Went for dinner on Valentines Day. Randomly chose this restaurant and very happy with the choice. Arrived a little bit earlier than reservation time and was promptly seated. Menu was very deep in choices and it took a few minutes to decide. Ordered Spring Rolls as an appetizer and we had a Phad Thai and Penang Curry as the entrees. Food was excellent. By far some of the best Thai food that I have encountered in the Northwest. Everything was very fresh and cooked to perfection. Ordered 3 star and I will have to say that it was one of the hottest 3 stars that I have encountered. The service was nothing short of outstanding. We were waited on by the owner of the restaurant. She was constantly moving between tables. Never intrusive but very attentive. She was overly concerned that our food was taking to long to arrive because of the number of take out orders that had been placed and compensated us on our bill because of this. For dessert we tried the black sticky rice. I would have liked it a bit sweeter but the texture was spot on. This will definitely be a place that we return to in the future.

It took an hour and ten minutes for barely edible, cold food to be delivered. Awesome. Here's a breakdown of what we ordered.... Crab wontons: completely cold and soggy by the time they were delivered. I understand quality suffers from time to time when you order delivery but it was unacceptable how cold and mushy these were. Pineapple fried rice: had the potential to be delicious. There's a "touch of curry" which sounded like it would be great in contrast with the sweetness of pineapple. Unfortunately their idea of a "touch of curry" (as stated on their menu) was an excessive amount which totally overwhelmed the dish. It didn't taste very good at all and before we ate it we microwaved it because it was THAT cold. Swimming Angel: their menu described this as "Sauteed chicken, pork or beef with stir fried fresh vegetable variety topped with special secret recipe homemade peanut sauce." I was initially disappointed with this dish because based on the description I thought it would be more of a stir fry, but it was chicken over spinach with a side of peanut sauce. While my assumption that this would be stir fry was completely incorrect and it's not the restaurant's fault I assumed wrong (their menu description isn't very helpful though), it was still a poor dish. The chicken was cold, dry, and completely unseasoned and the spinach was past it's prime, unseasoned, and barely cooked. The side of white rice was completely cold as well. Delivery options in the area are limited. So I guess pizza/pasta only from now on.

I love Thai food, and when a Groupon came up for a new place right on the beach, I jumped at the opportunity to go. While the portion size was good, I ordered a 2 star entree and was met with something that resembled a bowl of peppers. It was easily a 4 or 5 star, while my girlfriend ordered a 0 star and got a lot of heat as well. The restaurant itself was good - clean, good ambiance, and had a beautiful view. Not the best, and not the worst, Thailanding on Alki is in the middle of the road.

Discovered this little gem just a few blocks from my house - and they DELIVER too! Yay! Decided to try them in person first so I ventured up the staircase to the restaurant. It's kind of obscure as it's over top of a Mexican restaurant. It was worth the short climb. I was greeted and seated immediately. The staff was warm and friendly, attentive without hovering. When I requested additional soy sauce (theirs is delicious!) it was brought quickly. I ordered potstickers and wonton soup. I tend to judge everyone on their potstickers right up front. These were some of the best potstickers I've had - and I'm pretty picky about them! They were flavorful and lightly fried, not greasy or heavy at all. Just the right amount of crisp. The soup was excellent, generously supplied with wontons and veggies. Pleasantly, I found it lightly salted rather than overly salty as is common. The orders the other patrons placed were brought quickly and the portions appeared generous. They have a small balcony with outdoor seating, and the advantage of being up off the street is the view is lovely even from inside the restaurant! I will definitely be checking in again, and will try out the delivery service too!

We've been twice in the last 2 weeks. The first time we ordered panang curry 2 stars and got panang 4 stars. When we mentioned it to the server, he told brought the serving dish back to the kitchen, then came back and us they didn't add any spice. The flavor underneath the spice was decent and the phad kee mao was decent, so we gave it another shot because they had a group on deal. Tonight they got both our orders completely wrong. Mine was quickly replaced but my friend's still wasn't done over the next 20 minutes so we got it to go. The waiter was very apologetic, but they didn't offer a discount and multiple other people who ordered after us were brought their food while we waited for them to get our orders right.

Love their Orange Chicken, Phad Thai and Potstickers. We live on Alki Point and eat here whenever we can. The food is extremely tasty and the service is also good. I particularly recommend the above mentioned dishes. Nice, clean bathrooms and pleasant decor with a great view.

Have eaten here several times and never been disappointed with the food. Service can be a bit iffy at times, but nothing bad. Have dined in and ordered from Eat24 (quick prep!) and the experience has been consistently pleasant. Their Thai Iced tea is pretty good. Drunken noodles (Pud Kee Mao), and curries (Panang!) are easy favorites, though we have yet to taste something we dislike (have tried Pud Cha, Pud mee, and almost all curries) . In fact, it's the only Thai food place that hasn't yet disappointed my better half. The outdoor seating is a delight on nice days! The only surprise is that the place isn't packed, but we'd enjoy that while it lasts.

Meh. If this place didn't have outdoor seating right on Alki I'd never come here. As it is, it is a decent place to eat on a gorgeous summer day. Pretty standard Thai food.

Months ago I wrote a 1 star review for this place. I would like to inform all yelpers that this place has changed dramatically. New cooks, and most especially a new manager his name is Jay. Jay exemplifies the true meaning of amazing customer service. Julie the owner made a good decision in putting him in charge. I've been a regular since and I truly recommend this restaurant to all yelpers who's visiting the beach or people who live near by.I would rate the food a 10! Be sure to get the crispy garlic chicken! I could eat that everyday. The thai ice tea is amazing! You just can't eat there without the thai iced tea.

