Service: Excellent. Food: Fantastic. Environment: really good. Drinks: are you kidding me - awesome, please try the punch tasty and a fantastic value. When I was in Greece we really wanted to try sweet breads but they were out, who knew it was the table in spokane that would deliver, and they were tasty. Cheers! Brent

So much fun! My husband and I visited last night and the service, food and waitresses was amazing. We ended up doing the chef's choice that ended up being perfect to pass the night away! Great for a date night!

Tapas at it's finest. I'm so happy we stumbled on this little gem. It's a little out of the way and you feel like your in a residential area. You may even want to make reservations because the secret is out on this place. If you don't have reservation you may be stuck in the limited seating area area or stuck out on the street in the heat. Service is delightfully pleasant and very helpful if it's your first time. Ps If it is your first time, give yourself plenty of time to.savor and enjoy each course. This is not a place where they will rush you through. Worth every penny.

This was a fun experience. The food was good, but not as good as I would have expected. It was a bit bland at times. The calamari dish barely had an calamari in it. The environment was very load. I would go back, but probably only if someone else suggested it.

The plates that are good are very very good. The plates that are weird are very weird. I've been 4 times and each is a different experience. It's best to go with a group to get a great selection of small plates.

Again, we were so delighted with the food and drink. We sat in the bar this time and our experience was really ruined by the sarcastic, bearded bartender. I am not sure if he was trying to be funny and failed. I am polite to people all day at my job and I don't even work for tips. I'm dying to give you a 5 star review, WT, but what's up with your front of the house employees??

Very different flavored, 8 courses. Wonderful veggie dishes. Would be great if you are vegan or vegetarian. Don't expect a lot of meat for $40 a plate. I enjoy all but the BF was disappointed. Be prepared to wait at least 30 minutes between courses

My husband and I ate at Wandering Table last night and overall it was a very nice experience. Food - Excellent! We did the chef's tasting menu and set the price limit at $50/each. I lost count of the number of plates we shared, but I think it was around 9-10. Everything we tasted was awesome! Half of the plates were vegetable based and the other half were proteins, with one dessert at the end. The duck pastrami was my husband's favorite and I loved the grilled romaine. I also had the red wine flight ($15) and every wine was very good. At the end we were both very full! Atmosphere - Very noisy. It was Saturday night and every table was full, but it was louder than I expected. Service - This is where I take one star off of my rating. Service was just average. The hostess was polite, but not very friendly and she didn't smile at us or any of the groups that were seated ahead of us. Our server fell into the same category, polite and efficient, but again, not very friendly. She brought out our drinks and kept the plates of food coming quickly and explained each plate, but not once in over two hours of dining did she ask how were doing or if we liked the food or if there was anything we needed. We had to ask for clean plates and so did the table across from us. Maybe it was just our server, but honestly, I've had better service at places like IHOP or Buffalo Wild Wings. With tip, we spent $150, and I expect near excellent service when I'm spending that much on a dinner for two people. Overall, we had a very nice evening and I would definitely return in the future

At first this came across to me as just another hipster joint right out of the hipster handbook ready to serve hipster food that I wouldn't be able to tolerate for the hipster prices I was paying. But my wife made the plans and I figured that I had to play a smart hand. Turned out that I was wrong on many accounts. We read the menu and decided to try the chef's choice option. We chose to spend $35/person and hope for the best. Adventure called.. The deviled eggs. I don't really like deviled eggs. BUT I WANTED ALL $35 TO GO TOWARDS THOSE DEVILED EGGS! As for the rest of the food that came out, many items didn't exist on the menu, so it was cool. A few were a miss, but with 9 courses (yup, 9!), I didn't expect to win them all. (fried tofu - you, just can't polish that turd). We will be back for sure and I'm sure we will take the same approach. And I think $35 is right where we'll stay next time too.

Sat at the bar. Service: excellent. Atmosphere: casual and comfortable. Modern but minimal. Food: chili tuna - not salty enough at first but combined with chicharones turned out great. Oysters on the half - over seasoned, recommend sauce on the side. Roasted asparagus - excellent. Roasted pork - excellent, thought that it would need to be paired with red to stand up to the spices but Chardonnay was a better match due to the delicate and nutty flavors. Pine nuts were a nice touch! Wine/liquor selection - excellent. Local ingredients and charcoal prep very courageous!

OK, not a 5. The cheddar biscuits were dry... but everything else was good. The service was outstanding and the food great. I had the oysters, deviled eggs, tuna with lime and the lime coconut soup. A good bourbon stout washed it all down. Not that expensive for all that I had. They credited me the price of the biscuits.

Wow - I thought I had died and went to Portland. The food here was amazing. This 4 star is a solid Portland-level 4 star rating (not an inflated rural rating, sorry Spokane). We went with a large group for a birthday party and did the chefs choice option, $30 per person, and the small plates continuously brought to our table were delightful and inventive, with a twist to engage the culinary curiosity of even the most leery of our foodies. The goat cheese blackberry cheesecake had depth and a subtle silky piquant flavor, but our favorite as a group was the chilled gazpacho tomatillo soup - genius! Don't miss this surprising gem in spokane's new Kendall Yards area, south of the courthouse.

A small plate feast. What a fantastic experience. We came to take advantage of a wonderful offer for all Yelpers, through the monthly Yelp Spokane Supper Club. We received a $40 meal for just $25! It was a Chef's Taste for each of the small courses served. FOOD *Deviled Eggs (2 halves),with pomme frites (micro french fries), bacon, maple glaze *Baby Kale Salad with curado cheese, shaved mushrooms *Asparagus, toasted garlic bits, truffled cheddar cheese *Miso Soup with pork broth (lots of ginger), ramen salad *Fried cauliflower coated w/rice flour, raisins, curry aoli *Steelhead, rainbow chard slivers, chard stem bits *Beef sliders with pineapple salsa, butter lettuce, 1 bun requested after ordering gluten free items *Applewood-Vanilla Crème Brulee I made a request for gluten free dishes and was asured that I could be accommodated without much change to the menu. As already shared by other yelp diners, the food can be unparalleled. This was our first visit and I was wowed by the tastes, textures, freshness, and attractive presentation of all the dishes served. Each was served family style (one dish, shared by all at the table) and presented as you finished the preceding dish. A couple of exceptions from a gluten free diet was the ramen in the miso soup and the requested bun for one of the sliders. The portion sizes were definitely small, but oh so well prepared, absolutely delicious. Their kale was the first and best I've ever had, being not bitter. We finished our incredibly delicious meal still feeling a fraction unfullfilled though. Service was friendly, efficient, and attentive. Like fellow yelper Tony D. said on his check in, we felt like royalty. When our wait person could not answer questions, she went to seek the answers and promptly returned. The Wandering Table is one of several restaurants, all family owned, located in the lovely Kendall Yards area. Their website says their food is all locally sourced. Parking is free on the street. *4.5 stars rounded up to 5!* Wandering Table and Alyssa A., thank you for a top shelf meal opportunity!

The food here, is nearly indescribably good. The quality of the food belongs in a far more metropolitan environment. We are lucky to have this level of quality, and dedication. Yet the real treat is the service. Not only is this a great place for special occasions, but feel free to drop in on a Tuesday evening, shorts & T-shirt, and be treated to what is best described as a, "dining experience." Please, do yourself the respect of stopping in. This is an experience you should have.

