This is my favorite teriyaki place. Its all in the sauce. My favorite is the Chicken "breast" teriyaki. The portion size & the chicken isn't dried out. The quality of the food is the difference from the others. Also, they deliver too!

This place isn't a place I am too crazy about. I'll keep this short and sweet, the portions were way tiny and the chicken we got was dry. What is up with Queen Anne, there is like 50 Thai restaurants in about a block radius but not a decent teriyaki place?

We stopped here on a Saturday afternoon around 3pm after a busy day of using our city passes. The food was decent.. the place was clean and quiet, and we were served very quickly. The sushi was a little different than what we were used to, and it wasn't quite the quality that we're used to either. I liked my teriyaki chicken. I paid extra for all white meat and it was worth it. All in all, this was a nice little stop for our tired feet.. but nothing amazing. They also seemed weirded out that we had a little kid with us.. there was no kid menu, but our kid liked the fried prawns.

Absolutely horrible service. The place is about 4 blocks from my location. Me and some friends ordered delivery. When the driver came she said that she forgot part of my order. I then asked her if it would be refunded, she didn't have an answer for me. When k signed me receipt she said "where's the tip? You have to tip, that's why we have free delivery!" When I politely replied " I feel like I shouldn't tip because my order is incomplete, and you are the one who said you forgot the item". She then became very angry and said "If you dont tip, we will never deliver to you again!!" I replied with, " I don't tip for incomplete orders with no guarantee of a refund". She then drove fast out of the parking lot, running a stop sign. I stood there with my mouth open like....what just happened..... I called the manager later and he seemed care free. I told him about the incident and he listened, I stopped talking after I asked if we are banned or not and he didn't say anything for 4:32 seconds when I said...hello?! He then said "what do you want then". Anyway y'all can see where this goes on. Save your money and go elsewhere. Horrific

ZERO STARS. It's been a long time since I've been this dissatisfied/offended/disgusted/pissed off at a restaurant, so there in itself warrants a yelp review. I searched for a quick takeaway/delivery teriyaki restaurant that would deliver to my work since I wanted something light (tofu/broccoli stir fry). I came upon this establishment as delivery friendly within 3.5 miles, and since my office made the cutoff, I went for it. Now, it's important to note that going into this experience I had very low expectations (think panda express), and given the ordering via Mobile FOS, I knew this meal wasn't going to be anything special. I placed the order online and waited the designated 40 minutes.... 45 minutes.... 50 minutes..... 60 minutes..... 65 minutes......75 minutes......80 minutes??? WHAT THE ACTUAL FUCK. THE FOOD NEVER ARRIVED. REPEAT. THE FOOD NEVER ARRIVED. No Phone Call No Email No Text NO NOTHING. They DID manage to charge my credit card immediately for the invisible food that, once again, NEVER ARRIVED. So now I'm sitting here, it's been almost 2 hours with no phone call or communication, and I'm trying to decide how this place is still in business. Since I'm starving, it would do me no good to call in and re-order, so I'm going to report them immediately and call my bank and call it a day. This is absolutely unacceptable, and I'm going to make a valiant effort to spread the word to AVOID THIS PLACE AT ALL COSTS. That is, unless you'd like to pay for food you'll never receive. #endrant

Sushi was terrific, the first gig rolls were top notch, and the fried rice was steamed to perfection. Thank you! Minus a star for forgetting the extra sauce, but besides that perfect!

Stopped in tonight 20 minutes before closing and ordered Mongolian beef, which they typically are spot on, but got some dried out reheated chicken dish I couldn't identify? Live a block away, called them, she tried to tell me that's what I ordered and went stone cold silent on me. Nawww, had they offered to make it up to me, maybe ok, 3 strikes and out. Bring back the McDonalds Express and leave it open til 2, this place? uh uh...

The other reviews complaining about the sushi... who gets sushi at a cheap place like this? Stick to the katsu, teriyaki, or gyoza and you won't be disappointed. You won't be impressed either, but you get what you pay for.

Living in Belltown for 4 years I started coming here when it opened. I took takeout multiple times a week, I loved it and was my favorite Teriyaki restaurant in the general Seattle area. I don't live in the city any longer but I was there today and decided to have lunch since it had been some time since. First and foremost the quality of meats used at Yummi Twas/is a step above their peers however you pay for it. Lunch cost me $16.67 w/tip. However, changes I immediately noticed, the volume of portions have dramatically decreased. In the past you would always have left overs which helped offset the cost. I ordered a regular sized meal, they have a small sized plate too which must be quite small. Additional observations, it was lunch hour so 2/3rds of their tables were full (only one server) but the service was terrible. I had to get up to get everything other than lunch plate...really? I have never not tipped and I should have today. I did tell my waiter re; my concerns. Bottom line, the cost vs. the quality is lacking and I will be looking for another Teriyaki/Japanese restaurant in Seattle. Lastly, the older Japanese gentleman who I believe owns the place, shouldn't be in the service industry, he is not very nice.