I found Thailanding through Groupon, and purchased a Groupon for $20 dinner for 2, paying $9.99. So glad I did not have to pay full price for that experience! We went on a Sunday evening around 7pm and found not one other person dining there. Every other restaurant along that street was busy. We soon found out whythis one wasn't We arrived inside, and had to announce ourselves to two lounging employees.. With only one table to take care of, it took forever for the waiter to come take our order, which only happened after frantically waving at him! We ordered 2 noodle dishes, one with 1 "star" level of spice and one with 2 "stars". Both were nearly too spicy hot to eat, ( more like 3 and 4 stars) but I soldiered on with my 2? star, and we sent back the Pad Thai dish, s asking for very mild please. ( it is a dish never described as "spicy" in any other Thai restaurant I've been to). The waiter was incredibly indifferent, but eventually brought the new dish. If a place is very busy, I can understand having to wait a bit, but this was pure indifference, bordering on contempt from the waitstaff, that we would dare to bring them work to do. We will never go back, and suggest you save your money for somewhere that appreciates your business.

This is my favorite Thai restaurant. It has fabulous views of the water and the best Tom Ka Gai in West Seattle. And the Pad Si Yew is pretty terrific too!

    (4)
  • Susan M.

The Tom Yum soup here is so delicious - you must try it. However, don't stop there - go for a spicy four stars when you order the Larb Gai - a simple mixture of chicken and lime juice and on the side, the beef salad with tomatoes, cucumber and chili lime dressing. The service is fun and the views are amazing - especially on a summer night. Good food and the beach. Prices are reasonable.

We've ordered delivery from Thailanding a number of times now, and I'm consistently impressed with the quality. The food is always hot and fresh, and holds it's own against some of the better Thai food in Seattle.

  • B B.

I only tried this place once- and that was enough. Sure, the food was delivered and I know the food is not going to be 100% when it is delivered. It gets a bit cold, etc. BUT, this was awful, truly awful. I tried the crispy garlic chicken and something I can't even remember. That chicken was pure rubber. It was so tough and dry, I could only eat a couple bites. Ick. Not worth the price. 5/5/2013 Update in response to owner comment: Thank you for your response. But I want to reiterate, this was not an issue of the food being cold. It was an issue of overcooked, HARD, rubbery food. It had been cooked way too long and dried out.

Great service and very good food. I don't know why they aren't busier even when Alki is packed on a sunny day. The reason I'm not giving them 5 stars is because the seating outside is a bit dirty, but their food makes up for it. I've been here twice and haven't been disappointed yet.

  • Pajci N.

My family went to eat here on a beautiful sunny day at Alki beach. Food we order: Angel wings (stuff chicken wings) pad thai, thai landing fried rice, & egg noodle. Food was good but I had better. Service was ok to good. They were nice and helpful. Didn't have to wait to long for the food. The only thing is they increase the price on the fried rice without really updating their menu. For $3 more for the fried rice, I was hoping to get more than 2 pcs of shrimp and 3 pcs of dime size scallops. Hahha!! Overall experiences, would have been 5 stars.

It's thursday. I ordered for delivery pad kee mao with tofu, veggie delight and brown rice through "eat24" which is a website my sister recommended. 1 hour goes by and no food, so I message the website and they apologize for the wait, that I should expect my food in 10-15 minutes. So 20 minutes goes by and a man drops off the food. The noodles are dried together, food is lukewarm, brown rice is mush, and the veggie delight contains CHICKEN! I'm a vegetarian, but I'm reasonable so Ipick it out and let the delivery service know about the error. And so far I haven't gotten anything from the restaurant. But all I can say is food is BAD and service is bad. I don 't recommend it. I won't be eating there again and I won't be ordering through "eat24".

Wow! This place is great. We have ordered from here a couple times now, and what stands out most to me, besides the excellent food, is the service! The most recent experience actually started out on what could have been a negative note, as they forgot the rice. But when I called in and asked them to return with the rice we ordered, the woman who answered the phone was extremely apologetic, and it was a rare instance where I actually felt like the person on the other side of the transaction actually understood and cared about what the person on this side of the transaction was experiencing. They assured us that it would not happen again, and dropped everything and sent us an extra large portion immediately to make up for the mistake. The other thing that made this experience stand out more than any other delivery experience ever: the delivery guy! He was awesome! The most friendly person that has ever delivered us anything (besides our mailman - he is amazing as well!) But this guy was just an extremely sincere and friendly person and I very much enjoyed dealing with him. We had just had a baby a week before, and he saw me with her, and congratulated us, and told us that he had just had a baby as well, and and he just was a great, friendly guy, and he is the reason I am giving this 5 star review. He really is doing a good job for his employers. I think his name was Dan. It says Dan on the receipt, anyway. What a great guy. Thank you Thailanding for an excellent experience!!! And thank you Dan for embodying excellent customer service!!!

I bought the recent Groupon and used it that very night. Thailanding is a small place on the 2nd floor of the building adjacent to Pepperdock. Fairly busy for a Wednesday night and half the tables were full. The staff was friendly, but the main guy who was running the show had to run off to do a delivery. We ordered the larb gai, pad see ew and panang curry with a side of rice. I thought the larb gai was to be eaten like a lettuce wrap thing, but it only came with a wedge of cabbage - couldn't decide if we were supposed to do something with it, or if it was just for looks. Ate some and took the rest home to eat in the iceberg lettuce that I had. The noodles were good but had some Asian greens instead of the usually broccoli. The curry had great flavor but was super hot even though it was ordered as a 2 star dish. Only drawback to the place is that it's hard to find parking down at Alki, even on a cold mid-week evening.

The food is a bit overpriced, but the service is always friendly. I tend to go for the noodle dishes which are really good. I get 0 starts and that means 0 starts. We live right down the road, so I tend to order them alot. The have free delivery within a certain distance.

