We went here about a week ago and WOW!! The food was amazing! I thought I already had a favorite pizza place but it has now been replaced by South Perry Pizza... WOW!!! We sat on the patio which was perfect with nice icy cold beers... Off to an awesome start! We ordered the specials, a peach and prosciutto pizza with mascarpone cheese... OMG!!! This was so delicious!!! We also ordered The Husker which had cherry tomatoes, sweet corn and goat cheese - also DELICIOUS!!!! Everything was cooked perfectly with the right amount of toppings. The service was also terrific - we really couldn't have asked for a better experience! Just terrific:-)

This particular eating establishment is in the small, interesting artist-driven community on South Perry St. on the South Hill of Spokane, WA. It has some of the most delicious pizza that we've ever eaten; but, it also has some of THE WORST customer service that my husband and I have ever experienced. Apparently, there is a "rule" that you can either order "to go' and pick up a pizza to carry out, or you can come to the establishment and sit down and order on a "first come, first serve" basis. As we promptly learned, they do not appreciate having someone call in an order beforehand and then "deciding to sit down in the restaurant" to ingest it. I understand that some places have their own little "quirky, nonsensical rules," however, speaking to any customer in a rude, condescending, contemptuous tone is never a good idea as many people think exactly as we do considering "customer service" the most important aspect of any business...especially restaurants where customer service is everything. Now, this rudeness could be forgiven and even overlooked if it was just one employee and it only occurred once or twice. Unfortunately, this deplorable behavior came from the manager of the establishment, and the sad part is that there are a couple other staff members with the very same dismissive, arrogant attitude. Our main purpose for eating out at a dining establishment is not only for the delight of consuming well-prepared foods, it's also about being appreciated and treated with respect by the wait staff especially considering that we always tip quite generously. When that respect is missing, and there is a pattern of repeated offensive behavior such as this, we refuse to reward rude, disrespectful behavior with our continued repeat business. Such is the case here at South Perry Pizza parlor. A true loss indeed as the food was usually quite delicious. Nevertheless, we stand firm in our conviction on how to treat people and will continue to abide by those high ideals. We strongly recommend avoiding this eatery because this totally unacceptable bad customer service is simply not worth giving them your valuable patronage. tripadvisor.com/ShowUser…

During the warmer months they open up the side door and restaurant blends in and you can sit inside or outside. The pizza is ok and they have a variety of different choices. Nice rotating beer and specials for wine. Service was pretty good. Average prices.

SO. Came in on a Friday night at 7:30pm seated at 8:00. Had a party of 10 guys including myself. The waitress & buser at our table where incredible. Very helpful. You can imagine splitting receipts would have been a nightmare but the waitress did it, she split ALL of us incredibly well. Great service. And the pizza? As a first timer, incredible! I split a house pizza with another guy and started with a green salad on my own with dill vinaigrette. Grand total of 14.00 plus tip. Really good experience.

YUM! This is strictly for the pizza. We ordered the Prosciutto and the Sopressata Salami. I absolutely adored and loved the Prosciutto, by far better than the Sopressata. That is not to say the Sopressata was bad it was good, but it was no comparison to the Prosciutto. We ordered two because the girl on the phone said that the pizza's were enough to feed one hungry person, but in reality we could have just ordered one and it would have been plenty for both of us. The crust has that nice crisp but just right amount of chew to it, perfectly cooked. The mascarpone cheese...oh my! It's wonderful...all I can say. Try it!!!

almost 5 stars, only down side is it gets a bit loud, really need to install something to absorb the noise, pizza is fantastic, the wild mushroom pizza is literally the best pizza in town, I could eat this stuff til I hit rock bottom, props to Perry street pizza for the shakedown concert deal this last weeked, I last saw sir mixalot here in the early 90s when I was a kid and now perry street pizza gets him in town a for a free concert, I feel like I owe you guys money

I went here for the first time today and loved it. We split the Blackberry Watermelon Salad to start and it was good. And then the Prosciutto Pizza which was soooo good! And our server Nick was fantastic too. Told him what kind of beer we liked and he suggested perfect drafts for us. I will definitely be back!

Amazing! Creative artisan-type recipes every time. Even the gluten free pizzas have great flavor and texture. And they're always willing to help sub out gluten ingredients for safer ingredients to keep a specialty pizza especially delicious.

Such.good.pizza . Love the patio, love the menu. Our favorite is the prosciutto but you can't go wrong with their pies. Great staff - friendly, attentive. A great spot in the Perry neighborhood!