Salad was warm. Chicken was cold and spider roll? Wow. No crab this place has failed and failed and failed and failed. They need to close shop. Ive had them tip themselves with my card because i use grub hub. I didnt report because i font even want store credit. After a good 6 months my wife has the craving for some sushi and i was to tired from work so said F it... Well once again.... Hating myself for paying. Food just sucked. This is a picture of an over priced "spider roll"

Quick delivery, nice driver, much higher quality ingredients than most similar places. Eggroll was big and delicious. Teriyaki was yums. Even the rice was awesome.

Ridiculous! I actually got up and walked out of here today. Before I explain why, a little background: I started going to Yummy Teriyaki back before The Armory at Seattle Center was remodeled. I would never eat there so I would try different places in Queen Anne. I stumbled across this place which is on the same block as Metropolitan Market. Up until today, I have received consistent experiences. The prices were not too expensive, the food not bad, and service always acceptable. The space has always been clean with lots of tables to sit at. They have a good selection of bottled/canned beverages. The portions have been good - love the bento style food. Fast forward to today...I was in Queen Anne to meet a friend. I had limited time on my lunch hour (but more than enough time to eat at Yummy Teriyaki). Upon entering, I was immediately asked if it was for here or to go. After replying "for here" I took a seat. I looked around that this is what I saw in terms of customers: 1 female with no food in front of her, 2 tables with 2 males eating their food, and 1 table with 2 adults and an infant who were just receiving their food. The woman who had greeted us at the door, was running around like a chicken without a head. You know how sometimes people are overly dramatic and become borderline dangerous as they cut corners of tables and bump into things? That's what was going on. She ran over, put menus on the table and asked if we wanted drinks, which we ordered. She also asked if we wanted forks or chopsticks and we told her our preference. She then ran to the table next to us and frantically started wiping the table. Did I mention this was at 1:30pm? Hardly the lunch time rush hour. She brought us our drinks and then asked if we were ready to order. I ordered the sushi bento with chicken katsu. I was told she was out of sushi. I'm sorry, um, what? Out of sushi. It took me a few seconds to comprehend what she was saying and I pointed to my friend and told him to order while I decided. She took his order and abruptly said she would be right back and ran away. She checked someone out (understandable), then calculated someone's check that was still eating and clearly not ready for the check, then answered the phone. After that, we waited 10 minutes for her to return but she wasn't really doing anything other than fidgeting at the cash register. It was all very confusing and I got up and left. On the way out, my friend said we ran out of time (that wasn't true because we went across town to Calozzi's instead) so I corrected him and told her that we are leaving because she didn't serve us. No sushi, no service, no matter.

For those nights when you don't want to leave the house, this place is one of my favorite places in West Seattle that delivers food. The chicken and vegetables all taste very fresh unlike a lot of the neighboring competitors. The lady who typically delivers is really nice. Similar to another reviewer, we also use to order via Eat24. We were told by the delivery person that Eat24 does charge a fee to the business, so it would be better to call the restaurant directly or to order from their business website. This was off-putting to another reviewer. I'm all in favor of supporting the local West Seattle small businesses, so if they can save money, I am willing to help out by calling direct.

Finally got around to trying this spot! My overall experience with it goes a little like this... Service - Good overall. Fast, and friendly enough. No issues here. Food - Hit and miss for me. Salad and rice were good. Meat tasted as though it may have been microwaved, versus off a grill. And let's be honest, I love just a hint of char w/my teriyaki, so I was a bit underwhelmed here. Pricing/portions aren't skimpy, nor generous - they're in the realm of "fair". Overall, this place will do the job if you're in lower Queen Anne, and in a pinch for some teriyaki (There aren't many options in the neighborhood), but with plenty of great Teriyaki spots all over the city, it isn't something I'd go too far out of my way for.

    (2)
  • Randall E.

The best part about this teriyaki place was the cook on the meat. I find it all too common for teriyaki places to have dry and burnt meat. While I have only been here a few times I have never run into that problem. I can say the rice leaves a little to be desired but it serves it's purpose. Overall, I recommend it.

Appalling service. Placed order for delivery (food for two people) at 6:55pm on a Monday night. They said it would take 45 minutes. I am located 1.1 miles away from Yummy Teriyaki. The food finally arrived at 8:18pm, over an hour and 20 minutes after placing the order. I called twice to check on the delivery. When I called the second time, frustrated, I asked the person on the phone what she could do to make this poor service experience right. She just said "What do you want me to do?" Do not support this business - they clearly do not care about their customers.

First time experience (and just today), I asked for no soy sauce (allergy). It took 25 minutes to get my food, confirmed there was no soy sauce on it with the man and woman at front. Get to my office and it's covered in soy sauce. I'm only giving two stars because I should have checked the food myself. Won't be returning.

  • Siafu P.

It's an OK place, not to expensive, and the service changes depending who's working. It's not bad service, but not great either. The food is OK, but not fantastic. Every time I went the food arrived in less than 10 minutes, I think this is reasonable. They have a very large TV screen on the wall and it's always tuned to some major sporting event.

The food was great. Lots of chicken... Small rice :( The service was amazing! :D My table was dirty :-/ So was the bathroom.