Very pleasant experience after I bought a Groupon and took some out of town visitors there for dinner. I had the Crispy Garlic Chicken w/Brown Rice. YUMMY. My mom had the Garlic Chicken Stir Fry, another guest had Pud Thai and there were no complaints at all. Staff was very friendly and can't wait to go back!

Good stuff! Had the Panang Curry with beef and wife had the garlic beef stirfry both very good. heat level 3 which was plenty; not sure you want to go much higher unless you really, really like hot food. Curry sauce was very good, beef soaks it up and get some brown rice to sop up the rest. also had the crab wonton for an app and it was tasty, not overly fried. attentive service. does take out and some delivery too.

We came mid-afternoon on a Sunday. They took forever to take our orders, and way too long to deliver the food. They never delivered several items that we asked for and delivered several items that we did not order. Our bill included all the items we didn't order and one alcoholic beverage that we neither ordered nor received, but they removed the alcohol when we brought it to their attention. They apparently charge for white rice, and we were charged for 4 bowls, but only received three. When we asked, they refused to correct this error, they refused, claiming that each bowl was actually two orders of rice, and that we were undercharged. Each "order" was charged at $1.50. They also added a mandatory gratuity, without any advance notice. The food, however, was pretty good, although the portions were small.

This restaurant is the best Thai food in Seattle! I come in all the time to get the orange chicken. They recently they redid the place and added some new staff. The new waitress (short brown/black hair in ponytail, 18-20s, great smile) is very attentive and waited on me with a pleasant smile. However the other waitress did not seem to really care about helping anyone out. She would run the food out and then I'd never see her again... I wasn't so happy to see this type of thing happening at a restaurant I love to eat at. I think the manager should rethink a member of their staff. I still come in to eat almost every Friday and I will continue to be a loyal customer. My only opinion is to have ALL the staff participate in all the restaurants aspects.

Yes, yes, yes. With such a great location, it's about time someone knew how to actually make outstanding Thai food. I've been there several times since it changed hands from the mediocre Siam Pura. The food is great and lovingly prepared and the sunset on Alki is stunning. Go, now.

I would give this place 2.5 stars if possible, but it doesn't warrant the full 3. We visited on a slow week night and so the service was prompt. The prices seemed a bit higher than average. We had Pad Thai with shrimp and this was quite good and tasty; the mini egg rolls were also good as were the fish cakes. However, the orange chicken was really dry and lacked flavor. We also ordered the chicken at 2 stars (yes, I'm a wimp) but it was more like a 3-4 - so, all we were left with was a hot and spicy experience without the flavor and moistness. I am not sure if I would try this place again as there are many choices for good Thai food in West Seattle.

Absolutely horrible!!!!! Please don't go here. My dish smelled like wet dog. Everyone with me hated it. Terrible service. Never got refills. We didn't eat our food and they refused to refund us. Just stay away from here!!!!!! Go to El Chupacabra on the first floor. Amazing.

We went to Thailanding tonight - sunny Wednesday ~ 7 pm - and the service was actually pretty good. I don't doubt the other reviewers must have have received bad service, but we called in while a few blocks away, they held a table, greeted us by name, were quick to take our order, delivered with a smile, and were prompt with the bill. Pot stickers and Pud See Ew were very good. Panang curry was ok. Biggest problem I experienced was parking. Impossible to find a parking spot in Alki. Drove around for a long time and ultimately parked a half a mile away.

The food was run of the mill Thai. There was nothing that set it apart from all the rest of the Thai restaurants. I feel that the extra $4.00 they charged for seafood tom yum soup was close to a rip off. Also, I ordered 5 stars Pad Thai and I suspect that they messed my order up because I didn't even break a sweat. When I mentioned this to the staff they seemed indifferent. But the service overall wasn't bad. The night we went was pretty busy and the staff did a good job staying on top of things. The price was a bit higher than I expected but I suspect this is only because of the location. So considering the good and bad, I think this is a good restaurant to dine at if you are in the area and want some Thai food . Not bad but not great.

I read the previous Yelp reviews for this restaurant and decided to give this place a try. So, my husband and I went there in the last week and we both enjoyed every bit of our meal. We ordered the Garlic Chicken, Pud Thai, and Spicy Green Beans. The Crack..I mean Garlic Chicken looks and tastes exactly like the Crack Chicken at Budda Ruksa and it is a little cheaper too! Hallelujah!!! The Pud Thai and Spicy Green Beans were delicious as well. But, anyone that can cook up Garlic Chicken like Budda Ruksa is awesome in my book! The employees that worked that night were all so nice. The only suggestion I have is that they need music. When we arrived there was no music and the television was on with no volume on. Rather than that we will definitely be going back.

Went here for the first time and will definitely be back. Everything, spring rolls, pot stickers, Mongolian beef, won ton soup, was great. One caution. I got the won ton soup with heat at number 5. It is hot. I will get it at 5 again but it is quite hot. I actually at about half there and brought the rest home which I mixed in with a homemade chicken soup and loved it. cliff

Went on a double date here with a few other 20ish year olds. Not only was the food amazing, but the service was awesome. Very professional and quick. We had a great seat outside overlooking the water it was definitely how I wanted to start my friday night. I happened to leave my iPhone 5 at the restaurant that night, and the management made every effort to make sure that I got it back, including driving it all the way back to University District to make sure I received it in my hands. I will definitely be going back and recommend that you give it a try.

