I've been here so many times I have lost count! Every single time the service is ALWAYS friendly & on point. I never have any dishes or empty drinks on my table and there is never a long wait for food. I usually get a salad in place of my fries and ask to have the SOF (salad out first). It's perfectly timed so that by time I'm done the main course comes out shortly there after!! The food is always cooked to perfection and is absolutely amazing. Everything is from local farmer's, breweries etc., which I think is extremely important to the community and makes for a far higher quality in product than most. You will NOT be disappointed! They have amazing drinks as well! So delicious. It will be hard to stop drinking them! Currently my favorite place to dine any night of the week! Blazing Onion Burger is definitely worth every dime spent and then some. There service and staff is also great!

Boar burger was on point! Onion rings were too! The Beast burger not as great, but still good! French onion soup was a bust! (Comped) Service was great!

I'm between a 2.5 or a 3. The burgers are pretty good, and I personally like their selection of beers (whoo mac & jacks!). The service was great too! They were lively and attentive. I came down with my parents and i got the Mediterranean lamb burger, which was delicious. It had lots of yummy vegetables and the olives were not overpowering but you can definitely taste it. I wish it had more veggies. The bread was tough to eat. I ordered mine with onion rings but they were unseasoned/bland and mushy inside! It's called blazing ONION, let's fix the onion rings! My mom got the mushroom burger with fries and hers was pretty good. Simple, for the mushroom lovers. The fries were a disappointment; not piping hot, not crispy or crunchy. All around unsatisfying sides. We also got hot wings as an appetizer. It was hot, crispy and juicy, but it was very very verrrryyyyyyyy salty! It's not a bad place, and the burgers are decent for what they're priced for, but I probably wouldn't willingly choose to come back. I am curious as to what their other burgers taste like.... But I can definitely wait.

You might be in luck if you came here for the burgers, but anything else on the menu was a huge disappointment. We started with their blazing onion bloom appetizer (I assumed this would be like outback... no where close). The onions are cut super thick and the batter was bland. My friend ordered the Italian soda and said it was amazing. I ordered a strawberry lemondrop and to my surprise, half way through, it was filled with sugar. Typically, it's just the rim but literally half of the cup was filled with sugar crystals and color. Strange. We ordered the "build your own" mac and cheese. I had crumbled bacon ($1.00 extra charge) and breaded chicken strips ($3.00 extra charge) added to mine. The mac and cheese was served cold. The cheese wasn't very cheesy until it was reheated. The bacon had to be less than half a table spoon and the chicken was literally one chicken strip cut into a few smaller pieces. My friend ordered the mac and cheese with chili and something else... I want to say onions or something. We also got fries on the side. They are thick cut but nothing special. Don't think we'll be back but it was worth a try to see what the rants and raves were about. On a good note, the service was pretty fast. I did see some people in training but things ran pretty smoothly.

Hubby and I came for a date night. Amazing customer service, super fast and sooo friendly. We got the Texas heat burger, onion pedals and some drinks...we ate so fast!!! It was amazing!! Definitely a new favorite.

The service was outstanding~ I wish I could say the same thing about the food. I ordered the fish and chips first and when it came it was tasteless and bland- the cole slaw had no flavor at all. The server took it away and I got a burger- classic cheeseburger I think- it was pretty good but so thin...The fries were okay- they are "real" fries and pretty tasty. The TVs around the place are amazing- large screen and nothing really could block them. I didn't stop in to watch TV though.

Driving around Tacoma last night, looking for something to eat. My Husband Had the Fish and Chips with Coleslaw. He said the Coleslaw was really tasty and had Cilantro which he thought was a nice touch. The Fish tasted pretty good. First batch of fries not so good, and there where free refills on the Fries and the second basket was Hot and Fresh. I ordered the Meatloaf Sandwich which was stacked with Meatloaf and Onion Petals on a Kaiser Roll. They also had Bison and Lamb as an option. The beef is from Painted Hills Farms in Oregon. Our server was very attentive and friendly.

Better than Red Robin food-wise, service was crappy (oh well), and bathrooms were neat (hdtv in front of urinals, pretty fancy, touchless almoat everything) *Tidbits: bathrooms - the faucet hung too low to wash hands without worrying about dragging hands through ppls germs AND no touchless soap dispenser... All in all, average burger place

Gosh, what happened?! B.O. was the only place we ate at whenever we went to the mall... But yesterday's meal really sucked badly! I didn't eat breakfast or lunch, and was pretty hungry by the time we came here... But my hungry self couldn't even try to eat the mush mess of a burger. Always ordered my usual: sweet hickory bbq. (I have even uploaded how awesome the burger was on here). Today's burger came out so nasty, I literally told my server that it tasted like @ss. Onion straws were all soggy and didn't resemble onion straws by the time it got to my table. The buns were soaked. I know the burgers come sauce heavy here, but I've never had one served like this one today. It was basically like one of those burgers you order to take home, then you forget it in the car for 2 hours. It ruined my appetite and I didn't even bother to order a new meal. Along with the bad food today, service was SLOW... And I can't blame it on the restaurant being crowded, because it wasn't. Oh well... And another one bites the dust.

There is really nothing special about this burger joint. You would really be better off finding a mom and pops burger joint and have a juicy delicious burger. Burgers here are dry, burnt and tasteless. Blazing Onion their name says it all--that's all that's good.

My husband and I are definitely fans! Jalapeno artichoke dip is our absolute favorite appetizer. Wild boar burger is bomb. Their meatloaf burger was really good the first 2 times I've had it, but I feel like they changed their meatloaf recipe and now it's just not that great. Bottomless fries and they carry good ranch. I love that they have those fancy soda machines because I love me some raspberry ginger ale. Service is always great too! Parking can suck since it is attached to the mall.

  • Bruce F.