After many recommendations and raves from several people + yelp reviews we were looking forward to dinner Wandering Table. Major disappointment ! We walked in on a Wednesday around 530 and the host asked us if we had reservations. We said we did not and he told us that only the bar area was open. At this point, the restaurant was half full. But we decided to sit at the bar. Throughout the entire time wee were there, at least 4-5 unoccupied tables without anyone sitting after we walked in!! Although we ordered a couple of drinks and few dishes, service at the bar by the bartender was very minimum and inattentive. I would understand if we just had drinks but we had dinner as well. Now the food... Umami burgers ( overcooked meat/ didn't ask how we wanted it) not much flavor Seared tuna tostada ( major let down on the fish and sauce ! ) Duck pastrami ( probably the most decent dish out all of them but portion was tiny) And we decided to order what should be a crowd pleaser ... Spaghetti meatballs ( NOT). Also , I would highly suggest changing their house red. It's not an easy red that would appeal to must crowds as a house should be. My husband and I left disappointed wondering what all the hype is about this place. Chef and management check yourself.

The service was phenomenal, the food was way too good I could have eaten my self into a satisfied coma. The bacon on the deviled eggs was so tasty. Spaghetti in meat balls? Who even came up with that? BRILLIANT! Brought leftovers home and my friends were extremely pleased as well. Definitely recommend this place! Side note: the coffee was really good.

I am currently having a love affair with the Wandering Table. I think I would eat here weekly if practical, daily life would simply get out of my way. The ambiance is fabulous and I have always had wonderfully attentive (but not overbearing) service from the staff. Lets talk food. My favorite option is to let the chef choose for me. Seriously...Chef's Choice is wonderful. You'll sample things that are never on the menu, the food just keeps coming and you can still let them know what things to pass on and what you can't (or wont) eat. The Crispy Eggplant will make an eggplant lover out of the most skeptical diner. While I love the Roast Chicken Wings and accompanying Thai Apple Salad the wings themselves are rather difficult to eat...sort of awkward. Oh and don't forget the fried Trout. For late night snacking I always order the Serrano Pepper Chips. Crispy, salty and spicy chips that you dip into the most delicious sweet honey cheese spread whipped into perfection. Don't even get me started on the drink menu. There are a number of classic cocktails with The Wandering Table's personal touch and attention to the finer details and the price of those beverages is unbelievably reasonable. Drop by late on a Friday or Saturday night (they're open until 1am and serve food until close) or enjoy a late afternoon cocktail some other time of week. The bartenders are knowledgeable and friendly so I enjoy grabbing a seat there when I'm not really in the mood for a full meal. But really, who am I kidding? I love the food so much I can never leave without ordering some small, delectable nibble.

Ok, I've been here twice now, which means I can give a proper review. My wife and I absolutely love this place. The plates are small, but the tastes are huge. We were lucky enough to make it to the Yelp Spokane Supper Club night and got the Chef's Choice $40 dinner for $25. They were more than happy to accommodate my vegetarian tendencies. Here's what we had: 1) Deviled Eggs: I don't even like deviled eggs. But these were amazing. There was some kind of maple syrup on top which totally sealed the deal. 2) Kale Salad: If there is one thing your body needs, it's more kale. Seriously people, eat more kale. 3) Crispy Cauliflower with Curry Aioli: We had this last time and I prayed to the vegan gods that they would serve it this time. Success! 4) Asparagus with Cheese: Three words that couldn't be more perfect together. 5) Tofu Soup. Chilled. Yum. 6) Pea and Cheese Salad. I've never had anything like this before. It was amazing. 7) BUTTERNUT SQUASH FRIES. Yes, I'm yelling. Pieces of squash battered and deep fried to perfection and served with a spicy chipotle sauce. So good. I can't even ... 8) Flatbread with Eggplant Tapenade: Also topped with onions and artichoke hearts. We were so stuffed by this point. But I managed to cram half of this thing into my stomach because it just tasted so good. I even had all the pieces my wife couldn't finish. I'm nice like that. 9) Warm, moist, chocolate-chip cookie with ice cream on top: How every meal should be ended.

This rating was affected by the service and inattentiveness in the kitchen as the food itself is very good. I was halfway through the tuna melt when I bit into something rock hard and thought it might've chipped a tooth. It appeared to be a piece of petrified wood slightly larger than a dime and the server laughingly explained that sometimes wood from the oven jumps into food. But having an impenetrable unidentified object in my food made me lose my appetite and the fact that I was charged for a tainted, half-eaten sandwich added insult to injury.

We arrive at our reservation time (6:30) and they try to seat us right away but our table is occupied by other patrons, so we turn around and head back to the waiting area. After about 10 minutes our waitress comes to inform us of the situation (the people just ordered desserts) and it will be awhile. No problem, she offers drinks from the bar. We say yes, then she hands us menus, we ask for a few minutes to decide (there are six of us) after 10-15 minutes the host asks us if we would like drinks while we wait, we put in our order. About five minutes later the waitress returns to get our drink order. We let her know the host took care of it. This should have been our clue on how the rest of the evening would go. We sat down maybe five minutes later at around 7:20.We decided to do the Chef's Choice, $40 ($20-$65 is the range) each person. The food didn't have a pace to it, some plates came out fast, some came out slow. The food was okay, which I was really surprised about. I've heard great things and maybe it was an off night. One of our friends found a hair in one of the dishes. When it came to dessert, which was tasty but it was sitting on the counter for awhile and the ice cream in it was half melted. It was an okay experience and not sure we will go again. I think they think they are better than they are.

Me: "So let me get this straight - you just tell them how much you want to spend, say you want the chef's choice, and they just start bringing out food?" My friend: "That's all there is to it." That conversation directed me to my latest culinary adventure at the Wandering Table. My wife and I love to try new restaurants, and I particularly enjoy sampling several dishes as opposed to filling up on just one. This experience was right up my alley. Our server, Ryan, had excellent timing, checking in with us as pleasant intervals (without hovering) and bringing food just when we were ready for it. He was also friendly and patient as I awkwardly tried to figure out how drinks fit into the price. Starting at the beginning, my wife ordered an Old Fashioned that was strong enough but not too strong. I had an Orlison/Roast House collaboration beer, a Vanilla Coffee Stout (last picture, with my lovely wife). It was delicious! Ryan then appeared with maple bacon deviled eggs and some tasty roasted parsnips (9th picture is the egg. We were hungry and had already eaten the parsnips before I thought to snap a picture). Soon after, here came a refreshing shaved carrot, green onion, and cashew salad (picture 8). It was light and excellent. Hot on its heels were pulled pork sliders with pickled onions and peppers (7th picture). I would eat an entire meal of these. Next up: pastrami cured duck breast with sauerkraut and stone ground mustard along with Hoisin Fried Tofu, which came in dashi broth with fried garlic. That course is picture 6, and I enjoyed it as well. Not bad for someone who generally does not appreciate tofu. *Please bear in mind that these were mini portions of everything. Reviewing my photos and writing this, I am shocked at how much food we actually tried.* After the tofu and duck breast came pictures 5 and 4, fried cauliflower with curry aioli and raisin vinegar, accompanied by baked salmon with sriracha sauce. No sooner had we finished those tasty tidbits than Ryan brought fried Idaho trout with ginger glaze, cucumber jalapeno salad, and jasmine rice. That is picture 3, and it was delicious. *Note - At this point, I felt like Pavlov's dog. As soon as Ryan appeared, I felt hungry and started looking for food. I was not disappointed.* Our final dinner course was spaghetti stuffed meatballs with marinara sauce. They were hot and flavorful (picture 2). I forgot to specify at the beginning that we didn't need dessert, so we ended up with it, which worked out great. Picture 1 is blueberry cheesecake with a scoop of vanilla ice cream on the plate, creme brulee in the bowl. They were both quite good and an excellent sweet finish to the savory masterpiece that was dinner. It is my hope that after reading this long review you feel full (of knowledge) and satisfied, much as Nancy and I did as we left the Wandering Table last night.

