The menu of burgers is quite long and I have tried a few of them and have always enjoyed them. The fries and onion rings are also good. Shakes too are delicious. The restaurant itself is inviting and nicely built too. But there is one thing that keeps me from visiting more often, their ridiculous ordering system. You walk in and if the place is busy you wait in line and order at the register, then they give you a number to identify you at your seat so they can bring you your food. They have signs on the tables explaining how this kind of "service" works but I have news: Calling "service" something else doesn't make it "service". Eating premium burgers in a cafeteria is not my style so I go less often than I would. Maybe that is good for my waistline. There is full service in the bar, I've sat there once for lunch and that was the best visit I've ever had to Blazing Onion. Unfortunately since I have a child I can't use this option for family dining. I wish the owners would rethink their approach and put full service throughout the dining room, they would surely get more business and the staff would get more tips. I feel weird tipping as it is now since they haven't done anything more for me than if I'd gone to McDonalds. Bottom line: Great food, stupid delivery.

I like this place, the menu has plenty of options such as wild game, gourmet burgers, chicken, salads, and even a lighter option menu. I enjoy the buffalo burger. It's different, going up to order first, then sitting down, but you get used to it quickly. The staff is friendly and helpful. The atmosphere is much like any bar/restaurant, and they have for tv's with one or more games on. The prices are a little on the high side, on my opinion, but worth it once in a while.

I've called in for takeout several times and I'm usually disappointed. I keep coming back because it's convenient, I live close, but no more. No condiments are ever offered and I forget I want them until I get home and unpack the bags to eat dinner with my family. No seasoning on food and it just seems like they threw the food into the boxes instead of packaging it decently to go. Today is the last straw for me. I called in to place my order and was asked to hold. I've been on hold for 10 minutes now and still waiting. Poor customer service here and do not recommend to anyone. Worth mentioning though that I've had much better experiences at other Blazing Onion locations, too bad Snohomish just seems to fall short.

After an epic wind storm we went on an adventure to find food anywhere that had power. This place is a ways from our house but we saw lights on, as did everyone else. Apparently they had lost power for 2 hours, sent everyone home and once regained power the masses arrived. The staff handled it beautifully. They helped each other, they were friendly, the food was hot and good. I'd come here again just out of mass respect for the staff who was able to perform under pressure.

I have had takeout from here twice. Both times I got the Teriyaki Swiss Chicken Sandwich with fries and tarter sauce. It was good and service was ok. I want to try their chili. I might review differently once I have actually ate at the restaurant.

We love this laid back atmosphere! The food is excellent and you do not feel rushed. My son had the opportunity to pick and restaurant for his birthday and picked this one!

The food was good but service was absolutely the worst. We watched our waitress take orders from three different tables seated after us. Then I had to ask another waitress to help us. It was the worst service I had ever got in a restaurant.

Good burger spot , inexpensive happy hour selection , friendly staff & food is consistent . Hubby always gets the buffalo burger and he always likes it. Cold beers + frosty mugs = good times .

Interesting concept for ordering food, but I was not disappointed with the results! You stand in line to order, unless you want to eat in the bar, and the staff secures you a table while you order. Food was at our table in a reasonable amount of time and I was treated to the biggest meatloaf sandwich I have seen in a long time. It was served with a side order of fries and covered in onion straws (which were super yummy)! Took some home for leftovers, which is a win-win and liked that the staff shared tips from a community tip jar!

As my wife and I walked to the restaurant we seen a lady employee out back on the phone ....Then we walked into the bar and that same lady was now talking to the bartender ,they both looked over at US as we sat down (8 feet away ) at the Bar that was empty waited 30 sec. with no response from them ? A simple hi,hello ,welcome or be with you in a minute? ? nothing ...so we walked out . Bad vibe Not Happy ..,keep your Drama at your trailer park ......Every other visit was 3 -4 star just not today .

Not worth a penny. We placed a to-go order for a burger, kids burgers, and a salad. Husband got there waited for our food to finish and drove back home. We love 10 minutes away. When he got home we sat down to eat immediately and all of our hot food was cold. Nothing was seasoned either. We are VERY disappointed and want our money back.

Normally decent service - NOT tonight. This place imploded this evening. The guy at the front door had no control of seating or explaining how the process would work given the fact he was metering people to seats. Then when we sat for 15 minutes I asked if someone would wait on us - nope, go stand in line again. We waited in this line originally and was told not to order. Then they kept bringing is wine. We did the right thing and returned it. Three times they brought to us. Finally a woman cam by with a bad attitude and asked if we purchased wine. I finally said just give it to me. No we didn't order it but if it makes you stop coming by then we'll take it. Sh didn't like that at all. But WTH. Get your stuff together. Best 2 hour ordeal. Ever. NOT!

We had dinner there last night and it was the best so far! The staff was very helpful and attentive. The promptly cleared our plates and brought us everything we asked for. Dinner was great to and came out very fast and hot! Blazing Onion is a great family restaurant to enjoy a night out! We will definitely be back!

We went for lunch yesterday, sat in the Bar because there we were able to get full service. The waitress was great. Between the 3 of us we had Fish and chips, Prawns with mashed potatoes, a Pulled pork taco and a chicken taco. The food was absolutely wonderful. I would have given 5 stars if the Internet was working and I could have done my review right there.

I have been here twice now and both times received great service. Quick note though - they do close at 11pm not midnight, made that mistake and felt horrible for ordering dinner at 10:45! They have a good special Saturday night on the domestics drafts though and loved my Caesar salad.

I'm surprised at some of the lower reviews because this place is outstanding for a burger joint. You won't find a better burger anywhere! I eat in the bar because I like to be served. The service is always excellent. The wait staff is so friendly. My only complaint is there are so many TV screens everywhere in the bar. Yes, it's a sports bar and I know it's just me. I don't like the distraction of all the TV's. Try this place out. It's great!

Unlike the Lynwood and Mill Creek locations, service at this location is not good. It has nothing to do with how busy they are either. It seems they hire a high school or college age females and they seem to chat most of the time...to eachother. No eye contact or desire to be helpful. We barely had any service the 2 times we were there at dinner. Burgers and fries were good...So we will continue to go to Blazing Onions. P.S. They have only 1 soda station so there was a queue 2-4 people deep sometimes. That part of their service is just strange. Plenty of people walking around, but go get your own drinks? Odd.