The hamburgers are great and large so we usually split our meals. I tried the French dip and found the juice tasty - the way I like it and the roast beef good. The service was outstanding and the place looks great. The food comes out relatively fast and we ordered an appetizer which arrived first (as it should). Who ever designed the bathroom needs to lose his/her license. The stall door opens on anyone standing at the urinal. Nothing like getting banged in the arm when you are attending to business. ;) We had the chocolate cake and it is a competition for the "Mother Load" at the Claim Jumpers restaurants - huge - easily big enough for 4+.

  • David K.

Went here for the first time recently. Got a burger and fries. It was good but I didn't think it was too special. The decor and atmosphere was nice. It's pretty convenient as its right outside the mall. I'd probably come back.

  • A'shay I.

I'm giving this place 5 stars for the fried pickle spears and Dangerous Dave "Stress Relief" drinks! Very good, you have to give them a try. Next time I'll have to try a burger!

    (5)
  • Remylynn M.

My other half and I wanted to try something new before shopping around the mall, so we stopped by here. No host was available in the front, so we had to wait a minute or so. The bartender was sweet & treated us well. We had: Moonshine strawberry lemonade Kenny's Kooler the Big Kahuna Burger Something ranch burger that had egg in it Everything was good! We will probably be back!

Ok. I'll admit it, even if you won't, that I have a soft spot for sports bar/big burger chains. Sometimes comfort can be found in the generic wall memorabilia, flash of multiples televisions and distant bass of the most recent pop tunes. This does not mean that I give the, any breaks when it comes to the quality of food and dining experience. It's quite the opposite. I refuse to pay $12.00 for a burger that I can get for $1.00 elsewhere. I'll also always substitute a drive-thru for cramped uncomfortable spaces. Blazing Onion was wonderful. It was busy, but not overcrowded for Sunday lunch. The Staff was busy but managed to be kind and helpful without seeming rushed. The NW outdoor sports decor was nothing special and is as inoffensive as you can get. The warm, dark wood tones and high ceiling gave me room to breathe in the busy space. The menu has enough variance to offer something to the adventurous eater while having enough base items to satisfy all. The Bavarian Burger was tasty, the toppings providing delight in each bite. Sadly, the beef patty was flavorless and overcooked and detracted greatly from the overall taste. I'll definitely head back to try more.

  • David I.

I love this place. I only wish it wasn't at the mall. Get the Bavarian Pub Burger, and share it. So much goodness in one burger should be a crime. I know most of the staff from my 50+ visits. The food is nothing extraordinary but it is very good typical bar food. I go for the beer and the staff, and the BPB

The food was excellent, and if you're lucky enough to have Kelly as your server you'll be treated with incredible service.

I decided to give this place a second chance...maybe it was too busy last time or we just had a bad waitress...nope, the experience was not any better...okay, maybe the service was 2% better. But it was still terrible service, and definitely convinced me to never come here again.

  • Angie M.

Came here for the first time about 3 months ago. Trying to decide where to go for dinner tonight I honestly couldn't even remember what I had or what made this place special. I was craving Bob's Burgers and Brew in Puyallup but was not willing to drive so far out just for dinner. The service here was great ! The waitress was very nice and accommodating but was not overly annoying like at some restaurants. The food came out great and tasty and was within 10 minutes of ordering . I ordered the big kahuna burger and substituted beef for a grilled chicken patty. I wish the chicken had a little more flavor and that the bun wasn't such saturated in water I'm assuming from the tomatoes and lettuce. I ended up removing the bun but it was nicely cooked and the ham was delicious. Fries were great and the margarita was PERFECT!

Good drinks, friendly bartender. Pervy Manager kept walking by staring at my fiances chest. Note: if you order "bottomless fries" you get plain even though your first ordrr wss one of their speciaktied, I. R. Gsrlic, sweet potato, etc.

  • Pat P.

They've got good burgers and good beer, and plenty of TVs to watch lacrosse. AT least that's what they're playing right now, which is fine. The service is friendly and most importantly the bathrooms are clean. I hate a dirty bathroom at a restaurant. IT MAKEs me wonder about the cleanliness of their kitchen. Good place for lunch at the mall.

Great food, Great brews! The people and staff here are awesome. Kirsten is super rad and doesn't let you go thirsty. Place to be after heavy shopping at the tacoma mall.

  • Sonia S.

Food is just okay. Service was decent. Comparable to Red Robin...although Red Robin is slightly better. Menu is boring with no variety. They do offer game burgers, but to me there isnt really anything special about those... Burger was way smaller than bun and fry refills were small as well, since they want you to get full waiting for them to bring the fries...but that is normal. They didnt have iced tea on the menu...and their soft drinks are served from a "Coca Cola Freestyle" machine, which I do not personally prefer. I wasnt offered a refill until after we got our bill and were leaving though. Nothing that makes this place stand out from the rest. Not even sure why they built this restaurant here near BJs...kind of the same thing except BJs has more variety on the menu. Probably wont be back.

Went in here on a Thursday night, it was busy enough that we opted to sit in the bar section. It was comfortable there I would not mind sitting there again. I am not a burger person, but I tasted the meat and it was very good quality. I would say this place is a nicer version of Red Robin as far as decor, and definitely WAY better food wise. Check out the menu online before you go. I REALLY enjoyed this place. Food was good, service was excellent. I will absolutely be back again.

I absolutely LOVE The Blazing Onion! First if all, their burgers are amazing! I have yet to find one of them I don't like. I love their turkey burger too! I have substituted the turkey patty on several different burgers and it's always just as amazing as the regular beef patty. The Bob sauce is so good! I always get a side to dip my fries in. One if my favorite things here is their chili. It's so good and it has a little spice to it, I love it. The staff is always so friendly and helpful. I have zero complaints about this place!! I live in CA now and it's one if the places I will make a point to go to when I go back home to WA to visit!!!