I saw the groupon online for $12 which valued at $25, so i purchased it and took my friend there for his bday dinner on 10/29- Monday night. we found parking right across the street along the beach, i havent been to alki in over 1 year, but it all looks the same, no difference, right when we got into the restaurant, there was 1 waitress assisting another table, we sat down and waited for her to come over and give us menus and pour us water, she came over and kept apologizing for being so busy, but there was only 2 tables, including ours, oh well, that must be busy for her, when then proceeded to order, we ordered crab wonton, angel wings, pad see ew, panang curry and basil fried rice. on the menu it states that angel wings are $5 and it comes with 1 wing, but the waitress checked and said it comes in 3, so we said great, good deal, we'll get it, upon placing our order, there was a male waiter who confirmed that the wings are only 1, so we said instead of that, we;ll take spring rolls instead, get our $ worth. the wings came out, and i think there must have been some misunderstanding b/c we said no wings, we wanted spring rolls instead after find out there would only be 1 wing, so the male noticed a little struggle and said "its ok, sorry my fault, ill give it you guys for free" we said OK thank, "thats fine", the waitress thought we meant "thats fine" as in we wanted it and were going to pay for it, so we made sure that the spring rolls were cancelled off of our list. our food arrived, the pad see ew was flavorful, with good tender beef, we really enjoyed the chinese brocolli they used, and the panang curry chicken was creamy and perfect spice level, the basil fried rice pork we got could have been a little more flavor, but it was OK, our food was good and we were satisfied, it is a little bit out of our way, but if in the area again, we'd def come back to this place.

Love their papaya salad- best one in Seattle so far. The portions are good, and the staff is always friendly! Basil fried rice is good as well, but I'm not impressed with their pad thai.

I use to love this place. But it's been closed and reopened so many times. Just not the same. I went here last weekend for dinner with my girlfriends. The decor stayed about the same but I did notice new staff and management. Price here definitely went up and food honestly was not very good to me. There was 3 of us so we just chose a dish each to share. We ordered Tom yum soup with chicken 3stars, drunken noodles with pork 3stars, and Thai chicken wings. The wait for the food took longer than most places. I usually love drunken noodle where ever I go but I really did not like it here. It has a very strong bamboo shoot smell and taste. Really ruined the dish for me and it wasn't even spicy at all. That was one of the thing I really loved about this place was how spicy food was but I guess it is under new management. We sent the wings back because they weren't cooked all the way through and my friend didn't want to order again and wait for the new ones to come out. I really enjoyed the flavor of the Tom yum soup but I caught myself having to avoid all the things added into the sop for seasoning like lemongrass and the kaffir leaves. I don't think I'll be coming back anymore. The food just wasn't good enough to wanna come back.

Everybody is SO friendly here, we love it as a family! The food is really good and so is the view. Sometimes, it takes a little while before your get your food, but that makes the whole experience even more enjoyable and relaxing. You can enjoy the sunset while waiting and take the time to... do nothing!

The food was terrible. I ordered the drunken noodles and the noodles were soggy and overcooked and almost sour. The spices were okay, but I couldn't really tell that it was drunken noodles. I ended up wishing that I went elsewhere.

    (2)
  • Chris B.

This place is decent but does have some issues. The food is good but can be overly spicy. The last time I brought out-of-towners here, they could not even eat their dishes even though they asked for mild spiciness. Another issue is probably symptomatic of its location which is the amount of drunken customers. A few times I have been there I could not hear conversations at my own table because of the screaming drunks at the other end of the dining room. This is not helped by the fact that they have a TV mounted on the wall that is turned up to HIGH. It does have an amazing view of the water, cars, beach and people.

Stopped here after a visit to Alki because my 3 year old wanted noodles. Deciding between pad Thai and pad see ew I asked my daughter, "skinny dry noodles or wide and slippery noodles?" She said skinny dry so we got pad Thai. Also ordered calamari and spring roll appetizers. Spring rolls came straight from Costco and the calamari probably did too -- they were the size of onion rings and over-fried to an orange crisp. Very fishy flavor, not good at all, with a single spoonful dollop of sweet sauce served on the side. The PAD THAI.... None of us could even bring fork to mouth for a taste. It was not dry like it should be but rather a wretched goopy mess that gave off an overwhelming stench of rancid fish sauce. I am no stranger to Thai food and the use of fish sauce; I make pad Thai at home on occasion. This was a sloppy disgusting mess that made us sick to smell it. I counted my losses and paid the $25 bill in typical non-confrontational Seattle manner. I told the guy we didn't like it at all and I was offered no replacement dish or discount. Money down the drain. I still feel nasty just thinking about that food. I really don't like to jump in and leave a negative review after one visit, but if you're in the area reading this and considering a stop for food, I recommend you try El Chupacabra downstairs instead, I sure wish I had.

Second time trying this place. The first time, we never actually received our delivery order. We called to check on our order twice. The second time, they told us they hadn't started cooking our food yet, and, in order to cook it, they would have to stay open late (at this point, it was two hours after we called in our order). We told them to forget it. Today, we tried them again, because they were on bite squad. We hadn't used bite squad before, but had heard good things. We thought they must have gotten their act together to be affiliated with bite squad. Estimated time was one hour out. Not great, but on a Saturday night, we didn't think much of it. One and a half hours after placing the order, we called. Our driver time was still a half hour out. We complained to bite squad. They gave us half off our order. Our order came almost exactly two hours after completing an online order on bite squad. The flavor was good, but the food was cold. We had to microwave it, which made the chicken taste overcooked. Adios Thailanding.

I will not be coming back here due to poor customer service. I have been a repeat customer for over a year, but went in for dinner tonight & they refused to honor the entertainment coupon and they didn't have a liquor license. So when it came time to pay the bill- we ended up paying double than expected. The new owners need to get their crap together. We will not be going back.