Good atmosphere, staff quick and friendly. Menu will satisfy all patrons. We steak and bleu cheese pizza, very good. Beer selection is average, but I can't complain.

Swore we wouldn't be back after our last trip here but friends invited us to meet them and only confirmed my last opinion. Burned crust bottom, bitter and overly seasoned sauce, the recently changed dough recipe (or simply purchased dough pre-balled and weighed more likely) tasteless. The place was full, so unlikely that management will strive for improvement. A sad story of success gone south.

Was at the tap house a few doors down, and they recommended we order some pizza to bring down, they don't really serve food. So we did and it was really good. I'm a big fan of a. Crisp crust and they did a great job with that, as well as flavor profiles. Will get some more grub from here for sure. Quality ingredients and good turn around time from order.

These people are slooooooooooow the place is basically empty and we have waited for easily a 1/2 an hour for our pizza. None of the help seem overly ambitious and tend to visit with each other more than tend to customers. The people that arrived 10 minutes after we did had received there pizza before we did when I inquired about our pizza the waitress says the pizza maker was the only person making pizza when I mentioned the table that came in after we did received there pizza before we did she says ARE U IN a HURRAY .......really?????? Sad thing is the pizza is delicious but I will not return there

Best pizza in town. The wild mushroom is our all time favorite!! Plus the staff is so friendly and amazing! Nice little locally owned spot.

Nothing beats fresh ingredients, micro brews, and lunch specials! Minus one star is because service is lacking on most days. On the last visit I constantly had to request refills for water and even had to approach the counter to order! I would have given 3 stars because service is what makes a business great, but the food is. Just. That. Good! Lunch pies are $7 until 4 pm (if I remember correctly). Tried them all and they all are good so I can't critique just one! Improve the service aspect and I'd love to give another star....

Really like South Perry Pizza! The atmosphere is fun but a little bit noisy. Excellent selection of beers and wine! Their pizza is quite good and they get pretty creative with the specials of the week. Peach and Prosciutto is amazing! Also be sure to get the Cheese Flatbread with Roasted Garlic. You won't be sorry!

We went here for the first time the other night and I was pleasantly surprised. Their pizza sections are very fresh and yummy. I was a little disappointed that they only had two vegetarian pizzas but of course they were more than happy to take meat off certain pizzas for us, it's just nicer when there are more options to begin with. But the pizzas were nonetheless delicious.

Next to Flying Goat...this is the best pizza in Spokane. ..period. simple yet "mod" atmosphere this has all the best makings of a great pizza joint. Good for Groups or a date night...aweso.e food. We had the duck confit pizza and the prosciutto pizzas...f'ing awesome... a must!

  • Michael W.

Good prices, good food and if you eat gluten free this is the pizza place to do it. GF pizzas are delicious and there is no extra charge for a GF crust here. Compare that to Twigs which charges an extra $3 to pizzas that are already more expensive than SPP without being superior in quality.

  • Skylar G.

Pizza was fantastic, service was attentive without being disruptive and the beers were delicious.

This place has kind of strange hours for a pizza joint; they were just about to close when we rolled up at almost 9pm on a Saturday. They were gracious enough to serve us anyway, as long as we ordered within ten minutes, which we really appreciated. Still, it's a little odd to close so early when you serve pizza & beer - right? On the plus side, there was no wait whatsoever. The pizzas are fairly small and thin-crusted. You could eat one on your own if you were hungry enough, much like fancy Italian-style pizza but somehow a little more Americanized. I ordered a margherita pizza and really enjoyed it. Everyone else seemed to enjoy theirs as well; the boys both finished their entire pies. I didn't have any issues with splitting the check or serving large groups, because we were a group of four and didn't try to split the check. I imagine I'd find those things frustrating, but that just wasn't my experience this time. I would definitely come back!

  • Marci B.

I love this place. Good service, yummy gourmet pizzas, fresh salads and the best wheat-free crusts I've tasted since I was in a small resto in Petaluma, CA. I hear they've got bottle of wine half off on Tuesdays, which sounds like a definite bonus. Eat, drink, be merry at South Perry Pizza!

Good pizza like kens in PDX ... Finally... Can bring my overly urbane friends from out of town and not need to explain spokane food options. Good beer selection. Owners support the local schools and hood. Yay. Thanks!

Delicious! The food is great!! The staff are so friendly. The tables, glasses, forks, knives and also the toilet are clean. The toilet does not have paper cover for toilet seat.