Tiny salad for $11? Or bad service when you're practically the only patrons? Came in for lunch service today. It was fairly slow in the restaurant and we were seated quickly. Our friendly server got drinks right away. We then waited a long time for appetizer plates, ran out of napkins still waiting. He came back with a plate after we were done and didn't even stop or leave it just said "oh too late", kept walking away telling us he'd bring a refill but not clearing the appitizer or asking if we need anything (napkins!!) Food was served in a timely manor by someone else who also cleared our table. I ordered a candied walnut full size salad for $10.79 I expected a full salad, maybe chicken, but a lot of yum and maybe a side left for later. Instead got alot of plate with some dressing drenched lettuce. I scooped the portion onto less than half of my plate as a full size? My aunt got twice as much on her chef salad... So I guess $11 gets you a side salad. Waiter didn't come back around for a while and apparently didnt even notice I finished my plate 10 times faster than everyone else. Tasted alright, but I felt embarrassed to be hungry after an appitizer and a "meal". I won't be back.

Great burgers! And love the onion petals. Their staff is very kind, helpful, and attentive. The wait for your food isn't too bad either (:

  • Chris T.

First time going and it was so delicious! God I love the habanero burger! And trust me it was great. Only reason why they say "caution" is because. Stick the pepper it's self on top with a toothpick lol but yes I love that and I get the honey mustard or the BOB's sauce with the sweet potato fries. If you're in for a tasty burger and a pretty cool atmosphere give it a shot :)

Hey there y'all! These here are some darn good burgers. Being the only place I've been to up here so far, it's made a delish impression. They support local micro brews, so that's a big plus. Big time friendly server, Kendra. Although this place seems like a chain restaurant, food so far is delish. Endless fries too! Great place to hangout, watch games and have nice, cold brews. And, when you're done, go walk it off inside mall. Good job Kendra. Live long and prosper.

One bartender on Seahawks preseason opener, poor planing on managements part! We waited to have our drink orders taken and waited longer for food orders, which a sweet waitress took. To top it off, the bartender took my drink before it was empty, TWICE!! Very disappointed we didn't wait at BJ's!!

This Blazing Onion location is right at that precarious overall Yelp average of three stars. It may be good or it may not. Fortunately it tipped in a favorable manner. In fact out of the several hamburger joints that I have tried in Tacoma, Blazing Onion maybe one of the best! I got their Anaheim Burger with onion rings. The burger was prepared just right and the rings were perfect! Blazing Onion has a host of different kinds of burgers too! In fact on their featured board they have a Habanero Burger so I just may need to come back sooner rather than later to try it in case it is a limited item! I have no complaints about the service and would enjoy going back!

  • Al C.

Not bad. Not great. We had a big party and all of our food came out at different times about 10 minutes apart from the first item to the last item. The food tasted decent, but the service was really bad. From the time we arrived until the time we left it was about 2 1/2 hours. Way too long for just burger and fries with friends.

    (3)
  • Alexandria A.

Terrible service Get there and it takes ten minutes to get our drink. I order a moonshine lemonade and my fiance a beer, which was way too bitter and stale. Ten minutes later the girl gets our order. We waited fifty minutes and no service, not acknoledged even once. The place was busy, but the bar wasn't even half full. How hard is it to make a burger a d a salad? Not an hour and not one greeting yo see how we were doing. We left hungry and will never be going back.

Oh, dear. What a disappointment. We used to be fans of the Gig Harbor Blazing Onion, but have had more and more disappointing experiences there. We were hoping this new one in Tacoma would be better. Unfortunately, it also fell short. The evening started well. We quickly snagged a seat in the bar section. Our waitress was friendly and came by quickly. When I asked about their gluten free options, I was pleased to hear that they have a separate menu and they put a flag on your ticket and prepare your food separately. I'm not THAT sensitive, so I just ordered the gf bun. So, we placed our order and then waited a long time to receive it. Food finally came. What a disappointment. The amount of fries served with our orders was ridiculously small. Come on! This is a burger joint, heap on the fries a little! That's what we're here for: burgers and fries! The serving of fries is just hilarious. The buns were also not toasted, so they fell apart. Our burgers were fine. We both felt that we'd had better. Quinn asked them to make his "blazing" and it wasn't. Which is my other bone to pick with this place: they're called BLAZING Onion and yet they charge extra to make your burger blazing. Their name should have an asterisk after blazing: Blazing* Onion (*blazing $1 extra). It took forever to see our waitress to get our bill. Another waiter actually had to run my card because our waitress kept disappearing. She may have been dealing with some issues with the kitchen (food was not coming out), but that wasn't ever explained to us. We probably won't go back.

Fantastic experience. The beast burger and the mushroom melt burger were both exceptional. Service was amazing and the chocolate thunder for dessert was just a perfect end. My only complaint is that they are not located closer to home.

  • Justin S.

I tried it twice, and it failed both times. The beer selection is pitiful. Nothing in bottles that's even worth drinking. The taps are 'meh' at best. So so pale ale. Weak ipa. The first time I tried a chicken sandwich. It was drowning in a horrid sauce and a bland wheat bun. I almost finished half of it. Tonight I tried it again, because at least the bartender was helpful last time (really, she was just cute, and that's enough for me) This time, I walked out. Steak salad. And they managed to not just screw it up-but ruin it. The steak was so rare it was almost blue (not medium) and they didn't hold the tomatoes as I asked. When they managed to recook the meat, I was able to taste...absolutely nothing. It was hands down the most bland thing I have ever eaten in my entire life. The steak was only flavored with a bit if 'char'. The blue cheese didn't have an ounce of kick. You couldn't taste the onion straws. I gave up and just walked out. It was a plate of crap that wasn't worth my time. Oh, and not even a single acknowledgement that they cooked it horribly wrong. "How does everything look?" "Pretty raw if you ask me" "oh, guess it does". Your job is to give me what I ask for. Next time, try doing your simple job.

