Pretty good all-you-can-eat Korean BBQ joint by the house! Located in Shoreline, the restaurant itself is pretty modest, but plenty big enough to handle a lot of people. They have a regular seating area on the left side of the restaurant when you walk in, or the BBQ grill tables on the right. We opted for the grill, as we wanted to try the AYCE. We ordered the #2 option and were happy with what we received. All of your typical Korean side dishes and the meat consisted of pork belly, a few beef options, chicken, and pork. We left stuffed and happy. We'll be back. Unfortunately, our range hood was out of order so the inside of the restaurant got pretty smokey and hot. We looked past that as the food was tasty and service was good!

I am a huge fan of all you can eat Korean BBQ and I usually go the joints in Federal Way (Palace, Kum Kang Sang, Shin Sung, etc.). I was in Northgate and didn't want to drive all the way south to satisfy my cravings so I found a couple places in Shoreline. This was the first place that popped up on my yelp search so I decided to try it. PROS: Ambiance: Nothing too fancy. Plain, simple and clean. Smaller establishment. Very quite. When we arrived on a Sunday night, there were only two other groups dining there (that should have been a clue). Price: The all you can eat menu has three selections depending on what type of meat you want. Prices range from $19.99 to $29.99. Service: Average service. Since it wasn't so busy, everyone was pretty attentive. We got our refills on the side orders pretty quickly. CONS: Food: Sad to say I was very disappointed. We ordered the #2 all you can eat choice which consists of pork belly, marinated beef, marinated pork, marinated chicken and beef brisket. The order came with a variety of side dishes, jasmine rice, dipping sauces and soup. The soup was actually pretty decent. Great flavor, steaming hot with the right amount of spices where it wasn't too spicy. All the sides were decent. Less sides than all the other restaurants that I have been to. The Kim chi was a little in the sweet side. However, the cucumber salad was very refreshing. All the meat were mediocre at best. The marinated beef was very tender but overly sweet. The chicken was marinated in teriyaki seasonings. The first few bites were good but after a few more bites it got way too sweet. The marinated pork is usually my favorite item but there's was less than mediocre. The pork was drenched with seasoning paste and it was over spiced. All I tasted was paste. TIP: All you can eat is good for only 2 hours. Overall, everything was overly sweet. I'll probably stick to Federal Way for some food KBBQ.

Grill King? More like Grill Loser! I only gave it a 2 star because the server was fabulous. Prices : There's 3 different levels so don't go in here thinking everything will be for $19.99. Meat: We got the $24.99 and let me tell you quality was crap. Not that much flavor and the cut is terrible. Our pork belly shrank to the size of my thumb. Everything tasted blend! It was extra charge for even the jalapeños and garlic. I'm used to getting that for free at every other k bbq place. I'm never coming back. Don't waste your time. Go to Lynwood or Palace in Bellevue if you crave all you can eat.

Food is good and people are friendly. However, the restaurant looks dark and out of date.

I was a big fan, but not anymore. The two-stars is for Jenny, the usual waitress that helps us. This place has gone downhill. They increased the prices, give you less meat, and make you order all the meats. The owner made a complaint that we only pick pork belly and brisket because those were the expensive meat. We don't like the marinated meats and we don't want to waste the chicken. Also, it's all-you-can-eat, so don't complain when we ask for more. It used to be the best KBBQ AYCE in Seattle, now it's the worst. Thanks for being the only redeeming quality of this restaurant, Jenny.

So their price on the website is NOT what the menu reflects. The price on the website is 18.99. Their menu shows three different price tiers depending on the type if meat you order for the all you can eat. Totally misleading just so they can bring people in for meat sweats. Granted it is only a dollar difference between what it says on the website and the first option, but they're pretty much lying to bring people in. EDIT: The meat was overcooked. Ha, just kidding, I overcooked the meat because my boyfriend and I went for the AYCE BBQ. Our server, Jenny, was a sweetheart. The only reason why this place got any stars was because the food was delicious and Jenny was very nice. The whole price thing ruined the experience. We went for the first choice of BBQ which only gave us three choices of meat. The AYCE experience I"ve had in the past had quite a bit of selection, so this wasn't as fun. Will be trying Arirang when we no longer have meat sweats.

My sister knows the owner of this place and never fails to comment about how she used to eat here 3 times a week when she was preggo! Seriously though, it's that good! You can never go wrong with Korean BBQ & this place does Korea great justice when it comes to food. Interior design wise.. it looks a little bit rundown but the atmosphere is chill and I'm always okay with chill. Plus, I love how it's a 3 minute drive from our place. Sundubu is a must have for us all the time. The proportions are a good amount for the price. I believe they always close at ten. Not sure, but if you plan on self bbq'ing your food, you need to be there at at least 8:30, not 9.

As much as it pains me to say this, the Grill King is a solidly 3-star place if you are really craving KBBQ. I came here on Valentine's Day with my sister and her husband, so needless to say I was not looking for any romantic vibes from a restaurant that night. Have no fear, the Grill King certainly hit the mark on that front. The place was about half full but for some reason they put us at a table that did not have a built-in burner, despite the fact that we were doing AYCE. Not sure if it was because we were white? It took FOREVER for us to get our drinks, which was really annoying since we werre super thirsty. In fact, we didn't actually get our drinks until after they started us out on our food. The banchan were okay, but gave us really small portions the first and second time. Finally, the last time we asked for more, they gave us larger portions. Maybe they thought we wouldn't like them so didn't want to waste the food on us? We went with the middle option for AYCE, which was chicken, pork pelly, marinated pork, beef, and maybe one other thing. They gave us a ton of pork belly, probably about half of the meat. This was a little annoying since my sister doesn't eat pork so it was just 2 of us trying to get through it. Plus, it is super fatty and I don't want to be stuck eating my weight in pork fat. They won't give you more meat until you finish everything, even if you just want some more chicken. Really annoying. Overall, we all left full, but not exactly satisfied. Maybe I am spoiled living on the East Coast near an enclave of tons of amazing Korean options, but I was just not that impressed with the Grill King.

I haven't had Korean Barbecue ever since I left Korea for university in US. Never thought I would find an authentic place with a reasonable price around Seattle. Get the all you can eat option and its worth what you are paying for. You will get a selection of quality meat which includes Korean style marinated pork, chicken, beef, bacon and many more depending on the set menu you are paying for. With the addition of a few bucks you can get the llettuce, chilli, garlic, bean paste and much more for the full Korean experience. All be sure to wear something you don't mind getting the smell of the food on. It's a barbecue place so just keep that in mind :)

The food is delicious. I don't mind paying a little extra for good food. I would rate the food 4 stars but the service is why I rated only 2. She questioned me several times about the prices on each dish to make sure I was willing to pay. She only came around once to check on us and when I asked for extra napkins she took forever because she was chatting it up with another employee. When it came time to pay and tip I left her a very small tip and left. She followed us out of the restaurant and told us to cross off our tip because she didn't want to accept something so small.

The amount of food was definitely worth the price for the All You Can Eat. Our waitresses were fairly attentive. They brought out additional sides, as well.

I was recently on a mission to introduce the BF to KBBQ and thought an All-You-Can-Eat place would show him the ropes. I'm Korean and rarely seek out All-You-Can-Eat KBBQ places (I think this is normal...?) so I had to do a lot of research. With that being said, I obviously wanted to leave a good impression but didn't want to venture too far (AKA not Lynnwood or Federal Way), so The Grill King was a decent compromise. I will admit the reviews sketched me out a little, but most worries were put to rest upon our dining experience. We ordered the #2--$18.99 per person (Pork Belly, Thin Brisket, Beef Bulgogi, Spicy Pork Bulgogi, Marinated Chicken) since we were looking for variety. The meat quality wasn't rave-worthy (pork belly was thin) but perfectly acceptable, especially for All-You-Can-Eat. The side dishes were also fine--you get quite a bit, and the kimchi was of the fresh/salad-esque/non-fermented variety which is a plus for me. Our waitress was super attentive and regularly checked in with us, asking us if we needed more meat, side dishes, etc., which was awesome since that kind of service is unheard of at Korean restaurants. The few things that bummed me out were the metal electric grill (they're usually over charcoal or cast iron) that stuck to the meat a bit and there was no salad/veggies to wrap the meat :(

Poor service, subpar meats, and ventiliation in the place cannot but upto to standard safety codes. The entire restaurant was filled with smoke and the vents didnt do anything to reduce that. Everytime we order new meat for the ayce, waitress would only bring out a few pieces at a time, when i askd if we can get more, her response was "we can only give out this much at a time, just like any other kbbq restaurants". Ive been to many places and this was the only place ive been to that i felt i was being controlled how much meat we are allow to get in an ayce restaurant. I rather go to palace or kum kang sang for better quality and service.