Wandering Table offers the option of a chef tasting menu with multiple courses to share at your table. I came here with a group of six and it was such a great dining experience! We did the name your price option of $35 each and enjoyed all the fresh, foodie deliciousness they served. YUM. They do fruits and vegetables really really well and I love their wine list. Pro tip: sit in the bar if you want the most optimal lighting.

I'm torn on how to leave this review. I've done the chef's taste twice, but the experience varied greatly! The first time we went we were a party of four on a Friday night. We chose the $30 option. The food was so good and it just kept coming. We also received an incredible selection of food. We were there for about two hours and it was truly an epicurean delight. The second time, we were once again a group of four, but on a Monday night. We did the $30 tasting again. It was a let down. We maybe received half the number of courses and by the end of the meal we were still hungry. The variety was also lacking - I don't think we received anything that was off menu, we probably would have been better off just ordering one of all the small plates. Our server was super nice and did score us an extra dessert. I'll eat here again, but I'm definitely going on a Friday or Saturday.

We've been wanting to check out the new restaurants in this area for some time. Lured by the menu, we finally made it in this weekend. Since small plates are their specialty, we tried a few. We had the Duck Fries, Duck Pastrami, Scallops, Deviled Eggs, and Mole Tacos. The duck fries were amazing; crispy fries smothered in duck with a creamy gravy, topped with cheese! The duck pastrami with its hint of smoke accompanied by ground mustard and light sauerkraut. The scallops were sushi style with an amazing aioli with lemongrass. The deviled eggs were great, topped with bacon and crunchy potato. Last but not least, the mole tacos were melt in your mouth. Come check this place out, the food is great, the have an amazing cocktail menu as well.

Absolutely by far one of the best meals I've ever eaten. I recommend the tasting menu. I did the 5 courses. Plenty of food. Good was well seasoned, appropriate temperature, and explained well by the server. I've been 3 times and had fantastic service, and fantastic food, the spaghetti meatball will probably blow your mind.

We tried to go to yards and because of their lack of service in on accomadating a party of 7 we noticed the wandering table was open as I walked in and asked if they could seat a party of 7 the host quickly set us up a table on the back wall Our server was a delight and very efficient. The menu was a little more up scale and the lunch special for 14 dollars offers a combo of three items. I ordered the combo as well as my wife so we split 6 differant choices. hey yards I got a message for u and your uppity staff........ go to the wandering table instead

My wife and I found this place to be outrageously wonderful. I understand some of the negative reviews based on the fact people are finding small portions after ordering expensive proteins. What do you expect? We ate vegetarian with $25 each for a 10-course meal including dessert. Everything was amazing, tasted great, perfect portion size for us, left us very full, and excited to go back. Draft list was the only thing we found to be sub-par as far as selection quantity and quality. Excellent and very friendly staff as well. See you next time WT.

I don't want to jump the gun, but this place might be the best restaurant in Spokane! The creativity in the appetizers and entrees is truly refreshing. My boyfriend and I each started off with a brew. My drink of choice was the Stella Artois Cidre and his was Dos Equis Lager. The server made some recommendations, and then we finally decided on the Taters Brava and garlic bread for appetizers. I honestly couldn't find a single flaw in either of those two dishes. The savory taste is perfection. My boyfriend ordered a Kale salad for us to share that was drizzled with a mustard dressing. Yes, after all that we still had entrees coming. I ordered the Bacon wrapped bacon sliders, now these aren't your average little sliders, they are better. It's cooked pig belly, and then wrapped in bacon. It has such a succulent taste, and had just enough crisp on the outside. It also, had a little jalepeno kick! My boyfriend had the steamed Manila clams and ate every bite. To top off this exquisite experience, I couldn't leave without trying the sea salt chocolate chip cookie, which of course left me no disappointments. I am already planning my next visit and it's awesome that they serve food until 1am! Now when I get off work I won't be limited to fast food late at night.

Loved the duck. I was not very impressed with the beef tacos. In all honesty the meat tasted like a barn smells :(. Maybe that is what organic grass fed beef tastes like but... That is a little too organic for me. I liked the atmosphere and the creativity on the menu.

My husband and I decided to give this place a try for the first time early Friday afternoon... Once we walked in, we realized that a party of approximately 30 people had decided to give it a try as well. At first I thought we should leave. Then, I thought we should just be patient. Based on the number of people in the restaurant, our experience would obviously be diminished. Nope! Great service, delicious food, and unbelievably reasonable prices. Get the deviled eggs! If you care at all about yourself, you would try them. The only disappointment I had was that the deviled eggs weren't offered in an entree sized portion.

Well I heard that the Wandering Table was open! After my experience at the yards, I was definitely not sure how this was going to go, but again am game for any new place in Spokane. Went on a Sunday night with friends and the place definitely has a nice feeling decor. Nice set tables and wine glasses. The food is tapas style, little $5-8 plates that can be shared with the group. There is also a "name your price" menu where I guess they will custom make a menu for your group. They also have a decent beer and wine selection and are pushing "libations" or some additional craft cocktails to make it special. We decided to do a decent sampling of the menu and share among the 4 of us. We also ordered two rounds of craft cocktails... gin and tonic, moscow mule, and a couple whiskey drinks. I will sum up with a 1-5 star, with 5 being darn fine food anywhere is Spokane! Small Plates Deviled eggs with maple bacon- 4s, a nice perfect bite. I am a sucker for good deviled eggs! I love this for a tapas menu, and makes me want more... Sweet at first but then had a nice creamy yolk....yum, I would order again in a second! Things were looking up for Wandering table!!!! Idaho potato skins with salt and cheese- 2s, Ok maybe I was too happy after the eggs. The skins were ok but they were basically a skin, with a small amount of hard cheese and salt. There was a great sauce on the plate but since you are sharing no one wants to wipe the plate with their potato. Would be way improved with the sauce applied to the potato. Presentation gone bad.... Cold bar Garden- This was a salad with some pickled asparagus, and a thicker creamy garlic dressing. the "dirt" was seasoned rye bread. Overall everyone liked it. The single lettuce leaf was alittle sad.... 3 stars. solid. Shaved beet- Nice golden beets shaved with some hard cheese, light oil dressing. Simple, and wonderful. 5 stars Fresh oysters- Nice arrangement of 6 oysters, I don't eat sea food, but the presentation was nice. I was told it would be nice with a "something" sauce, maybe a dash of hot sauce or something....basically they are raw oysters. Table Plates Spaghetti stuffed meatballs- Came with a nice pepper sauce, we learned to ask for additional sauce.....a signature dish, not to be missed 5 stars. Nettle flatbread- I liked this a lot more than everyone else. A nice pesto sauce, nettles, on a soft warm flatbread. it got a little greasy but was tasty 4 stars Bacon wrapped sliders- These were actually something I didnt' think I would like. Basically, a slider that is pork belly, and then wrapped in bacon. I thought I wouldn't like it because usually this means a lot of unrendered fat, which I think is gross. Nope nicely cooked and the perfect bite. 5 stars. Desert Olive-oil gelato/fudge/salt- Ummmm, it is what it is. An olive olive oil gelato with hot fudge....friggen heaven. 6 stars!!!! Cookie and ice cream- The cooks had to remake this for us, so we ended up with a free gelato. But when we got it, another perfect desert 5 stars. Cocktails- We all were let down by the cocktails. They took way too long to make, so there were huge wait times for them, and most really were normal/ even watery versions. The bar needs a lot of work. I would go straight to beer or wine next time. I didn't even finish my mule, because you couldn't taste any ginger beer in there. Sooooo. Overall, we did have a great time. Our waiter was friendly and good spirited. The food actually came out at a decent pace considering they just opened, and I feared the worst from the yards. Some misses on the menu.. potato skins, and cocktails. But there were a whole lot of awesome dishes. I am a fan!!!!! So much better than the yards it hurts. Different servers? Different cooks? I am certainly confused how a Chef could have such an excellent restaurant and such a ho-hum brunch place. Maybe overtime that will change. But I can say, go to the Wandering Table! Have desert! I will be back!