This is maybe 2.5 star. But it's because of the nice lady coming out and check on us, fast water refill, and nice ambiance. Even on a rainy day, they still fill half of the restaurant. My review will be mainly about the food because it's terrible here. They need to have a NEW chef. This is my 3rd try of this place so I can make concrete conclusion. I have very high standard on Thai food and this is way below the standard here in Seattle. Chicken Satay looks great but taste mediocre & the peanut sauce is way too sweet. Scallop in Garlic Sauce is salty and smell like old baby corn. If you buy canned baby corn and left it outside for a day, that's exactly the smell. Pad Thai was also salty. I think it's because we ordered 5-star spicy and they used salt pepper or something. I had to drink water like no tomorrow. The Pad Thai is also too watery. A good Pad Thai supposed to have noodles a little dry and burn with the right taste. I'm not seeing that here. So after 3 times eating here, if I come to Alki for a run and need Thai food, I rather get back in my car and drive few minutes away. Would not come back.

The negative reviews of this restaurant mean nothing. It is extremely delicious and well priced for the quality. The employees and owners are super respectful, polite, and caring. If you want an amazing experience with really good thai food (not to mention quick service) this is the place to go. Don't be fooled by people's pettiness, try it for yourself.

The food was good. Ordered through delivery and for being roughly 10 for each my beef and broccoli and panang curry they should have at least delivered it with rice. Also if you order 0 spicy it's still hot. Didn't feel well the next day. Lots of time in the bathroom.

This restaurant gets a three based overall. The food was ok but not the best Thai food I've had. I've definitely had better but I gave it a three because it is a nice quiet romantic place for dinner. I came here with my girlfriend and we hadn't had a date night for awhile so we saw this place on groupon and decided to give it a try. The restaurant seemed to know their food wasn't the best so they try to make up for it in other places. The service was great and they played slow romantic music over the speakers to set the mood. They also had blue and pink wine glasses to hold the water. The view was nice. Ultimately I do recommend this place for a date but I wouldn't recommend it for the food. I'm not saying the food was nasty. It was just ok It was nice to see the water during our meal and to take a stroll down alliance after our meal. We got three dishes. Thai garlic wings. Which tasted great. I highly recommend the garlic wings. Pud Thai was good too and the pud keep mao was just ok.

I was quite satisfied with the food here. I was a bit skeptical about the food AND the service from the past Yelp reviews I read, but both were okay. The service was a bit slow and he didn't check on us much, being that there were only 3 other tables of people there at the time who already had their food, but they weren't rude and did get us everything we needed when we asked for it. I do have to say, their "crab wontons" (also known as crab ragoon, butterfly, crab wraps, etc.) are some of the best that I've ever had. I was surprised as how well their Pad Thai tasted too. The picture I saw here on Yelp made it look like this other place that has HORRIBLE Pad Thai and from other past experience, it usually is disgusting if it's bright red. But again, I really liked the Pad Thai here. I'll be back... Probably in the summer since they have a really nice view. And the fact that it was freezing cold when they went. I swear they don't have heaters in there! :(

Ordered delivery online Masaman curry & Panang curry plus spring rolls. Delivery arrived in 45 minutes as promised. However, the spring rolls were obviously reheated frozen ones like you buy at the grocery store, and there was NO RICE. We essentially had two containers of curry soup. Shouldn't rice dishes come WITH RICE? Apparently not. We called & the guy just kept saying "doesn't come with rice." Yes, we figured that out, but why not? They said that yes people eat it without rice. Hmmm. I can't imagine that. My husband's dish was ordered "spicy" but was definately "medium," while my dish was ordered "medium" but I couldn't taste any spice at all. I dumped a bunch of ceyenne on mine just to add some flavor. However, I am impressed with the good quality of the chicken. It was good, not tough grisle chicken like some places. If it had been spicier, it would've been great. Much to our surprise, someone called my phone about 30 min after we got our meal & said they were downstairs with rice. Unfortunately I'd already made my own rice so we could eat or meals, but I appreciated the effort. I would try this place again, but I would not get delivery again because there are too many chances for mistakes.

My husband and I got hooked on this place by purchasing a Groupon. That being said, we go back and back again and are happy to pay full price. Our favorites -- the classic pad Thai and the sweet and spicy chicken is absolute amazing. Quaint place with friendly staff. Highly suggest you stop in!

Love coming here with groupons. I found that it is actually still pricey though. I think every time I came I ended up spending 30 total (with the group-on) and another person. It is nice and convenient by the beach. I liked their papaya salad.

We were pleasantly surprised with this gem we found with a restaurant.com certificate. First of all the service was amazing!!! They genuinely cared if we liked the food or not. Second, the food was great. I had the drunken noodles with fried tofu at a level 4 spicy and thought it was very flavorful and had depth of flavor. Last but not least was the great location. We got a window seat with a beach/water view and even though it was foggy it was still nice. Overall this was a very great place to come for lunch with great service.