5 star service, 3 star food. We ordered the $30 ayce and found the meat quality to be good but flavour wise, Cham in Tacoma wins hands down. Nevertheless, I would go back to hang out with the friendly server.

Best Korean bbq ever ever!! Traditional Korean bbq, the same as what I had in Korea :) No more words for food, it's just super delicious and enough amount and worthy that money :) Like the people there, I'll promise the waitress that I'll come back^^

  • Jen L.

We opted for the $18.99 option which is meat, no seafood. It was pretty good. I love the option of cooking my own food. The marination of the meat was delicious. Its not charcoal. The service was fantastic as there were only 2 other tables filled on a Sunday night. The sides were also very good. I liked the sprouts, cucumbers, pickled radish, and Kim chi. The Soju was fantastic. The environment: 1-2 stars. The tile floor is extremely slippery from the oils. That's so dangerous for a restaurant. And the ceiling was leaking and building from rain. Tables really only seat 4. We had 6 people and it was too cramped. The people on the end couldn't reach the grill.

I will never want to come back to this place again never ever. I went there last week and the service the blow me away. Reason I said that is because I ask for a kinchi tofu soup and they give me the beef one; I ask for a change and the lady just ask me to deal with it since the food has already got deliver to me. This isn't the worse part the part is I finish my appetizer and water for a long time, and i ask for refilled for many times as well. Turns out they didn't do it until my food is almost finish. This totally made me feel like they don't want to help their costumer at all. I'm very upset and never feel like going back again.

Jenny is our favorite! Prices have gone up, but still definitely worth it! People are saying the meat is bland, but that's what the dipping sauces are for. Brown sauce is really good! We have become regulars because jenny is the sweetest and she takes really good care of us.

  • Norma H.

Meat seasonings were fine. Portions were ridiculously small and staff not very attentive. No lettuce leaves if your expecting that. you have to ask for every little thing including water! I felt like we were imposing on them rather than being a paying guest. Waitress would leave you while you were in mid sentence. To top it all of all of a sudden our non existent waitress decided to be friendly when it was tip time and say " you are planning on leaving me a tip aren't you?" Never in my life have we experienced that!,,, and never will we go there again

First time I've been to a Korean bbq joint, I went with some friends. I'll start with service, we hardly got any for being the only people in there at 7pm, the menu was different than online, the meat also left a lot to desire, we liked one meat and we're told that we cannot get refills of the only one we liked. So that seemed like an odd rule. Overall I'd say I'm not much for Korean bbq, however my friend who went said this was by far the worst one he has ever been to.

I was mainly looking for an All You Can Eat place and this was quite disappointing. The spicy pork was covered w spicy power and I literally felt like the cinnamon challenge when I ate it. We got option B which was also disappointing since it did not include Kalbi. I mean if I really wanted kalbi I could have paid $25.99 for it but I just didn't feel like paying $25.99 for lunch. Ban chan was super bland and it was obvious that it was not marinated for a long time. I personally wouldn't go back.

I've been here a couple of times for the all you can eat KBBQ and have thoroughly enjoyed both meals. The meat is seasoned pretty well and the sides are great. The meat selection isn't as large as other KBBQs in Seattle, but they have the basics. It would also be nice if they could add a salad or some lettuce like some other KBBQs in Seattle do. The staff is friendly and helpful. It's a smaller restaurant, but groups of 8 or less have worked out well.

I'm a sad panda! Came here a couple weeks back, because I was craving korean bbq, after a trip to New Orleans (eating fried foods and drinking alcohol 24/7, 6 days straight. I needed rice and yummy meat in my body!). But, was fairly disappointed by how everything tasted. I felt that it wasn't the same as it was a year ago (although, I heard that owners changed?), but everything seemed so plain, meat not as fresh, and no lettuce (to wrap your goodies in). They did provide small dishes and a ordinary tofu soup, but I wasn't impressed, for almost a $40 tab. Service was consistent, although I did have to ask for water/tea refills a couple of times. As a result, this place used to be my go-to korean bbq place since we live 10 minutes away... but after having that meal..I'm reconsidering Arirang instead (or any other kbbq place out in Lynnwood).

So, we came after 9pm, which means that apparently they do not allow you to do all you can eat. We were ignored for about 20 minutes, and when we eventually ordered we got the beef bulgogi (19.99) and the the kalbi beef short ribs (22.99). Their dinner portions are seriously laughable. We got 6 slices of razor thin short ribs and a handful or two of bulgogi. It was maybe a pound and a half of meat. The banchan were not so good (pasta salad and potatoes?), and the soup that came as a side was downright inedible. My boyfriend and I left hungry after a $55 bill with the distinct impression that I had been seriously ripped off. Perhaps the all you can eat is worth it, but if you're stuck ordering off the menu? You're better off going....anywhere else. Anywhere at all.

When we requested our meat pan to be changed because of the black residues the man was grumpy about it. To finish it off, when my brother asked for a bowl of rice, the waitress came out with a bowl that has been already split for a different customer. The rice was hardened and dry. Never going back.

A buddy and I decided to stop by to grab some grub to eat on this past Tuesday. We decided to get the all you can eat for $25 each. Came with the pork belly, chicken, brisket, marinated beef, and the spicy pork. Food was great! I liked the dipping sauces and the service was fantastic as well. Would come again.

Paid another visit to this place with my client this evening because he wanted to have some korean soup. He ordered the Tofu soup with beef with mild spicy. That was just okay. It was a bit bland for my tastebud. I had the Jab chae. That was delicious!!! Very flavorful. Would definately order that again. Service was excellent..as always. One lady kept checking on us to see if we needed anything. She also helped my client cool his soup down a bit. =D

I haven't been here for awhile and I finally decided to come back because I personally believed this was the best KBBQ joint in town. Boy, things have really changed. Note: We went with the $18.99 Korean BBQ per person. Prior to the change in menu, they used to bring out a huge platter of all sorts of meats that were piled on a plate (check photos from Yelpers). When our plate of meat came, the plate was significantly smaller and the plate was not filled up. I know I sound like a hungry, entitled cow, but I've gone to numerous KBBQ joints to know that the portion of meat we got was sincerely laughable. There was half a handful of bulgogi, one long chicken breast, and a sprinkle of the other smaller meats. I was pretty blown away because there was more empty space on that plate than the whole universe of spaces and different dimensions combined. They also cut back on the banchans. We got about 4-5 little banchans, including 4 pieces of potato, a spoonful of pasta potato salad, slices of kimchi, and some cucumbers. The waitress set these banchans on the table for us and 15 seconds later, the owner came by and started lecturing us to not put the little plates so close to the grill or they'll melt - uh, sorry, we didn't place those. We received our fermented soy soup, but no egg soup (usually all kbbq bring these out). What? They're on a skimping roll here. What was also disappointing was the grill. It was nowhere hot. We had our meat sitting in warm heat for 15-20 min (bacon took forever). We made sure the gas was on the highest setting. A waitress even came by and said it will take awhile for it to heat up. Another waitress thought we had just changed the grill so it would take time to heat up. We were there for roughly an hour and you'd think the grill would at least sizzle by then... Pretty disappointed in the major change. I don't think I'll be back.

Worse place ever. For the buffet, You have to finish the food they force upon you before they will get you more, You can't pick what you want like other korean buffet place. More expensive than any other korean bbq place, the worst customer service if you want it your way.

    (1)
  • Darlene K.

Sevice was great and meat selection was good. However, the side dishes weren't as good as some of the Korean BBQ spots we've been too. Also, I think the squid we had was old because my hubby felt sick after :(.

  • Chris O.