Found this place by accident and thought I was in love. The atmosphere was quite and laid back, everything you want in a lunch time restaurant. The food was new and exciting with lovely twists on popular dishes. Sadly this love was short lived when the wait staff failed to deliver our food for over an hour and then proceeded to serve me and my family stone cold clams. The wait staff made no real effort to fix the problem and we received no compensation for our meal. Consistency is the name of the game and the Table definitely dropped the ball on this one.

Been here 4 times, and every time its been great. Sometimes service is a little slow, but they are always busy during the evenings and I wouldn't say ANY of these dishes are easy to make. The menu does change a bit, so you never know what good things you'll find. What makes the place unique is the serving size, they are smaller plates designed to be shared.. I love this idea because im not a fan of just one huge plate for one. Its nice to be able to try 4-6 things at one table. The quality of food is great, and I really think this one of Spokane best new restaurants. Id say its casual-fine dining environment, you'll see some fancy couples in there, and then the occasional casual single person. Also, they are open fairly late..which is nice to be able and go out at 10pm for dinner after a long day. Bottom line : Stop reading reviews and go there!

There is a great variety of tastes. The flavors blend marvelously with the individual dishes however, the total combination or culmination of all the flavors when choosing the chef's choice dinner is (while being delicious) almost overwhelming. I recommend ordering what you want off the menu, not smorgasbording it with the chef's choices. Excellent food though. We will return.

We were just being tourists for a few hours in the lovely city of Spokane and the kind folks at the local REI suggested Wandering Table in the new-ish classy Kendall Yards neighborhood. The Wandering Table was super-fine choice. The service was very attentive and knowledgeable about both the food and the history of the area. The atmosphere is quite sophisticated but low-key. The food was very tasty, beautiful to look at, and fairly priced. Though this is a tapas-style place, the portion sizes exceeded our expectations in the positive way. The bulgolgi beef tacos were sublime. All of our entrees were sourced locally. The desserts were really really good, especially the creme brulee and the goat ice cream on a flat biscuit type of platform. Highly recommended.

This place has such a fun concept, just tell them how much you want to pay and food keeps coming until you explode! Visiting from way down South, we were along for the ride as our local friends recommended this place. Drinks were expertly crafted and food was unique and plentiful - we went for the $30 range. From what I can remember, we had: Moscow Mules Salmon pate Endive salad (big miss IMO, totally not a fan of lettuce covered in mayo and calling it a dish) Brussels sprouts Potatoes Flank steak Dessert Gave 4 stars. Food was great and fun atmosphere, but you never know what you might get!

Wow how bad can a new place sink to? Carrot salad just just like carrots with basil and cashews. Flavors did by blend at all. Hemingway drink is good. Miso glazed cod was fishy cold and tasteless. Grilled oysters tasted like oysters which I guess is okay if you like no other flavor. So sad to see this place slip so badly. Service is slow and not friendly. Try Mizuna or Republic Pi. anywhere but here.

I am giving The Wandering Table only 3 stars not because of the food but because of the atmosphere. I am well acquainted with the chef Adam, and I know the quality of his food and that his dishes are simply fantastic. However a large part of any dining experience is the atmosphere and unfortunately this location has missed the mark but not by much. Well it is a bit noisy and you cannot hear the music it lacks ambiance which could easily be fixed by some nice color added to the space and perhaps then the lights slightly and adding some candles to the tables. Presently all the walls are stark white and there is very little color in any of the space leaving it feeling somewhat sterile and loud.

Had a wonderful evening out in the sun with my family. We had the deviled eggs, asparagus, spagetti stuffed meatballs, Idaho trout and beet salad. Everything was to die for! And not to mention the wonderful service!:)

One of my favorite restaurants in Spokane! Awesome location. Do the chose your price option.. You won't regret it.

Starting with the positive: wonderful interior. They got that down. Beautiful views of Spokane. Good lunch prices. The idea of the menu was pretty good overall. Drink menu was fantastic. However, the taste of the food- from the Dorky Fries down to the trout was mediocre at best. The service was rude- I asked for a salad as a side and he said "that's not something we do." Hmmmmmmm. Interesting. I'll give it some time to develop and evolve before going back. Hang in there, you've got potential, Wandering Table.

If I could give this place 6 stars I would. You know those restaurants where the food AND the service are as on point as they can get...that's this place. And those types of restaurants are very rare these days. As a server myself, I appreciate quality food but even more I appreciate exceptional customer service. I called the restaurant and was told that they were closing soon but the guy who answered, who I later found out was the manager, said if I could be there soon he would keep the kitchen open. For me I loved the place right there. I told him I'm from out of town and have no idea what your menu is, I had $20 and told him to surprise me. I got there and the restaurant was basically empty. My Food was ready and he ordered me the deviled eggs, kale salad, and the stuffed meatballs. Everything was amazing! I could taste the quality. The tomato sauce with the meatballs was some of the best Tomato sauce I've ever tasted. The deviled eggs were out of this world, the kale salad...everything was the BOMB. And on top of that I got to meet the managers and even the beautiful cook who made my food came out and introduced herself while she was saying bye to her co workers. I will definitely be back here whenever I visit Spokane again and I will definitely be recommending this to anyone coming to this area. Thank you for the unexpected delight guys!

This is a tough one to write. Four of us opted for the Chef's Choice @ $35 / person. All of the dishes we had were good to very good, but there was very little meat or fish on the dishes.....overloaded with salads and mushrooms. I think the thing that was most disappointing was the amount of food we got for $140 - we counted about 10 plates, most of which on the menu seemed to be priced at the $9-12 range. We left feeling we had paid a premium from the regular menu.....perhaps it was a friday night, perhaps our waiter was over worked....who knows. The drinks were very fairly priced....wine seemed like less than 2X what I could buy it for in a store and there was a good selection of beer and cocktails..... Just spending $200+ in total and leaving hungry doesn't seem quite right.

One of those not for everyone places. If you are a fan of 'Top Chef', then it would be right down your alley, however, if you are fan of Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives then you might want to take a left. What I liked... a cool, slightly upscale, classy place to visit with friends/loved ones over quality drinks while sharing tapas. I love the concept of small plate/tapas servings since I am an appetizer fiend. The food overall is creative and adds its own influence on recognizable dishes such as deviled eggs stuffed with maple-bacon filling and spaghetti stuffed meatballs... the spaghetti is inside the meatball... cool stuff. My personal favorites are the crispy eggplant and hoisin fried tofu. If you are a food adventurer, it's definitely a place you could visit several times to truly get the 'lay of the land' since the dishes are diverse in flavors and genres.

We enjoyed Wandering Table, a fresh change in Spokane. Crispy Califlower was a great start and Green Apple donuts was the perfect ending of our meal. The duck pastrami worked very well with the condiments, that will be a favorite upon our return. Shaved beet needs a shout out. A Dry Fly whiskey flight on feature this night was a fun surprise being a fan of the gin since a visit in 2009.