  • Sierra P.

South Perry Pizza is my all time favorite pizza spot in Spokane. Service is always fast and friendly, even when the place is packed (as it often is) and the food is to die for. As other reviewers have mentioned, the GF pizza is absolutely delicious. I am NOT GF but I've gone in and ordered the gluten free crust just because it's so great. Specialty pizzas are always creative and tasty, and I regularly bring family and friends here. My only complaint: the building is a retrofitted automotive garage and gets quite noisy even when it isn't full.. But who cares!

  • Wendy M.

The gluten free pizza was excellent! We ordered ours vegan and I just wished that the greens had been slightly wilted. Great flavor and great service!

Stopped in here after we found out the wait at Casper Fry was going to be 1.5 hours. WTF! They told us it would be 1/2 hour wait at least but we grabbed a drink, and got seats at the bar in just a few minutes. The pizzas didn't blow my mind but was definitely well above average, and the beer/wine selection was excellent. We got the "house" pizza and I highly recommend it. We topped it off with the fresh baked brownie smothered in ice cream. It was like an ORGASM IN MY MOUTH! WOW! - Bottom line: a little expensive, but a great little pizza joint. Check it out!

Had a great time here with the family. Pizza was delicious!

  • Mary H.

South Perry Pizza has the best pizza in Spokane! Much much better than Flying Goat, imo, plus there's never a long wait for a table. Atmosphere is fun and vibrant, especially when they have the garage door open. Wine selection is pretty good, and their prices are great. I can't compliment this place enough! Uh oh, now I'm getting hungry!

We had the wild mushroom pizza. Great Alfredo sauce, great crust, freshest mozzarella and the mushrooms were delicious. This is the best pizza place we have found in Spokane.

Love the pizza! It's not quite thin crust, but still tasty. Toppings are great. Good service. Good local beer selection. Great neighborhood. Fun place!

If this place weren't so pretentious I'd have given them more stars. I have never heard of a restaurant in Spokane that won't serve groups of over 12 (according to a waitress--10 if you go by what's on their website), as long as you give them advance notice. And I've certainly never heard of any local restaurant that won't split up a check. Newsflash: you aren't in San Francisco; that kind of attitude is unusual here, to the point of being off-putting. The first couple of times I went, when they were new, the menu was exciting. But save for a few rotating specials, nothing has changed since they opened. The pizza is good, but it isn't mind-blowing. Last night, after being told on the phone that they wouldn't take a group of over 12, and to bring cash because they "can't" (more like won't) split checks, our waiter actually offered to split the check up for our group. The caveat was, it would take him 15 minutes to split the check 6 ways. 15 minutes to print 6 receipts on a point-of-sale system?! We'd come prepared, so we just pooled our cash. I was excited about SPP in the beginning; my husband and I even went on our first date here years ago. Between their stagnant menu and the condescending way they treat customers like they should feel lucky to eat there, I'd rather go almost anywhere else. If you want good pizza on S Perry, go to the Thursday farmer's market and hit up Veraci's truck.

This place has a great atmosphere and awesome pizza! You can't go wrong visiting any place on Perry street. It's like a little slice of small town. The people here are friendly, the service is good...you won't be disappointed.

Hands down the best pizza joint in town. The crust is thin, and the toppings are flavorful and fresh (ie: Kale, goat cheese, pine nuts, arugula etc....). The salad on the fresh sheet is always unique and seasonal - a great way to try new vegetable combinations. Plan on waiting for 15-20 minutes for a table. It does have a loud atmosphere (which I love), but it's not for everyone. Local beers and wines, the gem of the up-and-coming Perry District!

I went with a party of 4 on a quiet Sunday night and it was perfect. Food came out quick and was very tasty! I have not had a bad experience there- so maybe just keep your party size down! I had the Blue Salad and it was sooo good! Definitely one of the best I have had! My friend and I each had a salad and then split a pizza so the sizes of everything are perfect for that. Even took some home! I think I will be back with my family because the beer selection looked great and the pizza was perfect for a little tasty dinner. Overall- heed the warnings. Don't bring big parties. But if you want a little place for 2 or 4, this seems to be the place.

    (4)
  • Merisah H.

The pizza here is tasty. Great toppings and thin crusts. Wait is 15-20 min. We always get pizza to-go or sit at the bar because it can get quite packed.

    (5)
  • Sarah N.