One thing that I've learned is that if there is NO ONE else at a restaurant at prime times, turn and walk away, however I had a groupon that needed to be used, so we stayed. The location is in a decent place, great for tourists and locals, we planned on eating inside, but after walking in, we realized that there was NO air flow inside, and it was HOT, and muggy inside, so we quickly changed our minds, and decided to eat outside, while little birdies kept visiting us (yes birdies are cute, and fun, but not where you're eating, no not so cute). I know that groupon says to show your groupon prior to ordering, but I will never show it until it's time to pay ever again, because we just seem to get so gypped if we show it before we order, and after looking at other pictures of the food on here, I feel even more gypped. Now, ten dollars a plate is not so bad I know, but I still want to get what everyone else gets. As for the food, WHY even bother asking what number level of spiciness you want if it's already pre-made, and you're just going to give the customer whatever you have anyways? My Oldest son ordered a 3 on his fried rice, and there was NO heat to it at all, my younger son said between a one, and a two on the Garlic Chicken, and it was almost too spicy for my oldest, and I to eat, and we like spice, so either their cook does not know what he's doing, or the levels are way off. I ordered Mongolian beef with a level two because I was planning on sharing some with my youngest, and there was no heat to that dish either, so the hottest (spiciest) dish was served to my youngest son, the one who does not like spice, go figure. Speaking of the Garlic chicken, it could have been SO good IF they had not used FISH sauce or oils to cook the chicken in, you can't get much more gross than fish flavored chicken. This is where it gets a bit more complicated, and trying to keep a long story short, and group of the employees gathered within ear shot of our table, and started a conversation in their language, but started to say random English words very loudly, towards us, like cheap, and just to save some money, HAHAHA, over and over again, the conversion carried to the back where the English words were no long used once they thought that they were out of my hear shot, were they referring to me and my groupon, maybe, I don't know, but it was an uncomfortable experience to say the least. Top that off with the fact that the top stairs slip grip things (that are supposed to prevent you from slipping) to this place are a bit loose, and so I slipped and almost fell right in front of an employee, and he looked away, and didn't even ask me if I was ok, now that's lame. Oh, and they were out of TP in the bathroom, I looked in the first cupboards, and didn't see any, and so I asked where it was, as I felt awkward digging in their cupboards, and he asked me why I couldn't have just looked in the cupboards, SERIOUSLY, DO YOUR JOB, I should have never had to HUNT the TP down in the first place! I didn't want to leave a tip at all, and I went back and forth, over it, but I still left just a few bucks. Being the only ones there we got our food fast, too fast to get the heat levels we asked for right apparently, the Garlic Chicken sucked, as it tasted like fish, the rest of the food was average, the portions were smaller, that those pictured here, and we felt as though we were being mocked for using a groupon, all in all I was not pleased, and I don't have any plans of ever going back.

Overall, had a pleasant dining experience. Very nice décor, Standard food quality (not quite as spicy as I would have liked). Good service throughout the course of the meal. However upon being presented with an entertainment book coupon the waiter adamantly refused to accept it simply stating, "We don't take those anymore, we stopped taking those a couple months ago". I was shocked! You mean to say that you discontinued accepting coupons from this 2014 entertainment a month after it came out!? I pushed the issue and stated that the coupon plainly did not expire until the end of 2014. His only retort being, "We don't take it anymore, call the people (entertainment book) and see if they can do anything for you." I was taken aback yet again, did he really expect me to call at 8:00pm on a Friday night, let alone over the weekend to see if they can do anything for me? After a couple more pokes at the issue, I payed the bill in full and left disgusted at an establishment that would reject their own year-long coupon three months after it came out. I cannot overstate the disgust that I have for a restaurant works in such a disingenuous manner.

Had Delivery so no comment on the location. I ordered Pad Thai Chicken, Crab Wontons and Thai Coffee. Noodles were perfectly cooked, great flavor and just the right level of spice. Wontons were crispy and tasty. Thai Coffee was really good - a little sweet but just how I like it. Definitely recommend and would say that combo was better than Budda Rushka (SP?).

Horrible Thai Food. Ordered a 3. Spicier than a 5 at most places. Also requested my panang curry to be with shrimp. There were a total of 4 shrimp in the entire dish. Asked for them to add pineapple and they didn't do that either. Awful experience!!!

Hey folks, they deliver now! That deserves 5 stars right there! never mind their mouth watering dishes and friendly staff. They still have the old name out front (under new ownership since December I think), but luckily everything has changed for the better (not there was anything to improve on much). I think they painted or something inside. Couldn't quite place my finger on it but it is very calming and soothing inside and you can't beat the view of the water right across the street! It is a lot more inviting inside than it was before. Food is inexpensive, delicious and their Thai Iced Tea is one of the best I have ever had. I plan on ordering it to go next and testing out their delivery service.

If I could give zero stars I would. The service was mediocre. It felt like we were ignored for long periods and the water was never filled up. Speaking of water, given Seattle's great water system, I have no idea how theirs tastes so bad. With all of that, I probably would have still given them three stars until the yellow curry arrived with seriously uncooked chicken in it. We're talking "pull it out of the bowl and it stretches like raw chicken" uncooked. Absolutely disgusting. Never again - not even if it's free.

Amazing young coconut juice! We loved the spring rolls as well! Came here on a groupon and ended up getting more than expected. It a on top of a Mexican restaurant that was a little noisey, but the amazing food options made up for it! Can't wait to come back!

I have been hooked on eating Thai food once my father's friend opened up a Thai food restaurant two decades ago. That being said I have never been to Thailand unlike others in my family who have (lucky ducks!). So take my review for what it is; a Caucasian woman who has only eaten Thai food in the US. I like this restaurant for what it is...local to me with free delivery, good service, good food and a nice ambience without being pretentious. The food is delicious especially the Pud Kee Mao (Drunken Noodle), Crab Wontons, curries, and Beef Salad. I also like how they take our orders in the restaurant electronically at the table with a tablet now and that we can order online for delivery. This place is small which I love, though it may not be good for large groups. I've seen tables of six make it work. Small parties can sit outside in the warmer months to enjoy the view, grub, and a beer. Few things petty things that I wish were different...sometimes when I call for delivery the phone message says, " The voicemail box is full". I'll call back a minuet later and they answer with no problem. Hopefully they can fix that because I can foresee others giving up and not calling back. I wish that they had the Crispy (fried) Garlic Chicken with Basil dish because that's the only reason we sometimes go to the other Thai restaurants. That being said they do have a Crispy Orange Chicken which is good. I get that each restaurant is different and not everyone on is going to have all of my husband's and my favorite dishes. FYI for others... The Pad Thai is okay, a little bit to much of a ketchup flavor for my taste. It may be that they go heavier on the tamarind paste. Others I have gone with like it though. There is a flight of stairs to reach the restaurant. It's above a Mexican cantina place. Free delivery within a three mile radius.