    (2)
  • Mark E.

Good food, absolutely horrible service. Service took 15 minutes after being seated. Had to ask twice for drinks and sides, then ended up paying our bill through another waitress because outs had been MIA for our entire meal. Go to another location.

We got there at 4pm and the service was terrible, and the food was even worse! Well, you decide! Please read on... Since the bar was almost empty I thought the service would be good. We had the same thing we always get and one new thing, the Jalapeno Peppers. So I ordered The Mediterranean Burger and my friend had a Burger Dip. I realize the poppers could potentially could be hot, but these needed their own warning label. VERY HOT! I asked the server and she said they vary. I can eat spicy, I wasn't afraid. Big mistake. These suckers brought my friend's taste buds back to life. No joke - he had a stroke a few months back and lost his sense of taste - or so he thought. Totally not kidding around. I kept coughing. Not good. The Mediterranean Burger tasted like any other overcooked burger. I use to order this because it was bursting with flavor and cooked to perfection. I didn't even taste any lamb or rosemary, just charred beef. The fries were cold. Asked for some hot ones, got more cold fries. Nothing worse, except for the burger! Well maybe a tie for the service. The other burger was pretty unremarkable too. The bill came to $52 and change - I KNOW! That's a lot of cash for a couple burgers and drinks. I ponied up three twenties and one five. $65 bucks for those of you that need a calculator, like our server. Keep the change I thought. I just want to leave. She brought me back $2 and some change. Girl can't do math! I threw (another) five spot on the table and left.

Do not order the steak dinner! Meat was grisly, and not cooked as ordered. Seasoning was mediocre, overall lackluster flavor, and most disturbing was wrong doneness on both of our orders. Salad was fresh, ample serving size, pleasing toppings. I should have stopped there. Garlic mashed potatoes were nicely textured with peels, mildly seasoned, yet drowned on bottom by steak toppings that was flavorless but wet, ruining the possible flavor potential. I was unable to eat past three bites of steak. Steak was horrible. Priced at 15.99$ for the dinner this was a fail. Atmosphere is casual, comfortable, and premises are very clean. Full service in the bar, order at counter for self-seating in dining area. We ate in the bar. Service was average, manager was condescending. Previously I have tried the hamburgers, they were flavorful yet very greasy. This time, craving a steak, both of us had hoped for an acceptable dinner. This desire was crushed. Drinks at this location tasted watered down. Avoid this location, instead visit the Marysville/Smokey Point location. That site offers good service and food quality.

Blazing Onion is just o.k., nothing special to write home about. When I first walked in I was little shocked to see that you are expected to order up front, and seat yourself. Seems a bit like a fast food restaurant? One also gets their own beverages and refills them. Fine by me....if the prices were a bit less. Basically, Blazing Onion is ripping off customers by charging full service prices for half the service. They'll deliver your food to your table, but that's about it. If you're a local and have experiences Buzz In Steak House Restaurants, this pretty much describes Blazing Onion, except that it's a hamburger house. I'd rather go to Bob's Burgers or The Ram and get full service for the same price.

Food is really good, service is friendly and attentive. A little on the spendy side, but reasonable. Great bar and atmosphere.

After running Mom around all morning decided to give Blazing Onion a try for lunch. Funny that we went to a "burger" joint and didn't order burgers! Mom had fish and chips and I had a club sandwich. We loved them both! Before, we ordered fried onion petals and spicy wings appetizers. Took those home as we couldn't eat everything. I was very pleased as was Mom. Our server, Bryan was a complete dream gentleman and impressed my Mom so much she found it necessary to show off her new, and first, tattoo. He made the visit. The food was great but Bryan sold it for us! Thanks Bryan!

Three stars for great looking place, very nice and friendly stafff, super cool soda machine. Food quality was below expectations. Dry meat, bland flavor, and missing the goodness experience of eating hamburgers. I hope they improve the recipe and seasoning. We order three different types and all three fell below even the standard experience. Nice plus, was to have hormone free meat.

I haven't been to a Blazing Onion in a couple years. Now, I think I remember why. We visited here on a Friday afternoon around 4:00 -- it was not busy. On my visit today, my daughter and I both ordered a burger and a shake. The shakes were *ok* but nothing to write home about. The burgers came out (after what seemed much longer than it should have) and while my daughter's was nice and hot, mine was pretty damn cold. Like, how long had it sat there. Cold. After I had them take it back and make it again, it was hot, and *ok* but nothing as good as Five Guys, or even Red Robin's. The French fries (when you get them hot) are ... passable, but definitely nothing to come back for. I probably won't go back for a few more years at this point. Life's too short for a mediocre burger and run-of-the-mill fries.

Hubby and I like to enjoy eating there for dinner on Fridays on the bar side. The burgers are always cooked great and taste great! The service is ok..

I absolutely LOVE Blazing Onion. I have been to this location multiple times, along with others in the area and I am never disappointed. My all time favorite burger is their hickory BBQ burger. It always tastes amazing and their BBQ sauce makes the burger. The fries are always seasoned and always hot. Their mixed drinks are a bit pricey, but personally I feel worth it. The staff is always quick and super friendly. For a burger, this is my go to place!

Great food, great servers, person taking our order could give a hoot less and acted like she was very inconvenienced to have a job. Tall dark haired gal. Yawned the hole time she took our order and didn't know what a smile was. Even the people behind us approached us at our tabl we later and asked if she was rude to us as she was to them also. That poor couple thought they had offended her. We assured them it was her and not them. Other than that it's a fun place

If you are looking for a standard mid-scale chain burger you've come to the right spot! The need to cook the hell out of the meat to kill any threat of food borne illness (and every bit of flavor along with it) is in full effect. To be clear the burgers are dry and lack seasoning. Despite the aloof cashiers (how about a little energy?) the cool ordering process, a decent menu and the awesome Coca-Cola Freestyle are all pluses. The decor and bar are cool too. But let's face it, this place touts itself has a burger company - there's some work to do.