After 2 visits here, I give this my seal of all-you-can-eat-KBBQ approval. $15 all you can eat, 2 hour time limit, and all your typical KBBQ meats and banchan. For that price, it's very hard to beat and the time limit is more than enough time to do some damage. If anything, service can get kind of slow and they did cut back on the portions with each order we placed (less Kalbi, which is what I wanted most!).

    (4)
  • Marie L.

Definitely do not recommend. Horrible service, rude Asian ladies who dont even come by or greet you and pretty much try to avoid your table. They dont even have a good variety! They dont give you a new plate after you have finished your meat for all you can eat. Are you kidding me? Do not go here!

$18.99 all u can eat for 2 hours lol!!!!! And only 2 hours, then they kick you out, haha. I came here on a weekday and was craving for Korean by the Fremont area. I usually go to Federal Way but I found this place closer. I was so excited. I came in, and it was empty. Hmm, I hope it's good food. My cousin and I get the 18.99 buffet for all you can eat meats: beef and spicy pork bulgogi, cow brisket, tongue, short ribs, and tender meat. Everything I say, was great, however, the spicy bulgogi was on point with the short ribs and tender marinated meat. the rest were okay, kinda plain. I thought they were a bit shiesty/greedy with the short ribs. Every time we asked for more, we only got 2 pieces. I was disappointed. When we waited for our meat, they also gave us sides (banchan). I loved it! The kimchi was delicious with the pickled cucumber, pickled jicama, and other korean sides. I thought it was very fresh, and tasted great. However, the soup they gave us was alright. Kinda of plain. The sauces they gave us with the meat wasn't bad at all. One was a soy sauce type and another was an oil base with salt I think. I liked both. I wish they gave the fermented soy bean paste though. That would've been great. Overall, they have okay service. They're nice and friendly. Just know that they are very limited when giving you meats. I can't believe I only got 2 short ribs when i asked for more. The spicy pork was so good though. I think overall, this place is good. I want to come for lunch b/c their food sounds great. I think I may return, but I wouldn't pay 18.99 for all you can eat, because it's not worth it.

Fix your BBQ grill!! They seated us to a booth and brought a portable grill with an iron plate on the top...something you would use at the camp. They said that their electric grill was broken. Paying $20 to $30 and using such a crappy device for BBQ is a totally waste of money. They didn't get us seated to a table where you can use usual BBQ grill since we were a group of less than six people. I understand that if it was a busy weekday, but there were plenty of empty tables on Wednesday. Why would they do that? Don't want to clean the grill for a small number group? Save the gas fee? Bad customer service.

Tried this place out for the first time tonight. We are moving to the area and a good korean BBQ place is a must for us! This place didn't disappoint even though it only got 3.5 stars! It was clean and our waitress was nice. Only thing I didn't like is that they only sell soda in cans. Which means no refills. But, other than that we loved it and will be back.

  • Magdalena B.

They have beef tongue!! The meat are all good. But , it's kinda expensive here. They have annoying policy about the price per person. And also the place is small and also the size of the pan to cook the meat.

  • Fiona K.

The Worst Korean BBQ. First, it's not a real buffet. And you cannot order what you want. They put different kind of meat in a pan, everytime you want more, they will give you all kinds of meat again. Second, the meat is not fresh. And the flavor is not good! They do not even have BBQ sauce, they use vinigur instead. Last, bad service. They will blame you if you didn't eat all of the meat. We only left 2 chicken........

$18.99 for AYCE KBBQ? Count me in! On days when I want to eat as much KBBQ as I want without breaking the bank, this is the place to go. I've only been here a couple times and so far I haven't had any negative experiences. The restaurant is separated where one section has the tables with grills along with the vents overhead. The other side of the restaurant has just the tables and grills with no vents. I personally prefer eating with the vents so that my clothes don't reek when I leave the restaurant, so keep that in mind! The selection of meat and banchan are decent. They have samgyupsal (pork belly), kalbi (beef short ribs), bulgogi, spicy pork bulgogi, beef tongue, marinated chicken, and maybe a few other beef cuts I can't remember. Their poached egg soup is also really good, but my friend and I each ordered one when it was actually big enough to split just one. Like most Korean restaurants, you will sometimes have to flag down the ladies for service, so that was something I already expected here which didn't bother me too much. I was quite happy (so was my belly) that the bill was still under $30 for each person which is a really good deal for the amount of food they give you. This is my favorite KBBQ place just north of Seattle!

If I could, I would give this place negative stars. DO NOT EAT HERE. 2 employees were cleaning near our table behind a booth and when they walked by us with a box and broom, a huge RAT jumped out and ran to the office or kitchen (I screeched and couldnt look after it jumped). EW. My husband told the waitress we were leaving because of what happened, it didnt even phase her. There wasn't 1 apology given like it happens frequently! ugh, yuck.

This is my new favorite go-to Korean spot. I can't wait to come back and try their $15.95 all you can eat Korean buffet. Granted, they limit you to two hours of feasting but how much time do you really need? There aren't that many tables in the restaurant so large groups may be difficult. Service is exceptional - they were really good about checking in on us, refilling our tea, bringing us more banchan. It was awesome - much better than the surrounding Korean joints that I've been to. Banchan is so important to me when I'm eating Korean so the fact that they were so attentive was perfect! I can't wait to come back and try their BBQ!!!

This used to be our go to place for Korean BBQ only because it's less expensive than other places, has a good variety of sides and the meat is of reasonable quality. However, the service there has always been the worst of any of the numerous Korean restaurants on Aurora. There were meals we didn't see the waitress at all for 30 or more minutes. Sometimes after finishing a plate we would wait for 10 or 15 minutes before the waitress would even be available to request the next plate. Also, the floor was always extremely greasy. What finally broke us of this place was showing up an hour and 15 minutes before closing time and being told they wouldn't serve us, though there were customers eating in the restaurant. I pointed to the sign on the door that clearly indicates we were well before closing time and got only a shrug and blank state in response. Grill King you lost our business.

What kind of Asian am I for not eating tons of Korean Barbeque before?? I'm a bad Asian. That's what. I went here for the first time and was impressed. Simple decor, big spaces, didn't smell like grease and the waitress was super friendly too. (Service to me is very important wherever I go... So thank you!) We sat down in a booth on the opposite side without the fan, but it was just as nice. I was surprised that there was so many people there on Tuesday night. But I kind of understand why now. They have... ALL YOU CAN EAT here for $18.99! Plus other dishes too if you didn't want just all you can eat. I neglected to eat lunch.. well, wait. Let me rephrase that. I had a small veggie dish for lunch just to save my appetite. (Felt like nothing. Haha) But of course they have the beef and pork, and then tons of different side dishes to go all out on. Then after we ordered the beef and pork, we got the marinated meats, kalbi, spicy bulgogi etc. Yeah. It was awesome. I was full. Happy full. But nonetheless... full. I don't have anything bad to say about this place. Service was great! Food was great! So I definitely will be back with the crew. Chiko's Tip: Bring your eating pants! ;)

Lunch is good. The "All you can eat" dinner honestly sucks, this place needs some charcoal in there for cooking, that electric grill is whack, no thank u. I saw the table next to me order from the kitchen, they had some real food, not this bottom of the barrel leftover "all you can eat" BS. Sucked pretty bad.

We ordered option #2 AYCE (25$). Service was prompt and very friendly, an overall very pleasant experience. We had no problem getting more of only the meats and sides we wanted, unlike other reviews I have read.

Decided to check this place out for a lunch today. This is a great little lunch spot and I suspect it's good for dinner, too. We were greeted warmly when we first walked in and seated immediately. I looked over the menu and I was happy to see there were very reasonably priced lunch specials starting at $5.99 for the soon du bo or tofu soup. EXACTLY what I wanted today. There were some different options so I went for the beef soon du bo. Husband opted for the bulgogi. Our total bill was under $20 with tip. As is usual with Korean restaurants, you got an array of sides in these little bowls. There was kimchee, potato, macaroni, daikon/carrot, bean sprouts and two other things I can't remember. Anyway, it was a lot of food. My piping hot soup came in one of those clay pots and it was still boiling with the delicious egg on top. Husband's bulgogi also came on a sizzling plate. We did sit in the booth where you would normally have Korean BBQ. Seems like they have a nice set-up. I'll have to go back for some of that all you can eat.