I had the Yummy Combo, which consists of chicken teriyaki, gyoza, rice, salad, and an egg roll served charmingly in a bento box. The food was ready in less than two minutes, which is never a particularly good sign of things to come. While the teriyaki was indeed yummy, the rest of the meal was sorely lacking. The egg roll was cold and leaked water and/or oil when bitten into. Most insultingly, the rice consisted of two lumps of rice gelatin... a mostly solid, springy mass that had probably spent all day in a steamer. I would have given a second star just based on the fact that the teriyaki itself was good, but service was poor despite there only being two tables in the restaurant. Our server came over just twice (once to take the order, and once to bring us the food) and spent the rest of the time playing on the computer. Soft drinks are served by the bottle, no glass offered. No water offered, either. In summary, with the city awash in better and cheaper teriyaki, there is no reason to go to Yummy Teriyaki.

I've been here a few times and both times I was impressed with the quality of the food. During my last visit I got the Chicken Yakisoba plate which had more veggies than I've seen at any other teriyaki place. The ingredients were very fresh and the presentation was a lot nicer than other places too (which isn't hard to do). Also very convenient for takeout. So why am I only giving a 3? I felt that the portions were a bit on the small side considering the prices. Normally an order of yaki-chicken will fill me up, but I was left wanting more. Also my buddy ordered Chicken Ramen and while the broth smelled tasty, the noodles looked to be of the instant variety. Still, this is a nice little addition to the lower QA choices.

My experience with them was kind of awful. I ordered online. It took them over an hour to deliver my food, and when it arrived it was cold like it had been sitting out for over an hour. It was edible, but that's pretty much the best thing I can really say about it. Even if it had been fresher, I don't think the food would have been worth the money I spent. I expected much better.

Exactly what I was looking forgood food, at a price in a clean restuarant. I had the sushi bento and my wife and toddler shared a teriyaki plate. Everything tasted great and the portions were generous.

  • Chris H.

I was damn impressed with this teriyaki joint. I wasnt expecting much based on the exterior decoration. It just kinda looks like its going to be your run of the mill teriyaki place with mediocre food at best. Well Yummy Teriyaki, you really suprised me. Tender, moist and juicy chicken, delicious sauce and perfectly cooked rice. Rarely can I finish a full plate of Teriyaki, however I mowed right through this one and wanted more. This place is great and I will definately be coming back for more!

    (5)
  • Rudina S.

Took a chance and ordered some take out from them. While it wasn't completely awful. After the meal, it was one of those times where I regretted eating it and was left totally unsatisfied. The only dish I had that was good was the shrimp tempura roll, which was surprising. The gyoza was supposed to be a popular dish, but I'm convinced that people who like that stuff have just never had good gyoza. It was hard, not crispy. I also had the gyoza & tempura bento box, assuming that no one could mess up these simple Japanese staples. So wrong! Maybe they fry everything in the same oil. Whatever it is...I will never be eating from this place again. If you want good Japanese food...go to Maneki Restaurant in the ID.

  • Sarah V.

It wasn't great, but it wasn't bad either. I had the yummy combo. Best gyoza and eggrolls I have ever had. The chicken teriyaki was a bit dried out and there was almost no sauce, but the quality of the chicken was good. No giant gloppy bites of skin and fat here. The fried rice was mushy and sticky. The husband got yakisoba and said it was terrible. I'm no yakisoba connosieur, but I didn't think it was all that great myself. I will try them again. It wan't an unenjoyable meal (for me... it was for the husband), but I was pretty disappointed because all the reviews had my hopes up.

  • Karen P.

Great little gem! The food was wonderful - full of fresh (not over-cooked bland mush) vegetables. The yakisoba was perfectly sauced and had nice chunks of tender chicken. Very tasty. The wonton soup seemed a bit pricey, until I got it. It too was full of fresh veges and a generous serving of wontons. Most people seemed to grab and go, but I ate in. The waitress was super friendly - definitely check this place out!

    (5)
  • Henry P.

I like this place. The staff is always friendly and the food is consistent. While there is better spicy teriaki in the city, there regular teriyaki and tempura are good for the price. I try to go 1 a moth or so.

Food is okay. The short ribs are often undercooked and the service is pretty slow. I ordered a sushi bento with short ribs and it took about 25 min to make! I recommend phoning your order in advanced.

I got the chicken and gyoza to go, then i got sick. Tasted fine, but man, an hour later i was settin up camp in the bathroom. Not fun. I needed an exorcist, i swear. And the sauce was soo thick. ungh. Ya.... never gonna try this again place again. Too expensive for what you get too.

This isn't the best teriyaki spot around Seattle but it is still good. I have patronized it a couple of times for lunch and ordered chx teriyaki both times. The meat is good, except very small due to over butterflying the meat. If you are hungry and like ESPN then come here. It will fill you up and they have Sportscenter on all day. The salad was actually my favorite part too, weird.