Easily some of the best burgers that I have every had I have eaten here. My favorite is the ranch hand bacon burger, which includes an egg. The regular fries, sweet potato fries and onion rings are all very good too. And they have great desserts and milk shakes. Some people get thrown off by the ordering system (you order first and then the food is delivered to you, but a staff of servers follows up and brings any alcoholic drinks, deserts, etc. just like a regular restaurant. And if the order first system is not for you, and you don't have kids with you, just sit in the lounge where service is like any other restaurant. Warning - it can get pretty busy on Friday and Saturday nights.

The first time I came here I had a to go order for a burger and onion rings on the side. I went home and they had given me fries instead. I came here again tonight and made another to go order with onion rings on the side. This time I checked before I left the parking lot and they forgot the onion rings again! I don't know if this happens often here but it is super annoying. They didn't even apologize when I went in to tell them. Giving three stars because the food is actually good and the people are nice.

I love the meatloaf sandwich here! I don't often like restaurant's meatloaf as they tend to overdo it with veggies or peppers. The portion is also large. Coupled with their crispy fries and sauces, it is always my go-to at Blazing Onion. I have also had a bacon burger and buffalo bacon burger and those were very good as well. My son loves the buffalo burger. The salads are quite good too. I'm giving 4 star because I really don't like having to stand in the entry way and order first. They are attentive and friendly when you flag them down during your meal with the sign they put on the tables to do so. Enjoy!

We come here about once a month and we have enjoyed it every time. The wait staff is friendly and always helpful with suggestions. Like the Wild Boar patty substituted on a 3 Cheese Burger...ummm...yeah. A+ The Sweet Potato Fries are outstanding and I love the Bob's Sauce, it takes like Comeback Sauce from the south. Love, love love.

Most of the time our food is really good. There have been a few times when it hasn't been, order wasn't put in, food was cold or our order messed up. It's nice they have enlarged the bar area so if you want to sit, order & be served you have that option. We were there last night with friends-great food & great service in the bar area. Update- still having a problem with getting our orders wrong. I ordered a chicken burger, got a beef burger. She even said as she said it down "California Chicken Burger" I didn't notice until she was gone, this is beef. It took awhile to get someone's attention, girl said sorry do you want us to make you the correct one. We were in a bit of a hurry so didn't have time. My burger was good just not what I ordered. Went again to have lunch with a friend=food was good but they got my order wrong Again !!! Service is the bar was not very friendly I still like Blazing Onion Update 1/8/2015 We have been quite a few times since I wrote the last update. It has gone downhill in the past year. The food has not been good and bar service really lousy. We are done with Blazing Onion.

It's loud and overpriced. I had to tell the kid 4 times that our order was to go. After all that, the didn't get my entire order. I had to ask her to complete it. They didn't include utensils...

We've noticed some changes that we're not all that thrilled about. The fries are different and our last few times they were soggy. Ew. The plates changed as well, which may seem like a little thing, but they are long and narrow and all your food feels crowded into a tiny space. Ok, its not a huge issue, but just something I noticed and didn't like. I had their meatloaf burger on our last visit and was disappointed. The meatloaf was still cool in the middle and its WAY too big for the bun. Two giant slabs of meatloaf in a bun plus tomato, etc? The flavor was actually good, but everything falls out immediately and gets all over your hands. They also didn't use their regular bun (which generally holds together well) but a softer type bun that collapsed under the weight of the enormous hunks of loaf. It was a disappointing meal and made me wish I'd stuck with my ever trusty Thai Peanut Burger. The service has always been good. We have a larger family and they immediately help us find seating when its the least bit crowded. We've never had to wait more than 5 minutes for a seat. They bring us crackers for the baby to keep him happy. Hopefully they'll be able to rectify the fry issue. I usually really like their fries and it seems like the new ones would taste good too if they were just actually fried long enough.

The ultimate grilled cheese is superb. Really good tasting bacon and some unique cheese on it. Got half fries and half onion rings because I love both-especially dipped on their great tarter sauce. Great service as usual.

  • Michael G.

I went there today and ordered a gluten free cheeseburger, which came with salt & pepper chips, and a soda. The GF buns for the burger were hands down the best I've had to date at any joint. I actually walked over to the bartender to make sure they hadn't given me the wrong buns just to be sure. She said that she gets that a lot, and that she too thought they were the best GF buns. The chips were good. For those of you with Celiac Disease if you are craving a real old school American burger experience this is for you. The downside here is that for the meal with pop and chips it was $16+ with tip. Also, the burger patty was thinner/ less meat than I expected. But again, for someone eating exclusively GF, it would seem worth the price on occasion to get your American style cheeseburger fix taken care of here.

I bring my elderly grandmother here at least twice a month, as she loves their burgers. Her memory isn't what it used to be and she's very hard of hearing. The very sweet server we had in the bar, well, was just fantasic. My grandmother has some rough days where she is sad, this server brought a smile to my grandma's face, which almost brought a tear to my eye. I wish I caught her name, she was the only brunette working on sunday night in the bar. Thank you sweet girl, and my grandma says you can come have dinner with her anytime. :-)

I love this spot for lunch and dinner. It's nice to not have to wait for a table and the food is always hot and delicious! My guilty pleasure is their buffalo chicken sandwich. My kids always beg to go here too and they love their mini burgers!

My boyfriend and I go here all the time and are usually pleased every time we go. One time I went here with him and his Dad, and I ordered the Mediterranean Lamb flat bread pizza. It was really hard on the bottom, and almost impossible to eat because it was so burnt. I made a comment to my group about it, and a manager over heard my complaint, and without saying anything he ordered me a new one that was made correctly. Granted this happened a little too late, but I felt that it was great of them to correct the mistake. Other than that one time, I have had some great food and beverages here (Dangerous Dave is amazing). I only have sat in the bar because I enjoy the full service compared to the fast food esque pay before you eat situation in the dining area. Overall, they have pretty friendly staff, good food and good drinks.

We always sit in the bar area and get great service. There are plenty of TV's and the food is pretty good. This is a good place in Snohomish to watch sports. My wife loves the Chicken Teriyaki!