We went in here last Sunday during the BIG SEAHAWK game!, and you don't have to sit in the bar to enjoy the game, they have so many big screen TV's that everyone in the restaurant can enjoy the game, so if you have a minor in your group, and you're wanting to enjoy a game, this is the place to go to. My drink was so good, it was some fireball, and apple martini, to die for, however I just ordered off of the picture, and when the glass came out with no sugar on the rim, I was disappointed, I looked at the picture again, and the menu said that you had to request the sugared rim, I think that they have that flip flopped, if you don't want your drink to look like the picture, then request it that way, make it look like the picture right off the bat. Also the picture make the drink look full, and mine was missing at least 1/4 if not more than the picture showed, so I was not to thrilled with that, even though it tasted great. The food tasted fantastic, but was a little too greasy, and the plates are small, so as grease seriously flooded my plate, I couldn't put it down at all, there was no room to, without soaking the bun in grease, but still overall it was a really good meal. We'll be back for sure! I just loved it here, great atmosphere, and amazing staff, 100% better than Red Robin any day!

  • Nate F.

I'm a fan. Been here multiple times and the service is definitely always quality. They accommodate you in terms of anything you want to watch on TV. They check up enough and not too much. The outdoor seating is nice in the summertime. The menu is actually pretty extensive. Pretty much any type of burger you could think of, they got. Should be running Red Robin out of town in that department, and you haven't even got to the other part of the menu with all the other options. I've had a couple burgers and they're all good. The Texas Hot one, the triple cheese one, sorry I forgot the names. It's been a while. Haaa! But I'm upset with myself for never trying the wild boar among other options. I have to check it out next time I'm in town. Haven't got to check out the bar yet but it looks nice. If you're ever hungry and at the Tacoma Mall I'll say this should be one of your top spots to get some food.

Mostly writing this review to Thank Brandon for great, NOT Our server, service! He was funny, but not over-the-top, took the time to check back on us, even after we ordered, and impressed, my highly "hard to impress" husband. I understand you get different service from different people but he was just a great asset to Blazing Onion and should be recognized. The food was really good, it was our first time so everything we tried was new to us..it was my daughters 20th birthday and they brought her a sundae which we didn't expect. We will definitely return and hope to see Brandon still there, he should be in a management position if he isn't already! Unless of course he doesn't want to be!

Came here for lunch when they first opened. Bad! Bad! Bad! Prices are awful for what they give, burgers where over cooked, fries were over seasoned and drinks tasted watered down! The waitress had no manners! She kept leaning into the booth with her knee and resting her hand on the table EVERY SINGLE TIME she came over to ask if you needed anything, and to take our order. Paid $40.00 plus tax and tip for mediocre food! Never will come back.

Okay second time is a charm. Came in early on Friday, no wait ... extremely friendly and competent staff. Food was hot and delicious I would def recommend this place just it's best to avoid coming with a large party when it will obviously be busy.

So after looking into the menu for this place last week, my mom and I made plans to eat here. Awesome atmosphere, great looking food, really friendly and cute wait staff. Then we got the food, it looked gorgeous, i could hardly wait to scarf it down. The garlic fries are one thing that i will never eat from here again, not only did they not have a taste of garlic in them, but they were worse than bland, they tasted as if they had some sort of cleaning product mixed into them. The burger was alright but I have had better from McDonalds. The bun was crunchy and burnt on the outside around the edges. There was literally only a dot of sauce on the burger and the bacon was more pepper than bacon. My mom and sister didn't even finish their food. All in all it was a waste of 50 bucks.

This place is mediocre at best. My wife and I were told to check this place out since we arrived to Washington. Nothing is impressive about the food, the only thing nice about the place is all the tv's in the restaurant.

Didn't know this place as here! Must be very recently opened. I went in around 1pm for lunch while I was waiting for tires to be put on my car, had some time to kill. I ate in the bar, there were quite a few patrons and service was reasonably quick. My server was really nice. I ordered the Mediterranean Lamb burger and subbed my fries for a green salad. I asked for salsa ranch, my salad was dry but that was rather okay, the olives and cheese flavored my salad nicely so I was actually kind of glad there was no dressing. I also ordered the fries trio on the side as I wanted to try their regular fries, onion peels and sweet potato fries. They were served with 3 sauces, I can't remember all of them but they were delicious. My iced tea stayed refilled. I remember reading a review on here that they didn't give very many fries, I don't see how that's a problem as their fries are unlimited. I'm a server so I'm very well aware of the plight of people being unable to read and comprehend menus, so I'm thinking that was just the case with that particular review. I'd definitely go back, the food is inexpensive and delicious.

Giving this place 3 stars because the food was good and there are a ton of televisions everywhere. The service was slow and not to mention we batted away fruit flies the entire time we were eating....GROSS!! I just wish I could have enjoyed my dinner as much I wanted to. I had to scarf it down to keep the flies off. :/ Can't say I will be back again. Maybe happy hour.....

    (3)
  • Morgane M.

I'm split between 3 and 4 stars. This place is typically a hit or miss. Get a miss and it's about a 3, hit and it's a 4. The happy hour is amazing, saving around $3-$4 per item. My favorite is the blazing hot wings, so delicious! They have a crispy skin which I love. Nothing worse then a hot wing with soggy skin...yuck! TVs everywhere. On miss days you can expect slow service, cold food, and entrees before apps. It's worth a try though :)

Came in here because I was hungry and needed to get out of the house. I was very impressed with the menu and the quality of the food. The service was great too. They also have a good drink selection. I think this place has excellent burgers, which I don't say lightly. The decor of the restaurant is nice, it's well-lit. I didn't come here during busy hours so I can't say how loud it is during peak times. The fact that they're open till 11 PM is great for people like myself who sometimes work long hours. They also have happy hours for both drinks and food.