Every pizza I've had here has been unique and delicious. Two of my favorites: butternut squash (seasonal) and prosciutto. Hard to go wrong with wood fired pizza and a good beer selection.

    (5)
  • Liz B.

Bad for big groups! The food is great and service is fine but they won't split checks for groups larger than four people as their policy. This was very inconvenient for our party and I doubt I'll be back.

  • Robert B.

It was a great pizza. Loved the sauce. You can taste the tomatoes. I'd come back for sure. It was my wife and two daughters. The bill came to $51 plus tip. We had two pizzas two sides. The two pizzas were the sausage and spinach and a vegetarian we had a couple toppings to the vegetarian. The two side dishes were a chef salad and the hummus. It was a little loud. There are several pizzas I would want to try. The mushroom for sure. We are visiting from the Everett area for a tournament. We return every year and I'm going to try to make it back.

    (4)
  • Katie B.

the thai or house pizza? amazing!

    (5)
  • Don K.

There are pizza places with good pizzas and pizza places that have atmosphere. Few have both. South Perry's has both. We had a meatless spinach pizza which I never thought that I would order let alone like. Good pizza, great beer selection. What else can I say.

  • Susan S.

We were very disappointed overall! Ate there on a Sunday late afternoon. The floors were filthy- beer and crusted napkins imbedded in floor. We ordered the Caesar salad- salad from a bag- at best- with croutons that tasted old and were the size of a pea- would have expected a more rustic large more flavorful crouton. Though the dressing was ok. Hummus plate- veggies very fresh tasting- everything else- ho hum. The pizzas- short rib pizza- meat was definitely old tasting and the whole pizza overall just not good! The mushroom/ potato/ bechemal was fair at best. And the prosciutto pizza- really?!? The prosciutto was also definitely old and overcooked and throwing on a bunch of arugula and tomatoes - really?!? Total bill for 3 was 84$- no booze- felt totally ripped off! Will not return. Visited this establishment when it first opened- way too noisy, cold and the food was better then. Gave it another chance- no more

This is your neighborhood "adult" pizza parlor that focuses on good pies (pizzas for those of you from the west coast), nice salads, good drinks and engaging times with the people that you come with. * If you can't enjoy your pizza without being glued to a TV, than this place might not be for you. * If the idea of parking your car on a street rather than a designated parking lot (they have a small one) stresses you out, than this place might not be for you. * If your idea of gourmet pizza is adding extra cheese to your domino's pepperoni pizza, than this place might not be for you. * If the idea of 'seating yourself' without the help of a hostess guiding you step by step to a table is confusing, than this place might not be for you * If you are looking for video games or a ball pit and think that's what pizza places are all about, than this place might not be for you. * If your idea of pizza is a thick crust, lots of red sauce and globs of cheese, than this place might not be for you. * If you're not used to eating in full service restaurants who rarely, if ever, will split a party of 12's check, than this place might not be for you. Biggest negative I've had here - NO fresh brewed Ice Tea, that sucks SPP. Bottom Line: Pizza are always good - are they greatest in the world, nope, in Spokane, nope, but they are easily in the top 5 pizza places in Spokane. The beer and wine selection looks good the salads are delicious and very reasonable in price. Overall I wouldn't pass up a trip here. . Just remember if you are looking for some super cheesy, saucy bready style pizza with some hot-wings or fried cheese sticks try one of the delivery chains because this place will not make you happy.

Great food. Fun seasonal menu options. Local brews on tap. Matt is a great server. There is a lot of character in south perry pizza! Check it out, it is worth the price, experience and trip.

Oh I wish we had a cool place like this in Redwood City! The staff is friendly, the owner is on site and running just as hard as everyone else, and the pizza is delicious. Great toppings and amazing crust which can be washed down with a tasty local beer or reasonably priced regional wine. Took my coworker there the next day and he loved it too!

I've heard great things about this place, decided to go there tonight. Why not have pizza on a warm summer July night on their outdoor patio dining right? "Kitchen is closed" is why not. 9:02pm and we were turned away, along with 2 other couples in 3 minutes we were there. REALLY? You're an outdoor pizza and beer place in the hot and hapening South Perry District and you stop serving at 9??? Went to Bendinitos, it was packed still when we left at 10:45. Guess people do eat pizza after 9pm on a July summer night. Who would have thought?

    (1)
  • Lawrence M.