I love Blazing Onion. My personal favorites are their Farmhouse Vegetarian Burger (OMG YUM!!), their Garlic Meatloaf Burger, & their Onion Rings. I come here all the time. EDIT: Lowered my rating to two stars. I deducted one for each of my to-go orders you've screwed up this past month. The first order the gardenburger patty was cold and chalky, the fries undercooked, and the onion petal batter way too thick & undercooked. Note to others, don't bother ordering food to go 20 minutes before they close because they're too busy trying to get everyone out so they can go home on time. I brought the food back the next day & the Manager gave me a $20 gift card so I tried again. I ordered the same thing and it was undercooked once again. I order their Farmhouse Garden Burger ALL THE TIME, so I know how it's supposed to be. They need to get their act together on the to-go orders. I'm sure I'll break down & order again eventually, but it's not going to be for a LONG time. 2nd EDIT: I ordered onion petals and once again there was raw batter on the inside, and greasy & limp on the outside. How hard is it to deep-fry something properly? Seriously...pay attention! I won't lower it down to 1 star because I still like this place. My advice, check your to-go orders before leaving the parking lot to ensure things were cooked properly, or you may end up being disappointed. 3rd EDIT: 072915 I've stopped going here all-together. The Farmhouse Vegetarian Burger used to be good, but they went & screwed it up by changing it a bit. BOOOOOOO!!! It's got a different bun and a different sauce. I didn't like it at all. I'll still leave my review at 2 stars because I love their fish & chips, but I won't be back.

Wife and I went this past weekend. We sat in the bar, and got friendly and fast service. They did mess up the wife's order, but were quick and courteous to correct it. The food is just unimpressive. Not bad, just ok. With other places like Bob's and the RAM, I don't see any reason to come back to this place.

The service was excellent, food was good and beer was cold. First time here was has a cool concept, walk in and order like a fast food joint but has quality and service of a sit down place. Would come back again.

First time here with some friends and the Hus. I was a little taken back at the way you order and then sit down since I thought this was a Red Robin type of place. No worries though! Huge menu with tons of choices. I went with the classic Blazing onion burger. Piled high with grilled onions this was amazing! The fries are always really good. I asked for a side of BBQ to dip them and this was no run of the mill sauce. I am not sure if they make it or what but it had so much flavor! So good. Prices aren't too bad for the amount of food you get. I would go here over Red any day. We will be back :)

I've been to this Blazing Onion several times and haven't been disappointed so far. I was slightly confused with the order at the counter then sit down with a number idea but it seems to work for them. We've had several servers who have all been pretty friendly and able to get any extra sauces in a reasonable time (please note that we've sat outside, in the general dining area and at the bar). They are one of the few places that make a good turkey burger. I've order this at least 3 times and it's never been dry. I did find their buffalo burger a bit dry. I also like the option of sweet potato fries. Food is good, service friendly and fast and it's family friendly (they do have a small bar area if you're not feeling so family-friendly).

  • Shane W.

This place used to be outstanding -- now it seems hit or miss. Sometimes the burgers are outstanding, other times they are overcooked and charred. Fries are well seasoned but, like the burgers, sometimes they are dry and only slightly warm. If Blazing can get consistent again with their quality then they will be a 4 star place. The interior layout of the restaurant is nice, lots of TV's to watch sports and it is usually very clean. The "coke your way" machine is pretty cool and a big hit with the kids. Pricing is a bit high but not unreasonable.

I am a huge fan of the Blazing Onion! This location in Snohomish is probably their nicest one compared to Alderwood and Mill Creek. I actually like placing my order when I walk in, then having a seat and waiting for it to arrive. It seems like that is a much more efficient way to get that delicious food to me faster! It's always fun using their nifty self serve soda machine that dispenses over 100 different types of beverages. You can choose different flavored syrups for your soda or just go with the basics. It's silly but I enjoy it. The food is friggin awesome and I've liked everything I've tried. During my most recent visit in Snohomish, I had the BBQ burger which came with all the fixins, cheese, BBQ sauce and crispy onions (which made the burger by the way). It was super duper delicious, fresh and filling. After much deliberation, my husband got the meatloaf burger and it was quite the meal. Two meatloaf patties on a hamburger bun? DANG! It was huge, but he seemed to love it. The service is fast, friendly and the food is great. I love this place, seriously.

I'm tired of the "stand in line and pay first" aspect of BOBC! The food is fine and the staff are great but having to wait in line to order behind a line of people who have no clue what they want is getting old! The bar has table service but getting a table in the tiny bar is tough.

    (2)
  • Kam M.

We eat hear quite a lot and have had some good food. Most of the time it's fine, not always consistent. We love the salmon sandwich. I order it with extra sauce and red onion for a kick. We love the bacon burger and the hot wings, too. Fries area always yummy. Salads are not good and the kids' meals are exactly what you get anywhere else. Sometimes the service is slow and the food is cold. Husband loves the onion rings.

Wtf happened to blazing onion!!?? Maybe I just hit a bad night .?The food was awful, my order was wrong and the waitress was rolling her eyes at every table she stopped at with major attitude . .:( The food isn't in the basket anymore, now its on a fancy plate.!!! Trying to make it fine dining?? I just want a messy burger. I don't know what happened over the past few months, it was usually one of my favs :( 2 stars for the pop machine

I realize staffing a restaurant is not easy but handcuffing staff with illogical customer policies only exaggerates the problem. If you have a walk up order desk instead of using wait staff then don't refuse to take an order because you can't manage a dining room. We were told a table will open in five minutes so I said we would just order in advance. "That's not our policy" is my most hated response to a customer ever. Their reason is "we are so fast you won't have a table when the food is ready". Well we are now sitting for 23 minutes and still no hamburgers.

Wow. Snohomish , who would think? This is top quality diner burger faire. The menu is surprisingly big and varied for many different palates. Did I mention sweet potato fries. Full bar and a futuristic self service pop dispenser. Drive to it and you will be sold. This is not fast food, new ideas are always being tried to be fresh for the changing wants of the customers. Smart and caring owners.

The cheddar broccoli soup was more like cheddar soup and getting somthing as simple as no tomatoes on the club sandwich right was to much for the cooks . NOT IMPRESSED...

Decent basic sit-down burger chain restaurant. Don't expect to be WOWed by anything, but anyone should be able to find something that they like in here. Better than an Appleby's, but not by much.