  • Rayna C.

I havnt even gotten my food yet and this place is awesome. It's a great atmosphere. And fantastic service. The servers know what they are doing. It's very clean and not too loud. Plenty of drink choices both alcoholic and non. They are very decently priced and every thing on the menu looked good. We had a hard time deciding on what to get. We now have our appetizers and those alone are amazing. :) worth the visit.

Stopped in for a burger after doing a 24 day cleanse and diet challenge so I was really looking forward to a great burger. Beautiful restaurant. Staff was friendly and we were seated immediately. We had the bacon wrapped jalapeños. Very good. We got our bacon cheeseburgers and I was impressed by the size and looks. The burger was OK, a bit bland and very runny. My fries were crispy but unsalted. I was never offered any sauces and was a bit let down. My wife's onion petals were soggy with grease. We sent them back after watching our waitress go by a few times, we got the attention of the manager doing paperwork a table away from us. The new ones were a drier but the batter was gooey on the inside. We really wanted to like this place but won't be going back. I hope they can work out the kinks and do justice to this beautiful restaurant.

This burger joint is new to Tacoma. Lot's of different burgers on the menu, large selection of beers, and TV's on every wall. It's a sports bar that focuses on burgers. The food is pretty good. I prefer the thinner "diner" style burgers and these are the larger "meatball" style, but they're juicy and got tons of flavor. I'm not sure I'd go out of my way to eat at the Blazing Onion again, but if I was at the mall and needed to find a respite in a hurry I'd duck in.

I am impressed! Great experience all around! The menu choices made it difficult to choose but we ordered the onion petals which were amazing, grilled chicken avacado burger- hot juicy full of flavor, my husband had the burger with the egg on it and said it was the best burger he ever had. Those fries! were awesome! Yummy sauces especially for the onion petals. The service was outstanding!! Great atmosphere, clean, and fairly priced. We can't wait to go back and try the anaheim burger next!

Good burgers, good service. Nice alternative to Red Robin. Less "kiddie" like atmosphere. Beer was cold too!

I really enjoyed this restaurant! We were seated immediately (we went around noon), our beverages and appetizer were brought to us pretty quickly as well. The decor was pretty modern, there's even a little TV in the bathroom! All the staff were very friendly and helpful. Our waitress checked in with us constantly to make sure everything was okay and she refilled our drinks without us asking (I love when I don't have to ask for a refill!). Our food took a little longer than expected, but definitely worth the wait. I ordered the I ordered the "Chipotle Ranch Chicken" and it was pretty good. The chicken was very moist and seasoned perfectly! The only thing I didn't like was the salsa. It was a little too bland and flavorless for my liking. Other than that, I really enjoyed the dish! I'll definitely visit again! =)

Amazing staff, amazing service, amazing food. We were pleasantly surprised by how great of an experience eating here was- and our waiter, Brad, rocked! The mushroom burger was delicious. We didn't have super high expectations with this being a chain restaurant, but we were glad we came. Will be back with friends!

Amazing food, great service! I love that they have the option to refill your drink YOURSELF with that cool 100 options soda machine, then you can change up your drink all night! Lots of TV'S & many channels playing. Our bill was just over $25 for two burgers, two sodas & an appetizer. I swear we had three servers! The table was cleared off fast & if our drink was empty a random server would offer to refill if we wanted. We'll always come here for a great meal, great service & great staff!

This place was pretty awesome. The bacon burger I got was really good. Would probably upgrade to the slightly bigger size next time around, the fries were really good, the ranch was amazing, and the peanut butter pie was killer. I am glad my wife and I decided to split one piece it was so rich and delicious. I will say that this place felt like a bar/restaurant that has only been open for a week... because it has. When we got there it was busy, and combine this with the week only thing and you end up waiting for a bit for your food. The people around us were milking this for every penny and trying to get free food and drinks, which was sad and lame. I would suggest maybe waiting another couple weeks unless you have patients. Oh yeah and 1 million tv's in this place. Seriously multiple tv's on every wall. Oh yeah we got two burgers and a desert and the price was $27.00 after tax. Pretty comparable price wise to red robin, food quality a bit better.

Who needs engaging conversation when you got 30 TVs pointed at you. Huge overkill on the TVs which isn't necessarily a bad thing especially if your fav spectator sport is playing. The ground beef on my burger was undercooked almost to the point of being inedible. Feeling adventerous and taking their word for the local quality aspect, ate it anyway. Fully expected some ill gastric effects later, thankfully didn't experience any. Three word phrases explain alot here. Friendly, attentive service; tasty bottomless fries; unlimited savory sauces; many menu choices; locally grown ingredients; competetively priced menu; Arrogant Bastard Ale. I think you get the picture. One small caveat. Got upcharged for sweet potatoe fries and got no refills. Boo.

Burgers are dry and greasy. I've given them two stars for two reasons. -I waited an HOUR AND A HALF for my husbands and I'd burger. That's a little too long for burger & fries -the amount of grease that was dripping from my husbands buffalo burger was gross. Buffalo is less fat and more lean... So it didn't make much sense that his was greasier than mine. The staff was friendly, someone in attentive though. Probably because it was busy. But if rather go to red robin and get faster, tastier service.

The food was pretty good; I was pleasantly surprised. The service wasn't great however, we had been seated for 15 minutes before a waiter even acknowledged us and took our drink order. My son had sweet potato fries as well which were under cooked. I had the Gorgonzola Steak Salad, which was really tasty, I just wish there had been more steak included. And my husband had the Big Kahuna Burger and loved it. We'd come again, regardless of the slower service.

Atmosphere is great here. Great brew, chillies, and burgers. Pretty cool hangout spot. Right across from BJ's. I would recommend it for burger and beer lovers.