We popped my friend's Korean BBQ cherry here and I think she was sold! The bf and I were in town visiting and were worried about crowds as it happened to be V-day. Our friend suggested this place and it was fantastic! We were seated right away (and people trickled in, as it got later). We opted for the all-you-can-stuff-yourself-with and were pleased with the selection of meat that we got: beef, pork, chicken beef tongue, pork belly, ribs and a few others. My friend had never had beef tongue before but she had no problem helping us devour all the tasty meats! The staff made sure our plates and grill runneth over, coming by frequently to see if we needed refills on the meat and side dishes. They were also really great about changing the grills every so often so that we didn't have to worry about some of the areas where we burnt some food. Call me ignorant, but who knew you could find Korean BBQ in Seattle!? So happy to see what a great foodie town it is! =)

Great service! I came here with a big group of friends for dinner. We had all you can eat Korean BBQ that is $15.95 per person. We had a reservation and were served very quickly with water, side dishes, and main dish. I agree with the other review that there is not really an ambiance at this restaurant but it is a good place to get some good and filling food. During our visit, the server was really nice and accommodating our needs. She constantly checks up on us to refill water, tea, side dishes, etc. I like this place. It is slightly tiny and crammed. But it is a good place to just have a nice and filling meal with friends.

*Raised pricing for AYCE to $18.99 :( Sad to see all these bad reviews for this place because my experience here was great! In comparison to other KBBQ places I've been to; this has been the best. My group of 3 actually received great, attentive service and got refills on our meats + banchans without having to track someone down (ex. palace in bellevue - F that place btw). I am not the type that grades meat intensely, but all our cuts from pork belly to beef tongue(pretty good LOL) to short ribs tasted great! All in all, $18.99 is a little pricey, but if you're coming here hungry as hell you will get your money's worth. =) We were satisfied with our visit and would return again!

I'm surprised I don't have a review for this place yet. Discovered it a few months ago and my boyfriend and I have become regulars ever since. They changed their all you can eat kbbq pricing. It used to be $19/person but now they have three options. The one we got was option 3. You get bulgogi, spicy bulgogi, pork belly, kalbi, chicken, cow tongue (sounds scary but it's good!), shrimp, squid, and brisket for $30/person. They also give you a soup and side dishes. Really expensive but it's all you can eat and if you get one plate of meat it's around $25. The lady that works here is so sweet and she's the only one serving tables so I feel like she's always overworked. She does her best to check up and is always very friendly. Never really see the owner working, I think he's more in the back. But just because of the price change, I'm not sure how often I'll be back unfortunately.

Dear Yelp, I am conflicted, and not quite sure what to do. My stomach is telling me to keep coming back, but my wallet is telling me to steer clear away. I used to be Grill King's #1 fan, I mean, for $15.95 for All You Can Eat Korean BBQ, who can complain? The quality was good for the money-- but obviously not top notch. I used to come regularly, maybe, once a month, sometimes more, sometimes less because ever since I swore off Secret Garden Korean BBQ down the street, Grill King became my new favorite. It was not only the cheapest Korean BBQ in the Puget Sound Area, but the meats were tasty and well marinated. Tonight however, I walk in during 6:30pm, regular dinner time, and the place was a bit quieter than a usual weekday night. I thought it was out of character, but put it out of my mind until I sat down and looked at the menu. And there it was, I saw the change. The price for the exact All You Can Eat KBBQ was now a whole $3.05 more expensive then it was two weeks ago. WHAT. THE. HELL. There must be some logical explanation for this right? I search the rest of the menu, maybe they added more items, maybe I'm reading it wrong. Nope. It was all there, clear as day. The only thing changed was the price to a whopping $18.99. Okay so I think, I've already sat down, and I was craving some meat, so how can I just get up and leave? Especially not after my favorite waitress comes over and explains that they just raised the prices the day before (5/15/12). I asked her if it was all the same meats etc, and she said yes, and that she was sad the price went up as well. Even she shared in my wallet's misery. So we stay, because heck, if it's our last meal in this joint, why not make it a good one right? Wrong. I thought I would be getting at least the same quality of meat I have always been getting when I come to Grill King, but I was sadly disappointed-- and no, I'm not just being bitter about the price increase. The giant mound of meat that is usually brought out? Well, that's reduced to 2 pieces of Kalbi, 6 rolls of brisket, 4 rolls of beef tongue, 1 giant piece of chicken, and a couple bunches of bulgolgi. They usually threw on mounds of brisket on the top (just look at the pics). & not only that but the brisket was so thin that all of the brisket on the plate combined equaled one regular slice of brisket. I don't know why, brisket is already a thin piece of meat to begin with, but I guess they decided to try and save on costs by making the pieces even smaller than they used to be. Sad. At this point, we are half way finished with our meal, and my boyfriend who LOOOVES rice (I call him rice bucket) asked for his normal 2nd bowl of rice. The waitress informs us that rice is no longer ALL YOU CAN EAT. It is now an extra $1.50 per bowl. WHAT THE. $1.50 for a bowl of rice at an ALL YOU CAN EAT KOREAN BBQ!? ARE YOU EFFING KIDDING ME?? Now, I am not just disappointed and sad. I AM OUTRAGED. But of course, not at the waitress, our waitress was NOTHING but kind and nice, and I realize, she is put in the worst position because she has nothing to do with the change, in fact she doesn't even want it. It's all the owner! So we kindly tell her no, we will NOT be paying an extra $1.50 for a bowl of rice. How much does rice cost to make anyway? Like $.25? You're really gonna tax on rice out of all things? Unbelievable! Anyway, so we end our meal, go to pay our check and ask to speak to the owner. We kindly tell him that as long time customers, we don't really like the price increase because it is a pretty big jump for no apparent reason. The meat quality is not much better than Palace (and Palace has more variety and is even CHEAPER at $15.99 weekdays, 16.99 weekends), and I can get better brisket and pork belly in Federal Way at Shin Sung for $11.99 AYCE. He claims that his is the going price for AYCE Korean BBQ, but I've seen more variety in the ones for this price. Facts: *Grill King does not have the variety other Korean BBQ's do, so they should not be charging $18.99. *Grill King needs to offer more variety (such as tender beef/steak cubes, steamed egg, lettuce wraps, better quality brisket, seafood & etc) to be charging $18.99 *A jump from $15.95 to $18.99 will make many customers upset *Grill King should not be charging $1.50 for extra rice if it is an All You Can Eat Korean BBQ So Yelp, I am conflicted, but I think I have made up my mind and sadly won't be coming here very often any more, I feel too cheated and back stabbed. It had everything I hoped for, friendly staff that made me feel at home, food that didn't make me throw up the next day, and a decent price that I didn't need to justify when I left.

I would have loved to try their food but unfortunately it never got to that point. My siblings came to town this weekend for a family reunion and we were craving Korean bbq. We originally made reservations at Palace Korean BBQ but decided it was too far from my brothers house so after checking yelp we came across grill king which had great reviews. We called ahead and informed them we had a large party of 13 and asked them if they could accommodate such a party for all you can eat. They insured us that they could and our reservations would be ready in 30 minutes. We arrived at the place and headed in to find that they had 3 separate tables set up for Korean bbq for us. Whatever I understand. It's a big group, not every restaurant has that much room to sit everyone at one table. So we were okay with it. We asked if it was possible to move to one of the booths and were told that'd be okay. So they brought one of our tables over and we got up to move our remaining two tables and was yelled at by the hostess that only one table would be moving. This being a family reunion we decided it'd make no sense to split our family up. So we kept our original seating. As time came we ordered Korean bbq for 10 of us while 3 others would not be eating the bbq as my parents are vegetarians. The hostess was okay with this but soon the owner came over and had a discussion with the hostess. He then informed us this was not acceptable. He demanded we shuffle around so that there would be a table of 3 that isn't eating Korean bbq and separate them from the people who were eating it across the room. We raised concern that as a family we didn't want to be separated as such and it wouldn't make much sense to set it up that way. At this point the whole restaurant stopped to watch this argument ensue. They owner would not budge however even though the hostess didn't mind us sitting together. So eventually we decided that there were other Korean places we could easily go to and decided to leave. When we got up to leave the owner quickly changed his tune and said it was okay and we could sit together. But by then it was far too late. They may have great food but their customer service is atrocious and we were able to go down the street and enjoy food stress free and with great customer service at San Maru where not only did they accommodate everything but also gave us a chef special on the house because we spent over 400 on our meal.