My family and I have dined here a handful of times and each time we have truly enjoyed the experience. The shakes at this place are AMAZING and the burgers are quite tasty. The servers are always friendly and the staff is always around to help with whatever you may need. You pay up front so bring cash for tipping.

Third try confirmed my first opinion. Just another gourmet burger wannabe. Wow! Greasy, uninspired chain food. Nothing original or even desirable here. I will not be back, and hey! I'm REALLY not that picky! I just want them NOT to ruin the food before they serve it. It was perfectly good food before their "cooks" get a hold of it. Service is so-so and hey, really LIFE IS TOO SHORT FOR MEDIOCRITY! Why spend your hard earned money and precious minutes of your life in this soul-sucking vacuum of suburban despair. If you go here and think it was unique or good food, then you need to throttle down on the happy pills. I mean really... How hard is it to cook a decent hamburger?

7/13/11 Revisit - Very noisy in a big room , over the top loud voices and canned music. The food is ok. I had the Texas burger and it was average ,the fries were very good. too much sauce for my taste. On par with RedRobin, much the same feel. Strange order process. Order from a counter , get a number and your drink. They give you a number for the table and a server brings it out, tells you about endless fries but never seen again . A $10.00 burger and McD service ? Please! ---------------------------------- I have been there a couple times to give it a fair shot. I really don't like open the door and order , get a number and sit. That is McD's not a $25.00 for 2 lunch spot. The foods was bland and presentation sloppy. A few words to mgmt : I define service as I take a seat order from a menu , a server brings it and checks back a couple times. I tip for that. I don't tip if I order from a window get a number sit , after getting my own drink and someone brings it to me. That is not added value or what I define as service anymore than handing me a bag at a fast food place I sat by the window next to the door.Due to a large gap between the wall and door , every time the door was opened I was blasted with cold air through this mini wind tunnel. Not fun , fix it or remove the tables effected

This is our family's favorite restaurant. We go there at least once a month. They have great burgers, and while the selection of salads is limited, the ones they have taste good. The wait staff are all very friendly, and even when it's crowded it doesn't seem to take a long time to get a table. We have been going there since before our son was born, and he loves their french fries. And the new soda machine is amazing (although you can't get chocolate sodas - bummer!) If you like burgers, fries, and sports bars, you'll like Blazing Onion.

I love the Blazing Onion Burger Co. The Snohomish restaurant is closest to my home, it also happens to be my least favorite of their restaurants, but that's ok because I STILL give it 4 stars :) The Lynnwood location just happens to perform food & customer service wise at a 5 star level every time! I wish they would go back to the old fries, but other than that - thank you for making the best veggie burgers ever.

Nice cusomter service which is always a plus when you got out to eat... I'm very particular on my burgers after being spoiled with a place near Kent. I thought the burgers at Blazing Onion was A-OK. NOthing special and nothing sets it apart, but it's still a tasty burger.

Everything I've tried at the Blazing Onion in Snohomish was delicious! Their Wild Boar burger with cole slaw is very, very good The patty is really thick, and tastes very gamey- you can tell it really is wild boar! The sweet potato fries are great, not soggy like in most places.

By far the worst restaurant I have been too. 5 out of 5 times have sucked major ass. this is the only place in the world I truly hate. I don't know why they are so good at destroying a simple hamburger, but they are. YUK!!!!!!!!!!! :(

This place is bomb. Not a disappointing burger on the menu. Not the cheapest place, but if that's not a factor to you than this is the place to go. Prompt service, fancy ass drink machine and nothin but the best of burgers (with bottomless fries of course). Check it out if ya got the spare change.

Something changed!!! We are very disappointed by our visit to the Snohomish Blazing Onion Burger tonight! We ordered a Patty Melt and a Cheese Burger off of the regular adult menu. Our burger patties were both kids sized (not 1/3 lb like they advertise) and did not have the fresh ground chuck taste that I am used to getting from Blazing Onion. I have discerning tastes and I am surely disappointed by spending $26.67 + an additional tip for 2 burgers that were of McDonalds quality!!! I asked the supervisor if they had changed their burger patties, she asked the cooks, who replied "no". Then she mentioned maybe they "pressed it too hard" --- what??? I have been there many times and will attest that they have changed. I have pictures of the burgers as evidence of the small / thin patty on a full size bun! I will not be returning, and will try out the new Bob's Burger in Everett instead! I attempted to contact management on their website and got a 404 page not found error when submitting my comments! Nice... B.O.B. or Bob's, I think I will choose Bob's Burger in Everett instead! 1/15/11: emailed the manager a week ago, still no reply! I am sincerely disappointed! I guess they lost another family of customers! 10/28/11: Finally a reply on this review!!! Nearly 11 months later. The owner says I tried to "blackmail him"? HUH??? Is this blackmail? Check your inbox. show details Jan 10 David, Thank you for your reply, perhaps we received a kids size burger by mistake? Here is a link to my review of Snohomish Blazing Onion, and a picture of the burger. yelp.com/biz/blazing-oni… Please compare this with your other pics, it is pretty obvious it was smaller. Also, I did bring this to the attention of the lead (re: your comment to bring this to the attention immediately) there was no Mgr on duty when we ate, but the lead asked the cooks if anything changed... They replied "no". I informed the lead that we were very disappointed in our food quality that evening, she said sorry, that was it... All I know is that it wasn't the same burger I am familiar with getting at BOB. My wife and I both expressed the same feelings...

My husband and I went here today for the first time. We really enjoyed everything we tried! He had the Blazing Onion burger with a side of chili, which he said was "just right". I had the Sirloin with the mushroom demi glaze, and it was delicious!! Also really enjoyed the Chocolate Thunder.. OMG!! It is huge, we could only get through about a quarter of it.. but it'll make nice leftovers! The service was great too, we will be coming back! They even treated our little Chihuahua very well (we sat in the patio).

First time for wife and I at the BO for lunch. We were a little surprised when we walked in to see that you order at the counter (like McDonalds) but were offered full-service in the bar. Since we were expecting full service, we sat in the bar. Wife had the veggi-burger and I had the Chipotle Ranch Chicken. Both were outstanding, light, healthy, and reasonably priced. Service was excellent. Will definitely be going back!