I'm grateful to Yummy Teriyaki, because when I had my broken ankle it was just about my only source of sustenance besides frozen dinners! You don't realize what a pain crutches can be until you can't carry anything (or you try to hook it all on one finger). The owners would help me by carrying my takeout to my car so I wouldn't have to struggle with my crutches. I always get the Yummy Combo b/c it feeds me for two meals!

Meh. I've been here a few times and each time it seems to get a little less tasty. The chicken teriyaki was overcooked and undersauced. The yakisoba was bland. It was empty at 1pm on a weekend but it still took almost 15 minutes to get my to go order. I guess the most telling part is I live around the corner and haven't been here in six months. Meh.

I've been craving sesame chicken for awhile and no where in town really does it quite right. But today I saw a sign for spicy sesame chicken and just had to head in. Cute little place for lunch but most people were there to grab and leave. So I did the same. Boy do they serve up quick and with a smile. And nice and cheap too. I wished everything was little crispier but the sesame chicken was actually spicy. I was so happy. I'll definitely go back for some of the teriyaki. I've heard so many stories about how good it is.

    (4)
  • M J.

I have had much teriyaki in my day and some are bitter or sweet but this one is just right! They cooked the chicken to perfection and even the spicy chicken was flavorful but not over spiced, you'll love it! The sauce was sweet and covered the rice and chicken, most places always try and skimp on the sauce on take outs and you get home and there's not enough but not here! I'm telling you DO it! lol

Oh no, after my last few yelp-inspired restaurant choices have been so successful, I hate to have to write a downer review of this place. As the #1 yelping teriyaki place in Seattle, we had very high hopes for this. I mean, #1 out of all the thousands of teriyaki places around town-- it's got to be great, right? So, a bit hidden there behind the Metropolitan Market, but very warm and cherry on the inside. Extremely friendly and helpful staff. We went very standard-- egg rolls, beef, and spicy chicken teriyaki. All in all I have to say it was pretty average. Chicken definitely better than beef by a long shot. Eggrolls were just ok. I wasn't getting the kind of vibe that said I must come back often. In fact, I can't really see myself coming back at all, unless I happen to be right there and in the mood. As much as I'd like to, I just can't get on board.

I love Yummy. I was a little nervous at first. I mean. with a cheesy name like "Yummy" I thought I'd get screwed over. However, Yummy has proven to be the best teriyaki place in Seattle. Whether it's stirfry or their signature chicken teriyaki, Yummy Teriyaki does it right.

When I lived in Edmonds, the Yummy Teri there was "the best". Great flavor, great portions etc....Not sure if this is the same owners, but the Seattle place is very mediocre. Very Bland Teriyaki sauce, could be a generic Costco for all the lack of flavor it had. Salad was a joke with watered down tasteless dressing soaking a few bites of iceberg lettuce. All that for a somewhat "premium" teriyaki price range......disappointed

    (2)
  • Anna S.

Fitting name for a yummy teriyaki joint. This is quite possibly the bestest, cheapest, fastest teriyaki place I've ever been to, and I've eaten my fair share of teriyaki. The meat is of good quality, the sauces are never too this or too that, and they even give you extra sauce without having to ask or pay! Love that. The yakisoba noodles are one of my favorite things on the menu, and the dish is not doused in sauce, which can sometimes happen. Might I suggest the spicy teriyaki chicken? It gives it a nice little zing, without setting you aflame. I've never eaten in the dining room, but it is always clean and bright when I pick up my food. I just wish they were open a little later to accommodate my euro schedule.

I used to live directly across the street from this place. I could see the place from my living room and kitchen windows. There's nothing wrong w/ this place, but at the same time, nothing spectacular. The portions are okay but the prices are a little expensive for terriyaki. The egg rolls here were pretty good. I feel like if this place was better/cheaper, I would have ate here or gotten take out at least a couple times a week.

Sometimes you just get a teryaki craving. This place happens to be close by. The teryaki is mediocre. The salad that comes with it is probably the highlight. Nothing fancy just simple and plain. Beware callling in orders. Was placed on hold and forgotten about for 10 mins. Tried calling back and got busy signal so i just had to walk in. Took too long for simple teryaki. Maybe it was a bad day for them

This is one of the best take-out style teriyaki places I've been to. The Katsu is great and everything else I've tried has been exceptionally good. The restaurant has a nice, clean atmosphere, and a great location on the corner of Roy and First on Queen Anne. Prices are from about $6-$8 and the food is prepared pretty quick. There's another Yummy Teriyaki in Redmond as well, but their food isn't as good.

I starting eating here when they first opened as Himitsu Teriyaki. It is certianly good. Some of the best teriyaki in the city. They arn't stingy with the sauces either. Just ask and they will hook you up.