I went to lunch here with a co-worker, we decided to give Blazing Onion Burgers, Brews & Spirits a try. It was a cross between "Applebee's & Red Robin" menu. The dissapointment for me and my co-worker was how SLOW the service was. We started with an order of chips and salsa which at one point we thought the server forgot about, because it took so long to get them. Then after another long wait, we finally got our lunch- my order was for fried pizza bread (luke warm) my co-worker got a salad. Our wait time for our lunch was well over an hour and the place wasn't busy. We both agreed it might be an OK place for happy hour or weekend ball game, but not NOT a place for lunch or dinner.

Yum yum and yum. I got the meatloaf burger and was instantly in love. I thought their other burgers were not as good but still okay. But the warm family environment combined with the food makes it perfect.

We love this place! The burgers are the best and there's something for everyone! The atmosphere is great and so is the location. The wait staff was attentive and we just keep going back! Get the all american burger and you won't be disappointed!!

I started with the Onion Petal appetizer. Very good, crisp, and the sriracha aioli was a great blend of creamy and spicy. For the main course I had the Wild Boar Burger with a side of fries. That was one of the best gourmet burgers I've ever had. I'm actually planning on going up to Tacoma later this week to try another burger!

I've been wanting to try this place for a long time so I was super excited that I was able to go for lunch today with my friend. Our server was very polite and super friendly. The wait time for the food after we ordered was pretty long, especially for lunch. I ordered a mushroom burger and was disappointed because the burger was bland. The meat didn't have any flavor at all. The fries were cold and not so fresh. I will forgive them and will probably give them another chance because I liked the atmosphere and our server was nice but overall it was a bit of a let down. :(

I got the worst service. I know this place isn't a 5 star restaurant but I do expect the very basics of service and food quality. just the bare minimum is what I'm talking about. 1. I ordered a burger - it came out cold! only thing part warm was the beef patty. the bread was cold and stale - they forgot to heat it up or toast it. I took about 3 bites and that's it. 2. We ordered wings - they brought it out but no silverware, no plates, no napkins, nothing. just wings! we had to ask the waiter for these things basic things. Do we really need to ask? 3. I ordered ice water - he forgot to bring this. I had to ask twice. Please please remember this simple item. In fact, please just give us ice water by default from the beginning. 4. I originally ordered tacos. he came back and said they can't do tacos. so that's when I ordered a burger. but in our final bill, he charged me for the tacos AND the burger! 5. Because I was still hungry after the cold burger, I ordered mac n cheese. the worst mac n cheese ever. I forced myself to eat almost a third of it. 6. Finally, I ordered the big big mud pie....asked for spoons so we can all share and that was delicious!!! :) but......I specifically said "please no whip". mud pie came with whip cream everywhere! People either just don't give a sh** about the things customers ask for OR they just forget. I don't know what it is. I'm not asking for specific unique things - just the basics. Ice water, silverware, plates, etc. They should feel bad or foolish for not providing these things in the first place and feel slightly embarrassed that I even have to ask for these things or remind them 2 or more times. They are not stupid. My conclusion is that they just don't give a sh**. I hate Applebee's, Red Robin, TGIF, and all the same family dining chains. But Blazing Onions was worse.

Just went in tonight, for the first time. This is the newest of the Blazing Onions. I had a buffalo chicken wrap, and my friend had the burger dip, and both came with endless fries and soft drinks.. The service was good, with four or five different members of the "staff" inquiring how everything was. Over all, I'd rate what we ate as good-to-very good, and the prices aren't too unreasonable considering this restaurant is at the Mall. It's a place I will want to visit again.. PS did I mention the place has a total of 31 televisions in the dining areas, plus two more in the restrooms?? Also, the soda fountain looks like a washing machine and dispenses I-don't-know-how-many flavors. (Actually Burger King and Wendy's have the same type in some of their stores).

My boyfriend and I had wanted to try it out since it's been built, and I am sure glad we did!! We went on a Thursday evening around 3pm and it was pretty decent. They had a steady flow but nothing too busy. Service wasn't the absolute best I've ever had. But it was decent enough. They're prices are pretty well for what we got and considering it's by the mall and pretty nice place inside. I ordered a BBQ burger, and it was AMAZING. I will definitely be coming back. My boyfriend got a Philly cheesesteak sandwich. Don't let the word sandwich fool you, you'll definitely need a fork and knife to eat it. It came open faced with nacho cheese poured on top. It tasted amazing. And both my burger and sandwich came with bottomless fries that were really tasteful.

Started at the Gig Harbor location. Service sucked but he food was A+. Brought two friends to Tacoma Mall and this time the service was A+ and the food sucked. My bun was soggy, potatoes were too starchy like the oil needed to be changed and everything was just sloppy. Maybe the food sat too long before served or maybe the cooks just have no pride in their work, but the bottom line is this is strike #2 and the next bad pitch won't be good for Blazing at all.

This place is amazing! Everything I've ever ordered has been on point. Known for their burgers but one day needed some comfort food so branched out & ordered meatloaf w/mashed potatoes & gravy & was SO glad I did. Next time you're around tacoma mall stop here for a meal-they still care about the quality of the food unlike most of the big chain restaurants, & portion size is great. Also have bottomless fries which is a bonus!

Dont even know where to begin with this overpriced ripp off called blazing onion. The service was probably the worst I have ever experienced, not only did they literally manage to screw up every part of our order, it took a half hour to get it. We ordered an appetizer that came out after the crap they called entrees. No apologies for the screw up we only saw our waitress once. Will never go back!

Wow.... Well went here for the first time last night! Went in very quiet hardly anyone there, I was with three other people. We went and found a booth I. The bar. Seem clean, ordered drinks from a nice lady, and chatted over the TVs. Ordered food... An hour later we started wondering where our food was... Finally our food came out and it was AMAZING! Wow!!! The food was so freaking good!! Ready to go back!