Let me first say that I don't lake flame-grilled anything, so I was skeptical about this place. The first time we went, I ordered the Reuben because there are no flames involved in that. It was delicious and had a very, very generous portion of meat. I got the sweet potato fries and was in fry heaven. But dang, my husband's burger sure looked good... So I tasted it, and you know, it was pretty darn tasty! I could actually taste something besides the char flavor I hate. So I had to go back the next day. I couldn't wait to have my own burger. I got the Sweet Hickory BBQ Burger and this time I got half regular and half sweet potato fries. I wasn't disappointed in anything. Regular fries dipped in BOB sauce were to die for. Sweet potato fries as good as the first time. And ohhhh, the burger! *drools* We've been back a few more times and we just love everything about this place. We met the owner and his wife and they are the nicest people you'd want to meet. The service is fast and cheerful. It's always clean. I've never had to wait, but I'd much rather wait for a Blazing Onion burger than go to Red Robin any day. As for the comments about their prices, let me give you a few comparisons. Bacon Cheeseburger: B.O. - $ 8.99, RR - $ 9.79 BBQ Burger: B.O. - $ 8.49, RR - $ 9.29 Caesar Chicken Wrap: B.O. - $ 9.49, RR - $ 9.99 Cod & Chips: B.O. - $10.99, RR - $11.99 Cobb Salad: B.O. - $10.49, RR - $10.79 Chicken Caesar: B.O. - $ 9.49, RR - $ 9.99 French Onion Soup: B.O. - $ 5.39, RR - $ 5.49 Chili: B.O. - $ 3.99/$5.39, RR - $ 3.29/$5.29 Onion Rings: B.O. - $ 4.99, RR - $ 7.99 Buffalo Wings: B.O. - $ 8.79, RR - $ 8.99 Soda (both bottomless): B.O. - $ 1.79, RR - $ 2.39 ...and I'm tired of typing, so let me just tell you that those were all of the things on the menus that I could find that I could find on both menus in those categories. Now you just get summaries because I'm bored with this: The mixed drinks are about $1 more each at Blazing Onion than Red Robin. Desserts: A lot more choices at Blazing Onion, and they're less expensive. Kid's menu: 5 choices at B.O., all at $4.49, 9 choices at RR ranging in price from $3.99 to $4.79. So basically, Blazing Onion is less expensive than Red Robin (plus it tastes better.) Go to RR to drink, though I'm sure you can find a better option for that! To win hands down, all Blazing Onion would have to do is add a few more items to the kid's menu and lower their drink prices. But in my book they have already won by a long-shot! Guess where I'm going for dinner tonight!?

Its been over a year since my last review and a couple since my very first visit. I have eaten many a burger at many different places since then, and let me tell you what. I have never had a better Burger anywhere else on earth. I dont even think it is possible. Blazing Onion will always, always be "The Best Burger I Ever Had" hands down. I will eat here forever after!

I made my first trip to Blazing Onion yesterday, and I was very satisfied! Although most of the reviews are good, there are a few negatives, so I decided to check the place out at least once for myself. The "order in the lobby" concept is okay. I like to get my food and then be left alone, without a waiter buzzing around the table. The only negative is that I can see people getting stuck behind indecisive slowpokes who take forever to decide. Common courtesy would dictate stepping back while you decide to let other people order. I came in knowing what I wanted, and it worked well. Beware that if you are waiting for an order to go, the small lobby area can get VERY crowded in no time, which is uncomfortable for people who who like a little bit of personal space. The trick is order quickly and wait in the bar. I read one review claiming that the burger patties were very small. As a precaution, I ordered the XL to make sure I got enough beef. Let me tell you that the patties are ALL of 1/3 pound. They are not overly thick, but wide, and cover all of the bun (which is how it should be). 2/3 pound of beef easily overwhelmed the rest of the burger, so I took the second patty out, cut it up, and dipped in in the BOB sauce. The one patty left on the burger was perfect. The toppings were top quality, and the bun tasted really fresh, unique, and flavorful. The fries were good also. The only thing that didn't impress is the BOB sauce. I don't understand what the fuss is. It's just okay, and tastes like a blend of ketchup, mayonaise, and water. Most impressive were the interesting burger creations. I want to go back and try every one at some point. True, $9 and up IS expensive for a burger, but if my experience is any indication, they're great and worth it from time to time for a treat. I don't believe most people make it an everyday thing. I really don't care about waited on. It's all about the food for me, which is why it all worked. People who feel the need to be waited on to justify their bill can sit in the bar and get full service. Also impressive are the other selections on the menu, some items you don't see in most places. I will be back for sure!

Anytime I am asked to pay for my meal BEFORE I see it or eat it, I am suspicious. That's how Blazing Onion works. Kind of like a cafeteria that charges $15 a plate. Went here with the family and won't be back. It's basically a Sizzler clone. The waitstaff has one job: carry your food from the kitchen to your table. So don't expect an actual skilled waiter or waitress...think more like fast food service with restaurant prices. The atmosphere was more like a bar than a restaurant. Lots of good ol' boys shouting at the multiple TV's. A bit too much beer flowing for me to feel comfortable with little kids at the table.

cleanliness=4 service=5 food=3 price=2 beer selection=4 atmosphere=4 I enjoyed my short drive to Snohomish for something different and new to me, just dont follow Google Maps to find this place as there wrong directions! i think its Google's first FAIL! i ordered a turkey burger, spicy....it was good. I can have something very similar for less than 9 dollars 50. I find the most disturbing thing here was price and i know Red Robin is priced about the same and so is Applebee's but those places are not good money values either. The sweet potatoes fries are good, but i have had better in the Midwest and have made better. their downside is the saltyness, they were very salty. I did speak to a server and she said they salt them in house and i can ask for no salt next time. She also made a comment about BO still working out the recipe, hmmm...you think they would have it sorted by now :) i am sure she was just telling me what i wanted to hear anyways... :) would i come back? of course! i am going to try some other burger next time as i thought the processed turkey burger was just ok. They do have like 7 million 258 thousand 211 burgers to choose from and a great beer selection for a chain restaurant. you should give them a try, especially since its part of Snohomish's new up and coming side of the town. p.s.... they are crossdresser friendly....just ask the guy who is not doing well at hiding his very butch tattoo and cant understand that ladies, even in crossdress should not have their legs spread to see their tightie whities....ohhhh..maybe he was hitting on me...hotttttttttttt!