I used to love this place. Their pizza was on a par with the Flying Goat. No more. Today it was doughy and dry, thick crust and pretty much flavorless. I have no idea what happened, but it's not at all what they used to make. I'm broken-hearted. It's also about the noisiest place I've ever been in.

    (2)
  • Janine F.

Pizza disappointing and service was friendly but a little distracted . Greeted by manager or owner who didn't get up off her seat and told us to seat ourselves. We were super excited for dessert but were given the check and not even offered. When we left disappointed no one read our mood and again lady at bar barely looked at us and just said bye... You would think you'd check in with leaving guests "did you enjoy your meal?" "Come back again"...So sad really wanted to fall in love with the place as a regular! Decor was bland loved that you can open the garage doors

    (1)
  • Corey W.

My wife says it's hands down the best pizza she's ever had. I enjoyed our sausage pizza and loved the caramelized onions. Definately worth a return trip if ever in the neighborhood again.

  • H S.

The good: Solid artisan thin crust pizzas, awesome cheese bread, (possibly better than the pizza), simple but tasty salads, good values (except for the tiny salads). Bad: if you're not in the mood for pizza, you best go elsewhere, because the simple appetizers are all made with pizza crust, there are no entree salads, sandwiches, or pasta, which you might find in a similar joint. Nothing is going to blow your mind either, even the specials tend to repeat. But once you find your pizza, you'll order it every time and it will always be delicious.

I'd give 5 stars for the pizza if I could ignore the parking mess, the confusing "how do I do this" layout.... they need a little hostess who greats people so you don't just stand there and look confused in a large crowd. Going out for dinner shouldn't be this frustrating or confusing just trying to get to the food part. Fabulous food, fun environment once your sitting... but sadly, I don't think we'll be going here again - trying to find parking, trying to get a seat - not worth it. I don't want to eat at 4:30 just to avoid the mess. The "operations" part of the business are the drawback - they haven't figured out how to efficiently handle their volume of diners. We did try take out - order ahead then carry it home - but for obvious parking issues, we only did this once - if you can't park, its a bad idea - no way to "run in and out" quickly. Perhaps another strategy is to go with a "runner" while the driver circles the block. Or, they could start delivering to homes - or even, a curb side run out - they bring it to you at the curb. We love their pizza - its great - but not looking for more stress just to eat. Plenty of other great food locations to choose from without the chaos.

It lived up to the hype, it is the best pizza in Spokane. We have been several times and each time have been very happy, unlike with some other local favorites.

Finally made it to SPP today after wanting to go for a long time. I used to live in the hood so wanted to check out the area again and eat here. Had lunch and went with the Prosciutto pie. I had great difficulty deciding, as the pizza menu, all of them, all sounded good. Loved the crust. Had a very buttery taste. My sister and I had NONE to take home. Service was great. Loved the interior of this place By the time we left, the place was nearly full. Lots of changes on S. Perry I saw. Both my sister and I decided we have a favorite new pizza place. We left stuffed. Will be back!!!

It's a cool little pizza place. Lots of noise with people enjoying pizza. I liked watching them cook the pizzas. I had the gluten free house which was good. Good portion of meat. It was refreshing having a gluten free option! I would recommend to a friend to try it out.

Every time I go here I try something new. I have not been disappointed yet. I have made three trips here and always left full. I never have any leftovers because I keep scarfing all the good food.

I may be biased because I work in very close proximity to South Perry Pizza. They are a staple for any lunch meeting and always perfect for an after work drink. The Pizza place is really cute! They have a nice patio, a garage door for brisk days, and nice seating inside too. Inside they feature local artists on the walls, and they seem very interested in representing the South Perry District. They are always fast and friendly, and even when it's packed during farmer's market or a neighborhood event, I have never waited long for my food and bev. There are several yummy pizza options, an awesome beer list, and rotating specials. This is most definitely a neighborhood favorite. They really brought a cool vibe to the South Perry :-)

I have been there only once as a recommendation from a friend. We really enjoyed the pizza. Probably one of the best pizzas i have had in a long time! Service was great and so was the beer selection.

Went in looking for a VPN pizza and didn't get one... fold the crust in half twice? Fail... use only San Marzano tomatoes? Fail... use 00 flour? Fail... used Cheddar cheese (in addition to mozz) Fail... But... I did enjoy the pizza with its sub-dried tomato based sauce even if it wasn't authentic. A couple complaints... the fresh tomatoes were not very ripe, and chiffonade basil loses its flavorful character (tear it by hand next time please). If go you in expecting chain style or grocery store pizza do yourself a favor and go somewhere else. However if you appreciate artisan creations (even if it's not certified) then South Perry Pizza should be on your short list. Krista was awesome! I wish her success.