I guess you should try this place if you want to take a walk on the wild side of Korean BBQ. When you show up and order the All You Can Eat BBQ, they ask no questions, give you no clues;. They show up a few minutes later with a huge platter of raw meat and then start carpet bombing your table with sides. I'm not sure what all of the meats we cooked in the center of our table were. I saw some mention of tongue on the menu. Not sure if I got any?? There was no interaction that would clue me in. I preferred to remain oblivious to what meat I was eating. The stand outs for me were the short ribs, pork belly, and Kalbi. The sauces you get to dip the meat in were very good. The sides were all fine but nothing really stood out to me. In all liklihood, if I hadn't begun eating Korean BBQ at Cham Garden, I would have enjoyed this experience more. At Cham's, you get lettuce to wrap the meat in, garlic to cook the meat with, and jalepenos. These small details make a big difference. The biggest difference is that Cham (I guess that's his name) comes out to talk with you and to educate you about Korean BBQ. Going forward, I'll make the drive back to Cham Garden in Lakewood if I'm going to have Korean BBQ in the region.

I have been wanting to come to Grill King for some time. I am looking for a good Korean BBQ restaurant in WA ever since I moved here last year and hoping I don't have to look anymore. I heard a lot of good things, and the ratings on yelp is good too. Looks like I still have searching to do. We order the Korean BBQ combination for dinner. The price was pretty reasonable for Korean BBQ. But unfortunately, that is the only good thing about this place. First, the service is not good. When I got there at 8 o'clock, there was only 2 tables with customers and they were already leaving. I wanted the larger table that seats 6 people since I have kids, and the waitress was giving me crap about it. I said, it's 8'oclock, your rush is over. After a minute of discussion, they took our order. Other things were that I had to flag the waitress down to get refills and we were like the only customers at this time. And they don't even change the grill when it gets too burnt. Anyways, I don't rate restaurants based on service so the 2 stars has nothing to to with the service. Ok, now for the food. The banchan was below average and their doenjang chigae was pretty weak. They don't even give lettuce or some salad with the meat? Hm.. traditionally, Koreans wrap their bbq meat with lettuce, rice and ssam jang and whatever else. Trendier Korean BBQ places give some sort of lettuce salad to substitute so that you can use chopsticks to wrap the meat with lettuce. Meat marination was subpar. I feel i can marinate galbi, chicken, daeji bulgogi better than them. This is not good when they specialize in Korean BBQ! Anyways, I left full as I always to from Korean restaurants but left disappointed.

We ran into a man (we found out he was the owner of restaurant) as soon as we entered and my wife says hi and the owner just walks by ( felt that he ignored us) without saying a word. We decided to sit and eat cuz we were so hungry and was going to have all u can eat bbq but the price listed on their website wasn't match with the menu. It is all good cuz we were hungry but we heard from the other table trying to order some more veggies such as lettuces ( u got to have some veggies to eat Korean bbq). At the same time that we also heard extra charge of those veggies. I was like hold hold hold up.. WHAT? I got to pay to have Veggies? A little later, a waitress came over then I askfirst thing, are veggies extra $$$ ? She replies Sorry and Yes ..that is the owner's policy. No Korean bbq charges veggies. They should be free. The waitress knew that. That is why she said sorry to us. This is not all u can eat Korean bbq without veggies. Then we walked out without eating and went to federal way Korean bbq. Only paid like $15 per person with all u can eat meat and veggies. I hope they learned from this

I really, really love this place. I think I come here at least twice a month or so. My boyfriend and I are big fans of the $18.99 all-you-can-eat KBBQ! Pork belly, brisket, bulgogi, spicy pork, chicken, short ribs... my mouth is watering just thinking about it. The ban chan spread is pretty awesome, too, and the servers don't hesitate to give you more if you ask! The service is wonderful (we always get the same two ladies as our servers) and they are super friendly. I just can't get enough of this place. :)

The service can be slow here, but the food is delicious! The variety of banchan is abundant and the prices are very reasonable. The all you can eat Korean BBQ runs around $18 per person - and the variety and quality of meats is good. I definitely got my money's worth. In terms of their regular menu - the dolsot bibimbap is authentic and very tasty. I love the crunchiness of the rice after it sizzles against the stone bowl. I also am a HUGE fan of the yukaejang. It's a spicy soup with shredded beef and lots of yummy vegetables. It's located conveniently in Shoreline - which for most good Korean you have to go much further north to Lynnwood or way south to Federal Way.

Dunno why there are so many high ratings. Came here with my family and family friends and got there around 5:45pm on a Saturday and it was DEAD. We didnt get the all you can eat because we weren't super hungry and most def won't eat our money's worth. Uhhh... for one thing, no lettuce or some sort of salad? They had a cabbage salad but not the same. Service sucks, I know most Korean places have bad service (in Korea it's all about self service) but still. The meat was good, we got only the thin sliced ribeye but no garlic to grill? Ugh, and they didn't have samjang (sp?) Which is weird too. Ehhh... so disappointed.

Free parking is great but the spaces are tight! Downside: Everyone in your party has to order all you can eat and to use the grill and you need a minimum of two people so you can't come here with a group of people who have different food restrictions.

We came here for late lunch/early dinner today and loved it. As we're both on a low-carb/high-protein diet, this was the ideal place for us. It was or first AYCE Korean BBQ experience in Seattle and we were thoroughly happy with the price, quality of meats, banchan sides, and service. Hubby is usually very sensitive and particular about mystery meats and poor quality meats in Asian cuisine, and he did not have any complaints. A very good sign. The 18.99 AYCE buffet consists of water/barley tea, seven types of meats, seven types of banchan (bean sprouts, pickled cucumbers, pickled jicama or radish?, a creamy macaroni salad, kimchi, flat fishcake type dish, and a sweet potato dish), a bubbling potato/tofu soup, two dipping sauces (sesame oil/salt based and a soy sauce-based) and steaming bowls of rice. Not sure if the rice is AYCE but everything else is. Helpful hints for AYCE: come during non-rush hour. This way you get more attention from servers and have a more peaceful dining experience. Come in groups of 2-4 max. I'm greedy with my banchan (I'm the type of chick that can eat three rounds of banchan single-handedly without flinching) and once you have too many people, it's hard to get "enough" of everything. Avoid getting carbonated beverages and don't fill up too much on the carby sides (sweet potato, macaroni salad, rice). You can fill up more effectively on pure protein and vegetable side dishes. Oh, and most importantly, order "EVERYTHING" the first round. Then as you try everything, pay attention to which meats you liked and which you didn't. Then you can fine tune and select just your favorites for rounds two (and three, and possibly four!). We'll be back, oh yes we'll be back!

The Good: Marinated spicy pork was quite tasty, newer interior and equipment. Meat quality was acceptable. Portion control. The Bad: Electric grill, banchan, tofu soup, and lack of BBQ selection. Detailed rating: (Meat: 6.5, ambiance: 5, small dish: 1, service: 6, cleanliness: 6.5) Being a resident of in Koreatown of Washington State (Federal Way) for over 20 years, I am no stranger to Korean cuisine, and the Korean restaurants in Federal Way have probably spoiled me with great food all these years. I can be picky when it comes to Korean food, and I was somewhat disappointed after my friend and I visited this restaurant. I am familiar with this location; it was the old Four Seasons Korean Restaurant about 12 years ago, when my friends went to Shoreline CC. I loved the food back then, and since that time restaurant's name have changed twice. This is the third reincarnation of the original restaurant, and I haven't been back for a long time. When we arrived at this restaurant at 7pm on a Thursday evening, there were a few cars in the parking lot, and there was a birthday party toward the back of the restaurant. Something was not right, even for a Thursday evening around dinner time. If Yelp users rated this restaurant quite good, it was definitely worth a try. We were seated promptly (of course!), and the service was great so far. When I saw the electric infrared BBQ grill, I was surprised, because I was used to the gas or charcoal grill, the ones that have flames! Now I doubt myself if I chose the right place to bring a newbie to try out "authentic" Korean BBQ. My answer has been confirmed once I saw the banchan (small Korean dishes). All I could say was, the tofu pot place by Ranch 99 in Edmonds has better banchan that this, especially the kimchi, it was so dry and not spicy! The refrigerator taste was evident on the rest of them. The free tofu soup was a little better, but seemed like it was pre-made and reheated. It was free so I would not complain. On top of the free tofu soup there were two free bowls of rice too! I shouldn't feel adventurous and brought my friend to this place, but now I'm afraid I may have to make this up next time. Tofu soup was a little better, but seemed like it was pre-made and reheated. Meat was in small portions, you have marinated beef and pork, short ribs, thin sliced beef, pork belly, and chicken. The marinated meats were on the sweet side, and they were actually pretty good. The chicken and short ribs were also tasty, but if a restaurant can mess up on the short ribs and chicken, the end is near. The meat quality got some of my confidence back, and saved the rating from going under 5 out of 10. We ended up ordering another small portion of the marinated pork and short ribs. I wish there were squids and better salad like other AYCE Korean BBQ restaurants. Overall, the meat was the highlight, if you don't care about the banchan, then this place is not bad for the price. It was about $24 per person including tax and tips, but I would like to pay a little more to have better banchan. There is a first time for everything and to be honest, I won't be back for a while.