Order right when you walk in w/ a good selection of burgers, salads, choice of fry/ sweet potato fry/ onion ring. The prime rib dip is excellent! And free wi fi and self serve sodas. All the waitstaff work together so you put up a sign when you need some thing. A little loud since it's open dining room and TVs always have sports on (rolls eyes). Still good place for kids/ families, they do have a separate bar section.

If I HAD to pick something that I don't like, I'd say that I don't like the way that you order. It has a cafeteria feel, until you sit down. But, it's our new favorite burger place. The jalapeno poppers are amazing, not at all like anywhere I have been. The burgers are great, hot and fresh! They have a new soda machine which is really cool too. Eat there, you won't be disappointed.

All I can say is WOW ! If you are in to gourmet burgers and a full belly, this is a great stop. We've enjoyed the fare twice and were not disappointed either time. The buffalo burger is fantastic, the fish is great and the shakes enough for 3...I even found the onion rings a great addition to our meal (most places have very poor examples of a real ring). The wait staff is attentive, you don't have an assigned wait person, just turn the sign on your table and anyone in the vicinty will take care of your needs right away. Both visits though we were unfortunate enough to come when it was quite busy so finding a table can be an adventure in itself. The food is well worth the gourmet price. One of our favorite stops.

This was my first time visiting. I really liked how when you first walk in you get a great atmosphere. I also liked the fact that you order first and then seat yourself. The menu is IMPRESSIVE. I couldn't figure out which one to choose they all sounded amazing! I ended up getting the California Bacon Burger and my boyfriend got the XXXL Blazing Buffalo Burger. The self serve soda machine is super cool. Its a computerized touch screen. Very fun. Seating was good. Lots of tables open. The noise level was totally fine, not too loud at all. Once sitting at the table there is a plastic stop sign that you put up if you need anything and any server in the place will stop and help you which is pretty cool. We got our food super fast and it was DELICIOUS!!! I am a very picky burger eater and I LOVED my burger. Perfectly cooked bacon and the guacamole was so fresh and creamy. The fries were fantastic and we actually got a few refills. My boyfriend really enjoyed his burger but because it was 6 half pound patties he wasn't able to physically eat it all. The waitresses were all super nice and all the customers seemed to be enjoying themselves. I was very impressed with this place and will be back very soon to try another yummy burger!!

Stopped in there last weekend, not expecting more than just a run of the mill burger.....man, was I wrong! I ordered the Texas Heat burger with onion rings, it was beyond delectable! It was nothing like a regular restaurant burger, it was like someone took it off the grill in the backyard. SOOOO good! I have been thinking about it ever since and am planning another visit this weekend. Their desserts also look phenomenal, but the burgers are so filling there was no way I could have indulged! Very pleasant and nice staff, as well.

I was a fan of the "Blazing Onion" before today. Stay away from LINDSEY, she is the worst server ever. She completely messed up our order multiple times and didn't even apologize. We asked her for dipping sauce multiple times and finally had to walk up to the counter to get it. She rolled her eyes and said,"Ya so I forgot a sauce." One of my friends left early and overheard her talking about us to her manager saying ,"Ya like I would ever hook them up." Who knew that decent service was considered a "hookup" lol Apparently to her it is. Needless to say we won't be back because of her.

So my burger was delish! I got the BOB (aka Blazing Onion Burger). My husband and I actually shared it... for $2.99 you can add on 2 patties so we just shared... way cheaper than buying 2 burgers! I love that you can mix your fries... you can get a fry and sweet potato fry mix, or a fry and onion ring mix or a sweet tater fry and onion ring mix... i love options! Try the BOB sauce...mmmm. Service is kinda what you'd expect from local teenagers... way to eager to please but far from perfect. The "help light" on the patio that you have to get up to flip when you need service though is a JOKE. Can't you just come outside once and a while and tend to your customers? That is really my only gripe. I will be back fo show!

we've eaten here on numberous occasions, now and i'm beginning to LOVE this place. since i shop fairly regularly at fredy's [fred meyer] and it's in the same parking lot [along with kohl's, home depot, starbucks and a dozen or so other merchants] it's easy to just pop over to the blazing onion after shopping for groceries! my absolute favourite is the thai peanut chicken burger. and i ABSOLUTELY adore the sweet potato fries. every so often i will order an extra order of those fries to go. we sit in the lounge area and get excellent service. no reservations are needed in advance.

Decided to Head here for dinner to try there xl burger..after doing the 12 egg omelet at Beths I'm always up for a good food challenge..the place had a fun atmosphere with football on 4 different tv's as u would expect in any good bar..they offered a good variety of beers on tap which I'm always a fan of..I settled on the moose droll ale figured it would sit nice with a big greasy burger..I ordered there bacon cheeseburger in the 3xl version..soo basically were talking bun patty cheese patty cheese bun patty cheese patty cheese bun patty cheese patty cheese bacon bun..ya basically a heart attack awaiting..the burger was delicious as it sounds my only wish was that there was more bacon to split up the beef flavor..after finishing the burger I never really had a chance to enjoy there endless fries but the few i tried were also tasty..I will definitely be going back but not doing the 3xl again..that was a once in a time thing and can end up costing a pretty penny for a long lasting belly ache..overall loved it and will be back..

Nice change of pace over red robin. Has some interesting takes on burgers. Nice selection of sides for your burgers, you don't have to just go with fries. Staff is friendly and helpful, prices are good, place is clean, and they clear tables fast. Overall a great place to hang, watch TV and enjoy good burgers.

super happy random find. My roommate and I were starving one day and as we exited the home depot, saw BOB's burger on the other side of the lot and thought we'd give it a try. I must let you know first that I have not eaten red meat in over 15 years, but prior to BOB's, enjoyed an occasional (1 or 2 times a year) turkey burger. I was excited to see that BOBs has turkey burgers and decided to try one. It blew my mind. The blazing onion burger has become one of my most frightening addictions. Since that fateful day about 6 months ago, my boyfriend and I (who is one of the most carnivorous men I know) have gone almost every weekend. Though they are not full service, if you put your 'attention' flag up, they will almost always be ready to help you within seconds. My orders have always been taken accurately, the servers are always friendly. I love this place! Great burgers, great beer, great desserts, fun atmosphere. I also like that they always seem to have fun 'get-togethers' and special 'insider' deals (if you join the facebook fan page) I'd definitely recommend this restaurant to anyone!