Great place to hang out for a few hours drink a few beers and have delicious artisan pizza. The atmosphere is relaxed, service is attentive but not obnoxious and the pizza is a gourmet adventure. It's not traditional in that you don't get a giant pizza with thick crust and a mountain of cheese. Instead you get high quality incredients in a perfect ratio to deliver a better experience. What I recommend - the Sausage Pizza and the Margherita Pizza. We live nearby and have been regulars since they opened. Glad to have them in the area and hope they stick around.

If you love Dominos, you may dislike South Perry Pizza. If you love wood fired pizza, you will love this place. I noticed the place driving down Perry one day and their Flame sign caught my eye! I can't help but be a bit concerned over Fred's review. Maybe he got an overcooked pizza, but this is definitely not chicago style or pan crust pizza. It is meant to be thin crusted fresh goodness. Don't get me wrong, I love a thick crusted pizza as much as the next gal, but this is just a different style. So really, if you really like thicker crusted pizzas, try David's or Beneditos. If you are looking for savory wood-fired thinner crust authentico pizzas, this is a great location! The thing I loved about this place is their topping combinations. They were so neat and original! Not to mention, they were also very tasty. We ended up ordering the antipasto platter and the house pizza. I wish the platter had come with a touch more mozzarella (its fresh!), but thats just because I am not a huge cured meat fan and like to combine my cured meats with stuff, like olives and mozzarella. Yum! The pizza came out. I couldn't wait. I couldn't wait to the point where I did end up mildly burning the back of my upper teeth. It was worth it! The two of us finished the whole pizza and left full. If I was more of a girly girl, we may have had a slice or two left over, but who wants to keep a slice or two?? We sat at the bar because the restaurant was full. Service was excellent and friendly. We couldn't decide between the house and the artichoke, so we just added artichoke hearts to our house. That was a very tasty and successful decision! My partner in eating action order a nice glass of 14 Hands red, I can't remember if it was a Syrah or Cab. I don't drink, but it smelled divine and he thoroughly enjoyed it with our meal. They had a very decent wine selection! The house pizza was savory and had a good portion of toppings. I feel like this is definitely a place I could come to and just sit and invent new pizzas all week. The crust and sauce are great, all you have to do is decide what you want to put on it!

I stopped by this place on the way home from work on a Sunday night. The Vikings were playing the Saints, so I thought I would catch the last quarter and try this new pizza place. I had heard it had opened in an old building on Perry, and liked to follow developments in that area. We went in and there was a TV on with the game playing. A big plus. We were immediately seated and I asked for a table from which we could see the game, which we were given - another plus. The decor was interesting and fun. Yet another plus. Unfortunately it went down hill from there. The selection of beer was limited, with very little variety. We ordered a pepperoni pizza with onions, and it was one of the worst pizzas I have ever had. To my tastes, the toppings were minuscule, the sauce was bland, and the crust was overcooked. Now I know that everyone has different tastes in pizza, so hopefully other people will enjoy this kind of pizza more than I did. We only ate less than one-half of it, and took the rest home, with the hope that it would be better microwaved. It wasn't. I hate writing bad reviews. I so much wanted this place to be a keeper, as I am always looking for new places to frequent. But other than the pleasant server, the atmosphere, and the game on TV, there was little to recommend here.

As a resident of the Perry district, I was elated to have an interesting restaurant nearby. I've had a long relationship with pizza. My father owned a pizza joint in Suncrest when I was in grade school and I worked at a variety of pizza delivery places all throughout my college years. I've eaten my share to be sure. I would classify South Perry Pizza as 'upscale.' By that I mean a bit pricier than chain pizza shops and some more adventurous toppings. Don't go expecting to get a large pepperoni and olive for $9. More like artichoke and prosciutto. Personally, I like a thick crust which this wasn't. The beer selection is equally adventurous. They carry none of the major brands as part of an agreement with neighboring businesses. You will not find your Budweiser here. All in all, I enjoyed the food and atmosphere. The service was great. There are some pizzas on the menu I have little to no interest in trying (strawberries on pizza?) but I'll definitely be going again.

Great neighborhood place, packed on weekdays. Our family was raving about the dough - something about how it takes 48 hours to make. They have a good variety, and I prefer the House pizza. We also got some flatbread and asked them to throw in some roasted garlic - that made all the difference! It was also excellent that they carried Iron Horse beer and Townshend wine.