Very rarely do I give a 5 star review, but I give it to Wandering Table without hesitation. We had the lime tuna and deviled eggs for appetizers, gnocchi, and umami burgers for entrees, and creme brûlée for desert. And LOVED every last bite! Wonderful service, fantastic drinks! All for $60!! We'll be back!

It was a culinary adventure. It definitely showcases how veggie dishes can be complex and bold in flavor. The deviled eggs left a lasting impression! Just make sure to have 2+ hours for this dinning experience.

I had such high hopes for the wandering table. I've been looking forward to it for months. We went in the early evening(6ish)on a Saturday and there wasn't hardly any people there yet. We decided to sit outside which was nice. Their cocktails were very good but a little pricey. We decided to be adventurous and do the chefs tasting. That's really where our evening turned. You tell them what you don't like or can't eat and the rest is up to them. We decided to go with $35 per person(you can pick $20-$65). The first couple of plates were yummy. But then it just started taking FOREVER! We calculated that our meal took roughly 2+ hours. This would be fine if we weren't starving because the plates were tiny and started taking 20-30 mins in between plates. We were finally over it and asked for our check. I'm super disappointed that after spending $65 per person I was still hungry!! Our poor server had just started and didn't know what he was doing. Often times he'd just put a plate in front of us and leave. We didn't know what we were about to eat then a couple times we'd ask and he had no idea. Train your people!! I used the restroom prior to leaving and my sister asked to speak to the manager and gave him feedback about our evenings experience. His response was merely "yeah we're under staffed". Unexceptional. I'm so disappointed, I so badly wanted to love this dining experience but it just left me with an empty wallet and stomach!

Hmmm... Strong beautiful drinks-that was wonderful! I have been here twice now, once for lunch and once for dinner. Currently they have a "pick three items for $12/13?" Lunch special that was pretty great! Loved that. Good portions, great price. Interesting food. Came back for dinner... Elf portions, higher prices. I was starving when we arrived and still starving when we left! And I did order an entree. I also ate part of an appetizer and one of my husbands little burgers. And I am not some massive person who eats a ton either. WHY do restaurants do that?? Why decrease your portion size for dinner?! And up your prices?! It just makes me only want to go for lunch. And not very often, cuz I know your bourgeois table games!

We were seated promptly, only to have our server completely forget about us. Menus were brought to the table with water, and that was the end of our dining experience. We sat for nearly 25 minutes waiting for the server to return to take our orders before just walking out with out any of the wait staff noticing at all. Our "server" walked by our table at least five times without so much as a "Be right with you." This concludes my review of a restaurant in which I never even got to try the food. Good luck to anyone else that tries the wandering table. Let me know how it is...

First of all, and most importantly, the food was fantastic! There were a few very small mistakes with execution... But other than that, it was an inventive menu, with fresh ingredients, and beautiful plate design! We got the flight as opposed to ordering individually. Awesome way to go! You get a ton of food as far as flights are concerned. It was absolutely satisfying! From the dining area, you have a direct line of sight into the kitchen. You could see just how dedicated the cook were. It was almost as entertaining as getting the meal itself! The waitstaff was also very kind, although not very interactive. Per usual, with any good Spokane restaurant, the other patrons had a stuffy, pretentious feel to them. But that was quickly overlooked and overshadowed by the quality of the food and cocktails!

Went to dinner at the Wandering Table this past week. We arrived to no reception. Waited while service staff worked about the tables. The phone rang at the front while we waited. Soon two people arrived, one to offer us a table and the other saying they just took a phone reservation for the last table. Fortunately they went ahead and seated us, probably figuring another table would open before the phone reservation arrived. I was not impressed with the lack of reception and the near rejection when we were waiting before the phone rang. On to dinner. Service was fair. I am not a fan of the current open kitchen/dining room fad in restaurant design. The wait staff is constantly standing at the kitchen food service wall looking confused. The space is very noisy due to the concrete floors, hard walls and windows. The food was good, many unique items. The descriptions on the menu are a bit cryptic. Call a salad a salad please. The crisped kale was very good. The asparagus was just OK. The Idaho trout was cooked perfectly and was very delicious. So for me the food is good, the service needs some improvement and the space is noisy.

Fantastic experience. Friendly, knowledgable servers and a great atmosphere. We didn't like where we were sat at first- they gladly gave us another table. We enjoyed the chef's tasting for $30 per person and it was amazing. My only complaint is that the food came out too fast. We had three plates sitting in front of us at one time getting cold while we were trying to finish our other dishes. Great place for a food adventure.

This restaurant is wonderful! Definitely do the chef's choice option. You tell the server how much you want to spend per person and the kitchen will send out several (maybe more?) small plates and courses. You can tell the server about any dietary requests or dislikes. The food is all sourced fairly locally and it's fresh and delicious. The only reason I didn't give it 5 stars is the noise level inside gets loud and it's tough to talk if you are in a large group.

Woo Hoo! It's Inlander Restaurant Week! We chose to go to Wandering Table. My wife had been there before but I have never been, The good - overall service - food quality - food originality What could be better - seating\atmosphere We called after work on a Friday to see if we could get in. We were told if we could be there in 15 minutes, otherwise they were booked for the evening. We got over there in time and were seated immediately. They were busy. During Restaurant Week, They have in addition to their regular menu, two different courses to choose from along with dessert. Each course had three different items. So it was a very good sampling of food. $28 per person. While all the food was good, there were a few that really stood out to me. 1. Maple Deviled Eggs with bacon - WOW! Where have these been? Fantastic! 2. Crispy Trout - The flavors here were just amazing. There was a little ginger an other flavors that just worked together. 3. Olive Oil Gelato - I almost went for the cheesecake but decided to try somethinbg different. The flavors of Dark Choclate, Sea Salt, and Candied Orange all work very well together. 4. Mushroom Bruschetta - I am not a fan of mushrooms so it didn't do much for me. My wife said it was fantastic. There was one that didn't stand out to me. 1. Pastrami Duck - I'm very picky when it comes to duck, we were also missing the Rye cracker that was supposed to go with it. Most of the flavors on the plate were good, but the duck really didn't have much flavor to it. The atmosphere didn't really do much for me. We sat at a tall table and what seemed like bar stools with backs. It wasn't very inviting to sit and stay for a while, nor was it very comfortable. It appears they have a place for outdoor seating when the weather is better. That could be really nice. Service was very good until we got halfway through the second course. I think our waiter was streched a little thin. We had to wait between two courses for a bit and when he returned, he had skipped a course. As soon as he realized what he did, he apologized and made it right. He was very attentive the rest of the time. So, I will be back. Service was good and food was overall fantastic. Maybe next time I can sit someplace more comfortable or even outside.

I have personally known one of the chefs for 5 years now and I was not disappointed when I came to the restaurant. My husband and I got the Chef's Choice and we were blown away. The Chef's Choice is literally the chef's choice. You tell them how much you want to pay per person and they send you entree after entree until you get your money's worth. It's wonderful because they have the creative license to serve you anything they can think of that isn't necessarily on the menu. I love the concept of small plated servings because you can have multiple different dishes and still spend the same amount of money as you would on one monotonous meal somewhere else. The drinks were on point and I loved the atmosphere. They really know how to put a spin on classic dishes and drinks. The chef made his own personal recipe of Mac and Cheese that was absolutely phenomenal. I personally think it should be added to the menu because I know it will be a customer favorite! I also suggest the ginger glazed wings seasoned with scotch bonnet pepper. It's not on the menu but it's my personal favorite.

Food was AMAZING! We were told by many locals to come here and it was awesome! The only reason I would give it a 4 instead of 5 is our service was absolutely terrible. The server was so rude and seemed like she was annoyed the whole time. I would still recommend it for the great food though.