I just ran into this restaurant during my lunch hour. I'm not usually a fan of Teriyaki, so being in a hurry I asked if I could get their Chicken Udon soup to go. Absolutely! Friendly and fast service. I got back to the office with my treasure. Full of fat plump udon noodles, chicken breast strips that were tender, and lots of tender/crisp veggies. At first, I thought that the broth was a little bland. But I loved the goodies in the soup so much that I didn't take note of the broth. When I had a chance, I took a sip and amazing!!! The best broth I've ever had! Wonderful flavor - not too salty, not overdone. I would go back, just for their broth! I had a good portion left over and placed it in the refrigerator overnight and even better, hardly any of that icky fat that usually is in most soups. Go! Order the Chicken Udon Soup. You won't regret it!

i ordered chicken katsu and curry. the staff was friendly and attentive. the food was prepared quickly and it was great that they separated the salad from the rest of the hot food and the curry from the katsu so it would not get soggy. food was delish and i am a fan. i am very selective when it comes to japanese food and this definitely exceeded my expectations. thank you yummy teriyaki! i'll be back soon.

TOTAL RIP OFF AND SOOOOO RUDE. I ordered two veggie sushi rolls, and was charged nearly $14, and what I got was a tiny amount of sushi, mostly all cucumber (which is cheap) and a sliver of avocado. My husband (used to go) all the time and a big plate of chicken teriyaki is the same price as 4 bites of rice and cucumber. I even went back and said they must have charged me wrong, and he told me that was just how much they charge for barely any food. I asked to talk to a manager, and he said they were too busy and basically shooed me away. I then said my husband and I won't be returning again, to which he said he didn't care. Wow, great customer service. Not only that, I waited 20 minutes for those stupid rolls, and they didn't separate the wasabi in any way from the sushi, so wasabi (which I don't like) smeared all over the end rolls. Awesome. There was such a small amount of food to begin with, then take out the pieces covered in wasabi, and I was left with a few bites... $14 later and my stomach is growling like crazy. For the record, they've always been nice to my husband so perhaps they are just mean to women.

I have been here a dozen or so times and the food is decent. The teriyaki sauce is a little thin for my liking. The food is consistent The egg rolls and gyoza are delicious. Things I did not like: I did deliver from them once and when it got to my place (about 6 blocks away) the food was not as tasty as when you eat in.

I've only ever had delivery, but we have had it several times. The food's been pretty good, hadn't experienced the problems anyone's complained about here. 3-4 stars, probably. Good selection of teriyaki. However, my last delivery experience was so bizarre and off-putting that I'm uncomfortable ever ordering from them again. My fiancée and I use an online delivery ordering service (Eat24). We use it because it's convenient, remembers our past orders, has frequent coupons, reviews/pictures of dishes, etc. As per usual, I placed a teriyaki order through Eat24. The woman who delivered my order said in a no-nonsense tone "Next time, you call me directly, or use our website" and handed me a business card with the phone number circled. She repeated, "next time, call me directly!" Well, I mean... no? I'm not using the website to spite you, I'm ordering through the website because it's a good deal for me and it makes the process painless. I'm sorry if they charge you a fee or something, but honestly, that's not my problem. Raise your prices, negotiate with the business, don't involve me in a feud please. After that experience, they've been cut from our delivery rotation.

I am very disappointed in the service. I came there when there was a small group there, with an hour to eat before going back to my class just up the street. Then people started PURING IN after we ordered. The place got full, the diinner rush hour started. Around 6:10 pm.... People started receiving their orders before my boyfriend and I! The waiters also looked confused as to where the orders were going on the floor, and all they could say was: "sorry." when my boyfriend went up to the counter to tell them that we had been waiting for about 40 minutes for our food. I walked out, very angry. This is the kind of stuff that makes buisnesses close and lose customers. Also their teriyaki sauce is very sugary. They give you packets of Sweet and Sour that have High Fructose Corn Syrup in them. The california rolls are 'meh'. I wouldn't go here on a slightly busy day. I'm not going here again.

With a $15 order minimum for delivery, I ordered two rolls to be delivered to me at work late one night. Sorely disappointed that the rolls smelled really bad when they came. I'm afraid instead of sushi grade salmon, they used old icky fried fish. Needless to say, I wasn't able to enjoy (or eat) the meal. I'll go somewhere else next time. Sorry for the bad review, but I was really disappointed.

I am definitely a regular here and get Yummy at least a couple times a month! Their beef teriyaki is the best thing on their menu! The egg rolls are better than any others from similar restaurants around the area.

I eat here a lot. Nice people and good customer service. Food is good and fairly priced. Easy in and out. Yummy!

This is one of the best teriyaki places around! I always order a variation of the Sushi Bento box, and am always satisfied. The portions are large, the food is good, and the prices are decent, too. It's not a fancy restaurant by any means, but if you're looking for some great teriyaki- go here!

What is better than a good teriyaki place? A good teriyaki place with good sushi. What is better than a good teriyaki place with good sushi? A great teriyaki place with an extensive menu of great sushi! I'm so very, very impressed. To start... The egg rolls are delicious. I'm a fiend for the bigger, deep fried egg rolls with yummy pork and veggie fillings and these delivered big time. Very tired of the fried spring roll craze... yay egg rolls! The spicy teriyaki chicken was really good as well, good sauce, good flavor, plenty of rice... a tad small compared to other places but still good and two meals worth. The tofu yakisoba was good as well, although personally, I get a little bored with yakisoba after a few bites. I'm a meat n' rice kinda guy and save for pad see ew, I rarely choose noodles without someone else requesting them. Both the spicy salmon and spicy california rolls were delicious and came with ten full size pieces for five bucks each, a fantastic deal and portion for the price. Good fish, good spicy aioli, good rolls. The dynamite roll was also quite delicious - a simple shrimp tempura roll topped like a rainbow roll with assorted fish including delicious eel. This was also a full size roll, with eight pieces, so that the pieces of fish on top were kept bigger. I guarantee we will be ordering from Yummy again - fantastic!