South Perry Pizza is one of our favorite places for fun, relaxation, great rotating selection of beer on tap and yummy, unique pizza - all in a great neighborhood location. The waitstaff is always friendly and the ambiance is fun and inviting - in both the indoor and outdoor seating. Love this place!

Stopped in for a sunny lunch date and was pleased with the Bánh mì pizza special. A little spicy but not too overwhelming. I actually ordered a full size of this pizza for myself....too much. The lunch size would have been perfect. I'll be happy to go back again and try one of their other yummy looking pizzas.

I really enjoyed this place. It was pretty good pizza. They have decent micros on tap (no domestic crap) and wine. It is in a converted firehouse and has outdoor seating in the summer. Lots of kids and families, despite the fact it is pretty evidently not oriented to families (smaller pizzas, no games, etc). The service was pretty good, our waitress was attentive. The pizza itself wasn't outstanding but was solid. It needed a touch more sauce, a bit saltier cheese, and some wood in the oven for smokiness. I definitely intend on eating here again. It is no McKenzie River, but it is a good pie.

We had heard about how good South Perry Pizza was and we have to agree this place has it dialed in everything from the gluten free fare to the standard pies. I have never tasted a better gluten free pizza than the sausage with the GF crust. We will be back!!!

Ok--First off. The Pizza's alright. Cost is fine. If this review was for one or two people, I'd give it probably 3 stars. But the reason it gets one star is because of the service. I went there with about 14 people and the server told us she could not split up checks for groups of 6 or more. We told her that we had all ordered different things (with one person buying the group bottles of wine and pitchers), and we didn't want to evenly split the bill. The bottom line is that she basically lectured all of us, and acted like she was going WAY out of her way to charge us for WHAT WE HAD. Will not be going back.

Great place! Really close to Gonzaga and flavorful pizzas and libations. Complaints: They don't want to split checks! That is so crazy these days with hi-tech POS (point of sale) systems you will lose customers without it. Also, there is not a ton of parking. I would give a chance if I were you!

I think I might rate this place as the best thin crust in town. I had the House pizza and it was simply amazing with a crazy ass flavor. I will admit I like a more traditional type of pizza, but this place rocks. The waitress was awesome and she was great with the grand kid. Best part about it was if you show up before 4pm you can get a 7in pie for $7 which id about perfect. You are missing out if you do not give these guys a shot.

If you are looking for a truly quality pizza, this is your place. South Perry Pizza boasts a great atmosphere and even better food. The tap list is short but spectacular and boasts one of the friendliest barkeeps around. This is not going to be the cheapest pizza you've ever had, but it's worth it! Hands down the best pizza in Spokane.

The prosciutto pizza is one of their best offerings. Love the white sauce on there. There other pizzas are very good also. And the salad with the candied walnuts is yummy. a little hard to have a conversation because of the high ceilings, but small groups or a couple sitting at the bar like my husband and I do, can usually converse ok. And they usually have some good beers on tap to wash it all down.

I've tried five of the pizzas on the menu here. South Perry might be the best pizza I've ever had, and it is definitely the best I've had in Spokane. My favorite is the artichoke; I never thought a meatless pizza could be so perfect. The menu pizzas have a variety of different cheeses and sauces to complement the toppings on each one, so I recommend going in a group and ordering a few different ones so you can share and try a few pizzas. There are only a handful of beers on tap, but it's all good stuff. I also had a couple of tasty bottled beers last time because they were on a weekly special. The service has been quick and friendly every time. The staff are always happy to answer questions about the food and beer. Definitely give this place a try. The Perry neighborhood is turning around and it's businesses like South Perry Pizza that are helping make that happen.