I tried the drumsticks over rice and the meat was so dried out (may have been reheated). It also smelled bad as if it was older. The rice was highly spiced.

The good: bulgogi tacos, kimchi quesadillas (however, the kimchi had an odd flavor for kimchi. Not sure if it was the recipe or if it was starting to go bad), and the idaho trout. The host was very friendly and welcoming. The bad: The chicken wings were atrocious. $11 for a pound and that gets you three bland wings so there is an idea of how large these things are. The soy sauce/teriyaki marinade they were sitting in coupled with the multiple 90 degree angles of the wing made them messier than ribs - They couldn't be cut, they were too awkward to gnaw on, and the soupy base made them impossible to break at the joints without flinging sugary sauce onto yourself or the next table. I made it through one half-eaten wing before giving up. The apple slaw that came with the wings was experimental and whatever spice was on them made them unrecognizable as apples. I did get a small level of satisfaction watching another tables' reaction upon their wings arriving followed by confusion and curiosity of how to eat them. This dish was by far the worst and overpriced dish we had. The restaurant was also extremely noisy which wouldn't be a problem if the food were good enough to distract from that. The mediocre: pumpkin donuts with a questionably gelatinous apple sauce to pour on top, the chocolate cheesecake tart with a smoky/burnt flavored caramel sauce of which I couldn't tell whether it was smoky on purpose or just overcooked, the creme brûlée which was more like a vanilla pudding with a crispy brûlée top. I did let my server know how unhappy I was with my wings and they discounted that plate with otherwise little disinterest in my dissatisfaction. Overall, the place was busy so give it a try because people obviously like this place. I get the small plate idea, but the large menu was overwhelming. I did not care for it and will be going to Ruins when I want small, hand crafted, seasonal plates.

Great food! I had the sliders the jalepenos were spicy and sweet, other guests had the Moroccan chicken and the tartare all were amazing. Small portions so get a salad and an entree. Also make sure to try the pepper chips! Service was so-so and it's not because they were busy

Seven of us went in for dinner last Wednesday night. We ordered some appetizers, drinks and each our own meal. The appetizers were decent, but when it came time for dinner, each person's meal was brought out at different times. One person in our party had to wait nearly 20 additional minutes for her chicken after the rest of us had already been served. Their excuse was that the bird was larger than normal... A few of us ordered the steak, which was black and crunchy. The only flavor I could taste was char. It also would be nice if they told you the meal isn't enough food for one person. To make up for their mistakes, they gave us free dessert, which tasted like it had been frozen and reheated... we didn't finish it. After dinner the waiter couldn't keep track of the three checks and brought a pen so we could straighten out who ordered what ourselves. This entire catastrophe took nearly 3 hours. During the entire visit the waiter avoided us as much as possible, opposed to being polite and telling us why we had to wait so long. We won't be dining there ever again.

I had to chuckle at the review stating the chicken took longer because it was a big chicken. Ha! I must have gotten that chicken's wings! When they arrived as a small plate, I was totally disgusted. They looked like turkey wings and tasted horrible. I don't think anyone expects or wants gigantic chicken wings. .. especially when they taste so nasty. Had the asparagus.... fair. Maybe it's because I'm a good cook, I have high expectations. ... ones that Wandering Table did not meet! I'm not going back.

It's very good, but not great. Tonight we had good service and good food, but nothing orgasmic. I mean, it's a deviled egg. How good can that be? Certainly not what some of the fanboys have been claiming. We do like the small plate concept and will probably give it a another try after restaurant week is over and maybe the quality will be what some have been claiming.

Went for lunch. Party of three. My first time. Comfortable ambiance. Simple, yet interesting menu. I opted for the lunch combination where you get appetizer-sized servings from three menu categories. Enough to fill you up. It's a good way to get an introduction to the unique dishes Chef Adam has put together. Don't look for heaping plates here. But you will certainly find a fine and unique experience for your palate. I would qualify the prices in the upper side of moderate cost category. Good place for a random get together if you are near the downtown Spokane area.

This is my new favorite spot. Great service and AMAZING food. The dorky fries are to die for. We ordered the $35/plate chefs choice and it was one of the best meals of my entire life. Lots of locally grown product featured on the menu too!

Our first time here. Two of us with reservations thank goodness. Although in the end I am not sure it mattered. We waited at least 10 minutes to be acknowledged and get water . Another 15 minutes before we got a drink. We were there almost 3 hours total. I don't mind spending 3 hours on a meal if it is well paced, and the atmosphere conducive to a meal that long. We would probably give them 4 or even 4.5 stars if the service was better. Service gets a 1 star review. Maybe even .5. It was awful. Food however, was really good. REALLY good. We ordered the "chefs special" where we chose a price and chef sends out dishes at his whim. We asked that no duck be served but our 4th dish was duck. We were desperate for food due to slow service so we ate the duck. We were given 3 dishes all once, none of them warm enough, then we waited. And waited. And waited. The pacing was terrible. The waiter disappeared. We can't quite figure out if he was incompetent, embarrassed or had to sit down for a meal himself but he wasn't anywhere near the restaurant. I would have gladly had more wine. Or tequila or anything to fill up my empty stomach while I waited for more food. The waiter didn't stop by to ask. He didn't really acknowledge us much at all and people came and went while we waited there did seem to be the occasional battle at the kitchen window. We had nothing to do but try to fill time by watching whatever was going on there. Again, food was really pretty good. I am just not sure what the problem is there. Was it the waiter? Was it the concept? Was it the kitchen? In either case it will be a while before we got back for more torture.

Service was okay. The dorky fries and crab were amazing, the eggplant was gross, but the stuffed meatballs were good. The bartender was extremely knowledgeable and was able to tell a lot about the drinks that we ordered. Next time I might just stick to the apps and drinks.

Amazing food! I wish we could go once a week :) We opted for the you choose your price with our group. They brought out many dishes that were selected by the chef and we thoroughly enjoyed them all. Excellent vegetable dishes which is not easy to find at most eateries. We will be back.

What a pleasant surprise! The food here wowed me, and I work in the menu development industry! The calamari, the carrot salad, the wings and apple donuts are what we had. When licking the plate becomes acceptable, we're first in line. Honestly, the combination of flavors, portion sizes, mixed with wine list, service and ambiance, they've hit the sweet spot. Congratulations. We'll be back for sure. We've told at least a dozen people since just four days ago how good it was!

We chose to pay $40 each and go with the chef selections. I definitely recommend this. It was very fun to get surprise dishes coming to the table. The food was definitely above average, and the service was great. Drinks were fabulous. The décor and location are great. The host was a bit full of himself, for no apparent reason, but the main negative to this restaurant was the noise. It was so loud inside we had to shout to speak to each other. If it hadn't been a hundred degrees out, we would have sat outside. My ears literally rang after we left. I notice other people commented on this previously, too, and we thought by now the management would have addressed it, but it was pretty bad. A lot of people walked in, commented on the noise, and walked back out, while others braved the heat, and went outside instead. If you can, sit outside. Definitely not a romantic night out, if you are inside. One other note, some people were very dressed up, while others were super casual ... the man sitting next to us was barefoot, which wasn't too pleasant, as he had his dirty feet right near us.

This place is great small bites, slow eating, great flavors. I love that it is local ingredients. Everything is fresh and really focused on whatever the item is MEANT to taste like. Not overwhelming to the pallet. Eggs- great starter. Beet salad- favorite by far Potato skins- need salt. Great cheese Oyster- beautiful presentation Clams- amazing. Better than the oyster. LOTS of flavor Roasted chicken- moist. Crispy. Need I say more? Burgers- cheese on top: weird. Lots of smokey flavors. Meet was drip juices down your face medium perfecto. Yum. Moscow mule was..... A perfect addition to my meal. Waiting on Apple pie now.... GO HERE! Slow your life down, enjoy your meal.