I ordered online with Eat24 at 730 pm, got notification by email that my order had been cancelled at 800 because there was no response by the restaurant. At 10 pm I get a call from the delivery driver and then a knock on my door. WTF! He did apologize but what the hell man. Between Eat24 and the restaurant itself this was a horrible experience and I will not be using the online site or ordering from this place again. Very disappointing!

My bf and I had a craving for Thai, but our usual place was slammed-busy for Saturday dinner service. Decided to try Thai Landing since it's only a few blocks from our apartment. I ordered the Thai Basil Stir-Fry with chicken, bf got the Phad Thai (Pud Thai) with prawns, and we split an order of Basil Fried Rice with extra veggies. My meal and the rice were both delicious. The "house sauce" used in my stir-fry was extra flavorful, and the veggies were fresh, bright, and cooked to a perfect crisp-tender. Bf's Phad Thai tasted good, but he basically received a big tangle of noodles with 3 lame prawns arranged on top. I had to deduct a star for skimping on the shrimps, guys. Plus, the service was fast and friendly, which was much appreciated after being ignored and basically turned away from the previous Thai restaurant.

This place recently changed owners and has the same menu but the food is poor. We found out about the new management by using an entertainment book coupon that they would not honor. The owner just kept sorry, sorry. Our bill was $85. I think he could of honored the coupon as the entertainment book coupons expire today anyways. Was a repeat customer but with the poor customer service/management and the new ownership not making the same food as before, I will not be going back.

I have ordered delivery from this place a few times and I always enjoy it. I ordered delivery again tonight, delivery was quoted at 30-45 minutes and due to an issue with a new employee, my order ended up taking 2 hours to get to me. I'm not the type of person to get upset, especially about something that I have no control over (well, I guess I could have gotten off of my lazy butt and picked the order up or ordered from somewhere else but whatev). The manager called me herself to let me know when the driver had left with my order. She apologized, gave me a 50% discount on my order and asked that I not let this affect any future decision to dine at her restaurant. I'm satisfied with that. Still a fan.

I really hope the owner of this place reads this review for the sake of their business. There is a reason why there has been Groupon after Groupon for this place. Nobody goes otherwise. The location is perfect, the food is good, but the service is down right horrible! I tried this place twice to see if I came on an off day. Nope! Same crappy service each time. My last time here, there server walked around chatting on his cell phone for nearly 10 minutes prior to even giving our table menus. Please note that both of my visits have been during the day between 3-5pm and the place was a ghost town. My table was literally the only one occupied so there is no excuse for the delay in greeting or service. The Pad Thai is pretty good & the Panang Curry is amazing. Unfortunately, based on service this place has two strikes with me & I am done!

A small group of us had dinner at Thailanding last night - we all absolutely loved the food there! The waiter gave great suggestions (I only wanted veggies, and he recommended their stir fry). The stir fry has tons of fresh-cut veggies and a nice spicy sauce/broth (you let them know how spicy you want whatever you're ordering). For an extra couple dollars, the peanut sauce was great poured over it. The others in our group ordered curries with rice that were exceptional. All fairly big portions. It looks like they've recently remodeled - it looks clean and new. A great place to go after a walk along Alki - rain or shine.

I loved this place when it was Siam Pura, and then was really disappointed with it when it first changed hands. I think it's changed hands again, though -- at any rate, we braved coming back once it changed names to Thai Landing and they put up that cheesy LED sign, and I'm glad we did. The Beef Salad is Thai crack. It sounds kind of boring, I know -- Beef Salad. But, seriously, get it. Get it now. We've also enjoyed the stir fries, and since we're avoiding most grains, it's nice that they don't automatically come with rice or noodles and that they're hearty and filling enough to eat without. The Thai iced teas are really yum, too, though maybe those are hard to screw up. There has been some confusion over the spice levels. To be on the safe side and potentially share with our kids, we usually order a 0 or 1, knowing they tend to err on the spicy side regardless. My husband and I are not spice wusses, but once we got a 3 (on a scale to 5, I believe) and it was barely edible to us. We learned from that. It's also a bit pricey, so it's more of an occasional treat for us than a frequent stop. It's nice that they're open late, since we're night owls. The people who work here are really friendly to everyone in our family (even the annoying ones...). The view can't be beat, and you can sit on the aforementioned landing during the summer to look out over the beach. Of course, my son hates that, because he's afraid of heights, and I admit the deck is a tad rickety. I feel a little bad that they're positioned so high up, because it has to hurt their visits not to be at eye level, but here's hoping they get enough delivery business to stay put!

The food is amazing! I used the groupon and didn't have any issues that people have mentioned before. The service was excellent. Portion sizes are pretty big. I had the pad se mau or drunken noodles and my boyfriend had spicy beef salad. I ordered mine medium spice which was super spicy, and my boyfriend ordered it number 4 spice which was too spicy. Nevertheless the food was amazing! I would definitely recommend this place. So glad I didn't go on the previous comments. Beautiful view of the beach. Great location! If we lived here we would definitely come back!

My wife used to regularly get a Jones on for Buddha Ruska's pumpkin Thai curry. But NOW her favorite is Thai landing on Alki's pumpkin Thai curry. The interior design is quite lovely incredible improvement from the previous restaurant that was there-My wife insisted I go in the women's room to take a look! (I think the only negative really would be that ubiquitous Sports TV flickering down upon us from the ceiling.) So in short: great food seaside view & good service!