"Yummy Teriyaki" is not yummy. The large teriyaki came flying out of the kitchen half a minute after I ordered, so it's it was undoubtedly not "cooked to order. Maybe it was microwaved from the previous day, for all I know. A couple of weeks earliero, I waited at 10-15 minutes for the combo beef-and-chicken teriyaki I had at MInna's, opposite the Egyptian Theater on Capitol Hill, but at least it was actually cooked to order--on a grill-! Mediocre, overpriced, slim on portions, tasteless teriyaki sauce, the all-iceberg lettuce salad an after-thought. If Trader Joe's sold chicken teriyaki, it would be better than this. WAIT! It DOES. And it's not bad at all... The older man was gruff and did even offer a simple "thank you" after I paid at the front. There used to be really good teriyaki places in Seattle, like Tokyo Teriykai in the U. District. Sadly, not anymore.

I ordered online: - Order was missing things I ordered - Wrong items were delivered - They are called "Yummy Teriyaki" and yet the chicken was like beef jerky and NOT yummy at all. - Egg rolls were cold - Overall, food was nasty I spent $46 and waited over an hour for food to throw in the trash.

Here's the thing. I just flew in, it was like 9pm (12am EST which is the time my body currently accepts as legit), and I was starving. The hotel I was staying at did not offer room service, and hiking around in a dark foreign city was not appealing. I checked out Seattle GrubHub and Yummy Teriyaki 1. delivered 2. let me order online. It takes very few things to entice me. So I ordered the Shrimp Tempura Udon, a Shrimp Tempura Roll and a Dragon Roll. The delivery was crazy fast, and it was pretty affordable. The food was good. Not awesome, not horrible, but edible and cooked appropriately. If that is a compliment, then great. My only huge issue was that they used an INSANE amount of rice on their rolls. It's good, but christ, I was like deep throat. Also, they are really upfront on the menu that they use fake crab, but you are in Seattle for Christ's sake. Use real crab.

I would have rated this place 5 stars, I eat here about 3 to 5 times a month. but recently they have lost my business due to an incident. I shall explain.... my girlfriend uses a website called GrubHub to order our food because she wins prizes and you get little things through their website, yummy teriyaki does not like the fact that we use this website and everytime we do it when they deliver they tell us to go through a different website. in our opinion if we order your food it doesn't matter where we order it through we are paying your company. this last time she was so rude to me that I did not give them a tip. I had three dollars in my hand waiting to give to her but they were so rude an adamant about us using a different website I refused to give them a tip. two days later I find that they changed us extra and gave themself a $2 tip on my credit card that I did not accept or know that they charged. Bs never going back.

I stopped going to Yummy Teriyaki after three blown experiences: 1. Fiance and I arrive to sit down for food. (They bring the menus to you and take your order as if it's a full service restaurant - different from most other spots I've been to.) After taking our order it was over 30 minutes until we got our food and there was only one other couple in the restaurant. In the mean time we watched walk-ins place their to-go orders and be out the door. What took so long for our food!? 2. Fiance and I arrived to sit down for food again. After 10 minutes of sitting in this small restaurant and having no one else there to keep the staff distracted like they were, we got up and walked out. 3. I called in a to-go order on my way home. Arrived, paid and they said it'd be a few minutes. I sat down and even once thought an order being brought out was mine... they said it wasn't. 15 minutes of sitting and someone finally asked what my name was. I gave my name and the staff person immediately pointed at a wrapped up bag that was my order - sitting on the counter by the register. The super frustrating part was that this bag, my bag, of food had been sitting at that register since the moment I walked in the door and paid. They then tried to tell me it had only been there for 5 minutes or so, but how could that be if I had been there the whole time waiting? After that last experience, I vowed to never go to this spot again. There is a teriyaki restaurant in Northgate that I LOVE and I can drive there, order and have my food faster than I can get food by driving a 1/2 mile to this spot and suffering the super long wait for food. To top it off, the food at the Northgate spot is $1-2 cheaper per entree. I suggest looking for other spots.

When it's good, the sweet & sour chicken is REAL good. The standard teriyaki chicken (and beef) are also pretty good (and more consistently so). They tend to go through waiters like kleenex, and none of their silverware matches. Because of the high turnover, when things get busy the staff usually isn't up to the challenge of a rush. If things aren't busy, I'd suggest giving them a try but if it looks crowded you might want to try somewhere else unless you have time to wait.