All you can eat Korean BBQ... not the best quality of meat, but the service and food were all great. We left here completely stuffed. The place has no ambiance what so ever, it's just a good place to get full. We are looking forward to coming back for another soju and meat filled afternoon with friends.

With the absence of good kbbq in the north end of Seattle I was happy to see the giant sign for Grill King I have been in about 3 times in the few months and I have had nothing but positive experiences. Great price for lunch and dinner on all you can eat. the meat was good and the portions of course are massive. It is all you can eat the options are, thin rib eye, pork belly, short ribs, spicy pork, chicken, and a few other beef cuts. the banchan (side dishes) are what seem to throw me off. Two times I have come in and never had an issue with getting anything refilled, but one time we can in around 5Pm and it was empty...and this was the only time we had trouble with the service. Perhaps they were on their lunch break eating or something All in All if you are craving Kbbq and do not live in Tacoma or Federal Way. Grill king is the best all you can eat kbbq buffet north of Seattle. Only down side is they charge for extra rice...which is super lame of any place to do. Obviously rice fills you up faster, so if your customers are asking for more rice than you should be happy to fill them up on carbs.

We went in and there was a 90 minute wait! Everything smelled delicious, and from the 10 minutes we were there trying to decide if we wanted to wait, the staff was very friendly and apologized for not being able to accommodate us right away. The food looked really good and the spread of banchan (side dishes) also looked very promising! I'll have to come back and hopefully try everything out!

We were a party of 4 and had the AYCE. The Banchan (little side dishes) comes out first and they were all great. Then comes the MEAT a huge platter of various MEATS some marinated and some not. All the meats were great in different ways and you cook the non-marinated MEATS first or the grill gets kinda coated. I preferred the spicy pork and it was nice and spicy. Service was spot on and we went through 3 huge platters of MEAT and it was cool to talk and cook our grub right at the table and wash it down with a nice Korean beer. After 2nd platter of like 5 LBS of MEAT I was feeling mighty full but my son is the man as he orders the third platter and I slip into food coma....... Woke up this morning to the "Ring of fire". You know the Johnny Cash song........

Really stellar service on a Sunday early evening, and was seated promptly and right away ordered the all you can eat special for 2 for $16 each. Great initial platter of meats, decent banchan, and what stood out to me were the marinated galbi (best all you can eat galbi in Seattle so far), the beef tongue, the marinated boneless chicken thigh, and the spicy pork bulgogi. Had a bottle of soju, and the total with tax was under $50 for 2. (The soju was $13.) Definitely coming back if I'm in the area.

The meat in all-you-can-eat Korean BBQ is always good, and this place is no exception. That is the only reason I am giving 2 stars. However, their service was awful (and I'm usually not someone who cares about service). Since there isn't a large table full of raw meat where you just grab it yourself, this place requires a waitress to bring you the meat. Given that the place has a 2-hour time limit, I expect service to be fast and efficient. First, service was extremely slow the entire night; I had to go flag down the waitress every time we needed something, after the initial ordering. Second, they required us to finish a plate before they would bring us another, leading to about 10 minutes of time between each plate. Third, they required us to finish every single type of meat on the first plate before they would bring us a new one with the meats with actually wanted. For a table where several people didn't eat tongue and one person didn't eat pork, this presented a problem. Finally, it was a member of our party's birthday, and we asked if they provided birthday specials of any kind. A nice, gentle "no" is fine; a curt, defensive "No! Not at all!" is not. Though they did later come back with an offer of the "smallest size beer, only one." Will not be back.

We came here on a Saturday night at around 7pm and it was packed! There were two groups ahead of us and we waited 30 minutes (which I normally wouldn't do but it just smelled so good). The food was delicious. Get the all you can eat special. It's a great deal for what you pay. It includes rice, a bunch of little side dishes (Bahn chan) and soup. You also get the typical dipping sauces for your bbq. There's a two person minimum for this deal. The service was a bit sparse sometimes but then again we did come on a Saturday night. The wait staff was very friendly and encouraged us to eat more than we should. What would put this review at 5 stars? Larger portions of Bahn chan plates (especially when there's more than two people).

The place is really a 3 star when compared to other Korean barbecue places I have been to but this is basically the only all you can eat placed have seen in settle. The meat selections okay, nothing to go crazy over. Only suggestion is to make a reservation since they sometimes tend to get pretty busy.

  • Orlene C.

Service was very good. Even asked if we wanted more of the sides. We did the made to order items (Bulgogi & Kalbi LA style), so I cannot review what the table side grill items are like. I thought the meat in the bulgogi was good quality, but it did not have enough sauce on it. The Kalbi was pretty good. All and all everything was good but not wow.

Very friendly staff delivers fast service. Decent Korean BBQ - if you are really, really hungry, go for the all-you-can-eat. BBQ is really electric. I prefer burning coals. To me, there's something about the smoke and spices filling the air that makes kbbq so cool. This places lacks that... Not the best. Not the worst. * if the parking lot in the front is full, you can park behind the place. Just make sure to walk all the way around to the front entrance, and NOT down the stairs that are up there. The stairs lead you right to the neighboring restaurant and not Grill King.

Was not impressed with the All you can eat Korean BBQ. The bean curd soup that comes with was extremely salty. The side dishes did not seem fresh (one of my kimchee pieces were black!) and it was like pulling teeth getting any refills for a table of 6 that was going through the small portions. There were times they would actually take the empty plates we asked refills for that never returned. Don't think I will be back as there are many other choices for KBBQ.

this is the only korean bbq place that I know in the north part of seattle Although the best one as I think is in federal way, because they are using traditional way to grill. But this is still a great one in aurora!

This is my go-to kbbq place. One good thing is that they have all you can eat for about $18. One nice thing about this place is everything is fresh and they keep your veggies refilled constantly. In terms of the marination of the meat.. I have been to tastier places, but you get what you pay for. My only gripe is that the grills are electric grills not charcoal.

    (4)
  • Ning S.

The service is really good, and that's the only reason why i gave a 3 star. I just couldn't like the taste of anything. The marinade is way too sweet! We had 3 options of meat but all taste just greasy. Plus it is quite pricey!

  • Max Z.

You know what I want to do for dinner today? Pay someone money so that I can cook the food myself! What, the two utensils they gave us are covered in raw meat drippings? It sure would be nice to be cooking AT HOME instead where I could do something about it! I have no idea where they get their meat from but at their prices I doubt it's anyplace good. They charge for extra rice, which basically means they want you to fill up on their awful meat which is somehow cheaper than rice! It's impossible to keep anything clean and I feel lucky that I walked away without getting sick. On top of that they had a pretty lame drink selection.