My husband Buddy and I have been dieting. He for high blood pressure and me to fit into my pants. The other night we were in bed by 9 pm and Buddy was dozing and watching TV. He bolted upright and said I am hungry. I was too. We dug through the clothes on the floor and hit the road for a Blazing Burger. You could hit the B Onion from our driveway with a 9 iron, so off we went., We split a big ole fatty Texas Heat burger. It was like making love for the first time. Exciting, warm, messy and satisfying. The O rings weren't bad either. The bar service was great, Anthony and Ashlee were good to us. Great place to relax and eat a good burger.

If you are shopping at Home Depot or Fred Meyer and you are starving then go ahead and give it a try. It is just that ok, we gave them a try, twice. The buns, are greasy top and bottom through and through. Just can't get past that. The fish is the same fish that is the fish and chips as is on the fish burger. The Vegetarian burger is just like the morning star sante fe burger, so kinda mushy with a Mexican flair. It is Buzz inn style to order, get in line - get a #- fill your drink, hurry to get a good seat. Wait, get served. Eat. (I was lucky enough to dine with the hubby so the conversation was good while we waited) They do have a nifty idea with the "stop" signs on the table if ya need something you post it on your table and they come over.

I always had a internal competition going on between Fuddruckers and Red Robin on who had the best choices of burgers...Blazing Onion has entered that race. They're varieties are amazing. Not to mention the amount of beers they have on tap for a burger joint. The service was a little shaky, our waitress was too busy flirting with the guys behind us...so we sat in the bar the last time and it was better. It's a keeper, plus I can walk from my parents house, amazing.

Ate at the Snohomish one of these tonite. Well, ordered Guiness and it didn't taste like any Guiness either my husband or I had every had. It tasted like a mix of water and....Guiness - maybe? Sent it back with an explanation from the server that maybe it was the top their keg? She didn't bring another one to us, instead substituting Mac & Jac. Hmm......about the same thing........watered. I would NOT order any alcohol from this place as I think you're getting 1/2 water. Fries were soooooo very salty, I had to ask for plain ones. My husband took one bite of them and choked. Service? Not really that great. Won't be going back.

Why go to the Buzz inn style ordering for burgers ? Because they sponsored my sons baseball team. Not impressed. That was 2 years ago ..SO we keep hearing "you don't like the blazon Onion? . So we gave it one more try. I don't like shady ordering "would you like sweet potato fries ?" sure ..Didn't tell me $1.20 upgrade and the whole family wanted to try it and I made my Turkey burger spicy for a surprise $1.00 more(yeah its on the board but don't have time to read because the people behind you waiting) . Since day one, we've been impressed with the food, cleanliness and service...yes there are young workers but they are overseen by management, who always come by our table and do a quality check. We have eaten in the dining room with our child, and in the bar for little dates. Our favorite so far is the pastrami rueben! They will split for no charge, and never charge for sides of tarter, ranch, etc. Fries are refillable, and they are awesomely seasoned. The kid's mini burgers are also good. The cozy bar has many nicely placed flat screens for watching sports, and the beer is icy cold, never flat. The chili fries are delicious, maybe not swim-suit friendly-ya think? Customer service is important to the owners and management, which is something hard to find. Yes it seems a bit spendy at first, until you realize it is a lot of food-we like to go for "Linner" (lunch and dinner combined). Also the location is great, in the really nice new shopping center-we like to go grocery shopping at Freddy's for the week, and hit Bridge's for pet things.

Been here over 10 times. Food is good. Staff friendly. Waiting in line to order behind indecisive people sucks.

This place is bomb. Not a disappointing burger on the menu. Not the cheapest place, but if that's not a factor to you than this is the place to go. Prompt service, fancy ass drink machine and nothin but the best of burgers (with bottomless fries of course). Check it out if ya got the spare change.

Somewhat efficient ordering system. Burgers are interesting. Not sure what the deal was, just didn't resonate will with me. Maybe the price, the beer selection, the.....

I will be back for sure!

cleanliness=4 service=5 food=3 price=2 beer selection=4 atmosphere=4 I enjoyed my short drive to Snohomish for something different and new to me, just dont follow Google Maps to find this place as there wrong directions! i think its Google's first FAIL! i ordered a turkey burger, spicy....it was good.

What a great place with great food and service. Endless fries and very reasonable prices for the awesome burgers. You will not be disappointed. The only problem with be the crowds you'll have to wait for.

The only way worth going here, is if you sit in the bar, then you get a waitress. Can you imagine someone thinking a serve yourself for an overpriced burger was a good idea? Fail.

The food was good but service was absolutely the worst. We watched our waitress take orders from three different tables seated after us. Then I had to ask another waitress to help us. It was the worst service I had ever got in a restaurant.

Ever. NOT!

Odd.

    (5)
  • Michael D.

It's loud and overpriced. I had to tell the kid 4 times that our order was to go. After all that, the didn't get my entire order. I had to ask her to complete it. They didn't include utensils...

The service was excellent, food was good and beer was cold. First time here was has a cool concept, walk in and order like a fast food joint but has quality and service of a sit down place. Would come back again.

  • Darin L.

    (2)

    (4)
  • Stacy B.

Will definitely be going back!

super happy random find.

Its like a wireless phone bill ."SURPRISE". and what in the Heck is a macaroni wedge ? kids threw away .No way it was made correct....NO MORE .Then last Wednesday around 3 :00 (happy hour) grandparents have kids and the wife says I'm at Fred Meyers and I say I'm Hungry .we look at the Blazing Onion. They cant screw up a Beer? lets go......................Guess what ?The bar is a real sit down THEN order place like normal... Really. We sat down and had 2 Shocktops in cold glass's and then a artichoke dip / chips and mini burgers recommended by are nice Bartender Misty ( who was more than friendly and help full) and it was all good 4 star for That visit .... will give them 1 more chance but not on top of list if with kids