I'm really sorry to have to write this review as Yummy Teriyaki has been a frequent spot for my husband and I to satisfy our teriyaki cravings. Unfortunately, my husband has gotten food poisoning (all night, horrible stints) from their bento box. TWICE. He wanted to give them the benefit of the doubt the first time and assumed it was just his unfortunate luck but within 3 months to have it happen a second time sounds like they're not up to code with health regulations. Sorry, Yummy Teriyaki.

There was something very kind about the man that was working there. Aside from that, there was really nothing special or spectacular. It was food. The servings weren't especially big (or small), good (or bad), cheap (or expensive). I came here, I ordered, I ate, I paid, I left. I never felt the urge to return, and no longer work within walking distance so I doubt I ever will. It was all... a-ok. Three stars it is!

I have had the chicken teriyaki several times and it is delicious. Chicken is thinly sliced and the sauce is good...Not too thick. I will definitely go back often.

I've had better teriyaki that's for sure. You know its a bad sign when there is more rice than chicken on chicken teriyaki. It was ok tasting, nothing special. We tried to order online and then called for delivery, was told not tonight. We suspect there wasn't anyone working to deliver (it was a Sat. night). Spider roll was as expected. Overall it was ok, would rather pay a dollar more and get a normal portion of chicken.

NOT Yummy. Pardon me for being a teriyaki snob, (if there was such a thing.) I've worked at teriyaki shop back in the day and being Korean, nearly 90% of my parents' friends own one or a dozen. I got the spicy chicken and it was dry, chewy and difficult to finish. And the salad was drenched in dressing and about 4 bites worth. I've had the best sweet sesame dressing at a place in Kent and the beauty of take-out is placing the dressing in an individual container so that by the time you're back home/office, your lettuce doesn't look like a sad, mushy mess. The service was excellent and quick and the interior is cozy and accommodating. But such forgettable teriyaki shouldn't be $7.99 in the first place.

First and last time here. I ordered a delivery meal and it was already cold when it arrived. We got a few appetizers and only two of the six were good (not great) and two were thrown away because they were flat out terrible. Never coming here again.

every time i go to this place i always tell myself it will be the last time but since i live so close i seem to always give it another chance every 6 months or so. as others have mentioned this placed is named incorrectly. i've lived in seattle my whole life and have been to 40+ different teriyaki restaurants and have to put this near the bottom. their portions are much smaller, generally over cooked and over priced compared to other teriyaki restaurants in the area. i typically get spicy chicken or short rib and and at best, it's average. teriyaki bowl down the street is far better.

my go to teriyaki place in queen anne. I typically get the a bento box and love their katsu. The staff is kind and remembers their regulars; always nice. Also, they always have something good to watch on their big screen.

This place has great egg rolls. That's the only thing I've had on the menu that is good. Everything this else is isn't very good and the sushi is downright terrible. I couldn't even finish my roll. The fish on top of the Rainbow Roll was not fresh, some pieces were slimy. The Spider Roll was even worse. I am genuinely worried about getting sick after eating some of that Rainbow Roll. If you want a good egg roll, hit this place up. Stay away from everything else on the menu.

They're actually a bit pricier than I expected. Two entrees with a little tip is almost $20. Not exactly cheap teriyaki. I've had the standard chicken and spicy chicken teriyaki before; it wasn't exceptional and certainly didn't convince me that there was a good place to go for teriyaki in my area. Tonight, they gained a little cred on the food side. We had the short ribs and General Tsao chicken. One criticism is that they don't seem to give enough for the money. Maybe it's just appearances, but at $9, the container should be fairly full. I don't even know what the "small" portion would have looked like at only $1 less. The little side salad was a throwaway addition. I did like the rice. For some, I know it would be too underdone, but I like rice with some bite to it. Something you can really chew on. Kinda like rice krispie treats but with al dente rice. The short ribs were mighty tasty. Very well seasoned. I was using the rice to sop up the sauce. Though they could have given a couple more rib sections. The sauce for the general tso's was quite acceptable and had a great authentic, sticky consistency. I was a bit disappointed that they have surcharges for a lot of things. One such charge was for actual vegetables in your yakisoba. It's so expensive already! I'm not about to drop $10 for a plate of yakisoba! I should have grabbed some of those fortune cookies....

Yummy is the perfect name. One of the best places to get teriyaki in town! It's never let me down, and the teriyaki usually never consists of what I like to call "dicey meat pieces" (is that really chicken?). The sweet owner will take your order at your table, and bring out miso soup while you're waiting. Get the small portion - it's a buck or two cheaper and almost the same size as the regular. Mmmmm!