Good service. Staff is good about making sure you get what you want. Also, it's a Korean restaurant so don't be afraid to flag the staff down and make them come to you. In our culture that's the norm. Food is above average. With Korean food, there are huge differences between the ingredients used in the home vs. the cost savings necessary to produce good food at a restaurant scale. That said, the quality of the food here is good despite the fudging of certain ingredients used in the more traditional style of cooking. I've had both AYCE and individual dishes. Most of the individual dishes are solid. AYCE is good but doesn't come with your standard greenery like red lettuce or julienned green onion. Those cost extra, but it makes sense as the price for AYCE is already as lower than most at $16. Also, I'm really getting tired of you idiots who complain that the blood from this meat is mixing with that meat. And then, oh no, it gets on the tongs. Get over yourself, it's AYCE K-fucking-BBQ for $16 measly dollars. You should be more concerned if the mixed blood is starting to congeal or shows signs that it's been sitting out. Stop being sissies, the grills will heat the meat beyond the point where food-borne bacteria can survive. Ban chan is solid but not spectacular. You don't get the variety that some places will offer but what they give you is good.

So I found out since they open they changed it so that your first plate is the sampler then you can choose whatever you want after! yay!

Best service ever. You dont have to wait 30 min just to get a refill on your water. The waitress always seems eager to serve which just makes the whole experienxe 10x better. Theyre always so pleasant. She also changes the grill out, very rare at many other restaurants. I always do the all you can eat option, its well worth the money!

I had to go back a second time (actually, its like my 5th now) before I wrote this review so I could be sure my first experience was not a fluke. I have been searching for a good Korean BBQ place for many years now, and I finally found a great one! The food here is excellent. Quality meats with good marinades, that are not drenched in sugar and/or sauce. Their Dae Ji Bulgogi (spicy pork) is the best I've had in 15 years. It is what others should be judged against. Oh, and you can get the kalbi meat without the rib. This is the best thing since sliced bread. Huge bonus in my opinion. The downside is that sometimes there is a language gap. I still give them 5 stars though.

Great place to go for all you can eat meat (2 hours limit). It would cost you $15 for all you can eat meat! Friendly service except for the Male owner. He was rushing me and my friend bc he said we were "wasting gas".

My boyfriend and I frequent a Korean bbq restaurant in Lynnwood, but since they weren't doing all-you-can-eat at the time, we decided to give this place a try. Went here yesterday, as my family was visiting the area and my dad was craving Korean bbq. We all did the all-you-can-eat even though it seemed too pricey ($18.99). Food and sides really weren't anything special and neither was the service. We finished paying and were just talking at our table when the waitress came over and complained about how we tipped her too little. We all just looked at her in shock, as this has never happened to any of us in any other restaurant. She said that it was "our choice" and that it was ok if we didn't want to tip any more than we already did, so she left. We were getting ready to leave when she came over to us for the second time, asking if we didn't like her service and that she would get in trouble with her boss if we didn't give her a bigger tip. Oh please. Needless to say, we're never going there again.

I used to go here all the time, but the last time I brought a group of friends, the owner threw a fit over one person in the group not eating due to an allergy and tried to charge them full price for food they didn't eat. He relented after thoroughly inspecting their place sitting and chopsticks and humiliating our friend. He never once accepted or acknowledged our apologies for the inconvenience we caused him. Bad temper, bad manners; won't be returning.

Let me describe the Korean bulgogi (sliced beef) that I ordered at Grill King: The meat was of such low quality that it was almost like chewing rubber (not tender at all) and I had to swallow some of the meat pieces because I couldn't break them down by chewing. And the ban-chan (side dishes) were tasteless too. When you go to a grocery store, notice the huge difference in price between good quality meat and cheap meat. There is a reason. Cheapest meats have less tenderness and favor. Grill King obviously buys the cheapest, lowest quality meat. $18.99 is not a bargain when you pay to eat something that is not good.

This place is amazing! First off, let me tell you that you will never find a cheaper place for all you can eat Korean barbecue. $16 for all you can eat ANY kind of seven meats included. Not only that, service is friendly, fast, and knowledgeable. Food Quality: 9/10 Service: 10/10 Appearance: 7/10 Price: 9/10 Overall: 9/10

This is the only all you can eat korean BBQ in the area that I know of...$15.95 per person, 5-6 different types of meat (they give you a sampling of all types in the first round, then you can add more as you go). We got extras of the chicken (really tender), bulgolgi, and kalbi. Was disappointed that they didn't have brown rice when we went in, and the banchan are a little worse than most korean restaurants in the area. But I guess you're there for the meat, right? We also ordered kalbi tang, which was alright, and they serve the soybean paste soup for free with the meat. Will return when I want to devour my whole month's worth of meat in one meal. Price is good for all-you-can-eat korean BBQ.

We were in the mood for Korean food, but we hadn't been to a Korean restaurant since moving to Seattle more than 2 1/2 years ago. I looked on Yelp for one with strong recommendations in the North Seattle-Edmonds area and discovered this restaurant in Shoreline. It doesn't look like much from the outside, but we went into the restaurant confidently because of previous recommendations. My first impression was that it is simply decorated, but very clean. The staff was very friendly and greeted us right away. We decided to try the barbecue when we learned that all of the sides and even a kimchee soup comes with the barbecue. The two of us could not eat all of the meat on the first plate that we were given, but we were very satisfied. The service is, indeed, wonderful with the staff being very attentive. They always appeared right when we needed something. We never had to wait. It was a perfect meal for a great price. If you like Korean food, then try this place.

NO. While I can't complain about the service, man oh man...THEFOOD! Place was a little run down, and the food was far from hitting the spot. Check out Kawon if you want good korean BBQ. They were a little disappointing in meat selection, and when we asked for refills...we got enough for may a single person (only 2 of us though). Side dishes were awful. They're a bit too cheap...saw the owner come out and take back some beef that had been cooked and uneaten into the kitchen. Not sure if her intentions were to eat it, or to toss it out, but nevertheless...gross.

Grill King occupies the space that used to be another Korean restaurant called Green Garden. I don't know what happened, but I'm pretty happy that it's Grill King now. It almost doesn't make sense how much food you get and what quality you get for the price. This is the only Korean restaurant I can think of that will keep an eye on your banchan (side dishes) and just keep refilling them free of charge. And they're good banchan too! I've tried out some soups, some grilled meats at a regular table, and tried grilling at the grilling tables and have loved every bite. The only disappointment is that Green Garden used to do a really great soon dubu jjigae (soft tofu soup) but Grill King doesn't offer it. But really, after having sampled what I have there, I think I'll live without the soon dubu jjigae!

Grill King is the best taste:value for Korean BBQ in Seattle, hands down. Pros: The all you can eat is a great selection of different meats. Its all you can eat!! Decent side-dish selection. Absolutely wonderful service (seriously, our waitress was the best!!). Great price. Free lettuce salad and bean soup. Cons: The marinades on the pork bulgogi and beef bulgogi were not very authentic. I mean, they were delicious and I would happily eat them again... but it wasn't very authentic. Nothing is very spicy (the pork bulgogi and kimchi had barely any spice). The grill area is a little small, so when it is busy it gets kind of cramped. We *will* be back. This place is awesome.

What exceptional quality for the price! $16 all you can eat korean bbq!!! Delicious, well marinated, great cuts of meat -- as close to Los Angeles' Koreatown as I've had in a long time. Admittedly I was skeptical when I heard about this place... The "best kor-bbq" places are pretty well established in our little Yelpy corner of the internet, and this place hasn't gotten a lot of buzz yet... But that is a shame, because it's worth buzzing about. The kalbi ribs and bulgogi were definitely my favorites and will stand up to anything in the area, and the chicken and pork were also very strong entries. Try this place out next time you and three friends are hankering for some all-you-can-eat grilled goodness. It's not a large place as far as places go, but has about six grill-equipped tables which is plenty for even a big party of Yelpers.

This place is awesome!! the waiter is nice. The food is bomb!!! I got the beef rib LA style bbq. Tt's really good, but a lil bit too thin. It tastes really good tho! the side dishes r also tasty too! I will definitely visit again if i got a chance! The all you can eat bbq must hv 2 or more ppl, btw.

pretty good deal for AYCE KBBQ! $18.99 for 6 types of meat and side dishes. their beef is really tender and flavorful, as are their short ribs. i was a little disappointed with their spicy pork (usually my fave at KBBQ places) because it wasn't spicy like how it should be and it wasn't flavorful. The AYCE also comes with hot soup which was good. Their side dishes were plentiful and varied. Service was great! Check this place out!