Well done hanger steak? Who cooks steak well? Gnocchi were good and flavor was excellent. Oysters were questionable, but albacore tuna was great. Sweet breads are a must have. Service on the other hand was atrocious! How ever is running front of house needs to open there eyes. People standing at the door, unknowledgeable servers, hostess slamming water glasses down with an exceptionally smug look( no smile) and not even a busy night! I well, I've come to expect this from Spokane restaurants.

Food is delicious however portions are very small. For the most bang for your buck, go during happy hour or order the nw clam bake and flatbread. I got the steak and potatoes and that portion was very tiny (appetizer sized).

Again another delightful dinner...a long luxurious 2 hours of delicious bites and time to enjoy good company over shared plates. Those deviled eggs get me every time deceptively simple and so tasty. The quality and the value was over the top. The service was once again friendly and efficient. Bravo!

I was really excited to try this place. And then I was really disappointed in my entire experience. We walked in and we were seated right away. Our waiter came over to our table and explained the menu and then shortly after he brought us some water. We looked over the menu and made a decision as to what we were going to order. But, our server never came back. It was not a busy night, the restaurant was maybe half full. Other servers were standing around and we even made eye contact with a few of them. Our server seemed to be focused on two tables with an older crowd. He walked by our table probably about 4 or 5 times and didn't seem to want to even acknowledge us. We waited about 25 minutes before we decided to walk out and go somewhere where we would be seated and served our food in the same amount of time.

We were really looking forward to this new restaurant and did make reservations. We were seated immediately and water brought to the table. After a short wait, our waiter came over and introduced himself. He explained the tapas idea - or at least we thought he did. We couldn't hear or understand a word he was saying. It is VERY loud here and you have to shout to be heard. We ordered drinks. A beer and a hot B52. It took 15 minutes for our drinks to arrive and my hot drink was lukewarm. We had been watching people eat the tapas and noticed that they were indeed bites of things. Literally. Very little food. And it was taking along time for people to get their next set. Several people had been eating when we arrived and were still eating when we left. So tapas takes several hours. We ordered the Moroccan chicken and the Chimicurri Steak. As we waited a LONG time for our meal, we watched wait staff wandering around the room, checking plates at the pass, pushing the plates around and walking away. Some of those plates sat at the pass for 30 minutes. We had finished one round of drinks and still hadn't gotten our entres, The appetitzer was good - the cauliflower but it was not even luke warm. We ordered another round. And again after about 15 minutes, the drinks came. And again the Hot drink was lukewarm. FINALLY, the waiter brought the steak. He said that he felt he should bring it to the table because the chicken wasn't ready yet - It takes longer. So I proceeded to eat my steak - it was cold. and I am not sure why it is called Chimicurri because there was barely a trace of sauce on the plate. I had almost finished eating, when my husband got his chicken. The flavor was good - I would have used a bit more spice. Sadly, his chicken was also lukewarm.. We decided to split the chocolate cheesecake. My only complaint about it was that it didn't have any taste of cream cheese. The chocolate overwhelmed that flavor. We did have 4 drinks, an appetizer, two entrees and a dessert at a very reasonable price. But the service is lacking and the food should be hot when it arrives at a table. And it would be nice if we could have eaten our entrees at the same time.

I was told about here by a friend. I should listen to her more. What an incredible dining experience. Great design of the dining area, a cozy, yet fully stocked bar, attentive staff and incredible food. I highly recommend everyone in the Spokane area go dine here and as often as you can.

This place has a nice outdoor seating area with overhead heaters, string lights above and a large rock fire display that adds to the ambiance. It is an excellent choice for small plates/tapas. Their deviled eggs with maple bacon in them, spaghetti stuffed meatballs and dried/cured salami are all delicious.

I'm going to say right now that I'm in LOVE... if you're looking for anything but glowing reviews look elsewhere. The food, the drinks, the service.. it's all beyond compare. Total Nirvana. Wish I could remember how many plates were offered on the $50 chefs choice.. each was more exciting and perfectly prepared than the last. Seriously folks.. if we lived in Spokane we would become regulars at the Wandering Table. Instead, we will make the 4 hour trek and have it be the reason for our heading East. INCREDIBLE!!!!

Great food and service. Stopped here on our way through town and tried the name your price menu. Consistently good dishes. Cold smoked tofu and uni bruschetta were memorable. Highly recommend.

This new Kendall Yards restaurant specializes in small plates tapas style. We've eaten here twice & ordered 14 menu items. Most were extremely good, with the shortbreads being to die for, and the asparagus spears also being an excellent dish. A couple quibbles, one about decor and the other about service. They should ditch the high tables in the restaurant & go with normal size tables there. If they think they need high tables & seating, put it in the bar. We tried to get a regular height table in the restaurant area, and they were all full; all the tall tables & seating were empty. That should tell you something. Re the service, I selected the wine. (I'm female.) When the server brought it, she poured it for my husband to taste. Rather than make gender stereotypes, servers should be trained to ask, "who's going taste the wine?"

Went here a couple of nights ago and sat outside. I was seated promptly and the waiter bought out the menu. I chose the ' name your price' as I have been to some of Adam's previous Wandering Table events. I did ask for the Uni Brushetta to be included and it was wonderful. I was served the Potato skins, Serrano pepper chips with honey cream cheese, spaghetti stuffed meatballs and for dessert Olive oil gelato. The potato skins were just average, but the rest was amazing. Maybe a little heavy on the carbs and would have liked a cold bar/salad instead of the potato; but I love the idea of having the chef surprise you. Will definetly be going back

If you are tremendously hungry then this will not be the place for you but the Wandering Table is AWESOME! Of course I should point out that I am 6'8" and can have a huge appetite sometimes. The flavors are incredible along with the variety. I have eaten things here I would never have thought of trying. If you want dinner good idea to make reservations because the place gets hopping. We did the chefs choice where you tell them how much you want to pay per person and they just bring the table dishes. So unique for Spokane.

Welcome addition to Spokane. A chef with passion and ideas. Small dishes that allow you to try many different options. The flat bread with fir tips was interesting and delicious. Sure, some you will like better than others but a wonderful dining experience at reasonable prices. Only thing they need are some acoustic panels as the concrete floor makes for a sometimes uncomfortably loud atmosphere.

I went here for the first time last night. We didn't have reservation but was able to sit after waiting for about 5 minutes. Once we got to our table we wanted good 10 minutes before I had to ask one of the employee who was going to help our table. Finally after I said that a waitress came over to greet us and brought us cups of water. Since we were ready to order we first put our drinks order. The bartender was backed up so it took another 15 minutes for our drinks to come out. When we finally got our drinks the waitress decided to take our orders. The food, bleh, nothing too fancy, salty. I give only two stars because for the price you pay, I did not get a good service. Why should I wait 15 minutes to be greeted by someone? They need more waiter/waitress able.

Another place with some growing pains. Service was mediocre for fine dining. Went with the name your price at $30/pp, and got tons of food, 12 plates shared among three of us. Some hit or miss, lots of seafood, and generally well done. Totally fun and tasty, just need to work out some kinks.

Yes, yes! A thousand times yes. Cocktails (especially whiskey) and small plates...get to know the staff and you'll go from perfect to perfect-plus. This place is amazing, and that's coming from a couple of food-and-drink snobs. Local, creative, fun. So much love!