Great fish tacos. Great happy hour menu. Love the gluten free burger/bun. I go there at least once a month and normally get one of two servers in the bar who know me by name. Great service and friendly. I'm greeted both at the door and at the bar.

  • J'Alynne R.

Great customer service!! Our waitress was more then helpful, quick to check in with us! She was extremely nice and had a constant smile the whole time! Another gentleman in the bar came to check on us, before she was able to get us our drinks! Nothing better then making sure you've been helped!! Food was pretty good, & considering the size of their dishes the price wasn't bad either! It's a small establishment, so of course seating is limited! I can see why the wait is long! If you're over 21 definitely take advantage of bar seating

Ok First of all I took my Husband there as a valentines dinner gift, While I was there they managed to screw everything on my side up. First I got my food before I even got my french onion soup - they didn't cook my steak right I had to send it back but trying to cut it on their wanna be sheek plates was a nightmare. I got my soup before I even got my steak back - IT WAS BURNT TO HIGH HELL - and by burnt I mean even the outside of the bowl was burnt. They apologized and brought me more potatoes, in fact they LOADED me with potatoes and bread and all I wanted was my freaking steak! I inevitably got a good steak back to me, I ended up switching soups and the second one came back so peppered my husband couldnt even stand it (it was their potato one) and HE LOVES THINGS PEPPERED TO DEATH. All the manager did was apologize and give us a couple of free cake slices. The floors were filthy, the service was piss poor. Had to wait FOREVER for coffee even. I wouldn't support this place ever again; and we thought it'd be good.

Service was so bad, I just couldn't get past it. We were seated for 10 minutes before anyone greeted us, although several servers kept passing our table. I get it that we weren't at "their table" but they could have tracked down our server. For such a new place, I'm surprised how dirty it was, especially the bathroom. Seat cover container empty. Toilet paper all over the floor. Trash overflowing. Bottle of Soft Soap on the bathroom counter. Really? Food was decent. My son liked his burger. The service was just so bad. Hopefully they get it together.

Getting our family to do anything together is similar to herding cats, exhausting and not always successful. You can imagine a dinner out - Everyone was happy with their orders and I was ready for a nap after my meatloaf burger. Beer selection was good and they have a new 100+ flavor soda machine. Good place for a family outing casual and not to loud. Server was attentive - we will be back my next order will be the lamb burger. And (dare I say?) unlike Red Robin I didn't have a sticky table.

I am a very forgiving and low maintenance person when it comes to food. Also, I don't write bad reviews. This is not a place I would recommend. We went here on a Friday night. They were busy but we were seated in the lounge very quickly. We waited a long time (15 min) to order the food, and then it took at least 30 minutes for us to get our food. When it did come, the fries were cold and the onion rings were barely warm. The food was ok, not great. I ordered a Ruben sandwich. In the middle of my sandwich was a piece of ground beef or some other ground something that shouldn't have been there. I told the manager who didn't say much, but went back to the kitchen to see why/if it was there. He said that they cook both meats on the same grill. He offered another half of a sandwich, which I didn't want, but didn't take anything off of the bill. It was gross. The sandwich wasn't very good, and only warm. The service was slow. We were out of ketchup and it took asking 2 people and another 10 minutes before we could get some. Needless to say, we won't go back.

Went on June 30 @ 1 pm. A friend and I went for lunch to get a burger and watch the World Cup. Didn't have to wait so sat in the bar. Was great because they have like 70" LEDs and good view anywhere you sit. Hamburger was good. I would say comparable to RR or Ram. They have bottomless fries. I got the waffle fries and they were great. RR doesn't serve those anymore and was disappointed when they went to steak fries. I would go to Blazing Onion over RR - although I like RR and it's closer to my house. Will go back. Went back and got the french dip and that was good. Had the waffle fries again...They have this BOP sauce and it's like Eegans GOOP in Oly except for with ketchup. I like ranch better. Will still go back.

The servers were really nice. Our food was delish. I think that will be our new go to restaurant. My husband ordered Mediterranean burger it had ground lamb he loved it. It's hard for us to find a place that sells burgers other than beef. (He can't eat meat) I ordered a Cuban sandwich pretty good I hadn't ate one since we lived in Los Angeles 10 months ago

Been here 3 times now all take out and haven't been disappointed yet. Only down fall is it might take up to 15 mins to wait on the food but it's worth it to me. The burgers are big and tasty and the fry portions are huge. If you are a fan of garlic get the garlic fries you won't be disappointed! I will definitely be coming back.

I must say, I'm surprised as to the amount of poor reviews, we (party of 5 including one 5 year old) had a near perfect experience. Frequent and friendly service, clean establishment and the burger options were far and beyond what anyone else has to offer. 2 veggie options, turkey, chicken breast, wild boar and buffalo, plenty of sides as well. With the healthier and local options and focus I was a bit disappointed that while one could have unlimited fries, no extra charge, the salad alternative was small and a one time thing. Anyway, great food and service, good quality, locally sourced and lots of options make the Blazing Onion a keeper.

the service was great and fast. we didnt wait alot for our food. i like the size of the burgers but i didnt like the flavor of the meat no seasoning. I like the environment they have tv to watch sports even in the restroom (they were nice and clean) they have tv.