Nice staff, even though they kind of forgot about us for a bit and some of the requests. My girlfriend got mild food poisoning, but it could have been from not cooking the meat thoroughly. I didn't feel mesmerized by this place. But it's an all you can eat for one price. The sides were okay. Worth checking out to see if you like it. I didn't think it was horrible.

Really inconsistent. I came here once and got great soup, but my last visit was disappointing. Different bowl set(not earthenware), lukewarm, lacked in flavor - failed in delivering the comfort of this dish. What happened? I'm not sure if i want to take a chance and give them another try.

you can't really expect much for a buffet. the meat you'll get probably the worst you can find in the market. its like eating 60% of fat from the meat you get when you order it. I wouldn't waste my time getting 2nd batch. if people are raving about this place that this is the best korean bbq in seattle. boy .. are they missing the boat on what good food means. yes, its friendly and good service. but we want real food. good food!

They have about half their restaurant dedicated to BBQing. I love their $15.99 all-you-can-eat bbq deal. It comes with spicy pork, sweet beef, short ribs, beef tongue, bbq chicken breast, and pork belly. That is a great deal for the price. The staff is attentive and they do their best when they are super busy. But, they were always nice when I have gone. This is one of my go-to Korean BBQ places.

I came here with another person to try their "korean bbq buffet", for the first time. How it works: You choose to sit on the left side (order specific dishes) or the right side (grill/buffet) of the restaurant as you enter. If you choose the bbq buffet, the server will bring out a "sampler" plate of meats--- cow tongue, pork bacon, marinated kalbi, spicy pork, chicken, bulgogi---- to your table (you don't get up and get food) as well as an array of banchan/side dishes. After you finish your plate, you have the option of choosing specific meats or enjoy a second round of the same sampler plate. You do this until you're full. Service: Lady waitresses were very friendly and helpful. They frequently checked on us, made sure that our meat wasn't burning/we had enough water, banchan, etc. They offered to cut the meats, which was kind. Environment: This is a small restaurant. It wasn't busy when I went, probably because I got there a little before dinnertime. Good place for bringing a small group of friends or family. Other: Besides the meats, which were well-marinated and fresh, the banchan was a disappointment. Kimchi tasted funky (too much fish sauce?), for example, and potato/carrot were doused in oil. The lettuce leaves (you would wrap them with pork bacon, sauce, and rice) were tasty.

I know a little bit about Korean food, mostly Kim-chi, having made it myself a few times. We saw this place out of the corner of our eye on Aurora and screeched into the parking lot. My fiance is vegetarian, and they only had a few offerings, but she got the vegetable pancake, and we both agreed it was out of this world. Our server was very helpful and pleasant, and checked on us just enough. I ordered the bbq pork, and it was huge, and came with a bunch of great side dishes (including some awesome, fresh kim-chi). Tasted amazing! I didn't ask about MSG, but I will next time. And there will be a next time. Very soon.

All you can eat Korean BBQ for $16! They give you all the little side plates, and the first serving of meet was enough for my boyfriend and me (and he eats a lot!). Although it was a bit awkward, the waitress will come by and make sure you're cooking the meat well, or even cook it for you if your grill has room. This gave me a chance to eat my own stuff. I would definitely come back!

We came here for the first time. The food was fresh, there was a good variety and the service was great. The price is right for what you get. We got the all you can eat, which comes with several different meats. The highlight was the spicy marinated pork. Everything else was good, but bland. When we think of Korean bbq, we think spicy. When we ordered more of the pork, our server told us it was too spicy for him. The side dishes were also good, but also bland. And you have to order the hot peppers and garlic separately (no extra charge). If you like mild Korean food, you won't be sorry.

Loved this place. This was my first time doing KBBQ and I was a little trepidatious, but it was great! We got the meat combos that came with salad, fish cakes, kimchi, marinated radish, potatoes, cucumber in sauce, and some others that I'm forgetting at the moment. Then you get your rice and miso soup. LOTS of little nibbles to keep your palette refreshed. What I loved most was the SERVICE. The friendliest staff I've encountered in a LONG time. I mentioned to the waitress that I'm pregnant and have some food restrictions. In minutes, the chef came out, gave me a hug, and asked when I was due, etc. She promised me a good meal (which it was), and then sent out a little extra of something she heard my husband liked. Overall, I really enjoyed my experience and hope this restaurant is here to stay.

Their food was great! My family and I ordered the combo or whatever it was, so that we could have a taste of almost everything off their menu, instead of ordering individually. The meats had a lot of flavor. Only problem was the vents. All the smoke from the grill was going into my direction.

We decided to try The Grill King after reading numerous respectable reviews posted on Yelp. In the past, the one story stretched out building along the highway 99 did not seem so inviting nor the signage so we never stopped to try the Grill King. We were in a mood to try some place different so we read the reviews and went to the Grill King over the weekend. We did not enjoy the Grill King. The BBQ was cooked via smokeless infrared heat source (not gas, not charcoal) on the table, so that no hood was hanging over the table, which was great. We ordered Galbi ($19.99) and Squid (forgot how much it was). Squid came out frozen, not seasoned (not marinated). Galbi was not marinated, neither. It did not look like Galbi meat. It almost looked like Spencer steak meat to me. They offered two dipping sauces (soy sauce based and sesame oil, salt and pepper based). Very uninteresting way to enjoy the meat to say the least. There were 7 side dishes (soy bean spouts, stewed potatoes, very sweet vinegar added radish salad, cucumber (American thick skinned cucumbers) salad, nappa cabbage salad, pasta salad (mayonnaise based)) and stir fired sliced fish cakes. Only 1/7 was enjoyable for us which was nappa cabbage salad. If you wanted the lattice wrap, it would had been extra for $1.99. To top it off, we had the worst, snooty, unattending waitress ever. It was not busy when we went there, most tables were unoccupied. Not impressed with the Grill King. We have been to numerous other Koreans restaurants on Highway 99 (from Shoreline to Lynnwood). The Grill King was really at the very bottom for zero flavorful foods. Arirrang, Kawon, Old Village, and Sura seem like very respectable places to go.. The other one (Tofu house) is located right across from KS Mart in Lynnwood. The name escapes me.

I was really craving Korean BBQ these past few weeks and I finally decided I needed to have some for lunch in between jobs. Normally I go the Palace BBQ in Bellevue except for it was out of the way for me to make it back to work on time. I went on yelp and saw this place had much better reviews than Palace which is hit or miss on service for me at least. The price was great for all you can eat. All of the meat was delicious! Nom nom nom. I stuffed myself silly on the beef and pork meats and the side dishes were great as well. I was bummed about the number of side dishes since I've gone to Korean restaurants who have served more than the 6 plus Kimchi, but they were still delicious and our server actually refilled them. Also, the meat selection was delicious but I kind of wish there was some seafood on it like Palace. But I guess that's why there's the price descrepancy. Either way, this was a much better experience than Palace and the food was delish!

I really do not understand why this place has the high rating from other people. My mum and I got really bad Diarrhea after eating here. There are flies on your food. The place is really dirty. We had the all you can eat BBQ. But the owners only brought you two small piece of meat when you ask for refill. We felt like we were begging for food. Worst dinning experience ever. Do not go. If you want to feel like a begger on the street and eat dirty food, then go.

This place was amazing!! I walked in and said, "I've never been here before, but I bet you have what I want." The owner's son said "What do you want?" "Spicy Pork, please." "Done." He took the menu and went on his way. A few minutes later, an absolute smorgasborg came out from the kitchen and it was ALL FOR ME! The tray he brought out was filled with one small bowl after another of all sorts of different things. Some I recognized. Some I didn't. It didn't look or smell anything like the spicy pork that I had had in the past, but what did I know? I'm not Korean! I got my chopsticks out of the community container that housed only chopsticks and large soup spoons. Not a fork to be seen. It's okay though. I'm somewhat experienced with the sticks. I started to dig into all the different mostly pickled things when here comes the son again with another two arms full of food for ME! This was the spicy pork and it was just what I remembered it to look and smell like. (now I was Korean...) I went to town on that food. Make sure to try the fish cakes. Yummy weirdness! I was by myself wishing I could have experienced this with someone else. IT WAS AN EVENT!

Very friendly service and great food. Menu items seem expensive, but once the food arrives, you'll see the value. There was a bit of a language barrier at times, and I would have liked to have had an explanation of what the side dishes were, but overall a great experience.