SPP is our newest favorite spot in Spokane. First the neighborhood feels like any old neighborhood with the gentrified ease of Seattle or Portland. Parking is easy. The interior is Spartan but clean and functional with an adequately sized bar. The coolest part of the building is that they have large roll-up garage style doors that open to the outside patio and facing the street. We haven't partaken of it yet, but I'll bet this is very cool on a warm summer day. The service was prompt and friendly. In fact, one of the owners was waiting tables and took care of us personally. Always like to see businesses where the owner is directly involved rather than hiring a slew of 18 years old who inevitably provide underwhelming service. We over-ordered again to get a taste of the menu. We had the "House" pizza which was basically a meat-lovers pie, and a Prosciutto pie. I also had the house greens salad with a nice balsamic dressing. The pies were very good, and came out scalding hot! Very refreshing when your pizza actually gets to the table hot. The House pie was flavorful with lots of pepperoni, Italian sausage, mushrooms and caramelized onions. The Prosciutto pie was equally delicious but in an entirely different way. This pie had a very light and tasty white sauce, accompanying the prosciutto and fresh arugula on top, giving it a very bright taste; different but great. Their pizza dough was a good in between dough for me. The dough was cracker crisp in parts but still fluffy and chewy in others. I normally don't eat the pizza edges but this trip I did. For dessert we split the hot brownie with strawberry ice cream. Awesome! Overall, a very nice experience at SPP and we will certainly return. A better price point, and more for food for the price than at Fire Pizza. (Also no soggy or burnt pie at SPP!)

Great pizza, great service, and pretty good beer. What can't you enjoy about that? Oh yeah, awesome patio in a cool little neighborhood. Plus did I mention delcious pizza?

Great beer selection. Great atmosphere. It is definitely buzzing with energy...mostly due to the many customers. It's fun to watch the dough-making process and see the flames ready to work it's magic on said dough! I think this place has the potential to be Spokane's #1 pizza joint...that is, if you like really good pizza. Some people just don't know what that is!

BEST PIZZA I HAVE EVER EATEN IN MY LIFE!!! Get the one with olive oil instead of sauce with, I think brochette and spinach. Can't remember the name but it was awesome and inexpensive, a small was like 7.00 and about 8 inches. 14 bucks for two people, I would way rather pay that for this great food and atmosphere than eat at some other pizza place for more.

A fun place to hang out with good food and pizza! Service was very nice and had a local feel, atmosphere is definitely local and upbeat! If you are a Dominos pizza person then dial for delivery, otherwise drop by and enjoy a great night out in a local hangout!

Pizza

Pizza is a famous Italian dish savored around the world. The entire credit for the popularity of Pizza in the United States goes to the chain of pizzerias all over the country. While the base and the texture of Pizza remains same across the globe, it's the toppings that differs from country to country. In the United States, you will find the top pizzerias serving pizzas with the toppings of mainly beef, bacon, chicken, ham, and sausage for the non-vegetarians. Other than these famous meat options, Pizzas with veg toppings such as mushrooms, pepperonis, garlic, tomatoes, spinach, etc. are also famous in most restaurants in the United States.

Irrespective of your locality, you will find a variety of different restaurants in your cities offering pizzas of all different types. Pizza is hot favorite among people of all ages in the United States. A large size pizza is enough to feed a family of 3 or 4 at large. Pizza is also the most preferred food whenever a group of friends is hanging out together. Pizza gained popularity in the United States after the American soldiers stationed in Italy returned from World War II.

Over the years, different pizzerias in the United States have developed their own respective regional variations. Pizza gained popularity as the iconic dish in the United States in the second half of the 20th century. Whether you prefer thin or thick crust pizza, you can find a pizza of your preference at the best pizza restaurants in your city.

Italian Cuisine

The immense popularity of Italian cuisine globally isn't unknown. You can find an Italian Pizzeria around every corner of almost every city in the United States. Not to forget that in every house, people enjoy mac and cheese as comfort food. But it would be wrong to believe that Italian food starts with pizza and ends with good pasta as this Mediterranean country has much more to offer other than these two dishes. In Italian Cuisine, there is a high use of fresh tomatoes, all kinds of herbs, great quality of cheese, all types of meat, seafood and fresh handmade pasta. Many find it hard to believe that Italians have been making noodles long back.

Italian and Greek cuisines are always mistaken to be same, but they are poles apart. The primary difference between the two cuisines is the use of cheese in most of the Italian dishes. Italians love to cultivate their own cheese and process them as per their food requirement. It is believed that some cheese is so expensive that cheese producers secure them in lockers.

If you are bored eating the same old pasta or pizza, you can try some of the authentic Italian dishes like Risotto, Polenta, Ribollita, Lasagna, Fiorentina Steak, Bottarga, Ossobuco, Carbonara, Focaccia, Arancini and Supplì. Another item which Italians love to relish every morning is a good cup of Italian Coffee. Once you taste a freshly brewed cup of Italian Coffee, you might not visit Starbucks ever again. Authentic Italian food is made with heart and soul, so go find a restaurant where you can relish Italian cuisine in your city.