Yum! Not sure what took us so long to discover Thailanding. We ordered lunch online for pick-up and had Crispy Garlic Chicken, Green Curry w/ side of brown rice, and Tom Kah soup - all with four stars spice. The guy who took my payment was super friendly, and from what I saw of the interior it was clean and nice. The food was fresh and flavorful and definitely hit the spot. This will be our new go-to spot when the Thai urge hits.

I'm on the fence between 2 and 3 stars... 2.5? You know when its over 65 degrees in Seattle, and its sunny, and everyone and their mother is on Alki? Yah, well you can still probably get seated at this place without having to wait 2 hours. So that's awesome right there. Its right above El Chupacabra. They have both indoor seating and 3 small tables on their deck overlooking the Sound. Its really pretty. The food is where they fall short. This is Seattle - there's decent Thai food every 3 blocks, so I expected the same. I was disappointed. The papaya salad was solid and delicious. The panang curry was watery and the chicken was undercooked. The swimming rama peanut sauce was way to sweet. The pad kee mao was way overseasoned - tasted like salty chinese food. No one at my table could eat more than a couple bites of that dish. The brown rice was actually red... ? And my beer came out pretty warm. I was having to add ice cubes to my glass just to get it cool down a bit. Sad. Service was good for the first part of the meal. Very friendly waiter. Then they got busy, and after we got our food, we were not checked on for nearly 40 minutes. We tried to flag someone down, but they just kept passing us by. Finally went up to bar area to get my bill, and just paid there. I was quite upset by this point, and they did not apologize for keeping me waiting. I likely won't be coming back. I'd take good Thai over Thai with a view any day.

We thoroughly enjoyed our table for four on the deck with superb view of Alki and all its happenings on a glorious sunny day. We had been cycling and decided to have a late lunch/early dinner at 3pm. The waiter was friendly and very helpful when we were ordering. He returned numerous times to refill our water glasses. The food was delicious and perfectly spiced. We had the cashew dish with fried tofu (two stars), the yellow curry (2 stars) and an order of brown rice. Best Thai food we've had in a long time and we do plan to return!

So-So thai spot. If you have time go to Bang Bar or Buddha Ruksa (located in West Seattle). Don't get their Crispy Garlic Chicken (nothing like Buddha Ruksa).

My friends had a good time enjoying our dinner until we got our bills and tried to use our Entertainment coupon which was refused. The only reason.we came here was to try it out because it was in the Entertainment Book. They are running a scam by refusing to let us use the coupon because the coupon does not expire till November 2014. Also they should place a sign stating that they would not accept this coupon. We will not be eating here anymore.

We SOOOO wanted this place to be great for we LOVE Thai food and live just two blocks away. We have tried this place countless of times and are sad to say that we have made the decision to officially NEVER return. The food has always been inconsistent and mediocre at best. But at least, until recently, the service was decent. But now even the service has gone way downhill. We have made our last visit to Thai Landing.

Location...great. Food...ok. Service...terrible. It's a sunny day in Seattle, and everyone and their uncle is on Alki. We had reservations, so no trouble getting seated for our party of 4, but things went downhill from there. They have a pretty extensive menu, and the waitress took our order promptly, but then forgot to bring things like napkins...plates...drinks that we had ordered...a bowl & spoon for the soup...an entree...the check... The staff were friendly, but didn't seem to know how to manage a restaurant on a busy, sunny day. Wait times between ordering and getting served seemed a bit long, and not all of our dishes arrived at the table at the same time. Drinks were forgotten, and basic items like plates and silverware were missing. We had to flag down someone to bring our drinks, then she said they were out of the wine I had ordered, but didn't know what they did have. She then changed her mind and said they do have it. Our two appetizers arrived about 15 minutes apart. Then the soup arrived in an interesting warmer, but with a huge ladle that didn't fit into the tureen. Plus we had to ask for a soup bowl and then ask again for a spoon. After a long spell, two entrees arrived, leaving our last person (me) without food for several more minutes. None of the entrees included a side of rice, which we all thought was a bit unusual for an Asian restaurant. We didn't know if it was an oversight on their part, of if that's the way they do it there. We all agreed that the food tasted good, but not someplace that we could recommend. I doubt that we'll be back.

This place is great! Some of the best thai food in the area! The staff is super friendly and the food is yummy. When we dine we like to try something new and we ask for the staff's opinion. We got the seafood special and it was soo yummy! When we get take out they are very fast and the delivery guy shows up with a smile on his face! Very friendly staff yummy thai food They are above Chupacabra, so maybe hard to find. Since they are on the 2nd floor they have a great view. Sit by the window or if it's sunny they have lots of seating on the deck. Tiny restaurant, but always has seats available!

This is nearly my daily dinner. My sister loves the place. It's a moms-and-pops locally owned business. so points for sustainability and stuff. They use the freshest ingredients. They are always careful to doublecheck your requirements - if you don't want dairy, nuts, vegan, etc. They make pairing recommendations when you are about to do something dumb. They deliver all over Alki.

Tried to use the Entertainment book coupon we purchased but it was refused. They said they stopped participating in the program several months ago. Surprising since the place was empty on a Saturday at 5:30 pm. I see others have tried to use this coupon but were also refused. This restaurant deserves to be shunned for not accepting a valid coupon. We walked out and won't be back until I hear new management has taken over.

I had the cashew nut chicken, Pud Thai prawns, and Thai iced tea. Everything was very good! The 3 star spiceness was pretty spicy for me, but still flavorful. Alki beach is lucky to have a nice Thai restaurant in the area. I'll definitely be back.
