkins. Without saying a word she set ONE napkin down and two forks. Since I ordered for more than one person I asked if I could have some more napkins. She gave me ONE more. Apparently they are rationing napkins at this place. Seriously - I can get teriyaki at about 30 other places in the area. Don't need the unnecessary and undeserved attitude. I'll go somewhere than appreciates me as a customer and just simply apologizes when a mistake is made instead of acting like its my fault. The teriyaki here isn't special enough to put up with the crappy customer service. Never again.

A step above teriyaki joint. While most teriyaki restaurants taste like cookie cutter restaurant-in-a-box, Happy T has their own distinct flavor and sauce. I like all of the teriyakis - particularly the pork - and the udon stir fry. They added brown rice a couple of years ago which I prefer and isn't offered at a lots of places. The place is always clean and the staff is top notch.

First off, their food is awesome. Everything I've tried has been really good and fresh! I especially love their hot chicken, and I'm glad they have a brown rice option. They are super fast, and their staff is very friendly. Definitely recommend trying this place!

People that came in after is and were only there for 20 minutes got asked if they wanted a refill but us being there for over an hour never once got asked if we wanted one and our cups were empty. I had to go to the front and actually ask for one

I love this happy teriyaki it is in a good location, staff is helpful, courteous and fast. The food is awesome and the dining room is clean. A+++

Good ol' Happy T. First teriyaki I ever had, this chain has been around a long time, consistently good food. But there is a lot of competition these days. Over the years the portions are smaller, quality has been surpassed. This is now the fourth best teriyaki place in Tumwater. Other places are more Delight-full.