Service: A+ (Ryan rocked) Food: A Environment: B (a bit loud) Drinks: hells yes please Spokane is hit and miss when it comes to anything other than burgers and such, and mostly a big "Miss" when it comes to service. Walked in and were greeted right away and taken to our seats. We opted for the "you choose the price" and was pleasantly surprised, not a bad dish made it to the table. Ryan didn't miss a beat on the service, very refreshing! Do yourself a favor and try the Duck Pastrami....wholllllly crap was that good!!!!!!!!!! The only real down-side was that we spent a bit of time tasting the food and having a great conversation, the tall tables have wooden seats that aren't made for long sessions. Will I come back? yes, and there are only a few places I can say that about in town. Would be a great after work or after show hang out spot.

Came in today with my brother and we had a couple of drinks and some eats - all of it excellent. Spaghetti stuffed meatballs and smoked mussels potato salad were incredible. Iron Goat Trashy Blonde Pilsner was tasty. Great venue for tapas-style plates, as you can mix and match well-made small dishes. Kudos to the chef for originality and completely savory ingenuity. We will be back for sure.

Wow. After reading all the amazing reviews I really thought I was in for a treat. My friends and I went to the Wandering Table last night. It was packed to the brim with people. When we first entered a rude blond waitress told us the wait was 45 min. A few minutes later a cute brunette with glasses helped us and had us seated in ten. We decsided to try the Chefs Choice. You pay whatever you want from $15-$65 per person at your table, and then the chef makes you whatever he/she wants for your table. It seemed like a gamble, but a good way to get neet food that we didn't see on the menu. That didn't happen. We basically got all of the appetizers on the menu. The food was gross. I mean really, really gross. It actually made me sick, and throwing up kale, goat and pickled rhubarb...turns out is a whole new form of punishment. I don't know what everyone else is raving about. The only reason I'm even giving this shipwreck of a Restaraunt two stars is because of our waitress. Her and our buser were great. Friendly, checked up on us often, and my water glass was always full. But seriously Wandering Table; Boo. Boo on you.

Food was interesting and good. I'd suggest they take the chicken fried pork neck off the menu, but everything else we had was good. Definitely a snack time/sharing with friends spot, which is fun!

I'm always excited to try new restaurants in Spokane and was intrigued by the menu at the Wandering Table. Our server was outstanding, both attentive and friendly. I went with one other guest and we decided to share a few items. The chicken fried garbanzo beans were so good! Just a hint of heat at the end, crisp and addicting. Our second course was the Alaskan Scallop Taridito, and was a slight let down. The scallops were not sliced consistently, so some were huge and others were slivers. They were also served with a lot of jalapeños (which was not mentioned on the menu), and with the spicy sauce and the chilis, that was overkill. I don't mind spicy, but I would rather the scallops be the star of the dish and not be overpowered by several other fairly strong flavors. We finished with the spaghetti stuffed meatballs and the fire grilled clams. The meatballs were cooked perfectly, the sauce was delicious and we really enjoyed them. The clams, however, won us both over for good! The idea of a broth with orange and onion seemed strange, but I now have a new favorite flavor combo! We asked our server for bread to sop it up, and he brought it right over. We will definitely be back!

What a great addition to Spokane! The space is open, bright and airy, and the food is creative and interesting. I've been there 3-4 times and I would say that everything we've tried has been pretty outstanding. Oh wait, the carrot "cake" was a miss, but now we know to avoid that one. Perfect place for a romantic dinner of two, or for a night out with friends. Probably not the best place to take children as the menu doesn't lend itself to kiddos and, well, it's a nice spot to go that ISN'T full of kids.

This rating is purely based on service, not on food because when it took at least 30 minutes after sitting down for the server to ask if we wanted food, we did not want anything more to do with this place. We were seated in the bar area, the bartender was also our server and he did seem busy. Here's the thing, if you want your new restaurant to have good reviews do a couple common sense things to keep your customers happy....1) if you explain that you are busy then I will have more patience, 2) if you had a bar back that person could have at least given us water and taken our order, 3) if you want to work in a restaurant and make decent money... put a smile on your face and at least pretend to care how we are doing, and last 4) if you want your business to succeed fire your bartender. He is not made for customer service. It takes alot to upset me when it comes to service, as I worked in the industry and my friend with me still does. We both left there deciding we were going to make it a point to let our circle of friends know how horrible it was....and that wasn't hard because when we left we went to another restaurant and told their staff about our experience and we didn't even have to finish our sentence before they were talking about their horrible experience as well with the same person. P.S. hostess was nice and felt bad for us, so we will give her a 1 star

The food was good, the mint Julip wasn't. Stock worth the house red, quite nice. The seared tuna was not good at all, dropped a star for it.

Best dining experience in Spokane! Four of us went for a birthday dinner and ordered a Chefs Choice tasting menu for $40 each. They brought us everything from jellyfish to alligator to uni to turkey tail. Everything tasted amazing! We tried 18 plates! I couldn't believe the value and the service was great too! Highly, highly recommended.

This place is relatively new, they recently opened in April 2014. Not that many people know about this place....YET...so get there soon before they really get busy. Where do I start....If this restaurant was in the Seattle area, they could easily charge waaaaayyyy more than what they currently charge for their chefs tasting menu. With that said, a friend and I ate here on a Friday night. I wanted to order everthing from the menu. We both decided on the chefs tasting menu (tapas plates or mini plates that are concentrated bites) We asked our server for the $50 range. He brought out about 4-5 appitizers, 6-8 entrees, and 4 desserts. I can remember eating things that were on the menu and some things that were NOT on the regular menu from the kitchen. About 2/3 of the way through the tasting menu, we were getting pretty full, its seriously a lot of good small bites. We had things like bacon-wrapped bacon, jellyfish, nettle flat bread, Gen Tso's sweetbreads, just to name a few. Chef Adam and his kitchen is doing an amazing job. I will have to take more people here next time in town. Definately a place to-go-to in Spokane. A must place to eat, if you're visiting.

Horrible service, meal took forever to come out on a Thursday late afternoon with very few people there. Meal portions are comically small. Food came out cold just an overall bad experience. Will never return

Horrible service and they weren't even busy on a Saturday night! Food and drink were good but not worth going back after waiting an 1 hour to order.

We visited for a special birthday dinner for my wife; our first time here. The space was very attractive, trendy but not pretentious, perhaps a touch noisy but not overpowering. We opted for the "name your price" adventure at $30/person, with the caveat that one of our party could not have eggs or cow's milk. We were assured this was not a problem. Our server was friendly and helpful; we never felt either ignored or pushed. And the food, OMG is all I can say. The delicious dishes kept coming until we finally hit the wall and had to cry "uncle". I'm sure I am forgetting something, but there were mussels, clams, potato skins, smoked tofu, chicken wings, beef sliders, wild boar salami that was smoked on the spot, steak tips with potato gnocchi (with an unexpected note of nutmeg), bacon-wrapped pork belly (sounds too fatty but it was my favorite thing all evening), and a marvelous beet/apple salad that appeared late in the round as a perfect palate cleanser. The portions weren't huge but with this many options they didn't need to be any bigger. Switching to sweet there was a warm cookie and an apple turnover, both with ice cream, and olive oil gelato. I thought for sure we had exceeded our named price after all this, but no, when the bill came it was exactly what we had agreed on. And, here is the kicker: when the dishes contained egg or cow's milk, the chef came up with an alternate version that was served with the rest of the course, culminating in a spectacular fruit/goat cheese/almond/honeycomb dessert plate that might have been the best thing on the table. Now that is going the extra mile. We can't afford to eat like this very often, but for special occasions we now have a new place that gives Wild Sage a serious run for its money. Bravo! Six stars.