Wow. I'm not usually one to give one-star ratings to restaurants, but this place was REALLY bad. As my usual m.o., I was looking for a place that delivered and last night, I had a hankering for Japanese food. I ordered a "Create Your Own Bento Box" w/ salmon teriyaki and a spider roll. I also ordered a Las Vegas roll, out of shear curiosity. My conclusions: Salmon teriyaki: Salmon was WAAAAY over cooked, almost dry. I also agree with another review on this site - what is up with that teriyaki sauce? That's NOT teriyaki sauce, but sugar sauce. Too sweet for my taste. Spider roll: I don't know who their sushi chef is, but he needs to be retrained. I couldn't pick up any pieces of sushi without it falling apart. Definitely not rolled tightly enough. Also, is it just me or is their deep-fried crab dried out too? Gyoza: I think this was the only good part of my meal. Maybe because it's the only thing on the plate close to Chinese food, which there seemed to be plenty of on their menu. Too bad there were only 2. Salad: I don't even know what kind of dressing was supposed to be on here, but it was watered down grossness. Whatever happened to good miso salad dressing? I took one bite and tossed the rest. Las Vegas roll: It was alright. I know that this might sound weird to some, but it was too big. And it had too much salmon, which overpowered the sushi. Sushi is supposed to be a size where you can put the whole bite in your mouth at once so that you can enjoy all the flavors mixed together. Not the case with this sushi. Good thing I was at home so I could stuff my face. I definitely would not order this while in the company of others. I may not order it again in the future at all, just because the flavors were not balanced. Tempura: I don't know how it's possible, but my tempura was both undercooked, and soggy. I can blame the sogginess due to amount of deliveries the guy had to make, but undercooked? It was as though they just quickly flash fried the veggies without even seeing if they were done. Overall verdict - Do not expect actual Japanese food when ordering from here. If I try again, I'll just think of them as a Chinese restaurant pretending to serve Japanese food.

Really disappointing. I had sushi, my sister had stir fry. The sushi was so bad I didn't eat it, but the server gladly accepted our cash w/out questioning why nothing had been touched. The stir fry was below average but edible. Not yummy teriyaki, yucky.

Nothing overly special about this place. Good if you want to grab a quick, and pretty good meal. I got the spicy teriyaki chicken which was very good. The salad on the side was simple, yet very enjoyable as well. I won't be rushing back here anytime soon, but I can't say I had a bad experience at all.

Please correct me if I'm wrong, but the Yakisoba definitely tastes as though it's MSG-filled. It was much too "tasty." THAT said, it was VERY tasty! Ha... The younger woman on the wait staff was a little all over the place and unattentive. Most dishes are around $8.99.

Just moved to the neighborhood a couple days ago & ordered delivery from here because we haven't gone grocery shopping yet. The food was just okay: my boyfriend got the spicy chicken bento box and I got the chicken breast bento box. The chicken was decent quality, but cut into extremely thin strips. It looked like chicken ribbons! LOL. I maybe had one (small) chicken breast total...which I guess it okay since that's a serving size, but for $10 it's ridiculous-- no leftovers no matter how you slice it (ha!). The egg roll they substituted for the California roll listed on the menu when I chose to order this particular item was not so good-- I didn't finish it, which is saying a lot because I can't remember a time in my entire life that I haven't finished an egg roll. I was a bit outraged that they made this substitution given the whole reason I ordered this dish was for the sushi. It would have been cheaper to just order chicken teriyaki minus the fried sides. The gyoza were okay as well- again, three stars worth. My meal came with two huge scoops of white rice which hadn't been listed on the menu, which is why I ordered a side of brown rice for $3 which was a rip-off given the small portion and a waste since I now had twice as much rice as necessary. The salad in my bento box was good, but way too small (literally two forkfuls)-- I would have preferred more salad and less white rice. I probably won't order from here again even though it's practically across the street from me, particularly because I was so disappointed that they substituted egg rolls for sushi rolls for both meals-- NOT okay!!! I would never pay $10 for that meal ever again...rice, fried food, 2 forkfuls of iceberg lettuce, and a meager chicken breast. Really disappointing. I only gave three stars because it was delivered sooner than the initial estimate and it filled me up when I was hungry. I'll stick with Teriyaki Bowl from now on.

Consistently good. I like Yummy Teriyaki, but my stomach is so sensitive, Y T loves to dislike me. I enjoy the wonton soup and the short ribs combo. I have been going almost every week-yikes! I like the fact that the entrees are made after the order is placed. TiP: Ask for extra napkins. Lemon and lime wedges are not available. Beverage options are limited. Tea but no plain hot water is available(?). With an order of an entree, a can of soda is free. Service is good.

Nice place, convenient location. A place where you can actually sit and have a meal. I had the beef yakisoba. I asked for it to be spicy - which isn't on the menu - happily obliged, I also got it with snow peas for an extra buck. I like that the noodles had veggies in them including broccoli, carrot and zucchini. The flavor was pretty good, but was too sweet for my taste. If felt like it was drowning in sticky sweet teriyaki sauce. The spiciness was good, a slow burn that you don't get till the end. I appreciated that each table has a collection of accoutrement that you can use to enhance your food. To me this means dousing everything with siracha. I'll be back but I'll ask for less sauce.

This place is like a staple at work. The boys at work go in and the ladies there just take one look at them and go "the usual?" I've had the chicken teriyaki and the spicy chicken teriyaki and all have been pretty darn tasty. I went to lunch with the guys the other day and two of them ordered the yakisoba and I'm thinking I NEED to try that the next time I go visit there because it looks darn good.