Came here about a week ago. When we got inside me and bf had to wait for atleast 10 minutes before somebody notice us because the front attendance was busy working on the front door on a busy day. So finally a guy told us we can sit anywhere and since it was our first time and we didnt know what to do we ended up sitting at the bar area. After a fee minutes the bar tender ask for our I.D and because we had a minor with us he told us that we need to be seated somewhere else. Anyways, after all the confusion we finally got seated in a both and gor our orders taken very quick. I order the philly cheese steak sandwich and a side or sweet potato fries. The food was okay, it wasnt that bad at all. The only thing turned me off was how dry the sandwich was even after i dipped it on auju. The potato fries was great with their siracha mayonaise sauce. Place is kinda loud with all the TV. I would come back to try their boar burger to see if we get better food. Overall loud environment with okay food. At the end of the meal we paid about $40 for a sandwich, burger and trio fries appetizer and two drinks. Each burger cost atleast $10+.

I went here to try it out on lunch break despite the frustrations I had heard from a couple coworkers. I went around 4 on a Thursday afternoon. There wasn't anyone at the door to greet you or let you know about seating, so it took me a minute to figure out that I was supposed to seat myself. It took the waitresses a few mins to approach me with a menu, but once I ordered the food was delivered in a reasonable amount of time and was good! It was also plated nicely, which is a nice touch for a foodie like me. Overall, above average service and food but nothing to write home about.

At first, the service was prompt. We were served our drinks and they were good, we then ordered a second round and my friend's drink tasted different from the first one, we informed our server of this, he took the drink to the bar only to return seconds later to tell a that he thinks we were mistaken in a very passive aggressive type fashion. We then convince him it's not right, he then returns with a new drink...which tastes better. Alright, now we're okay. Then it dawned on us that he forgot to bring our entree salad, the server denies not ordering it, yet rushes to this kitchen to put together some stupid salad. We get the salad and the chicken is undercooked and red in the middle. Not pink, but red. We ask for a manager who didn't give a flying f*** and told us it was a "chicken vein". He comps our meal and gives us a cheeseburger, then gives us a bar tab, but low an behold, they charged us for an extra drink. THIS PLACE SUCKS!!! Stay away!!

I came in with my date for valentines day, and right away I was impressed by the excellent customer service and inviting atmosphere. Our server, Bryan, treated us like family and made sure we were well taken care of. The beer was great, the burgers were FANTASTIC, and the fries could not have been better. All in all, this was everything I look for when I'm spending good money at a restaurant. Going to Blazing Onion help make my valentines date outstanding.

Went here on a very busy Saturday night. For a party of two we waited about 10-15 minutes. Once seated, a manager ( possibly the GM) came over and quickly took a drink order and told us our server (Jamal) would be with us soon. Service was efficient and Jamal did let us know that the wait for food would be a bit longer than usual whichever as appreciated. I ordered French onion soup to start with which was very good, not spectacular but tasty. I ordered the boar burger with onion petals and my husband ordered the lamb burger. Both sandwiches were very tasty but greasy. I attributed this to the type of meats. I would order this burger again, but sub the onion straws for simple red onions to eliminate some of the grease. All and all it was a good meal with quality ingredients.

We stopped in here to try something different (BJ's Brewhouse was about 30 across the walkway). We were seated by the hostess who proceeded to tell us that they have this awesome new coke machine but she wasn't sure how to use it or what was in it. So she asked us if we wanted to come over and have a look at it. She did manage to bring us our drinks. So after we sat for a while the Manager finally came over and took our order (this was after he asked a waitress to come take our order and she DIDN'T). Then when it was time to pay another Manager had to come collect our check for us because our waitress forgot about us again. When we got up to leave another waitress (that walked past us about 7 times) apologized to us and said that she didn't know that we were seated in her section. How does this happen? BTW the food was just okay, but the service was so bad that I don't think that I will be back.

My sister & I got stuck in the corner surrounded by two large groups so naturally we got forgotten I got the bacon guac burger and my sister got the boar burger with sweet potato fries; my burger was just greasy in every way possible not the good kind & hers was okay minus the fries being bathed in salt overall I'd rather go to Red Robins .

So the first time I went here was Valentine's Day with my fiance. The wait wasn't very long because we got there kind of late in the evening. So it being slow I figured we'd end up getting our food pretty quick. Wrong!! We ended up waiting at least 45-60 minutes for our food after we ordered. And don't even bother with their mixed drinks, they're like kool aid with a half a shot of liquor, just stick to beer since they can't water that down. So we decide to give it another shot, this time with the kids. We start ordering and the waitress starts to leave the table before she even takes everyones order. My fiance ordered the fish tacos with no green onions because she's allergic. So we order once again its takes at least 45-60 minutes to get our food. Once we get our food, her fish tacos come back with green onions. Now on to the Bob sauce. Bob sauce is a special sauce they use for their fries. They're really stingy when it comes to the Bob sauce, if you have fries you get at least one little container that's not even full, its barely even half full. So we finished all of ours and asked for more, mind you we have five at our table, the waitress brings us one. Overall the atmosphere is cool and the food is not that bad, but the service could be better, and the food shoud get out a little faster.

The only positive thing I can say about our lunch there was the server behind the bar. Should have gotten his name. We were there on a Monday for lunch and it was a disaster. They were short staffed and way overwhelmed. The bartender did the best he could but we still waited about an hour for our food. The food itself was average at best. They still have a lot of kinks to work out.

Not too shabby, service was decent, blackened chicken burger was good, portions were plenty big enough, good garlic fries, the coke freestyle is a plus! Had the peanut butter pie for dessert, good but not as good as I was hoping. Will definitely go back and try something different.

Burgers

Burger or Hamburger is savored as the most desired fast food meal in the United States. A hamburger is basically a sandwich prepared by stuffing ground meat patty, generally beef, between two slices of a bun cut in half. Hamburger is also famous for its seasoning. Most popular condiments used in hamburgers in the United States are mustard, mayonnaise, and ketchup. Besides ground meat patty, hamburgers are also stuffed with lettuce, onions, tomato slices, pickles, and cheese.

Hamburgers are also categorized into two types in the United States. Fast food hamburger and individual hamburgers served at restaurants are two basic types of burgers served in the United States.
